Juz 13
(12:53 – 14:52)
وَمَاۤ اُبَرِّئُ نَفۡسِىۡ ۚ اِنَّ النَّفۡسَ لَاَمَّارَةٌۢ بِالسُّوۡٓءِ اِلَّا مَا رَحِمَ رَبِّىۡ ؕ اِنَّ رَبِّىۡ غَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ ٥٣
12:53
And I do not acquit myself. Indeed, the soul is a persistent announcer of evil, except those upon which my Lord has mercy. Indeed, my Lord is Forgiving and Merciful."
وَقَالَ الۡمَلِكُ ائۡتُوۡنِىۡ بِهٖۤ اَسۡتَخۡلِصۡهُ لِنَفۡسِىۡ ۚ فَلَمَّا كَلَّمَهٗ قَالَ اِنَّكَ الۡيَوۡمَ لَدَيۡنَا مَكِيۡنٌ اَمِيۡنٌ ٥٤
12:54
And the king said, "Bring him to me; I will appoint him exclusively for myself." And when he had spoken to him, he said, "Indeed, you are today in our presence established [in position] and trusted."
قَالَ اجۡعَلۡنِىۡ عَلٰى خَزَآئِنِ الۡاَرۡضِ ۚ اِنِّىۡ حَفِيۡظٌ عَلِيۡمٌ ٥٥
12:55
[Joseph] said, "Appoint me over the storehouses of the land. Indeed, I am a knowledgeable guardian."
وَكَذٰلِكَ مَكَّنَّا لِيُوۡسُفَ فِى الۡاَرۡضِ ۚ يَتَبَوَّاُ مِنۡهَا حَيۡثُ يَشَآءُ ؕ نُصِيۡبُ بِرَحۡمَتِنَا مَنۡ نَّشَآءُ ۚ وَلَا نُضِيۡعُ اَجۡرَ الۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَ ٥٦
12:56
And thus, We established Joseph in the land to settle wherever he willed. We touch with Our mercy whom We will, and We do not allow the reward of the doers of good to be lost.
وَلَاَجۡرُ الۡاٰخِرَةِ خَيۡرٌ لِّلَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَكَانُوۡا يَتَّقُوۡنَ ٥٧
12:57
And the reward of the Hereafter is better for those who believed and were fearing [Allah].
وَجَآءَ اِخۡوَةُ يُوۡسُفَ فَدَخَلُوۡا عَلَيۡهِ فَعَرَفَهُمۡ وَهُمۡ لَهٗ مُنۡكِرُوۡنَ ٥٨
12:58
And the brothers of Joseph came [to Egypt] and entered upon him, and he recognized them, but to them he was unknown.
وَلَمَّا جَهَّزَهُمۡ بِجَهَازِهِمۡ قَالَ ائۡتُوۡنِىۡ بِاَخٍ لَّكُمۡ مِّنۡ اَبِيۡكُمۡ ۚ اَلَا تَرَوۡنَ اَنِّىۡۤ اُوۡفِى الۡكَيۡلَ وَاَنَا خَيۡرُ الۡمُنۡزِلِيۡنَ ٥٩
12:59
And when he had furnished them with their provisions, he said, "Bring me a brother of yours from your father. Do you not see that I give full measure and that I am the best of hosts?
فَاِنۡ لَّمۡ تَاۡتُوۡنِىۡ بِهٖ فَلَا كَيۡلَ لَكُمۡ عِنۡدِىۡ وَلَا تَقۡرَبُوۡنِ ٦٠
12:60
But if you do not bring him to me, no measure will there be for you from me, nor will you approach me."
قَالُوۡا سَنُرَاوِدُ عَنۡهُ اَبَاهُ وَاِنَّا لَفٰعِلُوۡنَ ٦١
12:61
They said, "We will attempt to persuade his father to let him come, and indeed, we will do [it]."
وَقَالَ لِفِتۡيٰنِهِ اجۡعَلُوۡا بِضَاعَتَهُمۡ فِىۡ رِحَالِهِمۡ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَعۡرِفُوۡنَهَاۤ اِذَا انۡقَلَبُوۡۤا اِلٰٓى اَهۡلِهِمۡ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَرۡجِعُوۡنَ ٦٢
12:62
And [Joseph] said to his servants, "Put their merchandise into their saddlebags so they might recognize it when they have gone back to their people, that perhaps they will return."
فَلَمَّا رَجَعُوۡۤا اِلٰٓى اَبِيۡهِمۡ قَالُوۡا يٰۤاَبَانَا مُنِعَ مِنَّا الۡكَيۡلُ فَاَرۡسِلۡ مَعَنَاۤ اَخَانَا نَكۡتَلۡ وَاِنَّا لَهٗ لَحٰفِظُوۡنَ ٦٣
12:63
So when they returned to their father, they said, "O our father, [further] measure has been denied to us, so send with us our brother [Benjamin] that we may obtain measure, and indeed, we will be his guardians."
قَالَ هَلۡ اٰمَنُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ اِلَّا كَمَاۤ اَمِنۡتُكُمۡ عَلٰىۤ اَخِيۡهِ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ ؕ فَاللّٰهُ خَيۡرٌ حٰفِظًا ؕ وَّهُوَ اَرۡحَمُ الرّٰحِمِيۡنَ ٦٤
12:64
He said, "Should I entrust you with him except [on an assurance] like the one I gave you concerning his brother before? But Allah is the best guardian, and He is the most merciful of the merciful."
وَلَمَّا فَتَحُوۡا مَتَاعَهُمۡ وَجَدُوۡا بِضَاعَتَهُمۡ رُدَّتۡ اِلَيۡهِمۡ ؕ قَالُوۡا يٰۤاَبَانَا مَا نَبۡغِىۡ ؕ هٰذِهٖ بِضَاعَتُنَا رُدَّتۡ اِلَيۡنَا ؕ وَنَمِيۡرُ اَهۡلَنَا وَنَحۡفَظُ اَخَانَا وَنَزۡدَادُ كَيۡلَ بَعِيۡرٍ ؕ ذٰ لِكَ كَيۡلٌ يَّسِيۡرٌ ٦٥
12:65
And when they opened their baggage, they found their merchandise returned to them. They said, "O our father, what more could we desire? This is our merchandise returned to us. And we will provide for our family and guard our brother and obtain an increase of a camel's load [of grain]. That is an easy measure."
قَالَ لَنۡ اُرۡسِلَهٗ مَعَكُمۡ حَتّٰى تُؤۡتُوۡنِ مَوۡثِقًا مِّنَ اللّٰهِ لَتَاۡتُنَّنِىۡ بِهٖۤ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ يُّحَاطَ بِكُمۡ ؕ فَلَمَّاۤ اٰتَوۡهُ مَوۡثِقَهُمۡ قَالَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مَا نَقُوۡلُ وَكِيۡلٌ ٦٦
12:66
He said, "Never will I send him with you until you give me a solemn promise, before Allah, that you will bring him back to me unless you should be overcome [by death or inability]." And when they had given their solemn promise, he said, "Allah is, over what we say, Trustee."
وَقَالَ يٰبُنَىَّ لَا تَدۡخُلُوۡا مِنۡۢ بَابٍ وَّاحِدٍ وَّادۡخُلُوۡا مِنۡ اَبۡوَابٍ مُّتَفَرِّقَةٍ ؕ وَمَاۤ اُغۡنِىۡ عَنۡكُمۡ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ مِنۡ شَىۡءٍ ؕ اِنِ الۡحُكۡمُ اِلَّا لِلّٰهِ ؕ عَلَيۡهِ تَوَكَّلۡتُ ۚ وَعَلَيۡهِ فَلۡيَتَوَكَّلِ الۡمُتَوَكِّلُوۡنَ ٦٧
12:67
And he said, "O my sons, do not enter from one gate but enter from different gates. But I cannot avail you against [the decree of] Allah at all. The [final] decision is only for Allah. Upon Him I have relied, and upon Him let those who would rely [indeed] rely."
وَلَمَّا دَخَلُوۡا مِنۡ حَيۡثُ اَمَرَهُمۡ اَبُوۡهُمۡ ۙ مَّا كَانَ يُغۡنِىۡ عَنۡهُمۡ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ مِنۡ شَىۡءٍ اِلَّا حَاجَةً فِىۡ نَفۡسِ يَعۡقُوۡبَ قَضٰٮهَا ؕ وَاِنَّهٗ لَذُوۡ عِلۡمٍ لِّمَا عَلَّمۡنٰهُ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكۡثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ٦٨
12:68
And when they entered from where their father had ordered them, it did not avail them at all against [the decree of] Allah but only [satisfied] a necessity in the soul of Jacob, which he discharged. And indeed, he was a possessor of knowledge because of what We had taught him, but most of the people do not know.
وَلَمَّا دَخَلُوۡا عَلٰى يُوۡسُفَ اٰوٰۤى اِلَيۡهِ اَخَاهُ ۫ قَالَ اِنِّىۡۤ اَنَا اَخُوۡكَ فَلَا تَبۡتَئِسۡ بِمَا كَانُوۡا يَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ٦٩
12:69
And when they entered upon Joseph, he took his brother [Benjamin] aside to himself; he said, "Indeed, I am your brother, so do not despair over what they used to do [to me]."
فَلَمَّا جَهَّزَهُمۡ بِجَهَازِهِمۡ جَعَلَ السِّقَايَةَ فِىۡ رَحۡلِ اَخِيۡهِ ثُمَّ اَذَّنَ مُؤَذِّنٌ اَيَّتُهَا الۡعِيۡرُ اِنَّكُمۡ لَسٰرِقُوۡنَ ٧٠
12:70
So when he had furnished them with their supplies, he put the [king's] drinking cup into the saddlebag of his brother. Then an announcer called out, "O caravan, indeed you are thieves."
قَالُوۡا وَاَقۡبَلُوۡا عَلَيۡهِمۡ مَّاذَا تَفۡقِدُوۡنَ ؕ ٧١
12:71
They said while approaching them, "What is it you are missing?"
قَالُوۡا نَفۡقِدُ صُوَاعَ الۡمَلِكِ وَلِمَنۡ جَآءَ بِهٖ حِمۡلُ بَعِيۡرٍ وَّاَنَا بِهٖ زَعِيۡمٌ ٧٢
12:72
They said, "We are missing the measure of the king, and for he who brings it is [the reward of] a camel's load, and I am responsible for it."
قَالُوۡا تَاللّٰهِ لَقَدۡ عَلِمۡتُمۡ مَّا جِئۡنَا لِنُفۡسِدَ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ وَمَا كُنَّا سٰرِقِيۡنَ ٧٣
12:73
They said, "By Allah, you certainly know that we did not come to commit corruption in the land, and we have not been thieves."
قَالُوۡا فَمَا جَزٰٓؤُهُ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ كٰذِبِيۡنَ ٧٤
12:74
[The searchers] said, "Then what would be its recompense if you should be liars?"
قَالُوۡا جَزٰٓؤُهُ مَنۡ وُّجِدَ فِىۡ رَحۡلِهٖ فَهُوَ جَزٰٓؤُهُ ؕ كَذٰلِكَ نَجۡزِى الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ ٧٥
12:75
They said, "Its recompense is that he in whose bag it is found - he himself will be its recompense. Thus do we recompense the wrongdoers."
فَبَدَاَ بِاَوۡعِيَتِهِمۡ قَبۡلَ وِعَآءِ اَخِيۡهِ ثُمَّ اسۡتَخۡرَجَهَا مِنۡ وِّعَآءِ اَخِيۡهِ ؕ كَذٰلِكَ كِدۡنَا لِيُوۡسُفَ ؕ مَا كَانَ لِيَاۡخُذَ اَخَاهُ فِىۡ دِيۡنِ الۡمَلِكِ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ يَّشَآءَ اللّٰهُ ؕ نَرۡفَعُ دَرَجٰتٍ مَّنۡ نَّشَآءُ ؕ وَفَوۡقَ كُلِّ ذِىۡ عِلۡمٍ عَلِيۡمٌ ٧٦
12:76
So [Joseph] began [the search] with their bags before the bag of his brother; then he extracted it from the bag of his brother. Thus did We plan for Joseph. He could not have taken his brother by the law of the king except that Allah willed. We raise in degrees whom We will, but over every possessor of knowledge is one [more] knowing.
قَالُـوۡۤا اِنۡ يَّسۡرِقۡ فَقَدۡ سَرَقَ اَخٌ لَّهٗ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ ۚ فَاَسَرَّهَا يُوۡسُفُ فِىۡ نَفۡسِهٖ وَلَمۡ يُبۡدِهَا لَهُمۡ ۚ قَالَ اَنۡتُمۡ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا ۚ وَاللّٰهُ اَعۡلَمُ بِمَا تَصِفُوۡنَ ٧٧
12:77
They said, "If he steals - a brother of his has stolen before." But Joseph kept it private within himself and did not reveal it to them. He said, "[In reality], you are worse in position, and Allah is most knowing of what you describe."
قَالُوۡا يٰۤاَيُّهَا الۡعَزِيۡزُ اِنَّ لَهٗۤ اَبًا شَيۡخًا كَبِيۡرًا فَخُذۡ اَحَدَنَا مَكَانَهٗ ۚ اِنَّا نَرٰٮكَ مِنَ الۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَ ٧٨
12:78
They said, "O 'Azeez, indeed he has a father [who is] an old man, so take one of us in his place. Indeed, we see you as a doer of good."
قَالَ مَعَاذَ اللّٰهِ اَنۡ نَّاۡخُذَ اِلَّا مَنۡ وُّجِدۡنَا مَتَاعَنَا عِنۡدَهٗ ۤ ۙ اِنَّاۤ اِذًا لَّظٰلِمُوۡنَ ٧٩
12:79
He said, "[I seek] the refuge of Allah that we should take other than him with whom we found our possession. Indeed, we would then be wrongdoers."
فَلَمَّا اسۡتَيۡئَسُوۡا مِنۡهُ خَلَصُوۡا نَجِيًّا ؕ قَالَ كَبِيۡرُهُمۡ اَلَمۡ تَعۡلَمُوۡۤا اَنَّ اَبَاكُمۡ قَدۡ اَخَذَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ مَّوۡثِقًا مِّنَ اللّٰهِ وَمِنۡ قَبۡلُ مَا فَرَّطۡتُمۡ فِىۡ يُوۡسُفَ ۚ فَلَنۡ اَبۡرَحَ الۡاَرۡضَ حَتّٰى يَاۡذَنَ لِىۡۤ اَبِىۡۤ اَوۡ يَحۡكُمَ اللّٰهُ لِىۡ ۚ وَهُوَ خَيۡرُ الۡحٰكِمِيۡنَ ٨٠
12:80
So when they had despaired of [persuading] him, they secluded themselves to confer. The eldest of them said, "Do you not know that your father had taken upon you an oath by Allah and [how] you were deficient concerning Joseph before? So I will never leave this land until my father permits me or Allah decides for me, and He is the best of judges.
ارۡجِعُوۡۤا اِلٰى اَبِيۡكُمۡ فَقُوۡلُوۡا يٰۤاَبَانَاۤ اِنَّ ابۡنَكَ سَرَقَ ۚ وَمَا شَهِدۡنَاۤ اِلَّا بِمَا عَلِمۡنَا وَمَا كُنَّا لِلۡغَيۡبِ حٰفِظِيۡنَ ٨١
12:81
Return to your father and say, 'O our father, indeed your son stole. And we did not testify except to what we knew, and we were not guardians of the unseen.
وَسۡئَلِ الۡقَرۡيَةَ الَّتِىۡ كُنَّا فِيۡهَا وَالۡعِيۡرَ الَّتِىۡۤ اَقۡبَلۡنَا فِيۡهَا ؕ وَاِنَّا لَصٰدِقُوۡنَ ٨٢
12:82
And ask the city in which we were and the caravan in which we returned. And indeed, we are truthful.'"
قَالَ بَلۡ سَوَّلَتۡ لَكُمۡ اَنۡفُسُكُمۡ اَمۡرًا ۚ فَصَبۡرٌ جَمِيۡلٌ ؕ عَسَى اللّٰهُ اَنۡ يَّاۡتِيَنِىۡ بِهِمۡ جَمِيۡعًا ؕ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ الۡعَلِيۡمُ الۡحَكِيۡمُ ٨٣
12:83
[Jacob] said, "Rather, your souls have enticed you to something, so patience is most fitting. Perhaps Allah will bring them all to me. Indeed, it is He who is the Knowing, the Wise."
وَتَوَلّٰى عَنۡهُمۡ وَقَالَ يٰۤاَسَفٰى عَلٰى يُوۡسُفَ وَابۡيَضَّتۡ عَيۡنٰهُ مِنَ الۡحُزۡنِ فَهُوَ كَظِيۡمٌ ٨٤
12:84
And he turned away from them and said, "Oh, my sorrow over Joseph," and his eyes became white from grief, for he was [of that] repressed.
قَالُوۡا تَاللّٰهِ تَفۡتَؤُا تَذۡكُرُ يُوۡسُفَ حَتّٰى تَكُوۡنَ حَرۡضًا اَوۡ تَكُوۡنَ مِنَ الۡهٰلِكِيۡنَ ٨٥
12:85
They said, "By Allah, you will not cease remembering Joseph until you become fatally ill or are of those who perish."
قَالَ اِنَّمَاۤ اَشۡكُوۡ بَثِّىۡ وَحُزۡنِىۡۤ اِلَى اللّٰهِ وَاَعۡلَمُ مِنَ اللّٰهِ مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ٨٦
12:86
He said, "I only complain of my suffering and my grief to Allah, and I know from Allah that which you do not know.
يٰبَنِىَّ اذۡهَبُوۡا فَتَحَسَّسُوۡا مِنۡ يُّوۡسُفَ وَاَخِيۡهِ وَلَا تَاۡيۡـَٔسُوۡا مِنۡ رَّوۡحِ اللّٰهِ ؕ اِنَّهٗ لَا يَاۡيۡـَٔسُ مِنۡ رَّوۡحِ اللّٰهِ اِلَّا الۡقَوۡمُ الۡكٰفِرُوۡنَ ٨٧
12:87
O my sons, go and inquire about Joseph and his brother and never give up hope of relief from Allah. Indeed, no one despairs of relief from Allah except the disbelieving people."
فَلَمَّا دَخَلُوۡا عَلَيۡهِ قَالُوۡا يٰۤاَيُّهَا الۡعَزِيۡزُ مَسَّنَا وَاَهۡلَنَا الضُّرُّ وَجِئۡنَا بِبِضَاعَةٍ مُّزۡجٰٮةٍ فَاَوۡفِ لَنَا الۡكَيۡلَ وَتَصَدَّقۡ عَلَيۡنَا ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَجۡزِى الۡمُتَصَدِّقِيۡنَ ٨٨
12:88
So when they entered upon [Joseph], they said, "O 'Azeez, adversity has touched us and our family, and we have brought only meager merchandise. So give us full measure and be charitable to us. Indeed, Allah rewards the charitable."
قَالَ هَلۡ عَلِمۡتُمۡ مَّا فَعَلۡتُمۡ بِيُوۡسُفَ وَاَخِيۡهِ اِذۡ اَنۡتُمۡ جٰهِلُوۡنَ ٨٩
12:89
He said, "Did you know what you did to Joseph and his brother in your ignorance?"
قَالُوۡۤا ءَاِنَّكَ لَاَنۡتَ يُوۡسُفُ ؕ قَالَ اَنَا يُوۡسُفُ وَهٰذَاۤ اَخِىۡ ۖۚ قَدۡ مَنَّ اللّٰهُ عَلَيۡنَا ؕ اِنَّهٗ مَنۡ يَّتَّقِ وَيَصۡبِرۡ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُضِيۡعُ اَجۡرَ الۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَ ٩٠
12:90
They said, "Are you indeed Joseph?" He said, "I am Joseph, and this is my brother. Allah has certainly favored us. Indeed, he who fears Allah and is patient - then indeed, Allah does not allow to be lost the reward of the doers of good."
قَالُوۡا تَاللّٰهِ لَقَدۡ اٰثَرَكَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيۡنَا وَاِنۡ كُنَّا لَخٰطِئِيۡنَ ٩١
12:91
They said, "By Allah, verily has Allah preferred you over us, and indeed, we were sinners."
قَالَ لَا تَثۡرِيۡبَ عَلَيۡكُمُ الۡيَوۡمَ ؕ يَغۡفِرُ اللّٰهُ لَكُمۡ ؕ وَهُوَ اَرۡحَمُ الرّٰحِمِيۡنَ ٩٢
12:92
He said, "No blame will there be upon you this day. May Allah forgive you; and He is the most merciful of the merciful.
اِذۡهَبُوۡا بِقَمِيۡصِىۡ هٰذَا فَاَلۡقُوۡهُ عَلٰى وَجۡهِ اَبِىۡ يَاۡتِ بَصِيۡرًا ۚ وَاۡتُوۡنِىۡ بِاَهۡلِكُمۡ اَجۡمَعِيۡنَ ٩٣
12:93
Take this shirt of mine and cast it over the face of my father; he will become seeing. And bring me your whole family."
وَلَمَّا فَصَلَتِ الۡعِيۡرُ قَالَ اَبُوۡهُمۡ اِنِّىۡ لَاَجِدُ رِيۡحَ يُوۡسُفَ ۙ لَوۡلَاۤ اَنۡ تُفَنِّدُوۡنِ ٩٤
12:94
And when the caravan departed [from Egypt], their father said, "Indeed, I perceive the fragrance of Joseph, if you should not consider me a dotard."
قَالُوۡا تَاللّٰهِ اِنَّكَ لَفِىۡ ضَلٰلِكَ الۡقَدِيۡمِ ٩٥
12:95
They said, "By Allah, indeed you are in your old delusion."
فَلَمَّاۤ اَنۡ جَآءَ الۡبَشِيۡرُ اَلۡقٰٮهُ عَلٰى وَجۡهِهٖ فَارۡتَدَّ بَصِيۡرًا ۚ قَالَ اَلَمۡ اَقُلْ لَّكُمۡ اِنِّىۡۤ اَعۡلَمُ مِنَ اللّٰهِ مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ٩٦
12:96
And when the bearer of good tidings arrived, he cast [the shirt] over his face, and Jacob returned to sight. He said, "Did I not tell you that I know from Allah that which you do not know?"
قَالُوۡا يٰۤاَبَانَا اسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَنَا ذُنُوۡبَنَاۤ ۖۚ اِنَّا كُنَّا خٰطِئِيۡنَ ٩٧
12:97
They said, "O our father, ask forgiveness for us for our sins; indeed, we were sinners."
قَالَ سَوۡفَ اَسۡتَغۡفِرُ لَكُمۡ رَبِّىۡ ؕ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ الۡغَفُوۡرُ الرَّحِيۡمُ ٩٨
12:98
He said, "I will ask forgiveness for you from my Lord; indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."
فَلَمَّا دَخَلُوۡا عَلٰى يُوۡسُفَ اٰوٰۤى اِلَيۡهِ اَبَوَيۡهِ وَقَالَ ادۡخُلُوۡا مِصۡرَ اِنۡ شَآءَ اللّٰهُ اٰمِنِيۡنَ ٩٩
12:99
And when they entered upon Joseph, he took his parents to [stay] with him and said, "Enter Egypt, Allah willing, safe [and secure].
وَرَفَعَ اَبَوَيۡهِ عَلَى الۡعَرۡشِ وَخَرُّوۡا لَهٗ سُجَّدًا ۚ وَقَالَ يٰۤاَبَتِ هٰذَا تَاۡوِيۡلُ رُءۡيَاىَ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ ۖ قَدۡ جَعَلَهَا رَبِّىۡ حَقًّا ؕ وَقَدۡ اَحۡسَنَ بِىۡۤ اِذۡ اَخۡرَجَنِىۡ مِنَ السِّجۡنِ وَجَآءَ بِكُمۡ مِّنَ الۡبَدۡوِ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ اَنۡ نَّزَغَ الشَّيۡطٰنُ بَيۡنِىۡ وَبَيۡنَ اِخۡوَتِىۡ ؕ اِنَّ رَبِّىۡ لَطِيۡفٌ لِّمَا يَشَآءُ ؕ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ الۡعَلِيۡمُ الۡحَكِيۡمُ ١٠٠
12:100
And he raised his parents upon the throne, and they bowed down to him in prostration. And he said, "O my father, this is the interpretation of my vision of before. My Lord has made it reality. And He was certainly good to me when He took me out of prison and brought you from the desert after Satan had caused discord between me and my brothers. Indeed, my Lord is Subtle in what He wills. Indeed, it is He who is the Knowing, the Wise."
رَبِّ قَدۡ اٰتَيۡتَنِىۡ مِنَ الۡمُلۡكِ وَعَلَّمۡتَنِىۡ مِنۡ تَاۡوِيۡلِ الۡاَحَادِيۡثِ ۚ فَاطِرَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ ۫ اَنۡتَ وَلِىّٖ فِىۡ الدُّنۡيَا وَالۡاٰخِرَةِ ۚ تَوَفَّنِىۡ مُسۡلِمًا وَّاَلۡحِقۡنِىۡ بِالصّٰلِحِيۡنَ ١٠١
12:101
My Lord, You have given me [a share] of sovereignty and taught me of the interpretation of dreams. Creator of the heavens and earth, You are my protector in this world and in the Hereafter. Cause me to die a Muslim and join me with the righteous."
ذٰلِكَ مِنۡ اَنۡۢبَآءِ الۡغَيۡبِ نُوۡحِيۡهِ اِلَيۡكَ ۚ وَمَا كُنۡتَ لَدَيۡهِمۡ اِذۡ اَجۡمَعُوۡۤا اَمۡرَهُمۡ وَهُمۡ يَمۡكُرُوۡنَ ١٠٢
12:102
That is from the news of the unseen which We reveal to you, [O Muhammad]. And you were not with them when they put together their plan while they conspired.
وَمَاۤ اَكۡثَرُ النَّاسِ وَلَوۡ حَرَصۡتَ بِمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ ١٠٣
12:103
And most of the people, however much you might desire it, are not believers.
وَمَا تَسۡـَٔلُهُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ اَجۡرٍ ؕ اِنۡ هُوَ اِلَّا ذِكۡرٌ لِّلۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ ١٠٤
12:104
And you do not ask of them for it any reward. It is not but a reminder to the worlds.
وَكَاَيِّنۡ مِّنۡ اٰيَةٍ فِىۡ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ يَمُرُّوۡنَ عَلَيۡهَا وَهُمۡ عَنۡهَا مُعۡرِضُوۡنَ ١٠٥
12:105
And how many a sign within the heavens and earth do they pass over while they are turning away from it.
وَمَا يُؤۡمِنُ اَكۡثَرُهُمۡ بِاللّٰهِ اِلَّا وَهُمۡ مُّشۡرِكُوۡنَ ١٠٦
12:106
And most of them believe not in Allah except while they associate others with Him.
اَفَاَمِنُوۡۤا اَنۡ تَاۡتِيَهُمۡ غَاشِيَةٌ مِّنۡ عَذَابِ اللّٰهِ اَوۡ تَاۡتِيَهُمُ السَّاعَةُ بَغۡتَةً وَّهُمۡ لَا يَشۡعُرُوۡنَ ١٠٧
12:107
Then did they feel secure that there would not come to them an overwhelming calamity from the punishment of Allah or that the Hour would not come upon them suddenly while they do not perceive?
قُلۡ هٰذِهٖ سَبِيۡلِىۡۤ اَدۡعُوۡۤا اِلَى اللّٰهِ ؔ عَلٰى بَصِيۡرَةٍ اَنَا وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَنِىۡ ؕ وَسُبۡحٰنَ اللّٰهِ وَمَاۤ اَنَا مِنَ الۡمُشۡرِكِيۡنَ ١٠٨
12:108
Say, "This is my way: I invite to Allah with sure knowledge - I and whoever follows me. And exalted is Allah; and I am not of those who associate others with Him."
وَمَاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَا مِنۡ قَبۡلِكَ اِلَّا رِجَالًا نُّوۡحِىۡۤ اِلَيۡهِمۡ مِّنۡ اَهۡلِ الۡقُرٰى ؕ اَفَلَمۡ يَسِيۡرُوۡا فِى الۡاَرۡضِ فَيَنۡظُرُوۡا كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِمۡ ؕ وَلَدَارُ الۡاٰخِرَةِ خَيۡرٌ لِّلَّذِيۡنَ اتَّقَوۡا ؕ اَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُوۡنَ ١٠٩
12:109
And We sent not before you except men to whom We revealed [Our message] from among the people of [those] cities. So have they not traveled through the earth and observed how was the end of those before them? And the home of the Hereafter is better for those who fear Allah; then will you not reason?
حَتّٰىۤ اِذَا اسۡتَيۡـَٔسَ الرُّسُلُ وَظَنُّوۡۤا اَنَّهُمۡ قَدۡ كُذِبُوۡا جَآءَهُمۡ نَصۡرُنَا فَنُجِّىَ مَنۡ نَّشَآءُ ؕ وَلَا يُرَدُّ بَاۡسُنَا عَنِ الۡقَوۡمِ الۡمُجۡرِمِيۡنَ ١١٠
12:110
[Contest continued] until, when the messengers despaired and thought that they were denied, Our help came to them, and whoever We willed was saved. And Our punishment is not removed from the criminal people.
لَقَدۡ كَانَ فِىۡ قَصَصِهِمۡ عِبۡرَةٌ لِّاُولِى الۡاَلۡبَابِ ؕ مَا كَانَ حَدِيۡثًا يُّفۡتَرٰى وَلٰكِنۡ تَصۡدِيۡقَ الَّذِىۡ بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهِ وَتَفۡصِيۡلَ كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ وَّهُدًى وَّرَحۡمَةً لِّقَوۡمٍ يُّؤۡمِنُوۡنَ ١١١
12:111
There was certainly in their stories a lesson for those of understanding. Never was it a narration invented, but [it is] a confirmation of [previous scriptures] and a detailed explanation of all things and guidance and mercy for a people who believe.
الٓمّٓرٰ ؕ تِلۡكَ اٰيٰتُ الۡكِتٰبِ ؕ وَالَّذِىۡۤ اُنۡزِلَ اِلَيۡكَ مِنۡ رَّبِّكَ الۡحَقُّ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكۡثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ ١
13:1
Alif-Lām-Mīm-Rā. These are the verses of the Book; and what has been revealed to you from your Lord is the truth, but most of the people do not believe.
اَللّٰهُ الَّذِىۡ رَفَعَ السَّمٰوٰتِ بِغَيۡرِ عَمَدٍ تَرَوۡنَهَا ثُمَّ اسۡتَوٰى عَلَى الۡعَرۡشِ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمۡسَ وَ الۡقَمَرَ ؕ كُلٌّ يَّجۡرِىۡ لِاَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ؕ يُدَبِّرُ الۡاَمۡرَ يُفَصِّلُ الۡاٰيٰتِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ بِلِقَآءِ رَبِّكُمۡ تُوۡقِنُوۡنَ ٢
13:2
Allah is the one who raised the heavens without pillars that you see, and then established Himself above the Throne and subjected the sun and the moon, each running [its course] for a specified term. He arranges [each] matter; He details the signs that you may be certain of the meeting with your Lord.
وَهُوَ الَّذِىۡ مَدَّ الۡاَرۡضَ وَ جَعَلَ فِيۡهَا رَوَاسِىَ وَ اَنۡهٰرًا ؕ وَمِنۡ كُلِّ الثَّمَرٰتِ جَعَلَ فِيۡهَا زَوۡجَيۡنِ اثۡنَيۡنِ ۙ يُغۡشِى الَّيۡلَ النَّهَارَ ؕ اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّقَوۡمٍ يَّتَفَكَّرُوۡنَ ٣
13:3
And He is the one who spread the earth and placed in it firmly set mountains and rivers; and from all of the fruits He made therein two mates (pairs). He causes the night to cover the day. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.
وَفِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ قِطَعٌ مُّتَجٰوِرٰتٌ وَّ جَنّٰتٌ مِّنۡ اَعۡنَابٍ وَّ زَرۡعٌ وَّ نَخِيۡلٌ صِنۡوٰنٌ وَّغَيۡرُ صِنۡوٰنٍ يُّسۡقٰى بِمَآءٍ وَّاحِدٍ ۙ وَّنُفَضِّلُ بَعۡضَهَا عَلٰى بَعۡضٍ فِىۡ الۡاُكُلِ ؕ اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّقَوۡمٍ يَّعۡقِلُوۡنَ ٤
13:4
And within the land are neighboring plots and gardens of grapevines and crops and palm trees, [growing] several from a root or otherwise, watered with one water; but We make some of them exceed others in [quality of] fruit. Indeed in that are signs for a people who use reason.
وَاِنۡ تَعۡجَبۡ فَعَجَبٌ قَوۡلُهُمۡ ءَاِذَا كُنَّا تُرٰبًا ءَاِنَّا لَفِىۡ خَلۡقٍ جَدِيۡدٍ ؕ اُولٰٓئِكَ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا بِرَبِّهِمۡ ۚ وَاُولٰٓئِكَ الۡاَغۡلٰلُ فِىۡۤ اَعۡنَاقِهِمۡ ۚ وَ اُولٰٓئِكَ اَصۡحٰبُ النَّارِ ۚ هُمۡ فِيۡهَا خٰلِدُوۡنَ ٥
13:5
And if you wonder, then wondrous is their saying, "When we are dust, will we indeed be in a new creation?" Those are the ones who have disbelieved in their Lord, and those will have shackles on their necks, and those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally.
وَيَسۡتَعۡجِلُوۡنَكَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ قَبۡلَ الۡحَسَنَةِ وَ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِمُ الۡمَثُلٰتُ ؕ وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُوۡ مَغۡفِرَةٍ لِّلنَّاسِ عَلٰى ظُلۡمِهِمۡ ۚ وَ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَشَدِيۡدُ الۡعِقَابِ ٦
13:6
They impatiently seek from you the bad [i.e., punishment] before the good [i.e., reward], while there has already occurred before them similar punishments [for earlier nations]. And indeed, your Lord is full of forgiveness for the people despite their wrongdoing, and indeed, your Lord is severe in penalty.
وَيَقُوۡلُ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا لَوۡلَاۤ اُنۡزِلَ عَلَيۡهِ اٰيَةٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّهٖ ؕ اِنَّمَاۤ اَنۡتَ مُنۡذِرٌ ٞ وَّ لِكُلِّ قَوۡمٍ هَادٍ ٧
13:7
And those who disbelieved say, "Why has there not been sent down to him a sign from his Lord?" You are only a warner, and for every people there is a guide.
اَللّٰهُ يَعۡلَمُ مَا تَحۡمِلُ كُلُّ اُنۡثٰى وَمَا تَغِيۡضُ الۡاَرۡحَامُ وَمَا تَزۡدَادُ ؕ وَكُلُّ شَىۡءٍ عِنۡدَهٗ بِمِقۡدَارٍ ٨
13:8
Allah knows what every female carries and what the wombs lose [prematurely] or exceed. And everything with Him is by due measure.
عٰلِمُ الۡغَيۡبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ الۡكَبِيۡرُ الۡمُتَعَالِ ٩
13:9
[He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, the Grand, the Exalted.
سَوَآءٌ مِّنۡكُمۡ مَّنۡ اَسَرَّ الۡقَوۡلَ وَمَنۡ جَهَرَ بِهٖ وَمَنۡ هُوَ مُسۡتَخۡفٍۢ بِالَّيۡلِ وَسَارِبٌ ۢ بِالنَّهَارِ ١٠
13:10
It is the same [to Him] concerning you whether one conceals the speech or one publicizes it and whether one is hidden by night or conspicuous by day.
لَهٗ مُعَقِّبٰتٌ مِّنۡۢ بَيۡنِ يَدَيۡهِ وَمِنۡ خَلۡفِهٖ يَحۡفَظُوۡنَهٗ مِنۡ اَمۡرِ اللّٰهِ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوۡمٍ حَتّٰى يُغَيِّرُوۡا مَا بِاَنۡفُسِهِمۡ ؕ وَ اِذَاۤ اَرَادَ اللّٰهُ بِقَوۡمٍ سُوۡٓءًا فَلَا مَرَدَّ لَهٗ ؕ وَمَا لَهُمۡ مِّنۡ دُوۡنِهٖ مِنۡ وَّالٍ ١١
13:11
For him (man) are successive [angels] before him and behind him who protect him by the command of Allah. Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. And when Allah intends for a people ill, there is no repelling it. And there is not for them besides Him any patron.
هُوَ الَّذِىۡ يُرِيۡكُمُ الۡبَرۡقَ خَوۡفًا وَّطَمَعًا وَّ يُنۡشِئُ السَّحَابَ الثِّقَالَ ؕ ١٢
13:12
It is He who shows you lightning, [causing] fear and aspiration, and originates the heavy clouds.
وَيُسَبِّحُ الرَّعۡدُ بِحَمۡدِهٖ وَالۡمَلٰٓئِكَةُ مِنۡ خِيۡفَتِهٖ ۚ وَيُرۡسِلُ الصَّوٰعِقَ فَيُصِيۡبُ بِهَا مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ وَهُمۡ يُجَادِلُوۡنَ فِىۡ اللّٰهِ ۚ وَهُوَ شَدِيۡدُ الۡمِحَالِ ١٣
13:13
And the thunder exalts [Allah] with praise of Him - and the angels as well, from fear of Him - and He sends the thunderbolts and strikes therewith whom He wills while they dispute about Allah; and He is severe in [striking].
لَهٗ دَعۡوَةُ الۡحَقِّ ؕ وَالَّذِيۡنَ يَدۡعُوۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِهٖ لَا يَسۡتَجِيۡبُوۡنَ لَهُمۡ بِشَىۡءٍ اِلَّا كَبَاسِطِ كَفَّيۡهِ اِلَى الۡمَآءِ لِيَبۡلُغَ فَاهُ وَمَا هُوَ بِبٰلِغِهٖ ؕ وَمَا دُعَآءُ الۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ اِلَّا فِىۡ ضَلٰلٍ ١٤
13:14
To Him [alone] is the invocation of truth. And those they invoke besides Him do not respond to them with a thing, except as one who stretches his hands toward water [from afar] that it may reach his mouth, but it will not reach it [unless he goes to it]. And the invocation of the disbelievers is not but in error.
وَلِلّٰهِ يَسۡجُدُ مَنۡ فِىۡ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ طَوۡعًا وَّكَرۡهًا وَّ ظِلٰلُهُمۡ بِالۡغُدُوِّ وَالۡاٰصَالِ ۩ ١٥
13:15
And to Allah prostrates whoever is within the heavens and the earth, willingly or by compulsion, and their shadows [as well] in the mornings and the evenings.
قُلۡ مَنۡ رَّبُّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ ؕ قُلِ اللّٰهُ ؕ قُلۡ اَفَاتَّخَذۡتُمۡ مِّنۡ دُوۡنِهٖۤ اَوۡلِيَآءَ لَا يَمۡلِكُوۡنَ لِاَنۡفُسِهِمۡ نَفۡعًا وَّلَا ضَرًّا ؕ قُلۡ هَلۡ يَسۡتَوِى الۡاَعۡمٰى وَالۡبَصِيۡرُ ۙ اَمۡ هَلۡ تَسۡتَوِى الظُّلُمٰتُ وَالنُّوۡرُ ۙ اَمۡ جَعَلُوۡا لِلّٰهِ شُرَكَآءَ خَلَقُوۡا كَخَلۡقِهٖ فَتَشَابَهَ الۡخَلۡقُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ؕ قُلِ اللّٰهُ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ وَّهُوَ الۡوٰحِدُ الۡقَهَّارُ ١٦
13:16
Say, "Who is Lord of the heavens and earth?" Say, "Allah." Say, "Have you then taken besides Him protectors who do not possess for themselves [the power of] benefit or harm?" Say, "Is the blind equivalent to the seeing? Or is darkness equivalent to light? Or have they attributed to Allah partners who created like His creation so that the creation seemed similar to them?" Say, "Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is the One, the Irresistible."
اَنۡزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَسَالَتۡ اَوۡدِيَةٌ بِقَدَرِهَا فَاحۡتَمَلَ السَّيۡلُ زَبَدًا رَّابِيًا ؕ وَمِمَّا يُوۡقِدُوۡنَ عَلَيۡهِ فِىۡ النَّارِ ابۡتِغَآءَ حِلۡيَةٍ اَوۡ مَتَاعٍ زَبَدٌ مِّثۡلُهٗ ؕ كَذٰلِكَ يَضۡرِبُ اللّٰهُ الۡحَقَّ وَالۡبَاطِلَ ؕ فَاَمَّا الزَّبَدُ فَيَذۡهَبُ جُفَآءً ۚ وَاَمَّا مَا يَنۡفَعُ النَّاسَ فَيَمۡكُثُ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ ؕ كَذٰلِكَ يَضۡرِبُ اللّٰهُ الۡاَمۡثَالَ ١٧
13:17
He sends down from the sky water, and valleys flow according to their capacity, and the current carries a rising foam. And from that [ore] which they heat in the fire, desiring adornments or [utensils], is a foam like it. Thus does Allah present [the examples of] truth and falsehood. As for the foam, it vanishes, [being] worthless; and as for that which benefits the people, it remains on the earth. Thus does Allah present comparisons.
لِّلَّذِيۡنَ اسۡتَجَابُوۡا لِرَبِّهِمُ الۡحُسۡنٰى ؕ وَالَّذِيۡنَ لَمۡ يَسۡتَجِيۡبُوۡا لَهٗ لَوۡ اَنَّ لَهُمۡ مَّا فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ جَمِيۡعًا وَّمِثۡلَهٗ مَعَهٗ لَافۡتَدَوۡا بِهٖ ؕ اُولٰٓئِكَ لَهُمۡ سُوۡٓءُ الۡحِسَابِ ۙ وَمَاۡوٰٮهُمۡ جَهَنَّمُ ؕ وَبِئۡسَ الۡمِهَادُ ١٨
13:18
For those who have responded to their Lord is the best [reward]. But those who did not respond to Him - if they had all that is in the earth, and the like of it with it, they would offer it as ransom. Those will have the worst account, and their refuge is Hell, and wretched is the resting place.
اَفَمَنۡ يَّعۡلَمُ اَنَّمَاۤ اُنۡزِلَ اِلَيۡكَ مِنۡ رَّبِّكَ الۡحَقُّ كَمَنۡ هُوَ اَعۡمٰى ؕ اِنَّمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ اُولُوۡا الۡاَلۡبٰبِ ۙ ١٩
13:19
Then is he who knows that what has been revealed to you from your Lord is the truth like him who is blind? Only those who have understanding will be reminded.
الَّذِيۡنَ يُوۡفُوۡنَ بِعَهۡدِ اللّٰهِ وَلَا يَنۡقُضُوۡنَ الۡمِيۡثَاقَ ۙ ٢٠
13:20
Those who fulfill the covenant of Allah and do not break the agreement,
وَالَّذِيۡنَ يَصِلُوۡنَ مَاۤ اَمَرَ اللّٰهُ بِهٖۤ اَنۡ يُّوۡصَلَ وَيَخۡشَوۡنَ رَبَّهُمۡ وَيَخَافُوۡنَ سُوۡٓءَ الۡحِسَابِ ٢١
13:21
And those who join that which Allah has ordered to be joined and fear their Lord and dread the evil of [taking] account;
وَالَّذِيۡنَ صَبَرُوا ابۡتِغَآءَ وَجۡهِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَ اَقَامُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَ اَنۡفَقُوۡا مِمَّا رَزَقۡنٰهُمۡ سِرًّا وَّ عَلَانِيَةً وَّ يَدۡرَءُوۡنَ بِالۡحَسَنَةِ السَّيِّئَةَ اُولٰٓئِكَ لَهُمۡ عُقۡبَى الدَّارِ ۙ ٢٢
13:22
And those who endure patiently, seeking the countenance of their Lord, and establish prayer and spend from what We have provided for them secretly and publicly and repel evil with good - those will have the final good consequence of [this] home -
جَنّٰتُ عَدۡنٍ يَّدۡخُلُوۡنَهَا وَمَنۡ صَلَحَ مِنۡ اٰبَآئِهِمۡ وَاَزۡوٰجِهِمۡ وَذُرِّيّٰتِهِمۡ ؕ وَ الۡمَلٰٓئِكَةُ يَدۡخُلُوۡنَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ مِّنۡ كُلِّ بَابٍ ۙ ٢٣
13:23
Gardens of perpetual residence; they will enter them with whoever did righteousness of their fathers, their spouses and their descendants. And the angels will enter upon them from every gate,
سَلٰمٌ عَلَيۡكُمۡ بِمَا صَبَرۡتُمۡ فَنِعۡمَ عُقۡبَى الدَّارِ ٢٤
13:24
[Saying], "Peace be upon you for what you patiently endured. And excellent is the final home."
وَ الَّذِيۡنَ يَنۡقُضُوۡنَ عَهۡدَ اللّٰهِ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مِيۡثَاقِهٖ وَ يَقۡطَعُوۡنَ مَاۤ اَمَرَ اللّٰهُ بِهٖۤ اَنۡ يُّوۡصَلَ وَ يُفۡسِدُوۡنَ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ ۙ اُولٰٓئِكَ لَهُمُ اللَّعۡنَةُ وَلَهُمۡ سُوۡٓءُ الدَّارِ ٢٥
13:25
But those who break the covenant of Allah after contracting it and sever that which Allah has ordered to be joined and spread corruption in the earth - for them is the curse, and they will have the worst home.
اَللّٰهُ يَبۡسُطُ الرِّزۡقَ لِمَنۡ يَّشَآءُ وَيَقۡدِرُ ؕ وَفَرِحُوۡا بِالۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَا ؕ وَمَا الۡحَيٰوةُ الدُّنۡيَا فِىۡ الۡاٰخِرَةِ اِلَّا مَتَاعٌ ٢٦
13:26
Allah extends provision for whom He wills and restricts [it]. And they rejoice in the worldly life, while the worldly life is not, compared to the Hereafter, except a [brief] enjoyment.
وَيَقُوۡلُ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا لَوۡلَاۤ اُنۡزِلَ عَلَيۡهِ اٰيَةٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّهٖ ؕ قُلۡ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُضِلُّ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ وَيَهۡدِىۡۤ اِلَيۡهِ مَنۡ اَنَابَ ۙ ٢٧
13:27
And those who disbelieved say, "Why has a sign not been sent down to him from his Lord?" Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, Allah leaves astray whom He wills and guides to Himself whoever turns back [to Him] -
الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَتَطۡمَئِنُّ قُلُوۡبُهُمۡ بِذِكۡرِ اللّٰهِ ؕ اَلَا بِذِكۡرِ اللّٰهِ تَطۡمَئِنُّ الۡقُلُوۡبُ ٢٨
13:28
Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of Allah. Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured."
اَلَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوۡا الصّٰلِحٰتِ طُوۡبٰى لَهُمۡ وَ حُسۡنُ مَاٰبٍ ٢٩
13:29
Those who believed and did righteous deeds - for them is happiness and a excellent return.
كَذٰلِكَ اَرۡسَلۡنٰكَ فِىۡۤ اُمَّةٍ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهَاۤ اُمَمٌ لِّتَتۡلُوَاۡ عَلَيۡهِمُ الَّذِىۡۤ اَوۡحَيۡنَاۤ اِلَيۡكَ وَهُمۡ يَكۡفُرُوۡنَ بِالرَّحۡمٰنِ ؕ قُلۡ هُوَ رَبِّىۡ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ ۚ عَلَيۡهِ تَوَكَّلۡتُ وَاِلَيۡهِ مَتَابِ ؕ ٣٠
13:30
Thus have We sent you forth to a community before which [other] communities have passed on, that you might recite to them that which We revealed to you, while they disbelieve in the Most Merciful. Say, "He is my Lord; there is no deity except Him. Upon Him I have relied, and to Him is my return."
وَلَوۡ اَنَّ قُرۡاٰنًا سُيِّرَتۡ بِهِ الۡجِبَالُ اَوۡ قُطِّعَتۡ بِهِ الۡاَرۡضُ اَوۡ كُلِّمَ بِهِ الۡمَوۡتٰى ؕ بَل لِّلّٰهِ الۡاَمۡرُ جَمِيۡعًا ؕ اَفَلَمۡ يَاۡيۡـَٔسِ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اَنۡ لَّوۡ يَشَآءُ اللّٰهُ لَهَدَى النَّاسَ جَمِيۡعًا ؕ وَلَا يَزَالُ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا تُصِيۡبُهُمۡ بِمَا صَنَعُوۡا قَارِعَةٌ اَوۡ تَحُلُّ قَرِيۡبًا مِّنۡ دَارِهِمۡ حَتّٰى يَاۡتِىَ وَعۡدُ اللّٰهِ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُخۡلِفُ الۡمِيۡعَادَ ٣١
13:31
And if there was any Qur'an by which the mountains could be moved or the earth could be broken apart or the dead could be made to speak, [it would be this Qur'an]. But to Allah belongs the affair entirely. So have those who believed not learned that if Allah had willed, He could have guided the people all entirely? But those who disbelieve - still disaster will strike them because of what they did or it will befall near their homes until the promise of Allah comes true. Indeed, Allah does not fail in [His] promise.
وَلَقَدِ اسۡتُهۡزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّنۡ قَبۡلِكَ فَاَمۡلَيۡتُ لِلَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا ثُمَّ اَخَذۡتُهُمۡ ۚ فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ ٣٢
13:32
And already were [other] messengers ridiculed before you, and I prolonged enjoyment for those who disbelieved; then I seized them, and how [terrible] was My penalty.
اَفَمَنۡ هُوَ قَآئِمٌ عَلٰى كُلِّ نَفۡسٍۢ بِمَا كَسَبَتۡ ؕ وَجَعَلُوۡا لِلّٰهِ شُرَكَآءَ ؕ قُلۡ سَمُّوۡهُمۡ ؕ اَمۡ تُنَبِّئُوۡنَهٗ بِمَا لَا يَعۡلَمُ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ اَمۡ بِظَاهِرٍ مِّنَ الۡقَوۡلِ ؕ بَلۡ زُيِّنَ لِلَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا مَكۡرُهُمۡ وَ صُدُّوۡا عَنِ السَّبِيۡلِ ؕ وَ مَنۡ يُّضۡلِلِ اللّٰهُ فَمَا لَهٗ مِنۡ هَادٍ ٣٣
13:33
Then is He who is standing over every soul, [observing] what it has earned, [like those idols]? But they have attributed to Allah partners. Say, "Name them. Or are you informing Him of that which He does not know upon the earth or [are you just uttering] an empty saying?" Rather, the plotting of those who disbelieve has been made attractive to them, and they have been averted from the way. And he whom Allah leaves astray - there will be for him no guide.
لَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ فِىۡ الۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَا وَلَعَذَابُ الۡاٰخِرَةِ اَشَقُّ ۚ وَمَا لَهُمۡ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ مِنۡ وَّاقٍ ٣٤
13:34
For them is punishment in the worldly life, and the punishment of the Hereafter is more severe. And they have from Allah no protector.
مَثَلُ الۡجَنَّةِ الَّتِىۡ وُعِدَ الۡمُتَّقُوۡنَ ؕ تَجۡرِىۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِهَا الۡاَنۡهٰرُ ؕ اُكُلُهَا دَآئِمٌ وَّ ظِلُّهَا ؕ تِلۡكَ عُقۡبَى الَّذِيۡنَ اتَّقَوۡا وَّعُقۡبَى الۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ النَّارُ ٣٥
13:35
The description of Paradise, which the righteous are promised, is that beneath it rivers flow. Its fruit is lasting, and its shade. That is the final destiny of those who fear Allah, and the final destiny of the disbelievers is the Fire.
وَ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰتَيۡنٰهُمُ الۡكِتٰبَ يَفۡرَحُوۡنَ بِمَاۤ اُنۡزِلَ اِلَيۡكَ ؕ وَمِنۡ الۡاَحۡزَابِ مَنۡ يُّنۡكِرُ بَعۡضَهٗ ؕ قُلۡ اِنَّمَاۤ اُمِرۡتُ اَنۡ اَعۡبُدَ اللّٰهَ وَلَاۤ اُشۡرِكَ بِهٖ ؕ اِلَيۡهِ اَدۡعُوۡا وَ اِلَيۡهِ مَاٰبِ ٣٦
13:36
And those to whom We gave the Scripture rejoice at what has been revealed to you, but among the opposing factions are some who deny part of it. Say, "I have only been commanded to worship Allah and not associate [anything] with Him. To Him I invite, and to Him is my return."
وَكَذٰلِكَ اَنۡزَلۡنٰهُ حُكۡمًا عَرَبِيًّا ؕ وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعۡتَ اَهۡوَآءَهُمۡ بَعۡدَ مَا جَآءَكَ مِنَ الۡعِلۡمِ ۙ مَا لَكَ مِنَ اللّٰهِ مِنۡ وَّلِىٍّ وَّلَا وَاقٍ ٣٧
13:37
And thus We have sent it down as a judgment in Arabic. And if you should follow their inclinations after what has come to you of knowledge, you would not have against Allah any protector or savior.
وَلَقَدۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَا رُسُلًا مِّنۡ قَبۡلِكَ وَجَعَلۡنَا لَهُمۡ اَزۡوَاجًا وَّذُرِّيَّةً ؕ وَمَا كَانَ لِرَسُوۡلٍ اَنۡ يَّاۡتِىَ بِاٰيَةٍ اِلَّا بِاِذۡنِ اللّٰهِ ؕ لِكُلِّ اَجَلٍ كِتَابٌ ٣٨
13:38
And We have already sent messengers before you and made for them wives and descendants. And it was not for any messenger to bring a sign except by [permission of] Allah. For every term is a [prescribed] book.
يَمۡحُوا اللّٰهُ مَا يَشَآءُ وَيُثۡبِتُ ۚ وَعِنۡدَهٗۤ اُمُّ الۡكِتٰبِ ٣٩
13:39
Allah eliminates what He wills or confirms, and with Him is the Mother of the Book.
وَاِنۡ مَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعۡضَ الَّذِىۡ نَعِدُهُمۡ اَوۡ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَاِنَّمَا عَلَيۡكَ الۡبَلٰغُ وَعَلَيۡنَا الۡحِسَابُ ٤٠
13:40
And whether We show you some of what We promise them, or We cause you to die, upon you is only the [duty of] notification, and upon Us is the account.
اَوَلَمۡ يَرَوۡا اَنَّا نَاۡتِى الۡاَرۡضَ نَنۡقُصُهَا مِنۡ اَطۡرَافِهَا ؕ وَاللّٰهُ يَحۡكُمُ لَا مُعَقِّبَ لِحُكۡمِهٖ ؕ وَهُوَ سَرِيۡعُ الۡحِسَابِ ٤١
13:41
Have they not seen that We set upon the land, reducing it from its borders? And Allah decides; there is no adjuster of His decision. And He is swift in account.
وَقَدۡ مَكَرَ الَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِمۡ فَلِلّٰهِ الۡمَكۡرُ جَمِيۡعًا ؕ يَعۡلَمُ مَا تَكۡسِبُ كُلُّ نَفۡسٍ ؕ وَسَيَعۡلَمُ الۡكُفّٰرُ لِمَنۡ عُقۡبَى الدَّارِ ٤٢
13:42
And those before them planned, but to Allah belongs the planning entirely. He knows what every soul earns, and the disbelievers will know for whom is the final home.
وَيَقُوۡلُ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا لَسۡتَ مُرۡسَلًا ؕ قُلۡ كَفٰى بِاللّٰهِ شَهِيۡدًا ۢ بَيۡنِىۡ وَبَيۡنَكُمۡ ۙ وَمَنۡ عِنۡدَهٗ عِلۡمُ الۡكِتٰبِ ٤٣
13:43
And those who have disbelieved say, "You are not a messenger." Say, "Sufficient is Allah as a witness between me and you, and he who has knowledge of the Scripture."
الٓرٰ ؕ كِتٰبٌ اَنۡزَلۡنٰهُ اِلَيۡكَ لِتُخۡرِجَ النَّاسَ مِنَ الظُّلُمٰتِ اِلَى النُّوۡرِ ۙ بِاِذۡنِ رَبِّهِمۡ اِلٰى صِرَاطِ الۡعَزِيۡزِ الۡحَمِيۡدِ ۙ ١
14:1
Alif-Lām-Rā. [This is] a Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that you might bring mankind out of darknesses into the light by permission of their Lord - to the path of the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy -
اَللّٰهِ الَّذِىۡ لَهٗ مَا فِىۡ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ ؕ وَوَيۡلٌ لِّلۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ مِنۡ عَذَابٍ شَدِيۡدٍ ۙ ٢
14:2
Allah, to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And woe to the disbelievers from a severe punishment -
الَّذِيۡنَ يَسۡتَحِبُّوۡنَ الۡحَيٰوةَ الدُّنۡيَا عَلَى الۡاٰخِرَةِ وَيَصُدُّوۡنَ عَنۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ وَيَبۡغُوۡنَهَا عِوَجًا ؕ اُولٰٓئِكَ فِىۡ ضَلٰلٍۢ بَعِيۡدٍ ٣
14:3
Those who prefer the worldly life over the Hereafter and avert [people] from the way of Allah and seek to make it [seem] deviant. Those are in extreme error.
وَمَاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَا مِنۡ رَّسُوۡلٍ اِلَّا بِلِسَانِ قَوۡمِهٖ لِيُبَيِّنَ لَهُمۡ ؕ فَيُضِلُّ اللّٰهُ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ وَيَهۡدِىۡ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ ؕ وَهُوَ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الۡحَكِيۡمُ ٤
14:4
And We did not send any messenger except [with] the language of his people to make [the message] clear for them. Then Allah leaves astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
وَلَقَدۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَا مُوۡسٰى بِاٰيٰتِنَاۤ اَنۡ اَخۡرِجۡ قَوۡمَكَ مِنَ الظُّلُمٰتِ اِلَى النُّوۡرِ ۙ وَذَكِّرۡهُمۡ بِاَيّٰٮمِ اللّٰهِ ؕ اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُوۡرٍ ٥
14:5
And We certainly sent Moses with Our signs, [saying], "Bring out your people from darknesses into the light and remind them of the days of Allah." Indeed in that are signs for every patient and grateful person.
وَ اِذۡ قَالَ مُوۡسٰى لِقَوۡمِهِ اذۡكُرُوۡا نِعۡمَةَ اللّٰهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ اِذۡ اَنۡجٰٮكُمۡ مِّنۡ اٰلِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ يَسُوۡمُوۡنَكُمۡ سُوۡٓءَ الۡعَذَابِ وَيُذَبِّحُوۡنَ اَبۡنَآءَكُمۡ وَيَسۡتَحۡيُوۡنَ نِسَآءَكُمۡ ؕ وَفِىۡ ذٰلِكُمۡ بَلَآءٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّكُمۡ عَظِيۡمٌ ٦
14:6
And [recall] when Moses said to his people, "Remember the favor of Allah upon you when He saved you from the people of Pharaoh, who were afflicting you with the worst torment and were slaughtering your sons and letting your women live. And in that was a great trial from your Lord."
وَاِذۡ تَاَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمۡ لَئِنۡ شَكَرۡتُمۡ لَاَزِيۡدَنَّكُمۡ وَلَئِنۡ كَفَرۡتُمۡ اِنَّ عَذَابِىۡ لَشَدِيۡدٌ ٧
14:7
And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, "If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]; but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe."
وَقَالَ مُوۡسٰىۤ اِنۡ تَكۡفُرُوۡۤا اَنۡتُمۡ وَمَنۡ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ جَمِيۡعًا ۙ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَغَنِىٌّ حَمِيۡدٌ ٨
14:8
And Moses said, "If you should disbelieve, you and whoever is on earth entirely - indeed, Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy."
اَلَمۡ يَاۡتِكُمۡ نَبَؤُا الَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِكُمۡ قَوۡمِ نُوۡحٍ وَّعَادٍ وَّثَمُوۡدَ ؕ وَالَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ ؕ لَا يَعۡلَمُهُمۡ اِلَّا اللّٰهُ ؕ جَآءَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُهُمۡ بِالۡبَيِّنٰتِ فَرَدُّوۡۤا اَيۡدِيَهُمۡ فِىۡۤ اَفۡوَاهِهِمۡ وَقَالُوۡۤا اِنَّا كَفَرۡنَا بِمَاۤ اُرۡسِلۡتُمۡ بِهٖ وَاِنَّا لَفِىۡ شَكٍّ مِّمَّا تَدۡعُوۡنَنَاۤ اِلَيۡهِ مُرِيۡبٍ ٩
14:9
Has there not reached you the news of those before you - the people of Noah and 'Aad and Thamūd and those after them? None knows them but Allah. Their messengers came to them with clear evidences, but they put their hands over their mouths and said, "Indeed, we disbelieve in that with which you have been sent, and indeed, we are in disquieting doubt concerning that to which you invite us."
قَالَتۡ رُسُلُهُمۡ اَفِىۡ اللّٰهِ شَكٌّ فَاطِرِ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ ؕ يَدۡعُوۡكُمۡ لِيَغۡفِرَ لَكُمۡ مِّنۡ ذُنُوۡبِكُمۡ وَيُؤَخِّرَكُمۡ اِلٰىۤ اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ؕ قَالُوۡۤا اِنۡ اَنۡتُمۡ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثۡلُنَا ۙ تُرِيۡدُوۡنَ اَنۡ تَصُدُّوۡنَا عَمَّا كَانَ يَعۡبُدُ اٰبَآؤُنَا فَاۡتُوۡنَا بِسُلۡطٰنٍ مُّبِيۡنٍ ١٠
14:10
Their messengers said, "Can there be doubt about Allah, Creator of the heavens and earth? He invites you that He may forgive you of your sins and respite you for an appointed time." They said, "You are not but human beings like us who wish to avert us from what our fathers used to worship. So bring us a clear authority."
قَالَتۡ لَهُمۡ رُسُلُهُمۡ اِنۡ نَّحۡنُ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثۡلُكُمۡ وَلٰكِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَمُنُّ عَلٰى مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ مِنۡ عِبَادِهٖ ؕ وَمَا كَانَ لَنَاۤ اَنۡ نَّاۡتِيَكُمۡ بِسُلۡطٰنٍ اِلَّا بِاِذۡنِ اللّٰهِ ؕ وَعَلَى اللّٰهِ فَلۡيَتَوَكَّلِ الۡمُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ ١١
14:11
Their messengers said to them, "We are only human beings like you, but Allah confers favor upon whom He wills of His servants. It is not for us to bring you an authority except by permission of Allah. And upon Allah let the believers rely.
وَمَا لَنَاۤ اَلَّا نَتَوَكَّلَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ وَقَدۡ هَدٰٮنَا سُبُلَنَا ؕ وَلَنَصۡبِرَنَّ عَلٰى مَاۤ اٰذَيۡتُمُوۡنَا ؕ وَعَلَى اللّٰهِ فَلۡيَتَوَكَّلِ الۡمُتَوَكِّلُوۡنَ ١٢
14:12
And why should we not rely upon Allah while He has guided us to our [respective] ways? And we will surely endure the harm you inflict upon us. And upon Allah let those who would rely [indeed] rely."
وَقَالَ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا لِرُسُلِهِمۡ لَنُخۡرِجَنَّكُمۡ مِّنۡ اَرۡضِنَاۤ اَوۡ لَتَعُوۡدُنَّ فِىۡ مِلَّتِنَا ؕ فَاَوۡحٰىۤ اِلَيۡهِمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ لَنُهۡلِكَنَّ الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ ۙ ١٣
14:13
And those who disbelieved said to their messengers, "We will surely expel you from our land, or you must return to our religion." So their Lord inspired to them, "We will surely destroy the wrongdoers.
وَلَنُسۡكِنَنَّكُمُ الۡاَرۡضَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ ؕ ذٰلِكَ لِمَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامِىۡ وَخَافَ وَعِيۡدِ ١٤
14:14
And We will surely settle you in the land after them. That is for him who fears My position and fears My threat."
وَاسۡتَفۡتَحُوۡا وَخَابَ كُلُّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيۡدٍ ۙ ١٥
14:15
And they asked for victory, and every obstinate tyrant was disappointed.
مِّنۡ وَّرَآئِهٖ جَهَنَّمُ وَيُسۡقٰى مِنۡ مَّآءٍ صَدِيۡدٍ ۙ ١٦
14:16
Before him is Hell, and he will be given a drink of purulent water.
يَتَجَرَّعُهٗ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُسِيۡغُهٗ وَيَاۡتِيۡهِ الۡمَوۡتُ مِنۡ كُلِّ مَكَانٍ وَّمَا هُوَ بِمَيِّتٍ ؕ وَمِنۡ وَّرَآئِهٖ عَذَابٌ غَلِيۡظٌ ١٧
14:17
He will gulp it but will hardly [be able to] swallow it. And death will come to him from every direction, but he is not to die. And before him is a massive punishment.
مَثَلُ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا بِرَبِّهِمۡ اَعۡمَالُهُمۡ كَرَمَادٍ اشۡتَدَّتۡ بِهِ الرِّيۡحُ فِىۡ يَوۡمٍ عَاصِفٍ ؕ لَا يَقۡدِرُوۡنَ مِمَّا كَسَبُوۡا عَلٰى شَىۡءٍ ؕ ذٰلِكَ هُوَ الضَّلٰلُ الۡبَعِيۡدُ ١٨
14:18
The example of those who disbelieve in their Lord is that their deeds are like ashes which the wind vehemently scatters on a stormy day. They will not be able [to retain] anything of what they earned. That is the extreme error.
اَلَمۡ تَرَ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضَ بِالۡحَقِّ ؕ اِنۡ يَّشَاۡ يُذۡهِبۡكُمۡ وَيَاۡتِ بِخَلۡقٍ جَدِيۡدٍ ۙ ١٩
14:19
Do you not see that Allah created the heavens and the earth in truth? If He wills, He can do away with you and produce a new creation.
وَّمَا ذٰلِكَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ بِعَزِيۡزٍ ٢٠
14:20
And that is not difficult for Allah.
وَ بَرَزُوۡا لِلّٰهِ جَمِيۡعًا فَقَالَ الضُّعَفٰٓؤُا لِلَّذِيۡنَ اسۡتَكۡبَرُوۡۤا اِنَّا كُنَّا لَكُمۡ تَبَعًا فَهَلۡ اَنۡتُمۡ مُّغۡنُوۡنَ عَنَّا مِنۡ عَذَابِ اللّٰهِ مِنۡ شَىۡءٍ ؕ قَالُوۡا لَوۡ هَدٰٮنَا اللّٰهُ لَهَدَيۡنٰكُمۡ ؕ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيۡنَاۤ اَجَزِعۡنَاۤ اَمۡ صَبَرۡنَا مَا لَنَا مِنۡ مَّحِيۡصٍ ٢١
14:21
And they will come out [for judgment] before Allah all together, and the weak will say to those who were arrogant, "Indeed, we were your followers, so can you avail us anything against the punishment of Allah?" They will say, "If Allah had guided us, we would have guided you. It is all the same for us whether we show intolerance or are patient: there is no escape for us."
وَقَالَ الشَّيۡطٰنُ لَمَّا قُضِىَ الۡاَمۡرُ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ وَعَدَكُمۡ وَعۡدَ الۡحَقِّ وَوَعَدتُّكُمۡ فَاَخۡلَفۡتُكُمۡ ؕ وَمَا كَانَ لِىَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ مِّنۡ سُلۡطٰنٍ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ دَعَوۡتُكُمۡ فَاسۡتَجَبۡتُمۡ لِىۡ ۚ فَلَا تَلُوۡمُوۡنِىۡ وَلُوۡمُوۡۤا اَنۡفُسَكُمۡ ؕ مَاۤ اَنَا بِمُصۡرِخِكُمۡ وَمَاۤ اَنۡتُمۡ بِمُصۡرِخِىَّ ؕ اِنِّىۡ كَفَرۡتُ بِمَاۤ اَشۡرَكۡتُمُوۡنِ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ ؕ اِنَّ الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ لَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ اَلِيۡمٌ ٢٢
14:22
And Satan will say when the matter has been concluded, "Indeed, Allah had promised you the promise of truth. And I promised you, but I betrayed you. But I had no authority over you except that I invited you, and you responded to me. So do not blame me but blame yourselves. I cannot help you, nor can you help me. Indeed, I disbelieved in what you associated with me before." Indeed, the wrongdoers will have a painful punishment.
وَ اُدۡخِلَ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَ عَمِلُوۡا الصّٰلِحٰتِ جَنّٰتٍ تَجۡرِىۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِهَا الۡاَنۡهٰرُ خٰلِدِيۡنَ فِيۡهَا بِاِذۡنِ رَبِّهِمۡ ؕ تَحِيَّتُهُمۡ فِيۡهَا سَلٰمٌ ٢٣
14:23
And those who believed and did righteous deeds will be admitted to gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding eternally therein by permission of their Lord; and their greeting therein will be, "Peace!"
اَلَمۡ تَرَ كَيۡفَ ضَرَبَ اللّٰهُ مَثَلًا كَلِمَةً طَيِّبَةً كَشَجَرَةٍ طَيِّبَةٍ اَصۡلُهَا ثَابِتٌ وَّ فَرۡعُهَا فِىۡ السَّمَآءِ ۙ ٢٤
14:24
Have you not considered how Allah presents an example, [making] a good word like a good tree, whose root is firmly fixed and its branches [high] in the sky?
تُؤۡتِىۡۤ اُكُلَهَا كُلَّ حِيۡنٍ ۢ بِاِذۡنِ رَبِّهَا ؕ وَيَضۡرِبُ اللّٰهُ الۡاَمۡثَالَ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَتَذَكَّرُوۡنَ ٢٥
14:25
It produces its fruit every season by permission of its Lord. And Allah presents examples for the people that perhaps they will be reminded.
وَمَثَلُ كَلِمَةٍ خَبِيۡثَةٍ كَشَجَرَةٍ خَبِيۡثَةٍ اجۡتُثَّتۡ مِنۡ فَوۡقِ الۡاَرۡضِ مَا لَهَا مِنۡ قَرٰرٍ ٢٦
14:26
And the example of a bad word is like a bad tree, uprooted from the surface of the earth, not having any stability.
يُثَبِّتُ اللّٰهُ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا بِالۡقَوۡلِ الثَّابِتِ فِىۡ الۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَا وَفِىۡ الۡاٰخِرَةِ ۚ وَ يُضِلُّ اللّٰهُ الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ ۙ وَ يَفۡعَلُ اللّٰهُ مَا يَشَآءُ ٢٧
14:27
Allah keeps firm those who believe, with the firm word, in worldly life and in the Hereafter. And Allah leaves astray the wrongdoers. And Allah does what He wills.
اَلَمۡ تَرَ اِلَى الَّذِيۡنَ بَدَّلُوۡا نِعۡمَتَ اللّٰهِ كُفۡرًا وَّاَحَلُّوۡا قَوۡمَهُمۡ دَارَ الۡبَوَارِ ۙ ٢٨
14:28
Have you not considered those who exchanged the favor of Allah for disbelief and settled their people [in] the home of ruin?
جَهَنَّمَ ۚ يَصۡلَوۡنَهَا ؕ وَبِئۡسَ الۡقَرَارُ ٢٩
14:29
Jahannam (Hell), which they will [enter and] burn in, and wretched is the [place of] settlement.
وَ جَعَلُوۡا لِلّٰهِ اَنۡدَادًا لِّيُضِلُّوۡا عَنۡ سَبِيۡلِهٖ ؕ قُلۡ تَمَتَّعُوۡا فَاِنَّ مَصِيۡرَكُمۡ اِلَى النَّارِ ٣٠
14:30
And they set up equals to Allah to mislead [people] from His way. Say, "Enjoy yourselves, for indeed, your destination is the Fire."
قُل لِّعِبَادِىَ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا يُقِيۡمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَ يُنۡفِقُوۡا مِمَّا رَزَقۡنٰهُمۡ سِرًّا وَّ عَلَانِيَةً مِّنۡ قَبۡلِ اَنۡ يَّاۡتِىَ يَوۡمٌ لَّا بَيۡعٌ فِيۡهِ وَلَا خِلٰلٌ ٣١
14:31
Say to My servants who have believed, establish prayer and spend from what We have provided them, secretly and publicly, before a Day comes in which there will be no selling nor friendship.
اَللّٰهُ الَّذِىۡ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضَ وَ اَنۡزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَاَخۡرَجَ بِهٖ مِنَ الثَّمَرٰتِ رِزۡقًا لَّكُمۡ ۚ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الۡفُلۡكَ لِتَجۡرِىَ فِىۡ الۡبَحۡرِ بِاَمۡرِهٖ ۚ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الۡاَنۡهٰرَ ؕ ٣٢
14:32
It is Allah who created the heavens and the earth and sent down from the sky water and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you and subjected for you the ships to run upon the sea by His command and subjected for you the rivers.
وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الشَّمۡسَ وَالۡقَمَرَ دَآئِبَيۡنِ ۚ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الَّيۡلَ وَالنَّهَارَ ؕ ٣٣
14:33
And He subjected for you the sun and the moon, both continuously pursuing their courses, and subjected for you the night and the day.
وَاٰتٰٮكُمۡ مِّنۡ كُلِّ مَا سَاَلۡتُمُوۡهُ ؕ وَاِنۡ تَعُدُّوۡا نِعۡمَتَ اللّٰهِ لَا تُحۡصُوۡهَا ؕ اِنَّ الۡاِنۡسَانَ لَظَلُوۡمٌ كَفَّارٌ ٣٤
14:34
And He gave you [some] of all that you asked of Him. And if you should count the favor of Allah, you could not enumerate them. Indeed, mankind is [generally] most unjust and ungrateful.
وَ اِذۡ قَالَ اِبۡرٰهِيۡمُ رَبِّ اجۡعَلۡ هٰذَا الۡبَلَدَ اٰمِنًا وَّ اجۡنُبۡنِىۡ وَ بَنِىَّ اَنۡ نَّعۡبُدَ الۡاَصۡنَامَ ؕ ٣٥
14:35
And [mention, O Muhammad], when Abraham said, "My Lord, make this city [Mecca] secure and keep me and my sons away from worshipping idols.
رَبِّ اِنَّهُنَّ اَضۡلَلۡنَ كَثِيۡرًا مِّنَ النَّاسِ ۚ فَمَنۡ تَبِعَنِىۡ فَاِنَّهٗ مِنِّىۡ ۚ وَ مَنۡ عَصَانِىۡ فَاِنَّكَ غَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ ٣٦
14:36
My Lord, indeed they have led astray many among the people. So whoever follows me is certainly of me; and whoever disobeys me - indeed, You are Forgiving and Merciful.
رَبَّنَاۤ اِنِّىۡۤ اَسۡكَنۡتُ مِنۡ ذُرِّيَّتِىۡ بِوَادٍ غَيۡرِ ذِىۡ زَرۡعٍ عِنۡدَ بَيۡتِكَ الۡمُحَرَّمِ ۙ رَبَّنَا لِيُقِيۡمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ فَاجۡعَلۡ اَفۡئِدَةً مِّنَ النَّاسِ تَهۡوِىۡۤ اِلَيۡهِمۡ وَارۡزُقۡهُمۡ مِّنَ الثَّمَرٰتِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَشۡكُرُوۡنَ ٣٧
14:37
O our Lord, indeed I have settled some of my descendants in an uncultivated valley near Your sacred House, our Lord, that they may establish prayer. So make hearts among the people incline toward them and provide for them from the fruits that they might be grateful.
رَبَّنَاۤ اِنَّكَ تَعۡلَمُ مَا نُخۡفِىۡ وَمَا نُعۡلِنُ ؕ وَمَا يَخۡفٰى عَلَى اللّٰهِ مِنۡ شَىۡءٍ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ وَلَا فِىۡ السَّمَآءِ ٣٨
14:38
O our Lord, indeed You know what we conceal and what we declare, and nothing is hidden from Allah on earth or in the heaven.
اَلۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِىۡ وَهَبَ لِىۡ عَلَى الۡكِبَرِ اِسۡمٰعِيۡلَ وَ اِسۡحٰقَ ؕ اِنَّ رَبِّىۡ لَسَمِيۡعُ الدُّعَآءِ ٣٩
14:39
Praise to Allah, who has granted to me in old age Ishmael and Isaac. Indeed, my Lord is the Hearer of supplication.
رَبِّ اجۡعَلۡنِىۡ مُقِيۡمَ الصَّلٰوةِ وَمِنۡ ذُرِّيَّتِىۡ ۖ رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلۡ دُعَآءِ ٤٠
14:40
My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and [many] from my descendants. Our Lord, and accept my supplication.
رَبَّنَا اغۡفِرۡ لِىۡ وَلِوَالِدَىَّ وَ لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ يَوۡمَ يَقُوۡمُ الۡحِسَابُ ؕ ٤١
14:41
Our Lord, forgive me and my parents and the believers the Day the account is established."
وَلَا تَحۡسَبَنَّ اللّٰهَ غَافِلًا عَمَّا يَعۡمَلُ الظّٰلِمُوۡنَ ۙ اِنَّمَا يُؤَخِّرُهُمۡ لِيَوۡمٍ تَشۡخَصُ فِيۡهِ الۡاَبۡصَارُ ۙ ٤٢
14:42
And never think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do. He only delays them for a Day when eyes will stare [in horror].
مُهۡطِعِيۡنَ مُقۡنِعِىۡ رُءُوۡسِهِمۡ لَا يَرۡتَدُّ اِلَيۡهِمۡ طَرۡفُهُمۡ ۚ وَاَفۡئِدَتُهُمۡ هَوَآءٌ ؕ ٤٣
14:43
Racing ahead, their heads raised up, their glance not returning to them, and their hearts a vacuum.
وَاَنۡذِرِ النَّاسَ يَوۡمَ يَاۡتِيۡهِمُ الۡعَذَابُ فَيَقُوۡلُ الَّذِيۡنَ ظَلَمُوۡا رَبَّنَاۤ اَخِّرۡنَاۤ اِلٰىۤ اَجَلٍ قَرِيۡبٍ ۙ نُّجِبۡ دَعۡوَتَكَ وَنَتَّبِعِ الرُّسُلَ ؕ اَوَلَمۡ تَكُوۡنُوۡۤا اَقۡسَمۡتُمۡ مِّنۡ قَبۡلُ مَا لَكُمۡ مِّنۡ زَوَالٍ ۙ ٤٤
14:44
And warn the people of a Day when the punishment will come to them and those who did wrong will say, "Our Lord, delay us for a short term; we will respond to Your call and follow the messengers." [But it will be said], "Had you not sworn before that there would be no departure for you?
وَسَكَنۡتُمۡ فِىۡ مَسٰكِنِ الَّذِيۡنَ ظَلَمُوۡۤا اَنۡفُسَهُمۡ وَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمۡ كَيۡفَ فَعَلۡنَا بِهِمۡ وَضَرَبۡنَا لَكُمُ الۡاَمۡثَالَ ٤٥
14:45
And you resided in the dwellings of those who had wronged themselves, and it became clear to you how We dealt with them, and We presented for you [many] examples."
وَقَدۡ مَكَرُوۡا مَكۡرَهُمۡ وَ عِنۡدَ اللّٰهِ مَكۡرُهُمۡ ؕ وَاِنۡ كَانَ مَكۡرُهُمۡ لِتَزُوۡلَ مِنۡهُ الۡجِبَالُ ٤٦
14:46
And they had planned their plan, but with Allah is [the consequence of] their plan, even if their plan had been [sufficient] to move mountains.
فَلَا تَحۡسَبَنَّ اللّٰهَ مُخۡلِفَ وَعۡدِهٖ رُسُلَهٗ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَزِيۡزٌ ذُو انۡتِقَامٍ ؕ ٤٧
14:47
So never think that Allah will fail to keep His promise to His messengers. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Owner of Retribution.
يَوۡمَ تُبَدَّلُ الۡاَرۡضُ غَيۡرَ الۡاَرۡضِ وَالسَّمٰوٰتُ وَ بَرَزُوۡا لِلّٰهِ الۡوٰحِدِ الۡقَهَّارِ ٤٨
14:48
[It will be] the Day the earth will be changed to a different earth, and the heavens [as well], and they will come forth before Allah, the One, the Irresistible.
وَتَرَى الۡمُجۡرِمِيۡنَ يَوۡمَئِذٍ مُّقَرَّنِيۡنَ فِىۡ الۡاَصۡفَادِ ۙ ٤٩
14:49
And you will see the criminals that Day bound together in shackles -
سَرَابِيۡلُهُمۡ مِّنۡ قَطِرَانٍ وَّ تَغۡشٰى وُجُوۡهَهُمُ النَّارُ ۙ ٥٠
14:50
Their garments of liquid pitch and their faces covered by fire.
لِيَجۡزِىَ اللّٰهُ كُلَّ نَفۡسٍ مَّا كَسَبَتۡ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ سَرِيۡعُ الۡحِسَابِ ٥١
14:51
That Allah may recompense every soul for what it earned. Indeed, Allah is swift in account.
هٰذَا بَلٰغٌ لِّلنَّاسِ وَلِيُنۡذَرُوۡا بِهٖ وَلِيَعۡلَمُوۡۤا اَنَّمَا هُوَ اِلٰهٌ وَّاحِدٌ وَّلِيَذَّكَّرَ اُولُوۡا الۡاَلۡبَابِ ٥٢
14:52
This is [the Qur'an] a message for mankind that they may be warned thereby and that they may know that He is but one God and that those of understanding will be reminded.
