Juz 18
(23:1 – 25:20)
قَدۡ اَفۡلَحَ الۡمُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ ۙ ١
23:1
Certainly will the believers prosper:
الَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ فِىۡ صَلَاتِهِمۡ خٰشِعُوۡنَ ۙ ٢
23:2
They who are during their prayer humbly submissive
وَالَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ عَنِ اللَّغۡوِ مُعۡرِضُوۡنَ ۙ ٣
23:3
And they who turn away from ill speech
وَالَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ لِلزَّكٰوةِ فٰعِلُوۡنَ ۙ ٤
23:4
And they who are active in [giving] zakah
وَالَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ لِفُرُوۡجِهِمۡ حٰفِظُوۡنَ ۙ ٥
23:5
And they who guard their private parts
اِلَّا عَلٰٓى اَزۡوٰجِهِمۡ اَوۡ مَا مَلَكَتۡ اَيۡمَانُهُمۡ فَاِنَّهُمۡ غَيۡرُ مَلُوۡمِيۡنَ ۚ ٦
23:6
Except from their wives or those whom their right hands possess, for indeed, they are not to be blamed -
فَمَنِ ابۡتَغٰى وَرَآءَ ذٰلِكَ فَاُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ الۡعَادُوۡنَ ۚ ٧
23:7
But whoever seeks beyond that, then they are the transgressors -
وَالَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ لِاَمٰنٰتِهِمۡ وَعَهۡدِهِمۡ رٰعُوۡنَ ۙ ٨
23:8
And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive
وَالَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ عَلٰى صَلَوٰتِهِمۡ يُحَافِظُوۡنَ ۙ ٩
23:9
And they who carefully maintain their prayers -
اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ الۡوٰرِثُوۡنَ ۙ ١٠
23:10
Those are the inheritors
الَّذِيۡنَ يَرِثُوۡنَ الۡفِرۡدَوۡسَؕ هُمۡ فِيۡهَا خٰلِدُوۡنَ ١١
23:11
Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally.
وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا الۡاِنۡسَانَ مِنۡ سُلٰلَةٍ مِّنۡ طِيۡنٍ ۙ ١٢
23:12
And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay.
ثُمَّ جَعَلۡنٰهُ نُطۡفَةً فِىۡ قَرَارٍ مَّكِيۡنٍ ۙ ١٣
23:13
Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging.
ثُمَّ خَلَقۡنَا النُّطۡفَةَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقۡنَا الۡعَلَقَةَ مُضۡغَةً فَخَلَقۡنَا الۡمُضۡغَةَ عِظٰمًا فَكَسَوۡنَا الۡعِظٰمَ لَحۡمًا ثُمَّ اَنۡشَاۡنٰهُ خَلۡقًا اٰخَرَؕ فَتَبٰرَكَ اللّٰهُ اَحۡسَنُ الۡخٰلِقِيۡنَؕ ١٤
23:14
Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump of flesh, and We made [from] the lump of flesh bones, and We clothed the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators.
ثُمَّ اِنَّكُمۡ بَعۡدَ ذٰلِكَ لَمَيِّتُوۡنَ ١٥
23:15
Then indeed, after that, you will surely die.
ثُمَّ اِنَّكُمۡ يَوۡمَ الۡقِيٰمَةِ تُبۡعَثُوۡنَ ١٦
23:16
Then indeed, you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected.
وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا فَوۡقَكُمۡ سَبۡعَ طَرَآٮِٕقَۖ وَمَا كُنَّا عَنِ الۡخَلۡقِ غٰفِلِيۡنَ ١٧
23:17
And We have created above you seven [celestial] paths, and never have We been unaware of [this] creation.
وَاَنۡزَلۡنَا مِنَ السَّمَآءِ مَآءًۢ بِقَدَرٍ فَاَسۡكَنّٰهُ فِى الۡاَرۡضِۖ وَاِنَّا عَلٰى ذَهَابٍۢ بِهٖ لَقٰدِرُوۡنَ ١٨
23:18
And We have sent down from the sky water in [due] measure and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are [also] Able to take it away.
فَاَنۡشَاۡنَا لَكُمۡ بِهٖ جَنّٰتٍ مِّنۡ نَّخِيۡلٍ وَّاَعۡنَابٍ ؕ لَكُمۡ فِيۡهَا فَوَاكِهُ كَثِيۡرَةٌ وَّمِنۡهَا تَاۡكُلُوۡنَ ۙ ١٩
23:19
And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat.
وَشَجَرَةً تَخۡرُجُ مِنۡ طُوۡرِ سَيۡنَآءَ تَنۡۢبُتُ بِالدُّهۡنِ وَصِبۡغٍ لِّلۡاٰكِلِيۡنَ ٢٠
23:20
And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which grows oil and [also] as a relish for the eaters.
وَاِنَّ لَكُمۡ فِى الۡاَنۡعَامِ لَعِبۡرَةً ؕ نُّسۡقِيۡكُمۡ مِّمَّا فِىۡ بُطُوۡنِهَا وَلَكُمۡ فِيۡهَا مَنَافِعُ كَثِيۡرَةٌ وَّمِنۡهَا تَاۡكُلُوۡنَ ۙ ٢١
23:21
And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are manifold benefits, and from them you eat.
وَعَلَيۡهَا وَعَلَى الۡفُلۡكِ تُحۡمَلُوۡنَ ٢٢
23:22
And upon them and upon ships you are carried.
وَلَقَدۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَا نُوۡحًا اِلٰى قَوۡمِهٖ فَقَالَ يٰقَوۡمِ اعۡبُدُوا اللّٰهَ مَا لَكُمۡ مِّنۡ اِلٰهٍ غَيۡرُهٗ ؕ اَفَلَا تَتَّقُوۡنَ ٢٣
23:23
And We had already sent Noah to his people, and he said, "O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him; then will you not fear Him?"
فَقَالَ الۡمَلَـؤُا الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا مِنۡ قَوۡمِهٖ مَا هٰذَاۤ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثۡلُكُمۡۙ يُرِيۡدُ اَنۡ يَّتَفَضَّلَ عَلَيۡكُمۡؕ وَلَوۡ شَآءَ اللّٰهُ لَاَنۡزَلَ مَلٰٓٮِٕكَةً ؕ مَّا سَمِعۡنَا بِهٰذَا فِىۡۤ اٰبَآٮِٕنَا الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ ۙ ٢٤
23:24
But the eminent ones who disbelieved among his people said, "This is not but a man like yourselves who wishes to attain superiority over you. And if Allah had willed [to send a messenger], He would have sent down angels. We have not heard of this among our forefathers.
اِنۡ هُوَ اِلَّا رَجُلٌۢ بِهِ جِنَّةٌ فَتَرَبَّصُوۡا بِهٖ حَتّٰى حِيۡنٍ ٢٥
23:25
He is not but a man possessed by madness, so wait concerning him for a time."
قَالَ رَبِّ انۡصُرۡنِىۡ بِمَا كَذَّبُوۡنِ ٢٦
23:26
[Noah] said, "My Lord, support me because they have denied me."
فَاَوۡحَيۡنَاۤ اِلَيۡهِ اَنِ اصۡنَعِ الۡفُلۡكَ بِاَعۡيُنِنَا وَوَحۡيِنَا فَاِذَا جَآءَ اَمۡرُنَا وَفَارَ التَّنُّوۡرُ ۙ فَاسۡلُكۡ فِيۡهَا مِنۡ كُلٍّ زَوۡجَيۡنِ اثۡنَيۡنِ وَاَهۡلَكَ اِلَّا مَنۡ سَبَقَ عَلَيۡهِ الۡقَوۡلُ مِنۡهُمۡ ۚ وَلَا تُخَاطِبۡنِىۡ فِىۡ الَّذِيۡنَ ظَلَمُوۡا ۚ اِنَّهُمۡ مُّغۡرَقُوۡنَ ٢٧
23:27
So We inspired to him, "Construct the ark under Our observation and Our inspiration. And when Our command comes and the oven overflows, put into the ark two of every [kind], the male and female [pair], and your family, except those for whom the word has proceeded among them. And do not address Me concerning those who have wronged; indeed, they are to be drowned.
فَاِذَا اسۡتَوَيۡتَ اَنۡتَ وَمَنۡ مَّعَكَ عَلَى الۡفُلۡكِ فَقُلِ الۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِىۡ نَجّٰٮنَا مِنَ الۡقَوۡمِ الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ ٢٨
23:28
And when you have boarded the ship, you and those with you, then say, 'Praise to Allah who has saved us from the wrongdoing people.'
وَقُل رَّبِّ اَنۡزِلۡنِىۡ مُنۡزَلًا مُّبٰرَكًا وَّاَنۡتَ خَيۡرُ الۡمُنۡزِلِيۡنَ ٢٩
23:29
And say, 'My Lord, let me land at a blessed landing place, and You are the best to grant landing.'"
اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ وَّاِنۡ كُنَّا لَمُبۡتَلِيۡنَ ٣٠
23:30
Indeed in that are signs, and indeed, We are ever testing [mankind].
ثُمَّ اَنۡشَاۡنَا مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ قَرۡنًا اٰخَرِيۡنَ ۙ ٣١
23:31
Then We produced after them another generation.
فَاَرۡسَلۡنَا فِيۡهِمۡ رَسُوۡلًا مِّنۡهُمۡ اَنِ اعۡبُدُوا اللّٰهَ مَا لَكُمۡ مِّنۡ اِلٰهٍ غَيۡرُهٗ ؕ اَفَلَا تَتَّقُوۡنَ ٣٢
23:32
And We sent to them a messenger from among themselves, [saying], "Worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him; then will you not fear Him?"
وَقَالَ الۡمَلَاُ مِنۡ قَوۡمِهِ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا وَكَذَّبُوۡا بِلِقَآءِ الۡاٰخِرَةِ وَاَتۡرَفۡنٰهُمۡ فِىۡ الۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَا ۙ مَا هٰذَاۤ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثۡلُكُمۡ ۙ يَاۡكُلُ مِمَّا تَاۡكُلُوۡنَ مِنۡهُ وَيَشۡرَبُ مِمَّا تَشۡرَبُوۡنَ ۙ ٣٣
23:33
And the eminent ones of his people who disbelieved and denied the meeting of the Hereafter while We had given them luxury in the worldly life said, "This is not but a man like yourselves. He eats from that which you eat and drinks from that which you drink.
وَلَٮِٕنۡ اَطَعۡتُمۡ بَشَرًا مِّثۡلَكُمۡ اِنَّكُمۡ اِذًا لَّخٰسِرُوۡنَ ۙ ٣٤
23:34
And if you should obey a man like yourselves, indeed, you would then be losers.
اَيَعِدُكُمۡ اَنَّكُمۡ اِذَا مِتُّمۡ وَكُنۡتُمۡ تُرَابًا وَّعِظَامًا اَنَّكُمۡ مُّخۡرَجُوۡنَ ۙ ٣٥
23:35
Does he promise you that when you have died and become dust and bones that you will be extracted [from the graves]?
هَيۡهَاتَ هَيۡهَاتَ لِمَا تُوۡعَدُوۡنَ ۙ ٣٦
23:36
Impossible! Impossible is what you are promised!
اِنۡ هِىَ اِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنۡيَا نَمُوۡتُ وَنَحۡيَا وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمَبۡعُوۡثِيۡنَ ۙ ٣٧
23:37
In no way is it but our worldly life; we die and we live, and never are we to be resurrected.
اِنۡ هُوَ اِلَّا رَجُلُ اۨفۡتَرٰى عَلَى اللّٰهِ كَذِبًا وَّمَا نَحۡنُ لَهٗ بِمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ ٣٨
23:38
He is not but a man who has invented a lie about Allah, and we will not be believers in him."
قَالَ رَبِّ انۡصُرۡنِىۡ بِمَا كَذَّبُوۡنِ ٣٩
23:39
[The messenger] said, "My Lord, support me because they have denied me."
قَالَ عَمَّا قَلِيۡلٍ لَّيُصۡبِحُنَّ نٰدِمِيۡنَ ۙ ٤٠
23:40
[Allah] said, "In a little [time] they will surely become regretful."
فَاَخَذَتۡهُمُ الصَّيۡحَةُ بِالۡحَقِّ فَجَعَلۡنٰهُمۡ غُثَآءً ؕ فَبُعۡدًا لِّلۡقَوۡمِ الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ ٤١
23:41
So the [awful] blast seized them in truth, and We made them as [the foam of] floodwater. So away with the wrongdoing people.
ثُمَّ اَنۡشَاۡنَا مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ قُرُوۡنًا اٰخَرِيۡنَ ٤٢
23:42
Then We produced after them generations of others.
مَا تَسۡبِقُ مِنۡ اُمَّةٍ اَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسۡتَاۡخِرُوۡنَ ٤٣
23:43
No nation will precede its term, nor will they remain [thereafter].
ثُمَّ اَرۡسَلۡنَا رُسُلَنَا تَتۡرَا ؕ كُلَّ مَا جَآءَ اُمَّةً رَّسُوۡلُهَا كَذَّبُوۡهُ فَاَتۡبَعۡنَا بَعۡضَهُمۡ بَعۡضًا وَّجَعَلۡنٰهُمۡ اَحَادِيۡثَ ۚ فَبُعۡدًا لِّلۡقَوۡمِ الَّذِيۡنَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ ٤٤
23:44
Then We sent Our messengers in succession. Every time a messenger came to a nation, they denied him, so We made them follow one another [to destruction] and made them as narratives. So away with a people who do not believe.
ثُمَّ اَرۡسَلۡنَا مُوۡسٰى وَاَخَاهُ هٰرُوۡنَ بِاٰيٰتِنَا وَسُلۡطٰنٍ مُّبِيۡنٍ ۙ ٤٥
23:45
Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our signs and a clear authority
اِلٰى فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَمَلَاْٮِٕهٖ فَاسۡتَكۡبَرُوۡا وَكَانُوۡا قَوۡمًا عَالِيۡنَ ۚ ٤٦
23:46
To Pharaoh and his establishment, but they were arrogant, for they were a haughty people.
فَقَالُوۡۤا اَنُؤۡمِنُ لِبَشَرَيۡنِ مِثۡلِنَا وَقَوۡمُهُمَا لَنَا عٰبِدُوۡنَ ۙ ٤٧
23:47
So they said, "Should we believe two men like ourselves while their people are for us in bondage?"
فَكَذَّبُوۡهُمَا فَكَانُوۡا مِنَ الۡمُهۡلَكِيۡنَ ٤٨
23:48
So they denied them both and became of those destroyed.
وَلَقَدۡ اٰتَيۡنَا مُوۡسَى الۡكِتٰبَ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَهۡتَدُوۡنَ ٤٩
23:49
And We certainly gave Moses the Scripture that perhaps they would be guided.
وَجَعَلۡنَا ابۡنَ مَرۡيَمَ وَاُمَّهٗۤ اٰيَةً وَّاٰوَيۡنٰهُمَاۤ اِلٰى رَبۡوَةٍ ذَاتِ قَرَارٍ وَّمَعِيۡنٍ ٥٠
23:50
And We made the son of Mary and his mother a sign and sheltered them on a high ground having a place of rest and flowing water.
يٰۤاَيُّهَا الرُّسُلُ كُلُوۡا مِنَ الطَّيِّبٰتِ وَاعۡمَلُوۡا صَالِحًا ؕ اِنِّىۡ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ عَلِيۡمٌ ٥١
23:51
[Allah said], "O messengers, eat from the good things and work righteousness. Indeed, I am Knowing of what you do.
وَاِنَّ هٰذِهٖۤ اُمَّتُكُمۡ اُمَّةً وَّاحِدَةً وَّاَنَا رَبُّكُمۡ فَاتَّقُوۡنِ ٥٢
23:52
And indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me."
فَتَقَطَّعُوۡۤا اَمۡرَهُمۡ بَيۡنَهُمۡ زُبُرًاؕ كُلُّ حِزۡبٍۢ بِمَا لَدَيۡهِمۡ فَرِحُوۡنَ ٥٣
23:53
But [the people] divided their religion among them into sects - each faction, with what it has, rejoicing.
فَذَرۡهُمۡ فِىۡ غَمۡرَتِهِمۡ حَتّٰى حِيۡنٍ ٥٤
23:54
So leave them in their [confused] depth for a time.
اَيَحۡسَبُوۡنَ اَنَّمَا نُمِدُّهُمۡ بِهٖ مِنۡ مَّالٍ وَّبَنِيۡنَ ۙ ٥٥
23:55
Do they think that what We extend to them of wealth and children
نُسَارِعُ لَهُمۡ فِى الۡخَيۡرٰتِؕ بَل لَّا يَشۡعُرُوۡنَ ٥٦
23:56
Is [because] We hasten for them good things? Rather, they perceive not.
اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ مِّنۡ خَشۡيَةِ رَبِّهِمۡ مُّشۡفِقُوۡنَ ۙ ٥٧
23:57
Indeed, those who are fearful from [the apprehension of] their Lord
وَالَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ بِاٰيٰتِ رَبِّهِمۡ يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ ۙ ٥٨
23:58
And those who believe in the signs of their Lord
وَالَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ بِرَبِّهِمۡ لَا يُشۡرِكُوۡنَ ۙ ٥٩
23:59
And those who do not associate anything with their Lord
وَالَّذِيۡنَ يُؤۡتُوۡنَ مَاۤ اٰتَوۡا وَّقُلُوۡبُهُمۡ وَجِلَةٌ اَنَّهُمۡ اِلٰى رَبِّهِمۡ رٰجِعُوۡنَ ۙ ٦٠
23:60
And those who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will be returning to their Lord -
اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ يُسٰرِعُوۡنَ فِى الۡخَيۡرٰتِ وَهُمۡ لَهَا سٰبِقُوۡنَ ٦١
23:61
It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they are the foremost in [attaining] them.
وَلَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفۡسًا اِلَّا وُسۡعَهَا وَلَدَيۡنَا كِتٰبٌ يَّنۡطِقُ بِالۡحَقِّ وَهُمۡ لَا يُظۡلَمُوۡنَ ٦٢
23:62
And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks the truth; and they will not be wronged.
بَلۡ قُلُوۡبُهُمۡ فِىۡ غَمۡرَةٍ مِّنۡ هٰذَا وَلَهُمۡ اَعۡمَالٌ مِّنۡ دُوۡنِ ذٰلِكَ هُمۡ لَهَا عٰمِلُوۡنَ ۙ ٦٣
23:63
But their hearts are in a [deep] abyss of ignorance concerning this [Qur'an], and they have [evil] deeds besides that which they are doing.
حَتّٰٓى اِذَاۤ اَخَذۡنَا مُتۡرَفِيۡهِمۡ بِالۡعَذَابِ اِذَا هُمۡ يَجۡـَٔرُوۡنَ ؕ ٦٤
23:64
Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, immediately they despair [and cry out].
لَا تَجۡـَٔرُوا الۡيَوۡمَۖ اِنَّكُمۡ مِّنَّا لَا تُنۡصَرُوۡنَ ٦٥
23:65
[They will be told], "Do not cry out today. Indeed, from Us you will not be helped.
قَدۡ كَانَتۡ اٰيٰتِىۡ تُتۡلٰى عَلَيۡكُمۡ فَكُنۡتُمۡ عَلٰٓى اَعۡقَابِكُمۡ تَنۡكِصُوۡنَ ۙ ٦٦
23:66
My verses had been recited to you, but you were turning back on your heels [in rejection]
مُسۡتَكۡبِرِيۡنَ بِهٖ سٰمِرًا تَهۡجُرُوۡنَ ٦٧
23:67
In arrogance regarding it, conversing by night [about it] in senseless talk."
اَفَلَمۡ يَدَّبَّرُوا الۡقَوۡلَ اَمۡ جَآءَهُمۡ مَّا لَمۡ يَاۡتِ اٰبَآءَهُمُ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ ۙ ٦٨
23:68
Have they not, then, pondered over the Word, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers?
اَمۡ لَمۡ يَعۡرِفُوۡا رَسُوۡلَهُمۡ فَهُمۡ لَهٗ مُنۡكِرُوۡنَ ۙ ٦٩
23:69
Or did they not recognize their Messenger, so they are to him deniers?
اَمۡ يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ بِهٖ جِنَّةٌ ؕ بَلۡ جَآءَهُمۡ بِالۡحَقِّ وَاَكۡثَرُهُمۡ لِلۡحَقِّ كٰرِهُوۡنَ ٧٠
23:70
Or do they say, "In him is madness"? Rather, he brought them the truth, but most of them, to the truth, are averse.
وَلَوِ اتَّبَعَ الۡحَقُّ اَهۡوَآءَهُمۡ لَفَسَدَتِ السَّمٰوٰتُ وَالۡاَرۡضُ وَمَنۡ فِيۡهِنَّؕ بَلۡ اَتَيۡنٰهُمۡ بِذِكۡرِهِمۡ فَهُمۡ عَنۡ ذِكۡرِهِمۡ مُّعۡرِضُوۡنَ ٧١
23:71
But if the truth had followed their inclinations, the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them would have been ruined. Rather, We have brought them their message, but they, from their message, are turning away.
اَمۡ تَسۡـَٔلُهُمۡ خَرۡجًا فَخَرَاجُ رَبِّكَ خَيۡرٌ ۚ وَّهُوَ خَيۡرُ الرّٰزِقِيۡنَ ٧٢
23:72
Or do you ask them for [worldly] compensation? But the reward of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers.
وَاِنَّكَ لَتَدۡعُوۡهُمۡ اِلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسۡتَقِيۡمٍ ٧٣
23:73
And indeed, you invite them to a straight path.
وَاِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِالۡاٰخِرَةِ عَنِ الصِّرَاطِ لَنٰكِبُوۡنَ ٧٤
23:74
But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path.
وَلَوۡ رَحِمۡنٰهُمۡ وَكَشَفۡنَا مَا بِهِمۡ مِّنۡ ضُرٍّ لَّلَجُّوۡا فِىۡ طُغۡيَانِهِمۡ يَعۡمَهُوۡنَ ٧٥
23:75
And even if We had mercy upon them and removed the affliction from them, they would [still] continue in their transgression, wandering blindly.
وَلَقَدۡ اَخَذۡنٰهُمۡ بِالۡعَذَابِ فَمَا اسۡتَكَانُوۡا لِرَبِّهِمۡ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُوۡنَ ٧٦
23:76
And We had already seized them with punishment, but they did not humble themselves to their Lord, nor did they entreat [Him].
حَتّٰۤى اِذَا فَتَحۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ بَابًا ذَا عَذَابٍ شَدِيۡدٍ اِذَا هُمۡ فِيۡهِ مُبۡلِسُوۡنَ ٧٧
23:77
Until when We have opened upon them a gate of severe punishment, immediately they are therein in despair.
وَهُوَ الَّذِىۡۤ اَنۡشَاَ لَكُمُ السَّمۡعَ وَالۡاَبۡصَارَ وَالۡاَفۡـِٕدَةَ ؕ قَلِيۡلًا مَّا تَشۡكُرُوۡنَ ٧٨
23:78
And He is the one who produced for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful.
وَهُوَ الَّذِىۡ ذَرَاَكُمۡ فِى الۡاَرۡضِ وَاِلَيۡهِ تُحۡشَرُوۡنَ ٧٩
23:79
And He is the one who created you on the earth, and to Him you will be gathered.
وَهُوَ الَّذِىۡ يُحۡىٖ وَيُمِيۡتُ وَلَهُ اخۡتِلَافُ الَّيۡلِ وَالنَّهَارِؕ اَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُوۡنَ ٨٠
23:80
And He it is who gives life and causes death, and to Him belongs the alternation of the night and the day. Then will you not reason?
بَلۡ قَالُوۡا مِثۡلَ مَا قَالَ الۡاَوَّلُوۡنَ ٨١
23:81
But [now] they say like what the former peoples said.
قَالُوۡۤا ءَاِذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَّعِظَامًا ءَاِنَّا لَمَبۡعُوۡثُوۡنَ ۙ ٨٢
23:82
They said, "When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?
لَقَدۡ وُعِدۡنَا نَحۡنُ وَاٰبَآؤُنَا هٰذَا مِنۡ قَبۡلُ اِنۡ هٰذَاۤ اِلَّاۤ اَسٰطِيۡرُ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ ٨٣
23:83
We have certainly been promised this, we and our forefathers, before. This is not but legends of the former peoples."
قُل لِّمَنِ الۡاَرۡضُ وَمَنۡ فِيۡهَاۤ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ٨٤
23:84
Say, [O Muhammad], "To whom belongs the earth and whoever is in it, if you should know?"
سَيَقُوۡلُوۡنَ لِلّٰهِؕ قُلۡ اَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُوۡنَ ٨٥
23:85
They will say, "To Allah." Say, "Then will you not remember?"
قُلۡ مَنۡ رَّبُّ السَّمٰوٰتِ السَّبۡعِ وَرَبُّ الۡعَرۡشِ الۡعَظِيۡمِ ٨٦
23:86
Say, "Who is Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Great Throne?"
سَيَقُوۡلُوۡنَ لِلّٰهِؕ قُلۡ اَفَلَا تَتَّقُوۡنَ ٨٧
23:87
They will say, "They belong to Allah." Say, "Then will you not fear Him?"
قُلۡ مَنۡۢ بِيَدِهٖ مَلَكُوۡتُ كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ وَّهُوَ يُجِيۡرُ وَلَا يُجَارُ عَلَيۡهِ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ٨٨
23:88
Say, "In whose hand is the sovereignty of all things - and He protects while none can protect against Him - if you should know?"
سَيَقُوۡلُوۡنَ لِلّٰهِؕ قُلۡ فَاَنّٰى تُسۡحَرُوۡنَ ٨٩
23:89
They will say, "It belongs to Allah." Say, "Then how are you deluded?"
بَلۡ اَتَيۡنٰهُمۡ بِالۡحَقِّ وَاِنَّهُمۡ لَكٰذِبُوۡنَ ٩٠
23:90
Rather, We have brought them the truth, and indeed, they are liars.
مَا اتَّخَذَ اللّٰهُ مِنۡ وَّلَدٍ وَّمَا كَانَ مَعَهٗ مِنۡ اِلٰهٍ اِذًا لَّذَهَبَ كُلُّ اِلٰهٍۢ بِمَا خَلَقَ وَلَعَلَا بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلٰى بَعۡضٍؕ سُبۡحٰنَ اللّٰهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُوۡنَ ۙ ٩١
23:91
Allah has not taken any son, nor has there ever been with Him any deity. [If there had been], then each deity would have taken away what it created, and some of them would have sought to overcome others. Exalted is Allah above what they describe -
عٰلِمِ الۡغَيۡبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ فَتَعٰلٰى عَمَّا يُشۡرِكُوۡنَ ٩٢
23:92
Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, so high is He above what they associate with Him.
قُل رَّبِّ اِمَّا تُرِيَنِّىۡ مَا يُوۡعَدُوۡنَ ۙ ٩٣
23:93
Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised,
رَبِّ فَلَا تَجۡعَلۡنِىۡ فِى الۡقَوۡمِ الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ ٩٤
23:94
My Lord, then do not place me among the wrongdoing people."
وَاِنَّا عَلٰٓى اَنۡ نُّرِيَكَ مَا نَعِدُهُمۡ لَقٰدِرُوۡنَ ٩٥
23:95
And indeed, We are able to show you that which We have promised them.
اِدۡفَعۡ بِالَّتِىۡ هِىَ اَحۡسَنُ السَّيِّئَةَ ؕ نَحۡنُ اَعۡلَمُ بِمَا يَصِفُوۡنَ ٩٦
23:96
Repel [evil] with what is best. We are most knowing of what they describe.
وَقُل رَّبِّ اَعُوۡذُ بِكَ مِنۡ هَمَزٰتِ الشَّيٰطِيۡنِ ۙ ٩٧
23:97
And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils,
وَاَعُوۡذُ بِكَ رَبِّ اَنۡ يَّحۡضُرُوۡنِ ٩٨
23:98
And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they be present with me."
حَتّٰٓى اِذَا جَآءَ اَحَدَهُمُ الۡمَوۡتُ قَالَ رَبِّ ارۡجِعُوۡنِ ۙ ٩٩
23:99
[For such is the state of the disbelievers] until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back
لَعَلِّىۡۤ اَعۡمَلُ صَالِحًا فِيۡمَا تَرَكۡتُ كَلَّا ؕ اِنَّهَا كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قَآئِلُهَا ؕ وَمِنۡ وَّرَآٮِٕهِمۡ بَرۡزَخٌ اِلٰى يَوۡمِ يُبۡعَثُوۡنَ ١٠٠
23:100
That I might do righteousness in that which I left behind." No! It is only a word he is saying; and behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected.
فَاِذَا نُفِخَ فِى الصُّوۡرِ فَلَاۤ اَنۡسَابَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ وَّلَا يَتَسَآءَلُوۡنَ ١٠١
23:101
Then when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another.
فَمَنۡ ثَقُلَتۡ مَوٰزِيۡنُهٗ فَاُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ الۡمُفۡلِحُوۡنَ ۙ ١٠٢
23:102
And those whose scales are heavy - it is they who will be the successful.
وَمَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوٰزِيۡنُهٗ فَاُولٰٓٮِٕكَ الَّذِيۡنَ خَسِرُوۡۤا اَنۡفُسَهُمۡ فِىۡ جَهَنَّمَ خٰلِدُوۡنَ ۚ ١٠٣
23:103
But those whose scales are light - those are the ones who will lose themselves, in Hell, abiding eternally.
تَلۡفَحُ وُجُوۡهَهُمُ النَّارُ وَهُمۡ فِيۡهَا كَالِحُوۡنَ ١٠٤
23:104
The Fire will sear their faces, and they therein will have [distorted] mouths.
اَلَمۡ تَكُنۡ اٰيٰتِىۡ تُتۡلٰى عَلَيۡكُمۡ فَكُنۡتُمۡ بِهَا تُكَذِّبُوۡنَ ١٠٥
23:105
[It will be asked], "Were not My verses recited to you and you used to deny them?"
قَالُوۡا رَبَّنَا غَلَبَتۡ عَلَيۡنَا شِقۡوَتُنَا وَكُنَّا قَوۡمًا ضَآلِّيۡنَ ١٠٦
23:106
They will say, "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray.
رَبَّنَاۤ اَخۡرِجۡنَا مِنۡهَا فَاِنۡ عُدۡنَا فَاِنَّا ظٰلِمُوۡنَ ١٠٧
23:107
Our Lord, remove us from it; if we were to return [to sin], we would indeed be wrongdoers."
قَالَ اخۡسَـُٔوۡا فِيۡهَا وَلَا تُكَلِّمُوۡنِ ١٠٨
23:108
He will say, "Remain disgraced therein and do not speak to Me.
اِنَّهٗ كَانَ فَرِيۡقٌ مِّنۡ عِبَادِىۡ يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ رَبَّنَاۤ اٰمَنَّا فَاغۡفِرۡ لَنَا وَارۡحَمۡنَا وَاَنۡتَ خَيۡرُ الرّٰحِمِيۡنَ ۙ ١٠٩
23:109
Indeed, there was a group of My servants who would say, 'Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the best of the merciful.'
فَاتَّخَذۡتُمُوۡهُمۡ سِخۡرِيًّا حَتّٰىۤ اَنۡسَوۡكُمۡ ذِكۡرِىۡ وَكُنۡتُمۡ مِّنۡهُمۡ تَضۡحَكُوۡنَ ١١٠
23:110
But you took them in mockery until they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them.
اِنِّىۡ جَزَيۡتُهُمُ الۡيَوۡمَ بِمَا صَبَرُوۡۤا اَنَّهُمۡ هُمُ الۡفَآٮِٕزُوۡنَ ١١١
23:111
Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success]."
قٰلَ كَمۡ لَبِثۡتُمۡ فِى الۡاَرۡضِ عَدَدَ سِنِيۡنَ ١١٢
23:112
[Allah] will say, "How long did you remain on earth in number of years?"
قَالُوۡا لَبِثۡنَا يَوۡمًا اَوۡ بَعۡضَ يَوۡمٍ فَسۡـَٔلِ الۡعَآدِّيۡنَ ١١٣
23:113
They will say, "We remained a day or part of a day; ask those who enumerate."
قٰلَ اِنۡ لَّبِثۡتُمۡ اِلَّا قَلِيۡلًا لَّوۡ اَنَّكُمۡ كُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ١١٤
23:114
He will say, "You remained not but a little - if only you had known.
اَفَحَسِبۡتُمۡ اَنَّمَا خَلَقۡنٰكُمۡ عَبَثًا وَّاَنَّكُمۡ اِلَيۡنَا لَا تُرۡجَعُوۡنَ ١١٥
23:115
"Did you think that We had created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?"
فَتَعٰلَى اللّٰهُ الۡمَلِكُ الۡحَقُّ ۚ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ الۡعَرۡشِ الۡكَرِيۡمِ ١١٦
23:116
So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne.
وَمَنۡ يَّدۡعُ مَعَ اللّٰهِ اِلٰهًا اٰخَرَ ۙ لَا بُرۡهَانَ لَهٗ بِهٖ ۙ فَاِنَّمَا حِسَابُهٗ عِنۡدَ رَبِّهٖ ؕ اِنَّهٗ لَا يُفۡلِحُ الۡكٰفِرُوۡنَ ١١٧
23:117
And whoever invokes besides Allah another deity for which he has no proof - then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed.
وَقُل رَّبِّ اغۡفِرۡ وَارۡحَمۡ وَاَنۡتَ خَيۡرُ الرّٰحِمِيۡنَ ١١٨
23:118
And say, "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of merciful ones."
سُوۡرَةٌ اَنۡزَلۡنٰهَا وَفَرَضۡنٰهَا وَاَنۡزَلۡنَا فِيۡهَاۤ اٰيٰتٍۢ بَيِّنٰتٍ لَّعَلَّكُمۡ تَذَكَّرُوۡنَ ١
24:1
[This is] a Surah which We have sent down and enjoined, and in it We have revealed clear signs that you might remember.
اَلزَّانِيَةُ وَالزَّانِىۡ فَاجۡلِدُوۡا كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِّنۡهُمَا مِاْئَةَ جَلۡدَةٍ وَّلَا تَاۡخُذۡكُمۡ بِهِمَا رَاۡفَةٌ فِىۡ دِيۡنِ اللّٰهِ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ تُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِاللّٰهِ وَالۡيَوۡمِ الۡاٰخِرِ ۚ وَلۡيَشۡهَدۡ عَذَابَهُمَا طَآٮِٕفَةٌ مِّنَ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ ٢
24:2
The [unmarried] woman or [unmarried] man found guilty of sexual intercourse - lash each one of them with a hundred lashes, and do not let pity for them prevent you from [carrying out] the law of Allah, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. And let a group of the believers witness their punishment.
اَلزَّانِىۡ لَا يَنۡكِحُ اِلَّا زَانِيَةً اَوۡ مُشۡرِكَةً وَّالزَّانِيَةُ لَا يَنۡكِحُهَاۤ اِلَّا زَانٍ اَوۡ مُشۡرِكٌ ۚ وَحُرِّمَ ذٰلِكَ عَلَى الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ ٣
24:3
The fornicator does not marry except a [female] fornicator or a polytheist, and none marries a [female] fornicator except a fornicator or a polytheist. And that has been forbidden to the believers.
وَالَّذِيۡنَ يَرۡمُوۡنَ الۡمُحۡصَنٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمۡ يَاۡتُوۡا بِاَرۡبَعَةِ شُهَدَآءَ فَاجۡلِدُوۡهُمۡ ثَمٰنِيۡنَ جَلۡدَةً وَّلَا تَقۡبَلُوۡا لَهُمۡ شَهَادَةً اَبَدًا ۚ وَاُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ الۡفٰسِقُوۡنَ ۙ ٤
24:4
And those who accuse chaste women and then do not produce four witnesses - lash them with eighty lashes and never accept from them testimony. And it is those who are the defiantly disobedient,
اِلَّا الَّذِيۡنَ تَابُوۡا مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ ذٰلِكَ وَاَصۡلَحُوۡا ۙ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ ٥
24:5
Except for those who repent after that and correct themselves. For indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
وَالَّذِيۡنَ يَرۡمُوۡنَ اَزۡوٰجَهُمۡ وَلَمۡ يَكُنۡ لَّهُمۡ شُهَدَآءُ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡفُسُهُمۡ فَشَهَادَةُ اَحَدِهِمۡ اَرۡبَعُ شَهٰدٰتٍۢ بِاللّٰهِۙ اِنَّهٗ لَمِنَ الصّٰدِقِيۡنَ ٦
24:6
And those who accuse their wives [of adultery] and have no witnesses except themselves - then the testimony of one of them shall be four testimonies [swearing] by Allah that he is of the truthful.
وَالۡخَامِسَةُ اَنَّ لَعۡنَتَ اللّٰهِ عَلَيۡهِ اِنۡ كَانَ مِنَ الۡكٰذِبِيۡنَ ٧
24:7
And the fifth [oath will be] that the curse of Allah be upon him if he should be among the liars.
وَيَدۡرَؤُا عَنۡهَا الۡعَذَابَ اَنۡ تَشۡهَدَ اَرۡبَعَ شَهٰدٰتٍۢ بِاللّٰهِۙ اِنَّهٗ لَمِنَ الۡكٰذِبِيۡنَ ۙ ٨
24:8
But it will prevent punishment from her if she gives four testimonies [swearing] by Allah that he is one of the liars.
وَالۡخَامِسَةَ اَنَّ غَضَبَ اللّٰهِ عَلَيۡهَاۤ اِنۡ كَانَ مِنَ الصّٰدِقِيۡنَ ٩
24:9
And the fifth [oath will be] that the wrath of Allah be upon her if he was of the truthful.
وَلَوۡلَا فَضۡلُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَرَحۡمَتُهٗ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ تَوَّابٌ حَكِيۡمٌ ١٠
24:10
And if not for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy [you would have been ruined] and because Allah is Accepting of repentance and Wise.
اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ جَآءُوۡ بِالۡاِفۡكِ عُصۡبَةٌ مِّنۡكُمۡؕ لَا تَحۡسَبُوۡهُ شَرًّا لَّـكُمۡ بَلۡ هُوَ خَيۡرٌ لَّكُمۡؕ لِكُلِّ امۡرِیْ مِنۡهُمۡ مَّا اكۡتَسَبَ مِنَ الۡاِثۡمِؕ وَالَّذِىۡ تَوَلّٰى كِبۡرَهٗ مِنۡهُمۡ لَهٗ عَذَابٌ عَظِيۡمٌ ١١
24:11
Indeed, those who brought forth the slander are a faction among you. Do not think it bad for you; rather it is good for you. For every person among them is what [punishment] he has earned from the sin, and he who took upon himself the greater portion thereof - for him is a great punishment.
لَوۡلَاۤ اِذۡ سَمِعۡتُمُوۡهُ ظَنَّ الۡمُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ وَالۡمُؤۡمِنٰتُ بِاَنۡفُسِهِمۡ خَيۡرًا وَّقَالُوۡا هٰذَاۤ اِفۡكٌ مُّبِيۡنٌ ١٢
24:12
Why, when you heard it, did not the believing men and believing women think good of one another and say, "This is an obvious [and fabricated] lie"?
لَوۡلَا جَآءُوۡ عَلَيۡهِ بِاَرۡبَعَةِ شُهَدَآءَۚ فَاِذۡ لَمۡ يَاۡتُوۡا بِالشُّهَدَآءِ فَاُولٰٓٮِٕكَ عِنۡدَ اللّٰهِ هُمُ الۡكٰذِبُوۡنَ ١٣
24:13
Why did they [who slandered] not produce for it four witnesses? And when they do not produce the witnesses, then it is they, in the sight of Allah, who are the liars.
وَلَوۡلَا فَضۡلُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَرَحۡمَتُهٗ فِىۡ الدُّنۡيَا وَالۡاٰخِرَةِ لَمَسَّكُمۡ فِىۡ مَاۤ اَفَضۡتُمۡ فِيۡهِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيۡمٌ ۚ ١٤
24:14
And if it had not been for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy in this world and the Hereafter, you would have been touched for that [slander] in which you were involved by a great punishment.
اِذۡ تَلَقَّوۡنَهٗ بِاَلۡسِنَتِكُمۡ وَتَقُوۡلُوۡنَ بِاَفۡوَاهِكُمۡ مَّا لَيۡسَ لَكُمۡ بِهٖ عِلۡمٌ وَّتَحۡسَبُوۡنَهٗ هَيِّنًا ؕ وَّهُوَ عِنۡدَ اللّٰهِ عَظِيۡمٌ ١٥
24:15
When you received it with your tongues and said with your mouths that of which you had no knowledge and thought it was insignificant while it was, in the sight of Allah, tremendous.
وَلَوۡلَاۤ اِذۡ سَمِعۡتُمُوۡهُ قُلۡتُمۡ مَّا يَكُوۡنُ لَنَاۤ اَنۡ نَّتَكَلَّمَ بِهٰذَا سُبۡحٰنَكَ هٰذَا بُهۡتَانٌ عَظِيۡمٌ ١٦
24:16
And why did you not, when you heard it, say, "It is not for us to speak of this. Exalted are You [O Allah]! This is a great slander"?
يَعِظُكُمُ اللّٰهُ اَنۡ تَعُوۡدُوۡا لِمِثۡلِهٖۤ اَبَدًا اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ مُّؤۡمِنِيۡنَ ۚ ١٧
24:17
Allah warns you against returning to the likes of this [conduct] ever again, if you should be believers.
وَيُبَيِّنُ اللّٰهُ لَكُمُ الۡاٰيٰتِ ؕ وَاللّٰهُ عَلِيۡمٌ حَكِيۡمٌ ١٨
24:18
And Allah makes clear to you the verses, and Allah is Knowing and Wise.
اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ يُحِبُّوۡنَ اَنۡ تَشِيۡعَ الۡفَاحِشَةُ فِى الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ اَلِيۡمٌۙ فِى الدُّنۡيَا وَالۡاٰخِرَةِ ؕ وَاللّٰهُ يَعۡلَمُ وَاَنۡتُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ١٩
24:19
Indeed, those who like that immorality should be spread [or publicized] among those who have believed will have a painful punishment in this world and the Hereafter. And Allah knows and you, do not know.
وَلَوۡلَا فَضۡلُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَرَحۡمَتُهٗ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ رَءُوۡفٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ ٢٠
24:20
And if not for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy [you would have been punished], and because Allah is Kind and Merciful.
يٰۤاَيُّهَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لَا تَتَّبِعُوۡا خُطُوٰتِ الشَّيۡطٰنِ ؕ وَمَنۡ يَّتَّبِعۡ خُطُوَاتِ الشَّيۡطٰنِ فَاِنَّهٗ يَاۡمُرُ بِالۡفَحۡشَآءِ وَالۡمُنۡكَرِ ؕ وَلَوۡلَا فَضۡلُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَرَحۡمَتُهٗ مَا زَكٰى مِنۡكُمۡ مِّنۡ اَحَدٍ اَبَدًا وَّلٰكِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُزَكِّىۡ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ ؕ وَاللّٰهُ سَمِيۡعٌ عَلِيۡمٌ ٢١
24:21
O you who have believed, do not follow the footsteps of Satan. And whoever follows the footsteps of Satan - indeed, he enjoins immorality and wrongdoing. And if not for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy, not one of you would have been pure ever, but Allah purifies whom He wills, and Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
وَلَا يَاۡتَلِ اُولُوۡا الۡفَضۡلِ مِنۡكُمۡ وَالسَّعَةِ اَنۡ يُّؤۡتُوۡۤا اُولِى الۡقُرۡبٰى وَالۡمَسٰكِيۡنَ وَالۡمُهٰجِرِيۡنَ فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِۖ وَلۡيَعۡفُوۡا وَلۡيَصۡفَحُوۡاؕ اَلَا تُحِبُّوۡنَ اَنۡ يَّغۡفِرَ اللّٰهُ لَكُمۡؕ وَاللّٰهُ غَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ ٢٢
24:22
And let not those among you who are blessed with grace and [financial] abundance swear not to give [aid] to their relatives and the needy and the emigrants for the cause of Allah. Let them pardon and overlook. Would you not like that Allah should forgive you? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ يَرۡمُوۡنَ الۡمُحۡصَنٰتِ الۡغٰفِلٰتِ الۡمُؤۡمِنٰتِ لُعِنُوۡا فِى الدُّنۡيَا وَالۡاٰخِرَةِ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ عَظِيۡمٌ ۙ ٢٣
24:23
Indeed, those who accuse chaste women, unaware [of the evil] and believing - are cursed in this world and the Hereafter; and for them is a great punishment
يَّوۡمَ تَشۡهَدُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ اَلۡسِنَتُهُمۡ وَاَيۡدِيۡهِمۡ وَاَرۡجُلُهُمۡ بِمَا كَانُوۡا يَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ٢٤
24:24
On the Day when their tongues, their hands and their feet will bear witness against them as to what they used to do.
يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ يُّوَفِّيۡهِمُ اللّٰهُ دِيۡنَهُمُ الۡحَقَّ وَيَعۡلَمُوۡنَ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الۡحَقُّ الۡمُبِيۡنُ ٢٥
24:25
That Day, Allah will pay them in full their deserved penalty, and they will know that it is Allah who is the clear truth.
اَلۡخَبِيۡثٰتُ لِلۡخَبِيۡثِيۡنَ وَالۡخَبِيۡثُوۡنَ لِلۡخَبِيۡثٰتِۚ وَالطَّيِّبٰتُ لِلطَّيِّبِيۡنَ وَالطَّيِّبُوۡنَ لِلطَّيِّبٰتِۚ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ مُبَرَّءُوۡنَ مِمَّا يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ ؕ لَهُمۡ مَّغۡفِرَةٌ وَّرِزۡقٌ كَرِيۡمٌ ٢٦
24:26
Corrupt women are for corrupt men, and corrupt men are for corrupt women, and good women are for good men, and good men are for good women. Those [good people] are innocent of [all] that the slanders say. For them is forgiveness and noble provision.
يٰۤاَيُّهَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لَا تَدۡخُلُوۡا بُيُوۡتًا غَيۡرَ بُيُوۡتِكُمۡ حَتّٰى تَسۡتَاۡنِسُوۡا وَتُسَلِّمُوۡا عَلٰٓى اَهۡلِهَا ؕ ذٰ لِكُمۡ خَيۡرٌ لَّكُمۡ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَذَكَّرُوۡنَ ٢٧
24:27
O you who have believed, do not enter houses other than your own houses until you ascertain welcome and greet their inhabitants. That is best for you that you may be reminded.
فَاِنۡ لَّمۡ تَجِدُوۡا فِيۡهَاۤ اَحَدًا فَلَا تَدۡخُلُوۡهَا حَتّٰى يُؤۡذَنَ لَكُمۡ ۚ وَاِنۡ قِيۡلَ لَكُمُ ارۡجِعُوۡا فَارۡجِعُوۡا ۚ هُوَ اَزۡكٰى لَكُمۡ ؕ وَاللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ عَلِيۡمٌ ٢٨
24:28
And if you find no one within, then do not enter them until permission has been given you. And if it should be said to you, "Go back," then go back; it is purer for you. And Allah is Knowing of what you do.
لَيۡسَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ جُنَاحٌ اَنۡ تَدۡخُلُوۡا بُيُوۡتًا غَيۡرَ مَسۡكُوۡنَةٍ فِيۡهَا مَتَاعٌ لَّكُمۡ ؕ وَاللّٰهُ يَعۡلَمُ مَا تُبۡدُوۡنَ وَمَا تَكۡتُمُوۡنَ ٢٩
24:29
There is no blame upon you for entering un-inhabited houses wherein is provision for you. And Allah knows what you reveal and what you conceal.
قُل لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ يَغُضُّوۡا مِنۡ اَبۡصَارِهِمۡ وَيَحۡفَظُوۡا فُرُوۡجَهُمۡ ؕ ذٰ لِكَ اَزۡكٰى لَهُمۡ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ خَبِيۡرٌۢ بِمَا يَصۡنَعُوۡنَ ٣٠
24:30
Tell the believing men to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts. That is purer for them. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what they do.
وَقُل لِّـلۡمُؤۡمِنٰتِ يَغۡضُضۡنَ مِنۡ اَبۡصَارِهِنَّ وَيَحۡفَظۡنَ فُرُوۡجَهُنَّ وَلَا يُبۡدِيۡنَ زِيۡنَتَهُنَّ اِلَّا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنۡهَا وَلۡيَضۡرِبۡنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلٰى جُيُوۡبِهِنَّ ۖ وَلَا يُبۡدِيۡنَ زِيۡنَتَهُنَّ اِلَّا لِبُعُوۡلَتِهِنَّ اَوۡ اٰبَآٮِٕهِنَّ اَوۡ اٰبَآءِ بُعُوۡلَتِهِنَّ اَوۡ اَبۡنَآٮِٕهِنَّ اَوۡ اَبۡنَآءِ بُعُوۡلَتِهِنَّ اَوۡ اِخۡوٰنِهِنَّ اَوۡ بَنِىۡۤ اِخۡوٰنِهِنَّ اَوۡ بَنِىۡۤ اَخَوٰتِهِنَّ اَوۡ نِسَآٮِٕهِنَّ اَوۡ مَا مَلَكَتۡ اَيۡمَانُهُنَّ اَوِ التّٰبِعِيۡنَ غَيۡرِ اُولِى الۡاِرۡبَةِ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ اَوِ الطِّفۡلِ الَّذِيۡنَ لَمۡ يَظۡهَرُوۡا عَلٰى عَوۡرٰتِ النِّسَآءِ ۚ وَلَا يَضۡرِبۡنَ بِاَرۡجُلِهِنَّ لِيُعۡلَمَ مَا يُخۡفِيۡنَ مِنۡ زِيۡنَتِهِنَّ ؕ وَتُوۡبُوۡۤا اِلَى اللّٰهِ جَمِيۡعًا اَيُّهَ الۡمُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُفۡلِحُوۡنَ ٣١
24:31
And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, their brothers' sons, their sisters' sons, their women, that which their right hands possess, or those male attendants having no sexual desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.
وَاَنۡكِحُوا الۡاَيٰمٰى مِنۡكُمۡ وَالصّٰلِحِيۡنَ مِنۡ عِبَادِكُمۡ وَ اِمَآٮِٕكُمۡ ؕ اِنۡ يَّكُوۡنُوۡا فُقَرَآءَ يُغۡنِهِمُ اللّٰهُ مِنۡ فَضۡلِهٖ ؕ وَاللّٰهُ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيۡمٌ ٣٢
24:32
And marry the unmarried among you and the righteous among your male slaves and female slaves. If they should be poor, Allah will enrich them from His bounty, and Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.
وَلۡيَسۡتَعۡفِفِ الَّذِيۡنَ لَا يَجِدُوۡنَ نِكَاحًا حَتّٰى يُغۡنِيَهُمُ اللّٰهُ مِنۡ فَضۡلِهٖ ؕ وَالَّذِيۡنَ يَبۡتَغُوۡنَ الۡكِتٰبَ مِمَّا مَلَكَتۡ اَيۡمَانُكُمۡ فَكَاتِبُوۡهُمۡ اِنۡ عَلِمۡتُمۡ فِيۡهِمۡ خَيۡرًا ۖ وَّاٰتُوۡهُمۡ مِّنۡ مَّالِ اللّٰهِ الَّذِىۡۤ اٰتٰٮكُمۡ ؕ وَلَا تُكۡرِهُوۡا فَتَيٰتِكُمۡ عَلَى الۡبِغَآءِ اِنۡ اَرَدۡنَ تَحَصُّنًا لِّتَبۡتَغُوۡا عَرَضَ الۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَا ؕ وَمَنۡ يُّكۡرِهۡهُّنَّ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ اِكۡرَاهِهِنَّ غَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ ٣٣
24:33
But let them who find not [the means for] marriage abstain [from sexual relations] until Allah enriches them from His bounty. And those who seek emancipation among those whom your right hands possess - contract with them if you know there is good in them - and give them from the wealth of Allah which He has given you. And do not compel your [slave] girls to prostitution if they desire chastity, seeking the temporary benefits of worldly life. And if someone should compel them, then indeed, Allah is, after their compulsion, Forgiving and Merciful.
وَلَقَدۡ اَنۡزَلۡنَاۤ اِلَيۡكُمۡ اٰيٰتٍ مُّبَيِّنٰتٍ وَّمَثَلًا مِّنَ الَّذِيۡنَ خَلَوۡا مِنۡ قَبۡلِكُمۡ وَمَوۡعِظَةً لِّلۡمُتَّقِيۡنَ ٣٤
24:34
And We have certainly sent down to you clarifying verses and an example from those who passed on before you and an admonition for those who fear Allah.
اَللّٰهُ نُوۡرُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِؕ مَثَلُ نُوۡرِهٖ كَمِشۡكٰوةٍ فِيۡهَا مِصۡبَاحٌؕ اَلۡمِصۡبَاحُ فِىۡ زُجَاجَةٍؕ اَلزُّجَاجَةُ كَاَنَّهَا كَوۡكَبٌ دُرِّىٌّ يُّوۡقَدُ مِنۡ شَجَرَةٍ مُّبٰرَكَةٍ زَيۡتُوۡنَةٍ لَّا شَرۡقِيَّةٍ وَّلَا غَرۡبِيَّةٍ ۙ يَّكَادُ زَيۡتُهَا يُضِىۡٓءُ وَلَوۡ لَمۡ تَمۡسَسۡهُ نَارٌؕ نُوۡرٌ عَلٰى نُوۡرٍؕ يَهۡدِىۡ اللّٰهُ لِنُوۡرِهٖ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُؕ وَيَضۡرِبُ اللّٰهُ الۡاَمۡثَالَ لِلنَّاسِؕ وَاللّٰهُ بِكُلِّ شَىۡءٍ عَلِيۡمٌ ۙ ٣٥
24:35
Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp, the lamp is within glass, the glass as if it were a brightly shining star - lit from [the oil of] a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light. Allah guides to His light whom He wills. And Allah presents examples for the people, and Allah is Knowing of all things.
فِىۡ بُيُوۡتٍ اَذِنَ اللّٰهُ اَنۡ تُرۡفَعَ وَيُذۡكَرَ فِيۡهَا اسۡمُهٗ يُسَبِّحُ لَهٗ فِيۡهَا بِالۡغُدُوِّ وَالۡاٰصَالِ ۙ ٣٦
24:36
[The light is found] in houses which Allah has ordered to be raised and that His name be mentioned therein; exalting Him within them in the mornings and the evenings
رِجَالٌ لَّا تُلۡهِيۡهِمۡ تِجَارَةٌ وَّلَا بَيۡعٌ عَنۡ ذِكۡرِ اللّٰهِ وَاِقَامِ الصَّلٰوةِ وَاِيۡتَآءِ الزَّكٰوةِۙ يَخَافُوۡنَ يَوۡمًا تَتَقَلَّبُ فِيۡهِ الۡقُلُوۡبُ وَالۡاَبۡصَارُ ۙ ٣٧
24:37
Are men whom neither commerce nor selling distracts from the remembrance of Allah and the establishment of prayer and the giving of zakah. They fear a Day in which the hearts and eyes will [fearfully] turn about -
لِيَجۡزِيَهُمُ اللّٰهُ اَحۡسَنَ مَا عَمِلُوۡا وَيَزِيۡدَهُمۡ مِّنۡ فَضۡلِهٖؕ وَاللّٰهُ يَرۡزُقُ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ بِغَيۡرِ حِسَابٍ ٣٨
24:38
That Allah may reward them [according to] the best of what they did and increase them from His bounty. And Allah provides for whom He wills without limit.
وَالَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡۤا اَعۡمَالُهُمۡ كَسَرَابٍۢ بِقِيۡعَةٍ يَّحۡسَبُهُ الظَّمۡاٰنُ مَآءً ؕ حَتّٰىۤ اِذَا جَآءَهٗ لَمۡ يَجِدۡهُ شَيۡـًٔـــا وَّوَجَدَ اللّٰهَ عِنۡدَهٗ فَوَفّٰٮهُ حِسَابَهٗؕ وَاللّٰهُ سَرِيۡعُ الۡحِسَابِ ۙ ٣٩
24:39
But those who disbelieved - their deeds are like a mirage in a lowland which the thirsty one thinks is water until, when he comes to it, he finds it nothing and finds Allah with him, and He will pay him in full his due; and Allah is swift in account.
اَوۡ كَظُلُمٰتٍ فِىۡ بَحۡرٍ لُّجِّىٍّ يَّغۡشٰٮهُ مَوۡجٌ مِّنۡ فَوۡقِهٖ مَوۡجٌ مِّنۡ فَوۡقِهٖ سَحَابٌؕ ظُلُمٰتٌۢ بَعۡضُهَا فَوۡقَ بَعۡضٍؕ اِذَاۤ اَخۡرَجَ يَدَهٗ لَمۡ يَكَدۡ يَرٰٮهَاؕ وَمَنۡ لَّمۡ يَجۡعَلِ اللّٰهُ لَهٗ نُوۡرًا فَمَا لَهٗ مِنۡ نُّوۡرٍ ٤٠
24:40
Or [they are] like darknesses in a deep sea which is covered by waves, upon which are waves, over which are clouds - darknesses, some of them upon others. When one puts out his hand [therein], he can hardly see it. And he for whom Allah has not made light - for him there is no light.
اَلَمۡ تَرَ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ يُسَبِّحُ لَهٗ مَنۡ فِىۡ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ وَالطَّيۡرُ صٰٓفّٰتٍؕ كُلٌّ قَدۡ عَلِمَ صَلَاتَهٗ وَتَسۡبِيۡحَهٗؕ وَاللّٰهُ عَلِيۡمٌۢ بِمَا يَفۡعَلُوۡنَ ٤١
24:41
Do you not see that Allah is exalted by whatever is in the heavens and the earth, and [by] the birds with wings spread [for flight]? Of each [of them] He has known its [manner of] prayer and exalting [Him], and Allah is Knowing of what they do.
وَلِلّٰهِ مُلۡكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِۚ وَاِلَى اللّٰهِ الۡمَصِيۡرُ ٤٢
24:42
And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and to Allah is the destination.
اَلَمۡ تَرَ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ يُزۡجِىۡ سَحَابًا ثُمَّ يُؤَلِّفُ بَيۡنَهٗ ثُمَّ يَجۡعَلُهٗ رُكَامًا فَتَرَى الۡوَدۡقَ يَخۡرُجُ مِنۡ خِلٰلِهٖۚ وَيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ مِنۡ جِبَالٍ فِيۡهَا مِنۡ بَرَدٍ فَيُصِيۡبُ بِهٖ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ وَيَصۡرِفُهٗ عَنۡ مَّنۡ يَّشَآءُؕ يَكَادُ سَنَا بَرۡقِهٖ يَذۡهَبُ بِالۡاَبۡصَارِ ٤٣
24:43
Do you not see that Allah drives the clouds, then gathers them together, then makes them into a pile, and you see the rain emerge from within it? And He sends down from the sky mountains [of clouds] within which is hail, and He strikes with it whom He wills and averts it from whom He wills. The flash of its lightning almost takes away the eyesight.
يُقَلِّبُ اللّٰهُ الَّيۡلَ وَالنَّهَارَؕ اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَعِبۡرَةً لِّاُولِى الۡاَبۡصَارِ ٤٤
24:44
Allah alternates the night and the day. Indeed in that is an observation for those who have vision.
وَاللّٰهُ خَلَقَ كُلَّ دَآبَّةٍ مِّنۡ مَّآءٍۚ فَمِنۡهُمۡ مَّنۡ يَّمۡشِىۡ عَلٰى بَطۡنِهٖۚ وَمِنۡهُمۡ مَّنۡ يَّمۡشِىۡ عَلٰى رِجۡلَيۡنِۚ وَمِنۡهُمۡ مَّنۡ يَّمۡشِىۡ عَلٰٓى اَرۡبَعٍؕ يَخۡلُقُ اللّٰهُ مَا يَشَآءُؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ قَدِيۡرٌ ٤٥
24:45
And Allah has created every [living] creature from water. And of them are those that move on their bellies, and of them are those that walk on two legs, and of them are those that walk on four. Allah creates what He wills. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.
لَقَدۡ اَنۡزَلۡنَاۤ اٰيٰتٍ مُّبَيِّنٰتٍؕ وَاللّٰهُ يَهۡدِىۡ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ اِلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسۡتَقِيۡمٍ ٤٦
24:46
We have certainly sent down verses that are clear proofs. And Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path.
وَيَقُوۡلُوۡنَ اٰمَنَّا بِاللّٰهِ وَبِالرَّسُوۡلِ وَاَطَعۡنَا ثُمَّ يَتَوَلّٰى فَرِيۡقٌ مِّنۡهُمۡ مِّنۡۢ بَعۡدِ ذٰلِكَؕ وَمَاۤ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ بِالۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ ٤٧
24:47
And they say, "We have believed in Allah and in the Messenger and we have obeyed"; then a faction of them turns away after that. And those are not [true] believers.
وَاِذَا دُعُوۡۤا اِلَى اللّٰهِ وَرَسُوۡلِهٖ لِيَحۡكُمَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ اِذَا فَرِيۡقٌ مِّنۡهُمۡ مُّعۡرِضُوۡنَ ٤٨
24:48
And when they are called to [the words of] Allah and His Messenger to judge between them, immediately a party of them turns aside [in refusal].
وَاِنۡ يَّكُنۡ لَّهُمُ الۡحَقُّ يَاۡتُوۡۤا اِلَيۡهِ مُذۡعِنِيۡنَ ٤٩
24:49
But if the right should be with them, they would come to him submissively.
اَفِىۡ قُلُوۡبِهِمۡ مَّرَضٌ اَمِ ارۡتَابُوۡۤا اَمۡ يَخَافُوۡنَ اَنۡ يَّحِيۡفَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَرَسُوۡلُهٗؕ بَلۡ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ الظّٰلِمُوۡنَ ٥٠
24:50
Is there disease in their hearts? Or have they doubted? Or do they fear that Allah and His Messenger will be unjust to them? Rather, it is those who are the wrongdoers.
اِنَّمَا كَانَ قَوۡلَ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ اِذَا دُعُوۡۤا اِلَى اللّٰهِ وَرَسُوۡلِهٖ لِيَحۡكُمَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ اَنۡ يَّقُوۡلُوۡا سَمِعۡنَا وَاَطَعۡنَا ؕ وَاُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ الۡمُفۡلِحُوۡنَ ٥١
24:51
The only statement of the [true] believers when they are called to Allah and His Messenger to judge between them is that they say, "We hear and we obey." And those are the successful.
وَمَنۡ يُّطِعِ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوۡلَهٗ وَيَخۡشَ اللّٰهَ وَيَتَّقۡهِ فَاُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ الۡفَآٮِٕزُوۡنَ ٥٢
24:52
And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger and fears Allah and is conscious of Him - it is those who will be the attainers [of success].
وَاَقۡسَمُوۡا بِاللّٰهِ جَهۡدَ اَيۡمَانِهِمۡ لَٮِٕنۡ اَمَرۡتَهُمۡ لَيَخۡرُجُنَّ ؕ قُل لَّا تُقۡسِمُوۡا ۚ طَاعَةٌ مَّعۡرُوۡفَةٌ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ خَبِيۡرٌۢ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ٥٣
24:53
And they swear by Allah their strongest oaths that if you ordered them, they would [certainly] go forth [to fight]. Say, "Do not swear. [Instead], obedience is known. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with that which you do."
قُلۡ اَطِيۡعُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيۡعُوا الرَّسُوۡلَ ۚ فَاِنۡ تَوَلَّوۡا فَاِنَّمَا عَلَيۡهِ مَا حُمِّلَ وَعَلَيۡكُمۡ مَّا حُمِّلۡتُمۡ ؕ وَاِنۡ تُطِيۡعُوۡهُ تَهۡتَدُوۡا ؕ وَمَا عَلَى الرَّسُوۡلِ اِلَّا الۡبَلٰغُ الۡمُبِيۡنُ ٥٤
24:54
Say, "Obey Allah and obey the Messenger; but if you turn away - then upon him is only that [duty] with which he has been charged, and upon you is that with which you have been charged. And if you obey him, you will be guided. And there is not upon the Messenger except [explicit] notification."
وَعَدَ اللّٰهُ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا مِنۡكُمۡ وَعَمِلُوۡا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَيَسۡتَخۡلِفَنَّهُمۡ فِى الۡاَرۡضِ كَمَا اسۡتَخۡلَفَ الَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِمۡۚ وَلَيُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمۡ دِيۡنَهُمُ الَّذِى ارۡتَضٰى لَهُمۡ وَلَيُبَدِّلَنَّهُمۡ مِّنۡۢ بَعۡدِ خَوۡفِهِمۡ اَمۡنًاؕ يَعۡبُدُوۡنَنِىۡ لَا يُشۡرِكُوۡنَ بِىۡ شَيۡـًٔاؕ وَمَنۡ كَفَرَ بَعۡدَ ذٰلِكَ فَاُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ الۡفٰسِقُوۡنَ ٥٥
24:55
Allah has promised those who have believed among you and done righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession [to authority] upon the earth just as He granted it to those before them and that He will surely establish for them their religion which He has preferred for them and that He will surely substitute for them, after their fear, security, [for] they worship Me, not associating anything with Me. But whoever disbelieves after that - then those are the defiantly disobedient.
وَاَقِيۡمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاٰتُوا الزَّكٰوةَ وَاَطِيۡعُوا الرَّسُوۡلَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُرۡحَمُوۡنَ ٥٦
24:56
And establish prayer and give zakah and obey the Messenger that you may receive mercy.
لَا تَحۡسَبَنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا مُعۡجِزِيۡنَ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ ۚ وَمَاۡوٰٮهُمُ النَّارُ ؕ وَلَبِئۡسَ الۡمَصِيۡرُ ٥٧
24:57
Think not that those who disbelieve are going to cause failure [to Allah] upon the earth. And their refuge will be the Fire - and wretched is the destination.
يٰۤاَيُّهَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لِيَسۡتَاۡذِنۡكُمُ الَّذِيۡنَ مَلَكَتۡ اَيۡمَانُكُمۡ وَالَّذِيۡنَ لَمۡ يَبۡلُغُوا الۡحُلُمَ مِنۡكُمۡ ثَلٰثَ مَرّٰتٍ ؕ مِنۡ قَبۡلِ صَلٰوةِ الۡفَجۡرِ وَحِيۡنَ تَضَعُوۡنَ ثِيَابَكُمۡ مِّنَ الظَّهِيۡرَةِ وَمِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ صَلٰوةِ الۡعِشَآءِ ؕ ثَلٰثُ عَوۡرٰتٍ لَّكُمۡ ؕ لَيۡسَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَلَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ جُنَاحٌۢ بَعۡدَ ذٰلِكَ ؕ طَوّٰافُوۡنَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ بَعۡضُكُمۡ عَلٰى بَعۡضٍ ؕ كَذٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّٰهُ لَكُمُ الۡاٰيٰتِ ؕ وَاللّٰهُ عَلِيۡمٌ حَكِيۡمٌ ۚ ٥٨
24:58
O you who have believed, let those whom your right hands possess and those among you who have not reached puberty ask permission of you three times [during the day] - before the prayer of Fajr and when you put aside your clothing from [wear in] the noon and after the prayer of 'Isha'. [These are] three times of privacy for you. There is no blame upon you nor upon them beyond those [periods], for they continually circulate among you - some of you [serving] others. Thus does Allah make clear to you the verses; and Allah is Knowing and Wise.
وَاِذَا بَلَغَ الۡاَطۡفَالُ مِنۡكُمُ الۡحُلُمَ فَلۡيَسۡتَاۡذِنُوۡا كَمَا اسۡتَاۡذَنَ الَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِمۡؕ كَذٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّٰهُ لَكُمۡ اٰيٰتِهٖؕ وَاللّٰهُ عَلِيۡمٌ حَكِيۡمٌ ٥٩
24:59
And when the children among you reach puberty, let them ask permission [at all times] as those before them have asked permission. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses; and Allah is Knowing and Wise.
وَالۡقَوٰعِدُ مِنَ النِّسَآءِ الّٰتِىۡ لَا يَرۡجُوۡنَ نِكَاحًا فَلَيۡسَ عَلَيۡهِنَّ جُنَاحٌ اَنۡ يَّضَعۡنَ ثِيَابَهُنَّ غَيۡرَ مُتَبَرِّجٰتٍۭ بِزِيۡنَةٍؕ وَاَنۡ يَّسۡتَعۡفِفۡنَ خَيۡرٌ لَّهُنَّؕ وَاللّٰهُ سَمِيۡعٌ عَلِيۡمٌ ٦٠
24:60
And women of post-menstrual age who have no desire for marriage - there is no blame upon them if they put aside their outer garments [but] not displaying adornment. But to modestly refrain [from that] is better for them. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
لَيۡسَ عَلَى الۡاَعۡمٰى حَرَجٌ وَّلَا عَلَى الۡاَعۡرَجِ حَرَجٌ وَّلَا عَلَى الۡمَرِيۡضِ حَرَجٌ وَّلَا عَلٰٓى اَنۡفُسِكُمۡ اَنۡ تَاۡكُلُوۡا مِنۡۢ بُيُوۡتِكُمۡ اَوۡ بُيُوۡتِ اٰبَآٮِٕكُمۡ اَوۡ بُيُوۡتِ اُمَّهٰتِكُمۡ اَوۡ بُيُوۡتِ اِخۡوٰنِكُمۡ اَوۡ بُيُوۡتِ اَخَوٰتِكُمۡ اَوۡ بُيُوۡتِ اَعۡمَامِكُمۡ اَوۡ بُيُوۡتِ عَمّٰتِكُمۡ اَوۡ بُيُوۡتِ اَخۡوَالِكُمۡ اَوۡ بُيُوۡتِ خٰلٰتِكُمۡ اَوۡ مَا مَلَكۡتُمۡ مَّفَاتِحَهٗۤ اَوۡ صَدِيۡقِكُمۡؕ لَيۡسَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ جُنَاحٌ اَنۡ تَاۡكُلُوۡا جَمِيۡعًا اَوۡ اَشۡتَاتًاؕ فَاِذَا دَخَلۡتُمۡ بُيُوۡتًا فَسَلِّمُوۡا عَلٰٓى اَنۡفُسِكُمۡ تَحِيَّةً مِّنۡ عِنۡدِ اللّٰهِ مُبٰرَكَةً طَيِّبَةًؕ كَذٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّٰهُ لَكُمُ الۡاٰيٰتِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَعۡقِلُوۡنَ ٦١
24:61
There is not upon the blind any constraint nor upon the lame any constraint nor upon the ill any constraint nor upon yourselves when you eat from your [own] houses or the houses of your fathers or the houses of your mothers or the houses of your brothers or the houses of your sisters or the houses of your paternal uncles or the houses of your paternal aunts or the houses of your maternal uncles or the houses of your maternal aunts or [from houses] of which you have been given keys or [from the house] of your friend. There is no blame upon you whether you eat together or separately. But when you enter houses, greet one another with a greeting from Allah, blessed and good. Thus does Allah make clear to you the verses [of law] that you may understand.
اِنَّمَا الۡمُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا بِاللّٰهِ وَرَسُوۡلِهٖ وَاِذَا كَانُوۡا مَعَهٗ عَلٰٓى اَمۡرٍ جَامِعٍ لَّمۡ يَذۡهَبُوۡا حَتّٰى يَسۡتَاۡذِنُوۡهُؕ اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ يَسۡتَاۡذِنُوۡنَكَ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ الَّذِيۡنَ يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِاللّٰهِ وَرَسُوۡلِهٖۚ فَاِذَا اسۡتَاۡذَنُوۡكَ لِبَعۡضِ شَاۡنِهِمۡ فَاذَنۡ لِّمَنۡ شِئۡتَ مِنۡهُمۡ وَاسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَهُمُ اللّٰهَؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ ٦٢
24:62
The believers are only those who have believed in Allah and His Messenger and when they are [meeting] with him for a collective matter, they do not depart until they have asked his permission. Indeed, those who ask your permission, [O Muhammad] - those are the ones who believe in Allah and His Messenger. So if they ask your permission for some matter of theirs, give permission to whomever you will among them and ask forgiveness for them from Allah. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
لَا تَجۡعَلُوۡا دُعَآءَ الرَّسُوۡلِ بَيۡنَكُمۡ كَدُعَآءِ بَعۡضِكُمۡ بَعۡضًاؕ قَدۡ يَعۡلَمُ اللّٰهُ الَّذِيۡنَ يَتَسَلَّلُوۡنَ مِنۡكُمۡ لِوَاذًا ؕ فَلۡيَحۡذَرِ الَّذِيۡنَ يُخَالِفُوۡنَ عَنۡ اَمۡرِهٖۤ اَنۡ تُصِيۡبَهُمۡ فِتۡنَةٌ اَوۡ يُصِيۡبَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ اَلِيۡمٌ ٦٣
24:63
Do not make [your] calling of the Messenger among yourselves as your calling of one another. Already Allah knows those of you who slip away secretly. So let those who oppose the Messenger's order beware, lest trial befall them or there befall them a painful punishment.
اَلَاۤ اِنَّ لِلّٰهِ مَا فِىۡ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ ؕ قَدۡ يَعۡلَمُ مَاۤ اَنۡتُمۡ عَلَيۡهِؕ وَيَوۡمَ يُرۡجَعُوۡنَ اِلَيۡهِ فَيُنَبِّئُهُمۡ بِمَا عَمِلُوۡاؕ وَاللّٰهُ بِكُلِّ شَىۡءٍ عَلِيۡمٌ ٦٤
24:64
Unquestionably, to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. Already He knows that upon which you [stand] and [knows] the Day when they will be returned to Him and He will inform them of what they did. And Allah is Knowing of all things.
تَبٰرَكَ الَّذِىۡ نَزَّلَ الۡفُرۡقَانَ عَلٰى عَبۡدِهٖ لِيَكُوۡنَ لِلۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ نَذِيۡرَا ۙ ١
25:1
Blessed is He who sent down the Criterion upon His Servant that he may be to the worlds a warner -
الَّذِىۡ لَهٗ مُلۡكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ وَلَمۡ يَتَّخِذۡ وَلَدًا وَّلَمۡ يَكُنۡ لَّهٗ شَرِيۡكٌ فِىۡ الۡمُلۡكِ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَىۡءٍ فَقَدَّرَهٗ تَقۡدِيۡرًا ٢
25:2
He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and who has not taken a son and has not had a partner in [His] dominion and created each thing and determined it with [precise] determination.
وَاتَّخَذُوۡا مِنۡ دُوۡنِهٖۤ اٰلِهَةً لَّا يَخۡلُقُوۡنَ شَيۡـًٔا وَّهُمۡ يُخۡلَقُوۡنَ وَلَا يَمۡلِكُوۡنَ لِاَنۡفُسِهِمۡ ضَرًّا وَّلَا نَفۡعًا وَّلَا يَمۡلِكُوۡنَ مَوۡتًا وَّلَا حَيٰوةً وَّلَا نُشُوۡرًا ٣
25:3
But they have taken besides Him [false] deities who create nothing, while they themselves are created, and possess for themselves no power to harm or benefit, and possess no power [to cause] death or life or resurrection.
وَقَالَ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡۤا اِنۡ هٰذَاۤ اِلَّاۤ اِفۡكُ اۨفۡتَرٰٮهُ وَاَعَانَهٗ عَلَيۡهِ قَوۡمٌ اٰخَرُوۡنَۚ فَقَدۡ جَآءُوۡ ظُلۡمًا وَّزُوۡرًا ۙ ٤
25:4
And those who disbelieve say, "This [Qur'an] is not except a falsehood he invented, and another people assisted him with it." But they have committed an injustice and a lie.
وَقَالُوۡۤا اَسَاطِيۡرُ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ اكۡتَتَبَهَا فَهِىَ تُمۡلٰى عَلَيۡهِ بُكۡرَةً وَّاَصِيۡلًا ٥
25:5
And they say, "Legends of the former peoples which he has transcribed, and they are dictated to him morning and afternoon."
قُلۡ اَنۡزَلَهُ الَّذِىۡ يَعۡلَمُ السِّرَّ فِىۡ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ ؕ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ غَفُوۡرًا رَّحِيۡمًا ٦
25:6
Say, [O Muhammad], "It was sent down by He who knows the secret [thought] in the heavens and the earth. Indeed, He is ever Forgiving and Merciful."
وَقَالُوۡا مَا لِـهٰذَا الرَّسُوۡلِ يَاۡكُلُ الطَّعَامَ وَيَمۡشِىۡ فِىۡ الۡاَسۡوَاقِ ؕ لَوۡلَاۤ اُنۡزِلَ اِلَيۡهِ مَلَكٌ فَيَكُوۡنَ مَعَهٗ نَذِيۡرًا ۙ ٧
25:7
And they say, "What is this messenger that eats food and walks in the markets? Why was there not sent down to him an angel so he would be with him a warner?
اَوۡ يُلۡقٰىۤ اِلَيۡهِ كَنۡزٌ اَوۡ تَكُوۡنُ لَهٗ جَنَّةٌ يَّاۡكُلُ مِنۡهَا ؕ وَقَالَ الظّٰلِمُوۡنَ اِنۡ تَتَّبِعُوۡنَ اِلَّا رَجُلًا مَّسۡحُوۡرًا ٨
25:8
Or [why was not] a treasure bestowed upon him or did he not have a garden from which he would eat?" And the wrongdoers say, "You follow not but a man afflicted by magic."
اُنۡظُرۡ كَيۡفَ ضَرَبُوۡا لَكَ الۡاَمۡثَالَ فَضَلُّوۡا فَلَا يَسۡتَطِيۡعُوۡنَ سَبِيۡلًا ٩
25:9
Look how they strike for you comparisons; so they have strayed and cannot find a way.
تَبٰرَكَ الَّذِىۡۤ اِنۡ شَآءَ جَعَلَ لَكَ خَيۡرًا مِّنۡ ذٰلِكَ جَنّٰتٍ تَجۡرِىۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِهَا الۡاَنۡهٰرُۙ وَيَجۡعَل لَّكَ قُصُوۡرًا ١٠
25:10
Blessed is He who, if He willed, could have made for you [something] better than that - gardens beneath which rivers flow - and could make for you palaces.
بَلۡ كَذَّبُوۡا بِالسَّاعَةِ ۚ وَاَعۡتَدۡنَا لِمَنۡ كَذَّبَ بِالسَّاعَةِ سَعِيۡرًا ۙ ١١
25:11
But they have denied the Hour, and We have prepared for those who deny the Hour a Blaze.
اِذَا رَاَتۡهُمۡ مِّنۡ مَّكَانٍۢ بَعِيۡدٍ سَمِعُوۡا لَهَا تَغَيُّظًا وَّزَفِيۡرًا ۙ ١٢
25:12
When it sees them from a distant place, they will hear its enraged inhalation and sighing.
وَاِذَاۤ اُلۡقُوۡا مِنۡهَا مَكَانًا ضَيِّقًا مُّقَرَّنِيۡنَ دَعَوۡا هُنَالِكَ ثُبُوۡرًا ؕ ١٣
25:13
And when they are thrown into a narrow place therein bound in chains, they will cry out thereupon for destruction.
لَا تَدۡعُوا الۡيَوۡمَ ثُبُوۡرًا وَّاحِدًا وَّادۡعُوۡا ثُبُوۡرًا كَثِيۡرًا ١٤
25:14
[They will be told], "Do not cry out today for one destruction but cry out for many destructions."
قُلۡ اَذٰلِكَ خَيۡرٌ اَمۡ جَنَّةُ الۡخُلۡدِ الَّتِىۡ وُعِدَ الۡمُتَّقُوۡنَؕ كَانَتۡ لَهُمۡ جَزَآءً وَّمَصِيۡرًا ۙ ١٥
25:15
Say, "Is that better or the Garden of Eternity which the righteous have been promised as a reward and destination?
لَهُمۡ فِيۡهَا مَا يَشَآءُوۡنَ خٰلِدِيۡنَ ؕ كَانَ عَلٰى رَبِّكَ وَعۡدًا مَّسۡئُوۡلًا ١٦
25:16
For them therein is whatever they desire, [abiding] eternally. It is ever upon your Lord a promise to be fulfilled.
وَيَوۡمَ يَحۡشُرُهُمۡ وَمَا يَعۡبُدُوۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ فَيَقُوۡلُ ءَاَنۡتُمۡ اَضۡلَلۡتُمۡ عِبَادِىۡ هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ اَمۡ هُمۡ ضَلُّوا السَّبِيۡلَ ؕ ١٧
25:17
And [mention] the Day He will gather them and that which they worship besides Allah and will say, "Did you mislead these My servants or did they [themselves] stray from the way?"
قَالُوۡا سُبۡحٰنَكَ مَا كَانَ يَنۡۢبَغِىۡ لَنَاۤ اَنۡ نَّتَّخِذَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِكَ مِنۡ اَوۡلِيَآءَ وَلٰكِنۡ مَّتَّعۡتَهُمۡ وَاٰبَآءَهُمۡ حَتّٰى نَسُوۡا الذِّكۡرَۚ وَكَانُوۡا قَوۡمًا بُوۡرًا ١٨
25:18
They will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for us to take besides You any allies. But You gave [worldly] enjoyment to them and their fathers until they forgot the message [of warning] and became a people ruined."
فَقَدۡ كَذَّبُوۡكُمۡ بِمَا تَقُوۡلُوۡنَۙ فَمَا تَسۡتَطِيۡعُوۡنَ صَرۡفًا وَّلَا نَصۡرًاۚ وَمَنۡ يَّظۡلِمۡ مِّنۡكُمۡ نُذِقۡهُ عَذَابًا كَبِيۡرًا ١٩
25:19
So they will have denied you, [O disbelievers], in what you say, and you cannot avert [punishment] or [find] help. And whoever among you commits injustice - We will make him taste a great punishment.
وَمَاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَا قَبۡلَكَ مِنَ الۡمُرۡسَلِيۡنَ اِلَّاۤ اِنَّهُمۡ لَيَاۡكُلُوۡنَ الطَّعَامَ وَيَمۡشُوۡنَ فِىۡ الۡاَسۡوَاقِؕ وَجَعَلۡنَا بَعۡضَكُمۡ لِبَعۡضٍ فِتۡنَةً ؕ اَتَصۡبِرُوۡنَ ۚ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ بَصِيۡرًا ٢٠
25:20
And [Musa] sent not before you as messengers any but that they ate food and walked in the markets. And We have made some of you [people] as trial for others - will you have patience? And ever is your Lord, Seeing.
