Juz 14
(15:1 – 16:128)
الٓرٰ ؕ تِلۡكَ اٰيٰتُ الۡكِتٰبِ وَقُرۡاٰنٍ مُّبِيۡنٍ ١
15:1
Alif-Lām-Rā. These are the verses of the Book and a clear Qur'an.
رُبَمَا يَوَدُّ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا لَوۡ كَانُوۡا مُسۡلِمِيۡنَ ٢
15:2
Perhaps those who disbelieved will wish that they had been Muslims.
ذَرۡهُمۡ يَاۡكُلُوۡا وَ يَتَمَتَّعُوۡا وَيُلۡهِهِمُ الۡاَمَلُ فَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ٣
15:3
Let them eat and enjoy themselves and be diverted by [false] hope, for they are going to know.
وَمَاۤ اَهۡلَكۡنَا مِنۡ قَرۡيَةٍ اِلَّا وَلَهَا كِتَابٌ مَّعۡلُوۡمٌ ٤
15:4
And We did not destroy any city except that for it was a known term.
مَّا تَسۡبِقُ مِنۡ اُمَّةٍ اَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسۡتَاۡخِرُوۡنَ ٥
15:5
No nation will precede its term, nor will they remain [thereafter].
وَقَالُوۡا يٰۤاَيُّهَا الَّذِىۡ نُزِّلَ عَلَيۡهِ الذِّكۡرُ اِنَّكَ لَمَجۡنُوۡنٌ ؕ ٦
15:6
And they say, "O you upon whom the message [i.e., the Qur'an] was sent down, indeed you are mad.
لَوۡ مَا تَاۡتِيۡنَا بِالۡمَلٰٓئِكَةِ اِنۡ كُنۡتَ مِنَ الصّٰدِقِيۡنَ ٧
15:7
Why do you not bring us the angels, if you should be of the truthful?"
مَا نُنَزِّلُ الۡمَلٰٓئِكَةَ اِلَّا بِالۡحَقِّ وَمَا كَانُوۡۤا اِذًا مُّنۡظَرِيۡنَ ٨
15:8
We do not send down the angels except with truth; and [once sent], they would not be reprieved.
اِنَّا نَحۡنُ نَزَّلۡنَا الذِّكۡرَ وَاِنَّا لَهٗ لَحٰفِظُوۡنَ ٩
15:9
Indeed, it is We who sent down the message [i.e., the Qur'an] and indeed, We will be its guardian.
وَلَقَدۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَا مِنۡ قَبۡلِكَ فِىۡ شِيَعِ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ ١٠
15:10
And We have already sent [messengers] before you among the sects of the former peoples.
وَمَا يَاۡتِيۡهِمۡ مِّنۡ رَّسُوۡلٍ اِلَّا كَانُوۡا بِهٖ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُوۡنَ ١١
15:11
And no messenger would come to them except that they ridiculed him.
كَذٰلِكَ نَسۡلُكُهٗ فِىۡ قُلُوۡبِ الۡمُجۡرِمِيۡنَ ۙ ١٢
15:12
Thus do We insert [rejection] into the hearts of the criminals.
لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِهٖ ۙ وَقَدۡ خَلَتۡ سُنَّةُ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ ١٣
15:13
They will not believe in it, while there has already occurred the precedent of the former peoples.
وَلَوۡ فَتَحۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ بَابًا مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ فَظَلُّوۡا فِيۡهِ يَعۡرُجُوۡنَ ۙ ١٤
15:14
And even if We had opened to them a gate from the heaven and they continued throughout it to ascend,
لَقَالُوۡۤا اِنَّمَا سُكِّرَتۡ اَبۡصَارُنَا بَلۡ نَحۡنُ قَوۡمٌ مَّسۡحُوۡرُوۡنَ ١٥
15:15
They would say, "Our eyes have only been dazzled. Rather, we are a people affected by magic."
وَلَقَدۡ جَعَلۡنَا فِىۡ السَّمَآءِ بُرُوۡجًا وَّ زَيَّنّٰهَا لِلنّٰظِرِيۡنَ ۙ ١٦
15:16
And We have placed within the heaven great stars and beautified it for those who observe,
وَحَفِظۡنٰهَا مِنۡ كُلِّ شَيۡطٰنٍ رَّجِيۡمٍ ۙ ١٧
15:17
And guarded it from every devil, expelled [from the mercy of Allah]
اِلَّا مَنِ اسۡتَرَقَ السَّمۡعَ فَاَتۡبَعَهٗ شِهَابٌ مُّبِيۡنٌ ١٨
15:18
Except one who steals a hearing and is pursued by a clear burning flame.
وَالۡاَرۡضَ مَدَدۡنٰهَا وَاَلۡقَيۡنَا فِيۡهَا رَوَاسِىَ وَاَنۡۢبَتۡنَا فِيۡهَا مِنۡ كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ مَّوۡزُوۡنٍ ١٩
15:19
And the earth - We have spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and caused to grow therein every thing measured.
وَ جَعَلۡنَا لَكُمۡ فِيۡهَا مَعٰيِشَ وَمَنۡ لَّسۡتُمۡ لَهٗ بِرٰزِقِيۡنَ ٢٠
15:20
And We have made for you therein means of livelihood and [for] those whom you are not providers for.
وَ اِنۡ مِّنۡ شَىۡءٍ اِلَّا عِنۡدَنَا خَزَآئِنُهٗ ؕ وَمَا نُنَزِّلُهٗۤ اِلَّا بِقَدَرٍ مَّعۡلُوۡمٍ ٢١
15:21
And there is nothing except that with Us are its depositories, and We do not send it down except according to a known measure.
وَ اَرۡسَلۡنَا الرِّيٰحَ لَوٰقِحَ فَاَنۡزَلۡنَا مِنَ السَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَاَسۡقَيۡنٰكُمُوۡهُ ۚ وَمَاۤ اَنۡتُمۡ لَهٗ بِخٰزِنِيۡنَ ٢٢
15:22
And We have sent the fertilizing winds and sent down from the sky water and given you drink from it. And you are not the ones to store it.
وَاِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ نُحۡيِۦ وَنُمِيۡتُ وَنَحۡنُ الۡوٰرِثُوۡنَ ٢٣
15:23
And indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and We are the inheritors.
وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا الۡمُسۡتَقۡدِمِيۡنَ مِنۡكُمۡ وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا الۡمُسۡتَاۡخِرِيۡنَ ٢٤
15:24
And We have already known the preceding [generations] among you and already known the later [ones].
وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ يَحۡشُرُهُمۡ ؕ اِنَّهٗ حَكِيۡمٌ عَلِيۡمٌ ٢٥
15:25
And indeed, your Lord is the one who will gather them. Indeed, He is Wise and Knowing.
وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا الۡاِنۡسَانَ مِنۡ صَلۡصَالٍ مِّنۡ حَمَاٍ مَّسۡنُوۡنٍ ۙ ٢٦
15:26
And We did create man from a ringing clay from a molded black mud.
وَّ الۡجَآنَّ خَلَقۡنٰهُ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ مِنۡ نَّارِ السَّمُوۡمِ ٢٧
15:27
And the jinn We created before from scorching fire.
وَاِذۡ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلۡمَلٰٓئِكَةِ اِنِّىۡ خَالِقٌۢ بَشَرًا مِّنۡ صَلۡصَالٍ مِّنۡ حَمَاٍ مَّسۡنُوۡنٍ ۙ ٢٨
15:28
And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will create a human being out of ringing clay from a molded black mud.
فَاِذَا سَوَّيۡتُهٗ وَنَفَخۡتُ فِيۡهِ مِنۡ رُّوۡحِىۡ فَقَعُوۡا لَهٗ سٰجِدِيۡنَ ٢٩
15:29
And when I have proportioned him and breathed into him from My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration."
فَسَجَدَ الۡمَلٰٓئِكَةُ كُلُّهُمۡ اَجۡمَعُوۡنَ ۙ ٣٠
15:30
So the angels prostrated - all of them together,
اِلَّاۤ اِبۡلِيۡسَ ؕ اَبٰىۤ اَنۡ يَّكُوۡنَ مَعَ السّٰجِدِيۡنَ ٣١
15:31
Except Iblīs; he refused to be with the prostrators.
قَالَ يٰۤاِبۡلِيۡسُ مَا لَكَ اَلَّا تَكُوۡنَ مَعَ السّٰجِدِيۡنَ ٣٢
15:32
[Allah] said, "O Iblīs, what is [the matter] with you that you are not with those who prostrate?"
قَالَ لَمۡ اَكُنۡ لِّاَسۡجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ خَلَقۡتَهٗ مِنۡ صَلۡصَالٍ مِّنۡ حَمَاٍ مَّسۡنُوۡنٍ ٣٣
15:33
He said, "I would not prostrate to a human being whom You created from ringing clay from a molded black mud."
قَالَ فَاخۡرُجۡ مِنۡهَا فَاِنَّكَ رَجِيۡمٌ ۙ ٣٤
15:34
[Allah] said, "Then get out of Paradise, for indeed, you are expelled.
وَاِنَّ عَلَيۡكَ اللَّعۡنَةَ اِلٰى يَوۡمِ الدِّيۡنِ ٣٥
15:35
And indeed, upon you is the curse until the Day of Recompense."
قَالَ رَبِّ فَاَنۡظِرۡنِىۡۤ اِلٰى يَوۡمِ يُبۡعَثُوۡنَ ٣٦
15:36
He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected."
قَالَ فَاِنَّكَ مِنَ الۡمُنۡظَرِيۡنَ ۙ ٣٧
15:37
[Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved
اِلٰى يَوۡمِ الۡوَقۡتِ الۡمَعۡلُوۡمِ ٣٨
15:38
Until the Day of the appointed time."
قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَاۤ اَغۡوَيۡتَنِىۡ لَاُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمۡ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ وَلَاُغۡوِيَنَّهُمۡ اَجۡمَعِيۡنَ ۙ ٣٩
15:39
[Iblīs] said, "My Lord, because You have put me in error, I will surely make [adherence to righteousness] attractive to them on earth, and I will mislead them all,
اِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنۡهُمُ الۡمُخۡلَصِيۡنَ ٤٠
15:40
Except, among them, Your chosen servants."
قَالَ هٰذَا صِرٰطٌ عَلَىَّ مُسۡتَقِيۡمٌ ؕ ٤١
15:41
[Allah] said, "This is a path [of responsibility] leading to Me, perfectly straight.
اِنَّ عِبَادِىۡ لَيۡسَ لَكَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ سُلۡطٰنٌ اِلَّا مَنِ اتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ الۡغَاوِيۡنَ ٤٢
15:42
Indeed, My [true] servants - no authority will you have over them, except those who follow you of the deviators;
وَاِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمَوۡعِدُهُمۡ اَجۡمَعِيۡنَ ۙ ٤٣
15:43
And indeed, Hell is the promised destination for them all.
لَهَا سَبۡعَةُ اَبۡوَابٍ ؕ لِكُلِّ بَابٍ مِّنۡهُمۡ جُزۡءٌ مَّقۡسُوۡمٌ ٤٤
15:44
It has seven gates; for every gate is a specific portion of them determined."
اِنَّ الۡمُتَّقِيۡنَ فِىۡ جَنّٰتٍ وَّعُيُوۡنٍ ؕ ٤٥
15:45
Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs.
اُدۡخُلُوۡهَا بِسَلٰمٍ اٰمِنِيۡنَ ٤٦
15:46
[They will be told], "Enter it in peace, safe [and secure]."
وَ نَزَعۡنَا مَا فِىۡ صُدُوۡرِهِمۡ مِّنۡ غِلٍّ اِخۡوَانًا عَلٰى سُرُرٍ مُّتَقٰبِلِيۡنَ ٤٧
15:47
And We will remove whatever is in their breasts of resentment, [as] brothers, facing each other on thrones.
لَا يَمَسُّهُمۡ فِيۡهَا نَصَبٌ وَّمَا هُمۡ مِّنۡهَا بِمُخۡرَجِيۡنَ ٤٨
15:48
No fatigue will touch them therein, nor from it will they ever be removed.
نَبِّئۡ عِبَادِىۡۤ اَنِّىۡۤ اَنَا الۡغَفُوۡرُ الرَّحِيۡمُ ۙ ٤٩
15:49
Inform My servants that it is I who am the Forgiving, the Merciful
وَاَنَّ عَذَابِىۡ هُوَ الۡعَذَابُ الۡاَلِيۡمُ ٥٠
15:50
And that it is My punishment which is the painful punishment.
وَنَبِّئۡهُمۡ عَنۡ ضَيۡفِ اِبۡرٰهِيۡمَ ۘ ٥١
15:51
And inform them about the guests of Abraham,
اِذۡ دَخَلُوۡا عَلَيۡهِ فَقَالُوۡا سَلٰمًا ؕ قَالَ اِنَّا مِنۡكُمۡ وَجِلُوۡنَ ٥٢
15:52
When they entered upon him and said, "Peace." He said, "Indeed, we are fearful of you."
قَالُوۡا لَا تَوۡجَلۡ اِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلٰمٍ عَلِيۡمٍ ٥٣
15:53
They said, "Fear not. Indeed, we give you good tidings of a knowing boy."
قَالَ اَبَشَّرۡتُمُوۡنِىۡ عَلٰىۤ اَنۡ مَّسَّنِىَ الۡكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُوۡنَ ٥٤
15:54
He said, "Have you given me good tidings when old age has overtaken me? Then by what [wonder] do you give good tidings?"
قَالُوۡا بَشَّرۡنٰكَ بِالۡحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُنۡ مِّنَ الۡقٰنِطِيۡنَ ٥٥
15:55
They said, "We have given you good tidings in truth, so do not be of the despairing."
قَالَ وَمَنۡ يَّقۡنَطُ مِنۡ رَّحۡمَةِ رَبِّهٖۤ اِلَّا الضَّآلُّوۡنَ ٥٦
15:56
He said, "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord except for those astray?"
قَالَ فَمَا خَطۡبُكُمۡ اَيُّهَا الۡمُرۡسَلُوۡنَ ٥٧
15:57
He said, "Then what is your business, O messengers?"
قَالُوۡۤا اِنَّاۤ اُرۡسِلۡنَاۤ اِلٰى قَوۡمٍ مُّجۡرِمِيۡنَ ۙ ٥٨
15:58
They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a criminal people,
اِلَّاۤ اٰلَ لُوۡطٍ ؕ اِنَّا لَمُنَجُّوۡهُمۡ اَجۡمَعِيۡنَ ۙ ٥٩
15:59
Except the family of Lot; indeed, we will save them all
اِلَّا امۡرَاَتَهٗ قَدَّرۡنَاۤ اِنَّهَا لَمِنَ الۡغٰبِرِيۡنَ ٦٠
15:60
Except his wife," [said the angels]. "We decreed that she will be of those who remain behind."
فَلَمَّا جَآءَ اٰلَ لُوۡطٍ ِۨالۡمُرۡسَلُوۡنَ ۙ ٦١
15:61
And when the messengers came to the family of Lot,
قَالَ اِنَّكُمۡ قَوۡمٌ مُّنۡكَرُوۡنَ ٦٢
15:62
He said, "Indeed, you are a people unknown."
قَالُوۡا بَلۡ جِئۡنٰكَ بِمَا كَانُوۡا فِيۡهِ يَمۡتَرُوۡنَ ٦٣
15:63
They said, "Rather, we have come to you with that about which they used to dispute,
وَاَتَيۡنٰكَ بِالۡحَقِّ وَاِنَّا لَصٰدِقُوۡنَ ٦٤
15:64
And we have brought you the truth, and indeed, we are truthful.
فَاَسۡرِ بِاَهۡلِكَ بِقِطۡعٍ مِّنَ الَّيۡلِ وَاتَّبِعۡ اَدۡبَارَهُمۡ وَلَا يَلۡتَفِتۡ مِنۡكُمۡ اَحَدٌ وَّ امۡضُوۡا حَيۡثُ تُؤۡمَرُوۡنَ ٦٥
15:65
So set out with your family during a portion of the night and follow behind them and let not anyone among you look back, and continue on to where you are commanded."
وَقَضَيۡنَاۤ اِلَيۡهِ ذٰلِكَ الۡاَمۡرَ اَنَّ دَابِرَ هٰٓؤُلَآءِ مَقۡطُوۡعٌ مُّصۡبِحِيۡنَ ٦٦
15:66
And We conveyed to him [Lot] this matter - that those [sinners] collectively would be eliminated by morning.
وَجَآءَ اَهۡلُ الۡمَدِيۡنَةِ يَسۡتَبۡشِرُوۡنَ ٦٧
15:67
And the people of the city came, rejoicing.
قَالَ اِنَّ هٰٓؤُلَآءِ ضَيۡفِىۡ فَلَا تَفۡضَحُوۡنِ ٦٨
15:68
[Lot] said, "Indeed, these are my guests, so do not shame me.
وَاتَّقُوۡا اللّٰهَ وَلَا تُخۡزُوۡنِ ٦٩
15:69
And fear Allah and do not disgrace me."
قَالُوۡۤا اَوَلَمۡ نَنۡهَكَ عَنِ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ ٧٠
15:70
They said, "Have we not forbidden you from [hosting] people?"
قَالَ هٰٓؤُلَآءِ بَنٰتِىۡۤ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ فٰعِلِيۡنَ ٧١
15:71
He said, "These are my daughters - if you would be performers [of lawful marriage]."
لَعَمۡرُكَ اِنَّهُمۡ لَفِىۡ سَكۡرَتِهِمۡ يَعۡمَهُوۡنَ ٧٢
15:72
By your life, [O Muhammad], indeed they were, in their intoxication, wandering blindly.
فَاَخَذَتۡهُمُ الصَّيۡحَةُ مُشۡرِقِيۡنَ ۙ ٧٣
15:73
So the scream seized them at sunrise.
فَجَعَلۡنَا عَالِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَ اَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ حِجَارَةً مِّنۡ سِجِّيۡلٍ ٧٤
15:74
And We made the top of it [the city] its bottom and rained upon them stones of hard clay.
اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّلۡمُتَوَسِّمِيۡنَ ۙ ٧٥
15:75
Indeed in that are signs for those who discern.
وَاِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِيۡلٍ مُّقِيۡمٍ ٧٦
15:76
And indeed, those [cities] are on an established road.
اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ ٧٧
15:77
Indeed in that is a sign for the believers.
وَاِنۡ كَانَ اَصۡحٰبُ الۡاَيۡكَةِ لَظٰلِمِيۡنَ ۙ ٧٨
15:78
And indeed, were the companions of the thicket [i.e., the people of Midian] wrongdoers.
فَانۡتَقَمۡنَا مِنۡهُمۡ ۘ وَاِنَّهُمَا لَبِاِمَامٍ مُّبِيۡنٍ ٧٩
15:79
So We took retribution from them. And indeed, both are on a clear highway.
وَلَقَدۡ كَذَّبَ اَصۡحٰبُ الۡحِجۡرِ الۡمُرۡسَلِيۡنَ ۙ ٨٠
15:80
And the companions of Al-Ḥijr [i.e., Thamūd] denied the messengers.
وَاٰتَيۡنٰهُمۡ اٰيٰتِنَا فَكَانُوۡا عَنۡهَا مُعۡرِضِيۡنَ ٨١
15:81
And We gave them Our signs, but they were from them turning away.
وَكَانُوۡا يَنۡحِتُوۡنَ مِنَ الۡجِبَالِ بُيُوۡتًا اٰمِنِيۡنَ ٨٢
15:82
And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure.
فَاَخَذَتۡهُمُ الصَّيۡحَةُ مُصۡبِحِيۡنَ ۙ ٨٣
15:83
But the scream seized them at morning.
فَمَاۤ اَغۡنٰى عَنۡهُمۡ مَّا كَانُوۡا يَكۡسِبُوۡنَ ٨٤
15:84
So whatever they used to earn availed them not.
وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَاۤ اِلَّا بِالۡحَقِّ ؕ وَاِنَّ السَّاعَةَ لَاٰتِيَةٌ ۘ فَاصۡفَحِ الصَّفۡحَ الۡجَمِيۡلَ ٨٥
15:85
And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness.
اِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ الۡخَلّٰقُ الۡعَلِيۡمُ ٨٦
15:86
Indeed, your Lord - He is the Creator, the Knowing.
وَلَقَدۡ اٰتَيۡنٰكَ سَبۡعًا مِّنَ الۡمَثَانِىۡ وَالۡقُرۡاٰنَ الۡعَظِيۡمَ ٨٧
15:87
And We have certainly given you seven of the often-repeated [verses] and the great Qur'an.
لَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَيۡنَيۡكَ اِلٰى مَا مَتَّعۡنَا بِهٖۤ اَزۡوَاجًا مِّنۡهُمۡ وَلَا تَحۡزَنۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَاخۡفِضۡ جَنَاحَكَ لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ ٨٨
15:88
Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [various] categories of them, and do not grieve over them, and lower your wing to the believers.
وَقُلۡ اِنِّىۡۤ اَنَا النَّذِيۡرُ الۡمُبِيۡنُ ۙ ٨٩
15:89
And say, "Indeed, I am the plain warner."
كَمَاۤ اَنۡزَلۡنَا عَلَى الۡمُقۡتَسِمِيۡنَ ۙ ٩٠
15:90
[The warning is similar] to what We sent down to the dividers -
الَّذِيۡنَ جَعَلُوۡا الۡقُرۡاٰنَ عِضِيۡنَ ٩١
15:91
Who made the Qur'an into fragments [i.e., parts they accept and parts they reject].
فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَسۡـَٔلَنَّهُمۡ اَجۡمَعِيۡنَ ۙ ٩٢
15:92
So, by your Lord, We will surely question them all
عَمَّا كَانُوۡا يَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ٩٣
15:93
About whatever they used to do.
فَاصۡدَعۡ بِمَا تُؤۡمَرُ وَ اَعۡرِضۡ عَنِ الۡمُشۡرِكِيۡنَ ٩٤
15:94
Then declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists.
اِنَّا كَفَيۡنٰكَ الۡمُسۡتَهۡزِءِيۡنَ ۙ ٩٥
15:95
Indeed, We have been sufficient for you against the mockers
الَّذِيۡنَ يَجۡعَلُوۡنَ مَعَ اللّٰهِ اِلٰهًا اٰخَرَ ۚ فَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ٩٦
15:96
Who make [there to be] another deity with Allah. But they are going to know.
وَلَقَدۡ نَعۡلَمُ اَنَّكَ يَضِيۡقُ صَدۡرُكَ بِمَا يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ ۙ ٩٧
15:97
And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say.
فَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ وَكُنۡ مِّنَ السّٰجِدِيۡنَ ٩٨
15:98
So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him].
وَاعۡبُدۡ رَبَّكَ حَتّٰى يَاۡتِيَكَ الۡيَقِيۡنُ ٩٩
15:99
And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death).
اَتٰىۤ اَمۡرُ اللّٰهِ فَلَا تَسۡتَعۡجِلُوۡهُ ؕ سُبۡحٰنَهٗ وَتَعٰلٰى عَمَّا يُشۡرِكُوۡنَ ١
16:1
The command of Allah is coming, so do not impatiently seek to hasten it. Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him.
يُنَزِّلُ الۡمَلٰٓئِكَةَ بِالرُّوۡحِ مِنۡ اَمۡرِهٖ عَلٰى مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ مِنۡ عِبَادِهٖۤ اَنۡ اَنۡذِرُوۡۤا اَنَّهٗ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّاۤ اَنَا فَاتَّقُوۡنِ ٢
16:2
He sends down the angels with the inspiration of His command upon whom He wills of His servants, [saying], "Warn that there is no deity except Me, so fear Me."
خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضَ بِالۡحَقِّ ؕ تَعٰلٰى عَمَّا يُشۡرِكُوۡنَ ٣
16:3
He created the heavens and earth in truth. Exalted is He above that which they associate with Him.
خَلَقَ الۡاِنۡسَانَ مِنۡ نُّطۡفَةٍ فَاِذَا هُوَ خَصِيۡمٌ مُّبِيۡنٌ ٤
16:4
He created man from a sperm-drop; then suddenly he is a clear adversary.
وَالۡاَنۡعَامَ خَلَقَهَا ؕ لَكُمۡ فِيۡهَا دِفۡءٌ وَّمَنَافِعُ وَمِنۡهَا تَاۡكُلُوۡنَ ٥
16:5
And the livestock, He created them for you; in them is warmth and [numerous] benefits, and from them you eat.
وَلَكُمۡ فِيۡهَا جَمَالٌ حِيۡنَ تُرِيۡحُوۡنَ وَحِيۡنَ تَسۡرَحُوۡنَ ۙ ٦
16:6
And for you in them is [the enjoyment of] beauty when you bring them in [to rest] and when you send them out [to graze].
وَتَحۡمِلُ اَثۡقَالَكُمۡ اِلٰى بَلَدٍ لَّمۡ تَكُوۡنُوۡا بٰلِغِيۡهِ اِلَّا بِشِقِّ الۡاَنۡفُسِ ؕ اِنَّ رَبَّكُمۡ لَرَءُوۡفٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ ۙ ٧
16:7
And they carry your loads to a land you could not have reached except with difficulty to yourselves. Indeed, your Lord is Kind and Merciful.
وَّالۡخَيۡلَ وَالۡبِغَالَ وَالۡحَمِيۡرَ لِتَرۡكَبُوۡهَا وَزِيۡنَةً ؕ وَّيَخۡلُقُ مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ٨
16:8
And [He created] the horses, mules and donkeys for you to ride upon and [as] adornment. And He creates that which you do not know.
وَعَلَى اللّٰهِ قَصۡدُ السَّبِيۡلِ وَمِنۡهَا جَآئِرٌ ؕ وَلَوۡ شَآءَ لَهَدٰٮكُمۡ اَجۡمَعِيۡنَ ٩
16:9
And upon Allah is the direction of the [right] way, and among the roads are deviating ones. And if He had willed, He would have guided you all.
هُوَ الَّذِىۡۤ اَنۡزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ مَآءً لَّكُمۡ مِّنۡهُ شَرَابٌ وَّمِنۡهُ شَجَرٌ فِيۡهِ تُسِيۡمُوۡنَ ١٠
16:10
It is He who sends down water from the sky; from it is [that from] which you drink, and from it is vegetation from which you feed [your animals].
يُنۡۢبِتُ لَكُمۡ بِهِ الزَّرۡعَ وَالزَّيۡتُوۡنَ وَالنَّخِيۡلَ وَالۡاَعۡنَابَ وَمِنۡ كُلِّ الثَّمَرٰتِ ؕ اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً لِّقَوۡمٍ يَّتَفَكَّرُوۡنَ ١١
16:11
He causes to grow for you thereby the crops, the olives, the date-palms, the grapes, and all the fruits. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who give thought.
وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الَّيۡلَ وَالنَّهَارَ ۙ وَالشَّمۡسَ وَ الۡقَمَرَ ؕ وَالنُّجُوۡمُ مُسَخَّرٰتٌ ۢ بِاَمۡرِهٖ ؕ اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّقَوۡمٍ يَّعۡقِلُوۡنَ ۙ ١٢
16:12
And He subjected for you the night and day and the sun and moon. And the stars are subjected by His command. Indeed in that are signs for a people who reason.
وَمَا ذَرَاَ لَكُمۡ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ مُخۡتَلِفًا اَلۡوَانُهٗ ؕ اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً لِّقَوۡمٍ يَّذَّكَّرُوۡنَ ١٣
16:13
And [He subjected] whatever He multiplied for you on earth of varying colors. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who remember.
وَهُوَ الَّذِىۡ سَخَّرَ الۡبَحۡرَ لِتَاۡكُلُوۡا مِنۡهُ لَحۡمًا طَرِيًّا وَّ تَسۡتَخۡرِجُوۡا مِنۡهُ حِلۡيَةً تَلۡبَسُوۡنَهَا ۚ وَتَرَى الۡفُلۡكَ مَوَاخِرَ فِيۡهِ وَ لِتَبۡتَغُوۡا مِنۡ فَضۡلِهٖ وَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُوۡنَ ١٤
16:14
And it is He who subjected the sea for you to eat from it tender meat and extract from it ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships ploughing through it, and [He subjected it] that you may seek from His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful.
وَاَلۡقٰى فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ رَوَاسِىَ اَنۡ تَمِيۡدَ بِكُمۡ وَاَنۡهٰرًا وَّسُبُلًا لَّعَلَّكُمۡ تَهۡتَدُوۡنَ ۙ ١٥
16:15
And He has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it shift with you, and [made] rivers and roads, that you may be guided,
وَعَلٰمٰتٍ ؕ وَ بِالنَّجۡمِ هُمۡ يَهۡتَدُوۡنَ ١٦
16:16
And marks [landmarks]. And by the stars they are [also] guided.
اَفَمَنۡ يَّخۡلُقُ كَمَنۡ لَّا يَخۡلُقُ ؕ اَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُوۡنَ ١٧
16:17
Then is He who creates like one who does not create? Will you not be reminded?
وَاِنۡ تَعُدُّوۡا نِعۡمَةَ اللّٰهِ لَا تُحۡصُوۡهَا ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَغَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ ١٨
16:18
And if you should count the favors of Allah, you would not be able to enumerate them. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
وَاللّٰهُ يَعۡلَمُ مَا تُسِرُّوۡنَ وَمَا تُعۡلِنُوۡنَ ١٩
16:19
And Allah knows what you conceal and what you declare.
وَالَّذِيۡنَ يَدۡعُوۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ لَا يَخۡلُقُوۡنَ شَيۡئًا وَّهُمۡ يُخۡلَقُوۡنَ ؕ ٢٠
16:20
And those they invoke besides Allah create nothing, and they themselves are created.
اَمۡوَاتٌ غَيۡرُ اَحۡيَآءٍ ۚ وَمَا يَشۡعُرُوۡنَ اَيَّانَ يُبۡعَثُوۡنَ ٢١
16:21
They are lifeless, not alive, and they perceive not when they will be resurrected.
اِلٰهُكُمۡ اِلٰهٌ وَّاحِدٌ ۚ فَالَّذِيۡنَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِالۡاٰخِرَةِ قُلُوۡبُهُمۡ مُّنۡكِرَةٌ وَّ هُمۡ مُّسۡتَكۡبِرُوۡنَ ٢٢
16:22
Your God is one God. But those who do not believe in the Hereafter - their hearts are rejecting, and they are arrogant.
لَا جَرَمَ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ يَعۡلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّوۡنَ وَمَا يُعۡلِنُوۡنَ ؕ اِنَّهٗ لَا يُحِبُّ الۡمُسۡتَكۡبِرِيۡنَ ٢٣
16:23
Assuredly, Allah knows what they conceal and what they declare. Indeed, He does not like the arrogant.
وَاِذَا قِيۡلَ لَهُمۡ مَّاذَاۤ اَنۡزَلَ رَبُّكُمۡ ۙ قَالُوۡۤا اَسَاطِيۡرُ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ ۙ ٢٤
16:24
And when it is said to them, "What has your Lord sent down?" They say, "Legends of the former peoples,"
لِيَحۡمِلُوۡۤا اَوۡزَارَهُمۡ كَامِلَةً يَّوۡمَ الۡقِيٰمَةِ ۙ وَمِنۡ اَوۡزَارِ الَّذِيۡنَ يُضِلُّوۡنَهُمۡ بِغَيۡرِ عِلۡمٍ ؕ اَلَا سَآءَ مَا يَزِرُوۡنَ ٢٥
16:25
That they may bear their own burdens in full on the Day of Resurrection and some of the burdens of those whom they misguided without knowledge. Unquestionably, evil is that which they bear.
قَدۡ مَكَرَ الَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِمۡ فَاَتَى اللّٰهُ بُنۡيَانَهُمۡ مِّنَ الۡقَوَاعِدِ فَخَرَّ عَلَيۡهِمُ السَّقۡفُ مِنۡ فَوۡقِهِمۡ وَاَتٰٮهُمُ الۡعَذَابُ مِنۡ حَيۡثُ لَا يَشۡعُرُوۡنَ ٢٦
16:26
Those before them had planned, but Allah destroyed their structure at the foundations, so the roof fell upon them from above them, and the punishment came to them from where they did not perceive.
ثُمَّ يَوۡمَ الۡقِيٰمَةِ يُخۡزِيۡهِمۡ وَيَقُوۡلُ اَيۡنَ شُرَكَآءِىَ الَّذِيۡنَ كُنۡتُمۡ تُشَآقُّوۡنَ فِيۡهِمۡ ؕ قَالَ الَّذِيۡنَ اُوۡتُوۡا الۡعِلۡمَ اِنَّ الۡخِزۡىَ الۡيَوۡمَ وَالسُّوۡٓءَ عَلَى الۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ ۙ ٢٧
16:27
Then on the Day of Resurrection He will disgrace them and say, "Where are My 'partners' for whom you used to dispute?" Those who were given knowledge will say, "Indeed disgrace, this Day, and evil are upon the disbelievers."
الَّذِيۡنَ تَتَوَفّٰٮهُمُ الۡمَلٰٓئِكَةُ ظَالِمِىۡۤ اَنۡفُسِهِمۡ ۖ فَاَلۡقَوۡا السَّلَمَ مَا كُنَّا نَعۡمَلُ مِنۡ سُوۡٓءٍ ؕ بَلٰىۤ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلِيۡمٌۢ بِمَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ٢٨
16:28
The ones whom the angels take in death while they are wronging themselves, then they submit [saying], "We were not doing any evil." But no! Indeed, Allah is Knowing of what you used to do.
فَادۡخُلُوۡۤا اَبۡوَابَ جَهَنَّمَ خٰلِدِيۡنَ فِيۡهَا ؕ فَلَبِئۡسَ مَثۡوَى الۡمُتَكَبِّرِيۡنَ ٢٩
16:29
So enter the gates of Hell to abide eternally therein. And wretched is the residence of the arrogant.
وَقِيۡلَ لِلَّذِيۡنَ اتَّقَوۡا مَاذَاۤ اَنۡزَلَ رَبُّكُمۡ ؕ قَالُوۡا خَيۡرًا ۘ لِّلَّذِيۡنَ اَحۡسَنُوۡا فِىۡ هٰذِهِ الدُّنۡيَا حَسَنَةٌ ؕ وَلَدَارُ الۡاٰخِرَةِ خَيۡرٌ ؕ وَلَنِعۡمَ دَارُ الۡمُتَّقِيۡنَ ۙ ٣٠
16:30
And it will be said to those who feared Allah, "What did your Lord send down?" They will say, "[That which is] good." For those who have done good in this world is good, and the home of the Hereafter is better. And excellent is the home of the righteous -
جَنّٰتُ عَدۡنٍ يَّدۡخُلُوۡنَهَا تَجۡرِىۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِهَا الۡاَنۡهٰرُ ۙ لَهُمۡ فِيۡهَا مَا يَشَآءُونَ ؕ كَذٰلِكَ يَجۡزِى اللّٰهُ الۡمُتَّقِيۡنَ ۙ ٣١
16:31
Gardens of perpetual residence which they will enter, beneath which rivers flow. They will have therein whatever they wish. Thus does Allah reward the righteous -
الَّذِيۡنَ تَتَوَفّٰٮهُمُ الۡمَلٰٓئِكَةُ طَيِّبِيۡنَ ۙ يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ سَلٰمٌ عَلَيۡكُمُ ادۡخُلُوۡا الۡجَنَّةَ بِمَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ٣٢
16:32
The ones whom the angels take in death, being pure and good; [the angels] will say, "Peace be upon you; enter Paradise because of what you used to do."
هَلۡ يَنۡظُرُوۡنَ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ تَاۡتِيَهُمُ الۡمَلٰٓئِكَةُ اَوۡ يَاۡتِىَ اَمۡرُ رَبِّكَ ؕ كَذٰلِكَ فَعَلَ الَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِمۡ ؕ وَمَا ظَلَمَهُمُ اللّٰهُ وَلٰكِنۡ كَانُوۡۤا اَنۡفُسَهُمۡ يَظۡلِمُوۡنَ ٣٣
16:33
Do they await anything except that the angels should come to them or there should come the command of your Lord? Thus did those before them. And Allah did not wrong them, but they were only wronging themselves.
فَاَصَابَهُمۡ سَيِّاٰتُ مَا عَمِلُوۡا وَحَاقَ بِهِمۡ مَّا كَانُوۡا بِهٖ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُوۡنَ ٣٤
16:34
So the evil consequences of what they did struck them, and they were enveloped by what they used to ridicule.
وَقَالَ الَّذِيۡنَ اَشۡرَكُوۡا لَوۡ شَآءَ اللّٰهُ مَا عَبَدۡنَا مِنۡ دُوۡنِهٖ مِنۡ شَىۡءٍ نَّحۡنُ وَلَاۤ اٰبَآؤُنَا وَلَا حَرَّمۡنَا مِنۡ دُوۡنِهٖ مِنۡ شَىۡءٍ ؕ كَذٰلِكَ فَعَلَ الَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِمۡ ؕ فَهَلۡ عَلَى الرُّسُلِ اِلَّا الۡبَلٰغُ الۡمُبِيۡنُ ٣٥
16:35
And those who associate others with Allah say, "If Allah had willed, we would not have worshipped anything besides Him, neither we nor our fathers, nor would we have forbidden anything without [a command from] Him." Thus did those before them. So has the messengers' duty been other than only clear notification?
وَلَقَدۡ بَعَثۡنَا فِىۡ كُلِّ اُمَّةٍ رَّسُوۡلًا اَنِ اعۡبُدُوا اللّٰهَ وَاجۡتَنِبُوۡا الطَّاغُوۡتَ ۚ فَمِنۡهُمۡ مَّنۡ هَدَى اللّٰهُ وَمِنۡهُمۡ مَّنۡ حَقَّتۡ عَلَيۡهِ الضَّلٰلَةُ ؕ فَسِيۡرُوۡا فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ فَانۡظُرُوۡا كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الۡمُكَذِّبِيۡنَ ٣٦
16:36
And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], "Worship Allah and avoid ṭāghūt (false deities)." And among them were those whom Allah guided, and among them were those upon whom error was deserved. So travel through the land and observe how was the end of the deniers.
اِنۡ تَحۡرِصۡ عَلٰى هُدٰٮهُمۡ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يَهۡدِىۡ مَنۡ يُّضِلُّ ۙ وَمَا لَهُمۡ مِّنۡ نّٰصِرِيۡنَ ٣٧
16:37
If you [even] strive for their guidance, [it will avail nothing]. Indeed, Allah does not guide those whom He sends astray, and for them there are no helpers.
وَاَقۡسَمُوۡا بِاللّٰهِ جَهۡدَ اَيۡمَانِهِمۡ لَا يَبۡعَثُ اللّٰهُ مَنۡ يَّمُوۡتُ ؕ بَلٰى وَعۡدًا عَلَيۡهِ حَقًّا وَّلٰكِنَّ اَكۡثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ۙ ٣٨
16:38
And they swear by Allah their strongest oaths that Allah will not resurrect one who dies. But yes - [it is] a true promise [binding] upon Him, but most of the people do not know.
لِيُبَيِّنَ لَهُمُ الَّذِىۡ يَخۡتَلِفُوۡنَ فِيۡهِ وَلِيَعۡلَمَ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡۤا اَنَّهُمۡ كَانُوۡا كٰذِبِيۡنَ ٣٩
16:39
To make clear to them that wherein they disagree and that those who disbelieved may know that they had been liars.
اِنَّمَا قَوۡلُنَا لِشَىۡءٍ اِذَاۤ اَرَدۡنٰهُ اَنۡ نَّقُوۡلَ لَهٗ كُنۡ فَيَكُوۡنُ ٤٠
16:40
Our word to a thing when We intend it is only to say to it, "Be," and it is.
وَالَّذِيۡنَ هَاجَرُوۡا فِىۡ اللّٰهِ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَا ظُلِمُوۡا لَنُبَوِّئَنَّهُمۡ فِىۡ الدُّنۡيَا حَسَنَةً ؕ وَلَاَجۡرُ الۡاٰخِرَةِ اَكۡبَرُ ؕ لَوۡ كَانُوۡا يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ۙ ٤١
16:41
And those who emigrated for [the cause of] Allah after they had been wronged - We will surely settle them in this world in a good place; and the reward of the Hereafter is greater, if only they could know.
الَّذِيۡنَ صَبَرُوۡا وَعَلٰى رَبِّهِمۡ يَتَوَكَّلُوۡنَ ٤٢
16:42
[They are] those who endured patiently and relied upon their Lord.
وَمَاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَا مِنۡ قَبۡلِكَ اِلَّا رِجَالًا نُّوۡحِىۡۤ اِلَيۡهِمۡ فَسۡـَٔلُوۡۤا اَهۡلَ الذِّكۡرِ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ۙ ٤٣
16:43
And We sent not before you except men to whom We revealed [Our message]. So ask the people of the message if you do not know.
بِالۡبَيِّنٰتِ وَالزُّبُرِ ؕ وَاَنۡزَلۡنَاۤ اِلَيۡكَ الذِّكۡرَ لِتُبَيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ مَا نُزِّلَ اِلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَعَلَّهُمۡ يَتَفَكَّرُوۡنَ ٤٤
16:44
[We sent them] with clear proofs and written ordinances. And We revealed to you the message that you may make clear to the people what was sent down to them and that they might give thought.
اَفَاَمِنَ الَّذِيۡنَ مَكَرُوۡا السَّيِّاٰتِ اَنۡ يَّخۡسِفَ اللّٰهُ بِهِمُ الۡاَرۡضَ اَوۡ يَاۡتِيَهُمُ الۡعَذَابُ مِنۡ حَيۡثُ لَا يَشۡعُرُوۡنَ ۙ ٤٥
16:45
Then, did those who planned evil deeds feel secure that Allah would not cause the earth to swallow them or that the punishment would not come to them from where they perceive not?
اَوۡ يَاۡخُذَهُمۡ فِىۡ تَقَلُّبِهِمۡ فَمَا هُمۡ بِمُعۡجِزِيۡنَ ۙ ٤٦
16:46
Or that He would not seize them during their coming and going, when they could not frustrate Him?
اَوۡ يَاۡخُذَهُمۡ عَلٰى تَخَوُّفٍ ؕ فَاِنَّ رَبَّكُمۡ لَرَءُوۡفٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ ٤٧
16:47
Or that He would not seize them gradually [in various stages of humiliation]? But indeed, your Lord is Kind and Merciful.
اَوَلَمۡ يَرَوۡا اِلٰى مَا خَلَقَ اللّٰهُ مِنۡ شَىۡءٍ يَّتَفَيَّؤُا ظِلٰلُهٗ عَنِ الۡيَمِيۡنِ وَالشَّمَآئِلِ سُجَّدًا لِّلّٰهِ وَهُمۡ دَاخِرُوۡنَ ٤٨
16:48
Have they not considered everything God has created? Their shadows incline to the right and to the left, prostrating to Allah, while they are humble.
وَلِلّٰهِ يَسۡجُدُ مَا فِىۡ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ مِنۡ دَآبَّةٍ وَّالۡمَلٰٓئِكَةُ وَهُمۡ لَا يَسۡتَكۡبِرُوۡنَ ٤٩
16:49
And to Allah prostrates whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth of creatures, and the angels [as well], and they are not arrogant.
يَخَافُوۡنَ رَبَّهُمۡ مِّنۡ فَوۡقِهِمۡ وَيَفۡعَلُوۡنَ مَا يُؤۡمَرُوۡنَ ۩ ٥٠
16:50
They fear their Lord above them, and they do what they are commanded.
وَقَالَ اللّٰهُ لَا تَتَّخِذُوۡۤا اِلٰهَيۡنِ اثۡنَيۡنِ ۚ اِنَّمَا هُوَ اِلٰهٌ وَّاحِدٌ ۚ فَاِيَّايَ فَارۡهَبُوۡنِ ٥١
16:51
And Allah has said, "Do not take for yourselves two deities. Indeed, He is but one God, so fear only Me."
وَلَهٗ مَا فِىۡ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ وَلَهُ الدِّيۡنُ وَاصِبًا ؕ اَفَغَيۡرَ اللّٰهِ تَتَّقُوۡنَ ٥٢
16:52
And to Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth, and to Him is [due] worship constantly. Then is it other than Allah that you fear?
وَمَا بِكُمۡ مِّنۡ نِّعۡمَةٍ فَمِنَ اللّٰهِ ؕ ثُمَّ اِذَا مَسَّكُمُ الضُّرُّ فَاِلَيۡهِ تَجۡـَٔرُوۡنَ ؕ ٥٣
16:53
And whatever favor you have - it is from Allah. Then when adversity touches you, to Him alone you cry for help.
ثُمَّ اِذَا كَشَفَ الضُّرَّ عَنۡكُمۡ اِذَا فَرِيۡقٌ مِّنۡكُمۡ بِرَبِّهِمۡ يُشۡرِكُوۡنَ ۙ ٥٤
16:54
Then when He removes the adversity from you, at once a party of you associates others with their Lord,
لِيَكۡفُرُوۡا بِمَاۤ اٰتَيۡنٰهُمۡ ؕ فَتَمَتَّعُوۡا فَسَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ٥٥
16:55
So they will deny that which We have given them. Then enjoy yourselves, for you are going to know.
وَيَجۡعَلُوۡنَ لِمَا لَا يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ نَصِيۡبًا مِّمَّا رَزَقۡنٰهُمۡ ؕ تَاللّٰهِ لَتُسۡـَٔلُنَّ عَمَّا كُنۡتُمۡ تَفۡتَرُوۡنَ ٥٦
16:56
And they assign to what they know not a share of that which We have provided for them. By Allah, you will surely be questioned about what you used to invent.
وَيَجۡعَلُوۡنَ لِلّٰهِ الۡبَنٰتِ سُبۡحٰنَهٗ ۙ وَلَهُمۡ مَّا يَشۡتَهُوۡنَ ٥٧
16:57
And they attribute to Allah daughters - exalted is He - and for them is what they desire [i.e., sons].
وَاِذَا بُشِّرَ اَحَدُهُمۡ بِالۡاُنۡثٰى ظَلَّ وَجۡهُهٗ مُسۡوَدًّا وَّهُوَ كَظِيۡمٌ ۚ ٥٨
16:58
And when one of them is informed of [the birth of] a female, his face remains darkened, and he is silent in sadness.
يَتَوٰرٰى مِنۡ الۡقَوۡمِ مِنۡ سُوۡٓءِ مَا بُشِّرَ بِهٖ ؕ اَيُمۡسِكُهٗ عَلٰى هُوۡنٍ اَمۡ يَدُسُّهٗ فِىۡ التُّرَابِ ؕ اَلَا سَآءَ مَا يَحۡكُمُوۡنَ ٥٩
16:59
He hides himself from the people because of the evil of that which he has been informed. Should he keep it in humiliation or bury it in the dust? Unquestionably, evil is what they decide.
لِلَّذِيۡنَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِالۡاٰخِرَةِ مَثَلُ السَّوۡءِ ۚ وَلِلّٰهِ الۡمَثَلُ الۡاَعۡلٰى ؕ وَهُوَ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الۡحَكِيۡمُ ٦٠
16:60
For those who do not believe in the Hereafter is the worst description, and for Allah is the highest attribute. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
وَلَوۡ يُؤَاخِذُ اللّٰهُ النَّاسَ بِظُلۡمِهِمۡ مَّا تَرَكَ عَلَيۡهَا مِنۡ دَآبَّةٍ وَّلٰكِنۡ يُّؤَخِّرُهُمۡ اِلٰىۤ اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ۚ فَاِذَا جَآءَ اَجَلُهُمۡ لَا يَسۡتَاۡخِرُوۡنَ سَاعَةً وَّلَا يَسۡتَقۡدِمُوۡنَ ٦١
16:61
And if Allah were to impose blame upon the people for their wrongdoing, He would not have left upon the earth any creature, but He defers them until an appointed time. And when their time comes, they will not remain an hour longer or precede [it].
وَيَجۡعَلُوۡنَ لِلّٰهِ مَا يَكۡرَهُوۡنَ ۖ وَتَصِفُ اَلۡسِنَتُهُمُ الۡكَذِبَ اَنَّ لَهُمُ الۡحُسۡنٰى ؕ لَا جَرَمَ اَنَّ لَهُمُ النَّارَ وَاَنَّهُمۡ مُّفۡرَطُوۡنَ ٦٢
16:62
And they attribute to Allah that which they dislike, and their tongues utter falsehood that they will have the best [reward]. Assuredly, for them is the Fire, and they will be [therein] neglected.
تَاللّٰهِ لَقَدۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَاۤ اِلٰىۤ اُمَمٍ مِّنۡ قَبۡلِكَ فَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيۡطٰنُ اَعۡمَالَهُمۡ فَهُوَ وَلِيُّهُمُ الۡيَوۡمَ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ اَلِيۡمٌ ٦٣
16:63
By Allah, We certainly sent [messengers] to nations before you, but Satan made their deeds attractive to them. So he is their ally today, and they will have a painful punishment.
وَمَاۤ اَنۡزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ الۡكِتٰبَ اِلَّا لِتُبَيِّنَ لَهُمُ الَّذِىۡ اخۡتَلَفُوۡا فِيۡهِ ۙ وَهُدًى وَّرَحۡمَةً لِّقَوۡمٍ يُّؤۡمِنُوۡنَ ٦٤
16:64
And We have not revealed to you the Book except for you to make clear to them that wherein they have differed, and as guidance and mercy for a people who believe.
وَاللّٰهُ اَنۡزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَاَحۡيَا بِهِ الۡاَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِهَا ؕ اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً لِّقَوۡمٍ يَّسۡمَعُوۡنَ ؕ ٦٥
16:65
And Allah has sent down rain from the sky and given life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who hear.
وَاِنَّ لَكُمۡ فِىۡ الۡاَنۡعَامِ لَعِبۡرَةً ؕ نُسۡقِيۡكُمۡ مِّمَّا فِىۡ بُطُوۡنِهٖ مِنۡۢ بَيۡنِ فَرۡثٍ وَّ دَمٍ لَّبَنًا خَالِصًا سَآئِغًا لِّلشّٰرِبِيۡنَ ٦٦
16:66
And indeed, for you in grazing livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies - between excretion and blood - pure milk, palatable to drinkers.
وَمِنۡ ثَمَرٰتِ النَّخِيۡلِ وَالۡاَعۡنَابِ تَتَّخِذُوۡنَ مِنۡهُ سَكَرًا وَّرِزۡقًا حَسَنًا ؕ اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً لِّقَوۡمٍ يَّعۡقِلُوۡنَ ٦٧
16:67
And from the fruits of the date-palms and grapevines you take intoxicants therefrom and good provision. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who reason.
وَاَوۡحٰى رَبُّكَ اِلَى النَّحۡلِ اَنِ اتَّخِذِىۡ مِنَ الۡجِبَالِ بُيُوۡتًا وَّمِنَ الشَّجَرِ وَمِمَّا يَعۡرِشُوۡنَ ۙ ٦٨
16:68
And your Lord inspired to the bee, "Take for yourself among the mountains, houses, and among the trees and [in] that which they construct.
ثُمَّ كُلِىۡ مِنۡ كُلِّ الثَّمَرٰتِ فَا سۡلُكِىۡ سُبُلَ رَبِّكِ ذُلُلًا ؕ يَخۡرُجُ مِنۡۢ بُطُوۡنِهَا شَرَابٌ مُّخۡتَلِفٌ اَلۡوَانُهٗ فِيۡهِ شِفَآءٌ لِّلنَّاسِ ؕ اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً لِّقَوۡمٍ يَّتَفَكَّرُوۡنَ ٦٩
16:69
Then eat from all the fruits and follow the ways of your Lord laid down [for you]." There emerges from their bellies a drink, varying in colors, in which there is healing for people. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who give thought.
وَاللّٰهُ خَلَقَكُمۡ ثُمَّ يَتَوَفّٰٮكُمۡ ۘ وَمِنۡكُمۡ مَّنۡ يُّرَدُّ اِلٰىۤ اَرۡذَلِ الۡعُمُرِ لِكَىۡ لَا يَعۡلَمَ بَعۡدَ عِلۡمٍ شَيۡـًٔا ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلِيۡمٌ قَدِيۡرٌ ٧٠
16:70
And Allah created you; then He will take your souls. And among you is he who is returned to the most decrepit [old] age so that he knows nothing after [having had] knowledge. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Competent.
وَاللّٰهُ فَضَّلَ بَعۡضَكُمۡ عَلٰى بَعۡضٍ فِىۡ الرِّزۡقِ ؕ فَمَا الَّذِيۡنَ فُضِّلُوۡا بِرَآدِّىۡ رِزۡقِهِمۡ عَلٰى مَا مَلَكَتۡ اَيۡمَانُهُمۡ فَهُمۡ فِيۡهِ سَوَآءٌ ؕ اَفَبِنِعۡمَةِ اللّٰهِ يَجۡحَدُوۡنَ ٧١
16:71
And Allah has favored some of you over others in [worldly] provision. But those who were favored would not hand over their provision to those whom their right hands possess so that they would be equal to them therein. Then is it the favor of Allah they reject?
وَاللّٰهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمۡ مِّنۡ اَنۡفُسِكُمۡ اَزۡوَاجًا وَّ جَعَلَ لَكُمۡ مِّنۡ اَزۡوَاجِكُمۡ بَنِيۡنَ وَ حَفَدَةً وَّرَزَقَكُمۡ مِّنَ الطَّيِّبٰتِ ؕ اَفَبِالۡبَاطِلِ يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ وَبِنِعۡمَتِ اللّٰهِ هُمۡ يَكۡفُرُوۡنَ ۙ ٧٢
16:72
And Allah has made for you from yourselves mates and has made for you from your mates sons and grandchildren and has provided for you from the good things. Then in falsehood do they believe and in the favor of Allah they disbelieve?
وَيَعۡبُدُوۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ مَا لَا يَمۡلِكُ لَهُمۡ رِزۡقًا مِّنَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ شَيۡـًٔا وَّلَا يَسۡتَطِيۡعُوۡنَ ٧٣
16:73
And they worship besides Allah that which does not possess for them [the power of] provision from the heavens and the earth at all, nor can they [do so].
فَلَا تَضۡرِبُوۡا لِلّٰهِ الۡاَمۡثَالَ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَعۡلَمُ وَاَنۡتُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ٧٤
16:74
So do not present examples for Allah. Indeed, Allah knows while you do not know.
ضَرَبَ اللّٰهُ مَثَلًا عَبۡدًا مَّمۡلُوۡكًا لَّا يَقۡدِرُ عَلٰى شَىۡءٍ وَّ مَنۡ رَّزَقۡنٰهُ مِنَّا رِزۡقًا حَسَنًا فَهُوَ يُنۡفِقُ مِنۡهُ سِرًّا وَّجَهۡرًا ؕ هَلۡ يَسۡتَوٗنَ ؕ اَلۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰهِ ؕ بَلۡ اَكۡثَرُهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ٧٥
16:75
Allah presents an example: a slave owner who has no power over anything and a man whom We have provided with good provision from Us, and he spends from it secretly and publicly. Are they equal in comparison? Praise be to Allah. But most of them do not know.
وَ ضَرَبَ اللّٰهُ مَثَلًا رَّجُلَيۡنِ اَحَدُهُمَاۤ اَبۡكَمُ لَا يَقۡدِرُ عَلٰى شَىۡءٍ وَّهُوَ كَلٌّ عَلٰى مَوۡلٰٮهُ ۙ اَيۡنَمَا يُوَجِّهۡهُ لَا يَاۡتِ بِخَيۡرٍ ؕ هَلۡ يَسۡتَوِىۡ هُوَ وَمَنۡ يَّاۡمُرُ بِالۡعَدۡلِ ۙ وَهُوَ عَلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسۡتَقِيۡمٍ ٧٦
16:76
And Allah presents an example of two men, one of them dumb, unable to do anything, and he is a burden upon his guardian. Wherever he directs him, he brings no good. Is he equal to the one who orders justice and he is on a straight path?
وَ لِلّٰهِ غَيۡبُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ ؕ وَمَاۤ اَمۡرُ السَّاعَةِ اِلَّا كَلَمۡحِ الۡبَصَرِ اَوۡ هُوَ اَقۡرَبُ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ قَدِيۡرٌ ٧٧
16:77
And to Allah belongs the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth. And the matter of the Hour is not but as a glance of the eye or even nearer. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.
وَاللّٰهُ اَخۡرَجَكُمۡ مِّنۡۢ بُطُوۡنِ اُمَّهٰتِكُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ شَيۡـًٔا ۙ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ السَّمۡعَ وَالۡاَبۡصَارَ وَالۡاَفۡـِٕدَةَ ۙ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُوۡنَ ٧٨
16:78
And Allah has extracted you from the wombs of your mothers while you knew nothing, and He made for you hearing and vision and hearts [i.e., intellect] that perhaps you would be grateful.
اَلَمۡ يَرَوۡا اِلَى الطَّيۡرِ مُسَخَّرٰتٍ فِىۡ جَوِّ السَّمَآءِ ؕ مَا يُمۡسِكُهُنَّ اِلَّا اللّٰهُ ؕ اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّقَوۡمٍ يُّؤۡمِنُوۡنَ ٧٩
16:79
Do they not see the birds suspended in mid-air? None holds them up except Allah. Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe.
وَاللّٰهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمۡ مِّنۡۢ بُيُوۡتِكُمۡ سَكَنًا وَّ جَعَلَ لَكُمۡ مِّنۡ جُلُوۡدِ الۡاَنۡعَامِ بُيُوۡتًا تَسۡتَخِفُّوۡنَهَا يَوۡمَ ظَعۡنِكُمۡ وَيَوۡمَ اِقَامَتِكُمۡ ۙ وَمِنۡ اَصۡوَافِهَا وَ اَوۡبَارِهَا وَ اَشۡعَارِهَاۤ اَثَاثًا وَّمَتَاعًا اِلٰى حِيۡنٍ ٨٠
16:80
And Allah has made for you from your homes a place of rest and made for you from the hides of the animals tents which you find light on the day of your travel and the day of your settling. And from their wool and their fur and their hair is household furniture and enjoyment for a time.
وَاللّٰهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمۡ مِّمَّا خَلَقَ ظِلٰلًا وَّ جَعَلَ لَكُمۡ مِّنَ الۡجِبَالِ اَكۡنَانًا وَّ جَعَلَ لَكُمۡ سَرَابِيۡلَ تَقِيۡكُمُ الۡحَرَّ وَسَرَابِيۡلَ تَقِيۡكُمۡ بَاۡسَكُمۡ ؕ كَذٰلِكَ يُتِمُّ نِعۡمَتَهٗ عَلَيۡكُمۡ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُسۡلِمُوۡنَ ٨١
16:81
And Allah has made for you, from that which He has created, shades and made for you from the mountains, shelters and made for you garments which protect you from the heat and garments which protect you from [the harm of] your fighting. Thus does He complete His favor upon you that you might submit [to Him].
فَاِنۡ تَوَلَّوۡا فَاِنَّمَا عَلَيۡكَ الۡبَلٰغُ الۡمُبِيۡنُ ٨٢
16:82
But if they turn away, [O Muhammad] - then only upon you is [the responsibility for] clear notification.
يَعۡرِفُوۡنَ نِعۡمَتَ اللّٰهِ ثُمَّ يُنۡكِرُوۡنَهَا وَاَكۡثَرُهُمُ الۡكٰفِرُوۡنَ ؕ ٨٣
16:83
They recognize the favor of Allah; then they deny it. And most of them are disbelievers.
وَيَوۡمَ نَبۡعَثُ مِنۡ كُلِّ اُمَّةٍ شَهِيۡدًا ثُمَّ لَا يُؤۡذَنُ لِلَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا وَلَا هُمۡ يُسۡتَعۡتَبُوۡنَ ٨٤
16:84
And [mention] the Day when We will resurrect from every nation a witness. Then it will not be permitted to those who disbelieved [to offer excuses], nor will they be asked to appease [Allah].
وَاِذَا رَاٰ الَّذِيۡنَ ظَلَمُوۡا الۡعَذَابَ فَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنۡهُمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ يُنۡظَرُوۡنَ ٨٥
16:85
And when those who wronged see the punishment, it will not be lightened for them, nor will they be reprieved.
وَاِذَا رَاٰ الَّذِيۡنَ اَشۡرَكُوۡا شُرَكَآءَهُمۡ قَالُوۡا رَبَّنَا هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ شُرَكَآؤُنَا الَّذِيۡنَ كُنَّا نَدۡعُوۡ مِنۡ دُوۡنِكَ ۚ فَاَلۡقَوۡا اِلَيۡهِمُ الۡقَوۡلَ اِنَّكُمۡ لَكٰذِبُوۡنَ ٨٦
16:86
And when those who associated others with Allah see their [alleged] partners, they will say, "Our Lord, these are our partners whom we used to invoke besides You." But they will throw at them the statement, "Indeed, you are liars."
وَاَلۡقَوۡا اِلَى اللّٰهِ يَوۡمَئِذٍ السَّلَمَ ؕ وَضَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡ مَّا كَانُوۡا يَفۡتَرُوۡنَ ٨٧
16:87
And they will pay submission to Allah that Day, and lost from them will be whatever they used to invent.
الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا وَ صَدُّوۡا عَنۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ زِدۡنٰهُمۡ عَذَابًا فَوۡقَ الۡعَذَابِ بِمَا كَانُوۡا يُفۡسِدُوۡنَ ٨٨
16:88
Those who disbelieved and averted [people] from the way of Allah - We will increase them in punishment over [their previous] punishment because of what they used to spread corruption.
وَيَوۡمَ نَبۡعَثُ فِىۡ كُلِّ اُمَّةٍ شَهِيۡدًا عَلَيۡهِمۡ مِّنۡ اَنۡفُسِهِمۡ وَجِئۡنَا بِكَ شَهِيۡدًا عَلٰى هٰٓؤُلَآءِ ؕ وَنَزَّلۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ الۡكِتٰبَ تِبۡيَانًا لِّكُلِّ شَىۡءٍ وَّهُدًى وَّرَحۡمَةً وَّبُشۡرٰى لِلۡمُسۡلِمِيۡنَ ٨٩
16:89
And [mention] the Day when We will resurrect among every nation a witness against them from themselves. And We will bring you, [O Muhammad], as a witness against these. And We have sent down to you the Book as clarification for all things and as guidance and mercy and good tidings for the Muslims.
اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَاۡمُرُ بِالۡعَدۡلِ وَالۡاِحۡسَانِ وَاِيۡتَآئِ ذِىۡ الۡقُرۡبٰى وَ يَنۡهٰى عَنِ الۡفَحۡشَآءِ وَ الۡمُنۡكَرِ وَالۡبَغۡىِ ۚ يَعِظُكُمۡ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَذَكَّرُوۡنَ ٩٠
16:90
Indeed, Allah orders justice and good conduct and giving to relatives and forbids immorality and bad conduct and oppression. He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded.
وَ اَوۡفُوۡا بِعَهۡدِ اللّٰهِ اِذَا عٰهَدتُّمۡ وَلَا تَنۡقُضُوۡا الۡاَيۡمَانَ بَعۡدَ تَوۡكِيۡدِهَا وَقَدۡ جَعَلۡتُمُ اللّٰهَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ كَفِيۡلًا ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَعۡلَمُ مَا تَفۡعَلُوۡنَ ٩١
16:91
And fulfill the covenant of Allah when you have covenanted, and do not break oaths after their confirmation while you have made Allah, over you, a security [i.e., witness]. Indeed, Allah knows what you do.
وَلَا تَكُوۡنُوۡا كَالَّتِىۡ نَقَضَتۡ غَزۡلَهَا مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ قُوَّةٍ اَنۡكَاثًا ؕ تَتَّخِذُوۡنَ اَيۡمَانَكُمۡ دَخَلًاۢ بَيۡنَكُمۡ اَنۡ تَكُوۡنَ اُمَّةٌ هِىَ اَرۡبٰى مِنۡ اُمَّةٍ ؕ اِنَّمَا يَبۡلُوۡكُمُ اللّٰهُ بِهٖ ؕ وَلَيُبَيِّنَنَّ لَكُمۡ يَوۡمَ الۡقِيٰمَةِ مَا كُنۡتُمۡ فِيۡهِ تَخۡتَلِفُوۡنَ ٩٢
16:92
And do not be like the woman who untwisted her spun thread after it had become strong, making your oaths a means of deceit between you because one community is more numerous than another community. Allah only tests you thereby. And He will surely make clear to you on the Day of Resurrection that which you used to differ over.
وَلَوۡ شَآءَ اللّٰهُ لَجَعَلَكُمۡ اُمَّةً وَّاحِدَةً وَّلٰكِنۡ يُّضِلُّ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ وَيَهۡدِىۡ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ ؕ وَلَتُسۡـَٔلُنَّ عَمَّا كُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ٩٣
16:93
And if Allah had willed, He could have made you one community [of faith], but He sends astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And you will surely be questioned about what you used to do.
وَلَا تَتَّخِذُوۡۤا اَيۡمَانَكُمۡ دَخَلًاۢ بَيۡنَكُمۡ فَتَزِلَّ قَدَمٌۢ بَعۡدَ ثُبُوۡتِهَا وَتَذُوۡقُوۡا السُّوۡٓءَ بِمَا صَدَدتُّمۡ عَنۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ ۚ وَلَكُمۡ عَذَابٌ عَظِيۡمٌ ٩٤
16:94
And do not take your oaths as [means of] deceit between you, lest a foot slip after it was [firmly] fixed and you would taste the evil [consequence] for having averted [others] from the way of Allah, and for you would be a great punishment.
وَلَا تَشۡتَرُوۡا بِعَهۡدِ اللّٰهِ ثَمَنًا قَلِيۡلًا ؕ اِنَّمَا عِنۡدَ اللّٰهِ هُوَ خَيۡرٌ لَّكُمۡ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ٩٥
16:95
And do not exchange the covenant of Allah for a small price. Indeed, what is with Allah is best for you, if only you could know.
مَا عِنۡدَكُمۡ يَنۡفَدُ وَمَا عِنۡدَ اللّٰهِ بَاقٍ ؕ وَلَنَجۡزِيَنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ صَبَرُوۡۤا اَجۡرَهُمۡ بِاَحۡسَنِ مَا كَانُوۡا يَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ٩٦
16:96
Whatever you have will end, but what Allah has is lasting. And We will surely give those who were patient their reward according to the best of what they used to do.
مَنۡ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا مِّنۡ ذَكَرٍ اَوۡ اُنۡثٰى وَهُوَ مُؤۡمِنٌ فَلَنُحۡيِيَنَّهٗ حَيٰوةً طَيِّبَةً ۚ وَلَنَجۡزِيَنَّهُمۡ اَجۡرَهُمۡ بِاَحۡسَنِ مَا كَانُوۡا يَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ٩٧
16:97
Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - We will surely cause him to live a good life, and We will surely give them their reward [in the Hereafter] according to the best of what they used to do.
فَاِذَا قَرَاۡتَ الۡقُرۡاٰنَ فَا سۡتَعِذۡ بِاللّٰهِ مِنَ الشَّيۡطٰنِ الرَّجِيۡمِ ٩٨
16:98
So when you recite the Qur'an, [first] seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the expelled [from His mercy].
اِنَّهٗ لَيۡسَ لَهٗ سُلۡطٰنٌ عَلَى الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَلٰى رَبِّهِمۡ يَتَوَكَّلُوۡنَ ٩٩
16:99
Indeed, there is for him no authority over those who have believed and rely upon their Lord.
اِنَّمَا سُلۡطٰنُهٗ عَلَى الَّذِيۡنَ يَتَوَلَّوۡنَهٗ وَالَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ بِهٖ مُشۡرِكُوۡنَ ١٠٠
16:100
His authority is only over those who take him as an ally and those who associate [others] with Allah.
وَاِذَا بَدَّلۡنَاۤ اٰيَةً مَّكَانَ اٰيَةٍ ۙ وَّاللّٰهُ اَعۡلَمُ بِمَا يُنَزِّلُ قَالُوۡۤا اِنَّمَاۤ اَنۡتَ مُفۡتَرٍ ؕ بَلۡ اَكۡثَرُهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ١٠١
16:101
And when We substitute a verse in place of a verse - and Allah is most knowing of what He reveals - they say, "You are but an inventor [of lies]." But most of them do not know.
قُلۡ نَزَّلَهٗ رُوۡحُ الۡقُدُسِ مِنۡ رَّبِّكَ بِالۡحَقِّ لِيُثَبِّتَ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَهُدًى وَّ بُشۡرٰى لِلۡمُسۡلِمِيۡنَ ١٠٢
16:102
Say, [O Muhammad], "The Pure Spirit (Gabriel) has brought it down from your Lord in truth to make firm those who believe and as guidance and good tidings to the Muslims."
وَلَقَدۡ نَعۡلَمُ اَنَّهُمۡ يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ اِنَّمَا يُعَلِّمُهٗ بَشَرٌ ؕ لِسَانُ الَّذِىۡ يُلۡحِدُوۡنَ اِلَيۡهِ اَعۡجَمِىٌّ وَّهٰذَا لِسَانٌ عَرَبِىٌّ مُّبِيۡنٌ ١٠٣
16:103
And We certainly know that they say, "It is only a human being who teaches him." The tongue of the one they refer to is foreign, and this is a clear Arabic tongue.
اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ لَا يَهۡدِيۡهِمُ اللّٰهُ ۙ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ اَلِيۡمٌ ١٠٤
16:104
Indeed, those who do not believe in the verses of Allah - Allah will not guide them, and for them is a painful punishment.
اِنَّمَا يَفۡتَرِىۡ الۡكَذِبَ الَّذِيۡنَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ ۚ وَ اُولٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الۡكٰذِبُوۡنَ ١٠٥
16:105
They only invent falsehood who do not believe in the verses of Allah, and it is those who are the liars.
مَنۡ كَفَرَ بِاللّٰهِ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ اِيۡمَانِهٖۤ اِلَّا مَنۡ اُكۡرِهَ وَقَلۡبُهٗ مُطۡمَئِنٌّۢ بِالۡاِيۡمَانِ وَلٰكِنۡ مَّنۡ شَرَحَ بِالۡكُفۡرِ صَدۡرًا فَعَلَيۡهِمۡ غَضَبٌ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ ۚ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ عَظِيۡمٌ ١٠٦
16:106
Whoever disbelieves in Allah after his belief, except for one who is forced [to renounce it] while his heart is secure in faith, but those who [willingly] open their breasts to disbelief - upon them is wrath from Allah, and for them is a great punishment.
ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمُ اسۡتَحَبُّوا الۡحَيٰوةَ الدُّنۡيَا عَلَى الۡاٰخِرَةِ ۙ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يَهۡدِىۡ الۡقَوۡمَ الۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ ١٠٧
16:107
That is because they preferred the worldly life over the Hereafter and that Allah does not guide the disbelieving people.
اُولٰٓئِكَ الَّذِيۡنَ طَبَعَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى قُلُوۡبِهِمۡ وَسَمۡعِهِمۡ وَاَبۡصَارِهِمۡ ۚ وَ اُولٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الۡغٰفِلُوۡنَ ١٠٨
16:108
Those are the ones over whose hearts and hearing and vision Allah has set a seal, and those are none but the heedless.
لَا جَرَمَ اَنَّهُمۡ فِىۡ الۡاٰخِرَةِ هُمُ الۡخٰسِرُوۡنَ ١٠٩
16:109
Assuredly, it is they in the Hereafter who will be the losers.
ثُمَّ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ لِلَّذِيۡنَ هَاجَرُوۡا مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَا فُتِنُوۡا ثُمَّ جٰهَدُوۡا وَصَبَرُوۡۤا اِنَّ رَبَّكَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِهَا لَغَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ ١١٠
16:110
Then, indeed, your Lord, to those who emigrated after they had been persecuted and then fought [in the cause of Allah] and were patient - indeed, your Lord, after that, is Forgiving and Merciful.
يَوۡمَ تَاۡتِىۡ كُلُّ نَفۡسٍ تُجَادِلُ عَنۡ نَّفۡسِهَا وَتُوَفّٰى كُلُّ نَفۡسٍ مَّا عَمِلَتۡ وَهُمۡ لَا يُظۡلَمُوۡنَ ١١١
16:111
[Mention] the Day when every soul will come disputing on its own behalf, and every soul will be fully compensated for what it did, and they will not be wronged.
وَضَرَبَ اللّٰهُ مَثَلًا قَرۡيَةً كَانَتۡ اٰمِنَةً مُّطۡمَئِنَّةً يَّاۡتِيۡهَا رِزۡقُهَا رَغَدًا مِّنۡ كُلِّ مَكَانٍ فَكَفَرَتۡ بِاَنۡعُمِ اللّٰهِ فَاَذَاقَهَا اللّٰهُ لِبَاسَ الۡجُوۡعِ وَالۡخَوۡفِ بِمَا كَانُوۡا يَصۡنَعُوۡنَ ١١٢
16:112
And Allah presents an example: a city which was safe and assured, its provision coming to it in abundance from every location, but it denied the favors of Allah. So Allah made it taste the garment of hunger and fear because of what they used to do.
وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَهُمۡ رَسُوۡلٌ مِّنۡهُمۡ فَكَذَّبُوۡهُ فَاَخَذَهُمُ الۡعَذَابُ وَهُمۡ ظٰلِمُوۡنَ ١١٣
16:113
And there had certainly come to them a messenger from among themselves, but they denied him; so the punishment overtook them while they were wrongdoers.
فَكُلُوۡا مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللّٰهُ حَلٰلًا طَيِّبًا ۖ وَّاشۡكُرُوۡا نِعۡمَتَ اللّٰهِ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ اِيَّاهُ تَعۡبُدُوۡنَ ۙ ١١٤
16:114
So eat from what Allah has provided for you, lawful and good, and be grateful for the favor of Allah, if it is [indeed] Him that you worship.
اِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيۡكُمُ الۡمَيۡتَةَ وَالۡدَّمَ وَلَحۡمَ الۡخِنۡزِيۡرِ وَمَاۤ اُهِلَّ لِغَيۡرِ اللّٰهِ بِهٖ ۚ فَمَنِ اضۡطُرَّ غَيۡرَ بَاغٍ وَّلَا عَادٍ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ ١١٥
16:115
He has only forbidden to you dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah. But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit] - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
وَلَا تَقُوۡلُوۡا لِمَا تَصِفُ اَلۡسِنَتُكُمُ الۡكَذِبَ هٰذَا حَلٰلٌ وَّهٰذَا حَرَامٌ لِّتَفۡتَرُوۡا عَلَى اللّٰهِ الۡكَذِبَ ؕ اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ يَفۡتَرُوۡنَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ الۡكَذِبَ لَا يُفۡلِحُوۡنَ ؕ ١١٦
16:116
And do not say about what your tongues assert of untruth, "This is lawful and this is unlawful," to invent falsehood about Allah. Indeed, those who invent falsehood about Allah will not succeed.
مَتَاعٌ قَلِيۡلٌ وَّلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ اَلِيۡمٌ ١١٧
16:117
[For them is brief] enjoyment in this world, and then for them is a painful punishment.
وَعَلَى الَّذِيۡنَ هَادُوۡا حَرَّمۡنَا مَا قَصَصۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ ؕ وَمَا ظَلَمۡنٰهُمۡ وَلٰكِنۡ كَانُوۡۤا اَنۡفُسَهُمۡ يَظۡلِمُوۡنَ ١١٨
16:118
And to those who are Jews We prohibited what We related to you before. And We did not wrong them, but they were wronging themselves.
ثُمَّ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ لِلَّذِيۡنَ عَمِلُوۡا السُّوۡٓءَ بِجَهٰلَةٍ ثُمَّ تَابُوۡا مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ ذٰلِكَ وَاَصۡلَحُوۡۤا اِنَّ رَبَّكَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِهَا لَغَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ ؕ ١١٩
16:119
Then, indeed, your Lord, regarding those who committed evil out of ignorance and then repented after that and corrected themselves - indeed, your Lord is, thereafter, Forgiving and Merciful.
اِنَّ اِبۡرٰهِيۡمَ كَانَ اُمَّةً قَانِتًا لِّلّٰهِ حَنِيۡفًا ؕ وَلَمۡ يَكُ مِنَ الۡمُشۡرِكِيۡنَ ۙ ١٢٠
16:120
Indeed, Abraham was a [single] nation, obedient to Allah, inclining toward truth, and he was not of those who associate others with Allah.
شَاكِرًا لِّاَنۡعُمِهِ ؕ اجۡتَبٰهُ وَهَدٰٮهُ اِلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسۡتَقِيۡمٍ ١٢١
16:121
[He was] grateful for His favors. Allah chose him and guided him to a straight path.
وَاٰتَيۡنٰهُ فِىۡ الدُّنۡيَا حَسَنَةً ؕ وَاِنَّهٗ فِىۡ الۡاٰخِرَةِ لَمِنَ الصّٰلِحِيۡنَ ١٢٢
16:122
And We gave him good in this world, and indeed, in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous.
ثُمَّ اَوۡحَيۡنَاۤ اِلَيۡكَ اَنِ اتَّبِعۡ مِلَّةَ اِبۡرٰهِيۡمَ حَنِيۡفًا ؕ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الۡمُشۡرِكِيۡنَ ١٢٣
16:123
Then We revealed to you, [O Muhammad], to follow the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth; and he was not of those who associate others with Allah.
اِنَّمَا جُعِلَ السَّبۡتُ عَلَى الَّذِيۡنَ اخۡتَلَفُوۡا فِيۡهِ ؕ وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَيَحۡكُمُ بَيۡنَهُمۡ يَوۡمَ الۡقِيٰمَةِ فِىۡ مَا كَانُوۡا فِيۡهِ يَخۡتَلِفُوۡنَ ١٢٤
16:124
The Sabbath was only appointed for those who differed over it. And indeed, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ.
اُدۡعُ اِلٰى سَبِيۡلِ رَبِّكَ بِالۡحِكۡمَةِ وَالۡمَوۡعِظَةِ الۡحَسَنَةِ وَجَادِلۡهُمۡ بِالَّتِىۡ هِىَ اَحۡسَنُ ؕ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ اَعۡلَمُ بِمَنۡ ضَلَّ عَنۡ سَبِيۡلِهٖ وَهُوَ اَعۡلَمُ بِالۡمُهۡتَدِيۡنَ ١٢٥
16:125
Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is [rightly] guided.
وَاِنۡ عَاقَبۡتُمۡ فَعَاقِبُوۡا بِمِثۡلِ مَا عُوۡقِبۡتُمۡ بِهٖ ؕ وَلَئِنۡ صَبَرۡتُمۡ لَهُوَ خَيۡرٌ لِّلصّٰبِرِيۡنَ ١٢٦
16:126
And if you punish [an enemy], punish with an equivalent of that with which you were afflicted. But if you are patient - it is better for those who are patient.
وَاصۡبِرۡ وَمَا صَبۡرُكَ اِلَّا بِاللّٰهِ ۚ وَلَا تَحۡزَنۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا تَكُ فِىۡ ضَيۡقٍ مِّمَّا يَمۡكُرُوۡنَ ١٢٧
16:127
And be patient, [O Muhammad], and your patience is not but through Allah. And do not grieve over them and do not be in distress by reason of what they conspire.
اِنَّ اللّٰهَ مَعَ الَّذِيۡنَ اتَّقَوۡا وَّالَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ مُّحۡسِنُوۡنَ ١٢٨
16:128
Indeed, Allah is with those who fear Him and those who are doers of good.
