Juz 24
(39:32 – 41:46)
فَمَنۡ اَظۡلَمُ مِمَّنۡ كَذَبَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ وَصَدَّقَ بِالصِّدۡقِ اِذۡ جَآءَهٗ ؕ اَلَيۡسَ فِىۡ جَهَنَّمَ مَثۡوًى لِّلۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ ٣٢
39:32
So who is more unjust than one who lies about Allah and denies the truth when it has come to him? Is there not in Hell a residence for the disbelievers?
وَالَّذِىۡ جَآءَ بِالصِّدۡقِ وَصَدَّقَ بِهٖۤ اُولٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الۡمُتَّقُوۡنَ ۚ ٣٣
39:33
And the one who has brought the truth and [those who] believed in it - those are the righteous.
لَهُمۡ مَّا يَشَآءُوۡنَ عِنۡدَ رَبِّهِمۡ ؕ ذٰلِكَ جَزَآءُ الۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَ ۚ ٣٤
39:34
They will have whatever they desire in the presence of their Lord. That is the reward of the doers of good.
لِيُكَفِّرَ اللّٰهُ عَنۡهُمۡ اَسۡوَاَ الَّذِىۡ عَمِلُوۡا وَيَجۡزِيَهُمۡ اَجۡرَهُمۡ بِاَحۡسَنِ الَّذِىۡ كَانُوۡا يَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ٣٥
39:35
That Allah may remove from them the worst of what they did and reward them their [due] for the best of what they used to do.
اَلَيۡسَ اللّٰهُ بِكَافٍ عَبۡدَهٗ ؕ وَيُخَوِّفُوۡنَكَ بِالَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِهٖ ؕ وَمَنۡ يُّضۡلِلِ اللّٰهُ فَمَا لَهٗ مِنۡ هَادٍ ۚ ٣٦
39:36
Is not Allah sufficient for His Servant [Prophet Muhammad]? And [yet] they threaten you with those [idols] besides Him. And whoever Allah leaves astray - for him there is no guide.
وَمَنۡ يَّهۡدِ اللّٰهُ فَمَا لَهٗ مِنۡ مُّضِلٍّ ؕ اَلَيۡسَ اللّٰهُ بِعَزِيۡزٍ ذِى انۡتِقَامٍ ٣٧
39:37
And whoever Allah guides - for him there is no misleader. Is not Allah Exalted in Might and Owner of Retribution?
وَلَئِنۡ سَاَلۡتَهُمۡ مَّنۡ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضَ لَيَقُوۡلُنَّ اللّٰهُ ؕ قُلۡ اَفَرَءَيۡتُمۡ مَّا تَدۡعُوۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ اِنۡ اَرَادَنِىَ اللّٰهُ بِضُرٍّ هَلۡ هُنَّ كٰشِفٰتُ ضُرِّهٖۤ اَوۡ اَرَادَنِىۡ بِرَحۡمَةٍ هَلۡ هُنَّ مُمۡسِكٰتُ رَحۡمَتِهٖ ؕ قُلۡ حَسۡبِىَ اللّٰهُ ؕ عَلَيۡهِ يَتَوَكَّلُ الۡمُتَوَكِّلُوۡنَ ٣٨
39:38
And if you asked them, "Who created the heavens and the earth?" they would surely say, "Allah." Say, "Then have you considered what you invoke besides Allah? If Allah intended me harm, could they remove His harm; or if He intended me mercy, could they withhold His mercy?" Say, "Sufficient for me is Allah; upon Him rely the [wise] reliers."
قُلۡ يٰقَوۡمِ اعۡمَلُوۡا عَلٰى مَكَانَتِكُمۡ اِنِّىۡ عَامِلٌ ۚ فَسَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ۙ ٣٩
39:39
Say, "O my people, work according to your position; indeed, I am working [according to mine]. And you are going to know
مَنۡ يَّاۡتِيۡهِ عَذَابٌ يُّخۡزِيۡهِ وَيَحِلُّ عَلَيۡهِ عَذَابٌ مُّقِيۡمٌ ٤٠
39:40
To whom will come a punishment disgracing him and upon whom will descend an enduring punishment."
اِنَّاۤ اَنۡزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ الۡكِتٰبَ لِلۡنَّاسِ بِالۡحَقِّ ۚ فَمَنِ اهۡتَدٰى فَلِنَفۡسِهٖ ۚ وَمَنۡ ضَلَّ فَاِنَّمَا يَضِلُّ عَلَيۡهَا ۚ وَمَاۤ اَنۡتَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ بِوَكِيۡلٍ ٤١
39:41
Indeed, We sent down to you the Book for the people in truth. So whoever is guided - it is for [the benefit of] his soul; and whoever goes astray only goes astray [to the detriment of] it. And you are not a manager over them.
اَللّٰهُ يَتَوَفَّى الۡاَنۡفُسَ حِيۡنَ مَوۡتِهَا وَالَّتِىۡ لَمۡ تَمُتۡ فِىۡ مَنَامِهَا ۚ فَيُمۡسِكُ الَّتِىۡ قَضٰى عَلَيۡهَا الۡمَوۡتَ وَيُرۡسِلُ الۡاُخۡرٰىۤ اِلٰٓى اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ؕ اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّقَوۡمٍ يَّتَفَكَّرُوۡنَ ٤٢
39:42
Allah takes the souls at the time of their death, and those that do not die [He takes] during their sleep. Then He keeps those for which He has decreed death and releases the others for a specified term. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.
اَمِ اتَّخَذُوۡا مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ شُفَعَآءَ ؕ قُلۡ اَوَلَوۡ كَانُوۡا لَا يَمۡلِكُوۡنَ شَيۡئًا وَّلَا يَعۡقِلُوۡنَ ٤٣
39:43
Or have they taken intercessors besides Allah? Say, "Even though they had power over nothing whatever and no intelligence?"
قُل لِّلّٰهِ الشَّفَاعَةُ جَمِيۡعًا ؕ لَهٗ مُلۡكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ ؕ ثُمَّ اِلَيۡهِ تُرۡجَعُوۡنَ ٤٤
39:44
Say, "To Allah belongs [the right to allow] intercession entirely. To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Then to Him will you be returned."
وَاِذَا ذُكِرَ اللّٰهُ وَحۡدَهُ اشۡمَاَزَّتۡ قُلُوۡبُ الَّذِيۡنَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِالۡاٰخِرَةِ ۚ وَاِذَا ذُكِرَ الَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِهٖۤ اِذَا هُمۡ يَسۡتَبۡشِرُوۡنَ ٤٥
39:45
And when Allah alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter shrink with aversion, but when those [worshiped] besides Him are mentioned, immediately they rejoice.
قُلِ اللّٰهُمَّ فَاطِرَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ عَالِمَ الۡغَيۡبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ اَنۡتَ تَحۡكُمُ بَيۡنَ عِبَادِكَ فِىۡ مَا كَانُوۡا فِيۡهِ يَخۡتَلِفُوۡنَ ٤٦
39:46
Say, "O Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, You will judge between your servants concerning that about which they used to differ."
وَلَوۡ اَنَّ لِلَّذِيۡنَ ظَلَمُوۡا مَا فِى الۡاَرۡضِ جَمِيۡعًا وَّمِثۡلَهٗ مَعَهُمۡ لَافۡتَدَوۡا بِهٖ مِنۡ سُوۡٓءِ الۡعَذَابِ يَوۡمَ الۡقِيٰمَةِ ؕ وَبَدَا لَهُمۡ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ مَا لَمۡ يَكُوۡنُوۡا يَحۡتَسِبُوۡنَ ٤٧
39:47
And if those who did wrong had all that is in the earth entirely and [even] the like of it with it, they would attempt to ransom themselves thereby from the evil of the punishment on the Day of Resurrection. And there will appear to them from Allah that which they had not taken into account.
وَبَدَا لَهُمۡ سَيِّاٰتُ مَا كَسَبُوۡا وَحَاقَ بِهِمۡ مَّا كَانُوۡا بِهٖ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُوۡنَ ٤٨
39:48
And there will appear to them the evils of what they had earned, and they will be encompassed by that which they used to ridicule.
فَاِذَا مَسَّ الۡاِنۡسَانَ ضُرٌّ دَعَانَا ثُمَّ اِذَا خَوَّلۡنٰهُ نِعۡمَةً مِّنَّا قَالَ اِنَّمَاۤ اُوۡتِيۡتُهٗ عَلٰى عِلۡمٍ ؕ بَلۡ هِىَ فِتۡنَةٌ وَّلٰكِنَّ اَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ٤٩
39:49
And when adversity touches man, he calls upon Us; then when We grant him a favor from Us, he says, "This has been given to me only because of [personal] knowledge." Rather, it is a trial, but most of them do not know.
قَدۡ قَالَهَا الَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِمۡ فَمَاۤ اَغۡنٰى عَنۡهُمۡ مَّا كَانُوۡا يَكۡسِبُوۡنَ ٥٠
39:50
Those before them had already said it, but whatever they earned did not avail them.
فَاَصَابَهُمۡ سَيِّاٰتُ مَا كَسَبُوۡا ؕ وَالَّذِيۡنَ ظَلَمُوۡا مِنۡ هٰٓؤُلَآءِ سَيُصِيۡبُهُمۡ سَيِّاٰتُ مَا كَسَبُوۡا ۙ وَمَا هُمۡ بِمُعۡجِزِيۡنَ ٥١
39:51
And the evil consequences of what they earned struck them. And those who have wronged among these [people] will be afflicted by the evil consequences of what they earned, and they will not be able to escape.
اَوَلَمۡ يَعۡلَمُوۡۤا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ يَبۡسُطُ الرِّزۡقَ لِمَنۡ يَّشَآءُ وَيَقۡدِرُ ؕ اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّقَوۡمٍ يُّؤۡمِنُوۡنَ ٥٢
39:52
Do they not know that Allah extends [provision] for whom He wills and restricts [it]? Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe.
قُلۡ يٰعِبَادِىَ الَّذِيۡنَ اَسۡرَفُوۡا عَلٰىۤ اَنۡفُسِهِمۡ لَا تَقۡنَطُوۡا مِنۡ رَّحۡمَةِ اللّٰهِ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَغۡفِرُ الذُّنُوۡبَ جَمِيۡعًا ؕ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ الۡغَفُوۡرُ الرَّحِيۡمُ ٥٣
39:53
Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."
وَاَنِيۡبُوۡۤا اِلٰى رَبِّكُمۡ وَاَسۡلِمُوۡا لَهٗ مِنۡ قَبۡلِ اَنۡ يَّاۡتِيَكُمُ الۡعَذَابُ ثُمَّ لَا تُنۡصَرُوۡنَ ٥٤
39:54
And return [in repentance] to your Lord and submit to Him before the punishment comes upon you; then you will not be helped.
وَاتَّبِعُوۡۤا اَحۡسَنَ مَاۤ اُنۡزِلَ اِلَيۡكُمۡ مِّنۡ رَّبِّكُمۡ مِّنۡ قَبۡلِ اَنۡ يَّاۡتِيَكُمُ الۡعَذَابُ بَغۡتَةً وَّاَنۡتُمۡ لَا تَشۡعُرُوۡنَ ۙ ٥٥
39:55
And follow the best of what was revealed to you from your Lord [i.e., the Qur'an] before the punishment comes upon you suddenly while you do not perceive.
اَنۡ تَقُوۡلَ نَفۡسٌ يّٰحَسۡرَتٰى عَلٰى مَا فَرَّطۡتُ فِىۡ جَنۡۢبِ اللّٰهِ وَاِنۡ كُنۡتُ لَمِنَ السَّاخِرِيۡنَ ۙ ٥٦
39:56
[Lest] a soul should say, "Oh, [how great is] my regret over what I neglected in regard to [the obedience of] Allah and that I was among the mockers."
اَوۡ تَقُوۡلَ لَوۡ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ هَدٰٮنِىۡ لَكُنۡتُ مِنَ الۡمُتَّقِيۡنَ ۙ ٥٧
39:57
Or [lest] it say, "If only Allah had guided me, I would have been among the righteous."
اَوۡ تَقُوۡلَ حِيۡنَ تَرَى الۡعَذَابَ لَوۡ اَنَّ لِىۡ كَرَّةً فَاَكُوۡنَ مِنَ الۡمُحۡسِنِيۡنَ ٥٨
39:58
Or [lest] it say when it sees the punishment, "If only I had another chance that I might be among the doers of good."
بَلٰى قَدۡ جَآءَتۡكَ اٰيٰتِىۡ فَكَذَّبۡتَ بِهَا وَاسۡتَكۡبَرۡتَ وَكُنۡتَ مِنَ الۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ ٥٩
39:59
[The reply will be], "No, rather, there had come to you My signs, but you denied them and were arrogant, and became among the disbelievers."
وَيَوۡمَ الۡقِيٰمَةِ تَرَى الَّذِيۡنَ كَذَبُوۡا عَلَى اللّٰهِ وُجُوۡهُهُمۡ مُّسۡوَدَّةٌ ؕ اَلَيۡسَ فِىۡ جَهَنَّمَ مَثۡوًى لِّلۡمُتَكَبِّرِيۡنَ ٦٠
39:60
And on the Day of Resurrection you will see those who lied about Allah [with] their faces darkened. Is there not in Hell a residence for the arrogant?
وَيُنَجِّى اللّٰهُ الَّذِيۡنَ اتَّقَوۡا بِمَفَازَتِهِمۡ ۚ لَا يَمَسُّهُمُ السُّوۡٓءُ وَلَا هُمۡ يَحۡزَنُوۡنَ ٦١
39:61
And Allah will save those who feared Him by their attainment [of Paradise]; no evil will touch them, nor will they grieve.
اللّٰهُ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ وَّهُوَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ وَّكِيۡلٌ ؕ ٦٢
39:62
Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is, over all things, Disposer of affairs.
لَهٗ مَقَالِيۡدُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ ؕ وَالَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ اُولٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الۡخَاسِرُوۡنَ ٦٣
39:63
To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth. And those who disbelieve in the signs of Allah - it is those who are the losers.
قُلۡ اَفَغَيۡرَ اللّٰهِ تَاۡمُرُوۡٓنِّىۡۤ اَعۡبُدُ اَيُّهَا الۡجٰهِلُوۡنَ ٦٤
39:64
Say, [O Muhammad], "Is it other than Allah that you order me to worship, O ignorant ones?"
وَلَقَدۡ اُوۡحِىَ اِلَيۡكَ وَاِلَى الَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِكَ ۚ لَئِنۡ اَشۡرَكۡتَ لَيَحۡبَطَنَّ عَمَلُكَ وَلَتَكُوۡنَنَّ مِنَ الۡخٰسِرِيۡنَ ۚ ٦٥
39:65
And it was already revealed to you and to those before you that if you should associate [anything] with Allah, your work would surely become worthless, and you would surely be among the losers.
بَلِ اللّٰهَ فَاعۡبُدۡ وَكُنۡ مِّنَ الشّٰكِرِيۡنَ ٦٦
39:66
Rather, worship Allah and be among the grateful.
وَمَا قَدَرُوۡا اللّٰهَ حَقَّ قَدۡرِهٖ ؕ وَالۡاَرۡضُ جَمِيۡعًا قَبۡضَتُهٗ يَوۡمَ الۡقِيٰمَةِ وَالسَّمٰوٰتُ مَطۡوِيّٰتٌ ۢ بِيَمِيۡنِهٖ ؕ سُبۡحٰنَهٗ وَتَعٰلٰى عَمَّا يُشۡرِكُوۡنَ ٦٧
39:67
And they did not appraise Allah with true appraisal. While the entire earth will be in His grip on the Day of Resurrection, and the heavens will be rolled up in His right hand. Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him.
وَنُفِخَ فِىۡ الصُّوۡرِ فَصَعِقَ مَنۡ فِىۡ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَنۡ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ اِلَّا مَنۡ شَآءَ اللّٰهُ ؕ ثُمَّ نُفِخَ فِيۡهِ اُخۡرٰى فَاِذَا هُمۡ قِيَامٌ يَّنۡظُرُوۡنَ ٦٨
39:68
And the Horn will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will fall dead, except whom Allah wills. Then it will be blown again, and suddenly they will be standing, looking on.
وَاَشۡرَقَتِ الۡاَرۡضُ بِنُوۡرِ رَبِّهَا وَوُضِعَ الۡكِتٰبُ وَجِاىۡٓءَ بِالنَّبِيّٖنَ وَالشُّهَدَآءِ وَقُضِىَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ بِالۡحَقِّ وَهُمۡ لَا يُظۡلَمُوۡنَ ٦٩
39:69
And the earth will shine with the light of its Lord, and the record [of deeds] will be placed, and the prophets and the witnesses will be brought, and it will be judged between them in truth, and they will not be wronged.
وَوُفِّيَتۡ كُلُّ نَفۡسٍ مَّا عَمِلَتۡ وَهُوَ اَعۡلَمُ بِمَا يَفۡعَلُوۡنَ ٧٠
39:70
And every soul will be fully compensated for what it did, and He is most knowing of what they do.
وَسِيۡقَ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡۤا اِلٰى جَهَنَّمَ زُمَرًا ؕ حَتّٰىۤ اِذَا جَآءُوۡهَا فُتِحَتۡ اَبۡوَابُهَا وَقَالَ لَهُمۡ خَزَنَتُهَاۤ اَلَمۡ يَاۡتِكُمۡ رُسُلٌ مِّنۡكُمۡ يَتۡلُوۡنَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ اٰيٰتِ رَبِّكُمۡ وَيُنۡذِرُوۡنَكُمۡ لِقَآءَ يَوۡمِكُمۡ هٰذَا ؕ قَالُوۡا بَلٰى وَلٰكِنۡ حَقَّتۡ كَلِمَةُ الۡعَذَابِ عَلَى الۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ ٧١
39:71
And those who disbelieved will be driven to Hell in groups until, when they reach it and its gates are opened, its keepers will say, "Did there not come to you messengers from yourselves, reciting to you the verses of your Lord and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say, "Yes, but the word [i.e., decree] of punishment has come into effect upon the disbelievers."
قِيۡلَ ادۡخُلُوۡۤا اَبۡوَابَ جَهَنَّمَ خٰلِدِيۡنَ فِيۡهَا ۚ فَبِئۡسَ مَثۡوَى الۡمُتَكَبِّرِيۡنَ ٧٢
39:72
It will be said, "Enter the gates of Hell to abide eternally therein, and wretched is the residence of the arrogant."
وَسِيۡقَ الَّذِيۡنَ اتَّقَوۡا رَبَّهُمۡ اِلَى الۡجَـنَّةِ زُمَرًا ؕ حَتّٰىۤ اِذَا جَآءُوۡهَا وَفُتِحَتۡ اَبۡوَابُهَا وَقَالَ لَهُمۡ خَزَنَتُهَا سَلٰمٌ عَلَيۡكُمۡ طِبۡتُمۡ فَادۡخُلُوۡهَا خٰلِدِيۡنَ ٧٣
39:73
But those who feared their Lord will be driven to Paradise in groups until, when they reach it while its gates have been opened and its keepers say to them, "Peace be upon you; you have become pure; so enter it to abide eternally therein," [they will enter].
وَقَالُوۡا الۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِىۡ صَدَقَنَا وَعۡدَهٗ وَاَوۡرَثَنَا الۡاَرۡضَ نَتَبَوَّاُ مِنَ الۡجَنَّةِ حَيۡثُ نَشَآءُ ؕ فَنِعۡمَ اَجۡرُ الۡعٰمِلِيۡنَ ٧٤
39:74
And they will say, "Praise to Allah, who has fulfilled for us His promise and made us inherit the earth [of Paradise] - we may settle in Paradise wherever we will. And excellent is the reward of the [righteous] workers."
وَتَرَى الۡمَلٰٓئِكَةَ حَآفِّيۡنَ مِنۡ حَوۡلِ الۡعَرۡشِ يُسَبِّحُوۡنَ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّهِمۡ ۚ وَقُضِىَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ بِالۡحَقِّ وَقِيۡلَ الۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ ٧٥
39:75
And you will see the angels surrounding the Throne, glorifying [Allah] with praise of their Lord. And it will be judged between them in truth, and it will be said, "Praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds."
حٰمٓ ١
40:1
Ḥā. Mīm.
تَنۡزِيۡلُ الۡكِتٰبِ مِنَ اللّٰهِ الۡعَزِيۡزِ الۡعَلِيۡمِ ۙ ٢
40:2
The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Knowing,
غَافِرِ الذَّنۡۢبِ وَقَابِلِ التَّوۡبِ شَدِيۡدِ الۡعِقَابِ ذِى الطَّوۡلِ ؕ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ ؕ اِلَيۡهِ الۡمَصِيۡرُ ٣
40:3
The forgiver of sin, acceptor of repentance, severe in punishment, owner of abundance. There is no deity except Him; to Him is the [final] destination.
مَا يُجَادِلُ فِىۡۤ اٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ اِلَّا الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا فَلَا يَغۡرُرۡكَ تَقَلُّبُهُمۡ فِىۡ الۡبِلَادِ ٤
40:4
No one disputes concerning the signs of Allah except those who disbelieve, so let not their [uneventful] activity throughout the lands deceive you.
كَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوۡحٍ وَّالۡاَحۡزَابُ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ ۚ وَهَمَّتۡ كُلُّ اُمَّةٍ ۢ بِرَسُوۡلِهِمۡ لِيَاۡخُذُوۡهُ وَجَادَلُوۡا بِالۡبَاطِلِ لِيُدۡحِضُوۡا بِهِ الۡحَقَّ فَاَخَذۡتُهُمۡ ۚ فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ ٥
40:5
The people of Noah denied before them, and the [disbelieving] factions after them. And every nation intended [harm to] their messenger to seize him, and they disputed by [using] falsehood to refute with it the truth. So I seized them, and how [terrible] was My penalty.
وَكَذٰلِكَ حَقَّتۡ كَلِمَةُ رَبِّكَ عَلَى الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡۤا اَنَّهُمۡ اَصۡحٰبُ النَّارِ ٦
40:6
And thus the word of your Lord proved true upon those who disbelieved - that they are the companions of the Fire.
الَّذِيۡنَ يَحۡمِلُوۡنَ الۡعَرۡشَ وَمَنۡ حَوۡلَهٗ يُسَبِّحُوۡنَ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَيُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِهٖ وَيَسۡتَغۡفِرُوۡنَ لِلَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَسِعۡتَ كُلَّ شَىۡءٍ رَّحۡمَةً وَّعِلۡمًا فَاغۡفِرۡ لِلَّذِيۡنَ تَابُوۡا وَاتَّبَعُوۡا سَبِيۡلَكَ وَقِهِمۡ عَذَابَ الۡجَحِيۡمِ ۙ ٧
40:7
Those [angels] who carry the Throne and those around it exalt [Allah] with praise of their Lord and believe in Him and ask forgiveness for those who have believed, [saying], "Our Lord, You have encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who have repented and followed Your way and protect them from the punishment of Hellfire.
رَبَّنَا وَاَدۡخِلۡهُمۡ جَنّٰتِ عَدۡنِۨ الَّتِىۡ وَعَدتَّهُمۡ وَمَنۡ صَلَحَ مِنۡ اٰبَآئِهِمۡ وَاَزۡوَاجِهِمۡ وَذُرِّيّٰتِهِمۡ ؕ اِنَّكَ اَنۡتَ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الۡحَكِيۡمُ ۙ ٨
40:8
Our Lord, and admit them to gardens of perpetual residence which You have promised them and whoever was righteous among their fathers, their spouses and their offspring. Indeed, it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
وَقِهِمُ السَّيِّاٰتِ ؕ وَمَنۡ تَقِ السَّيِّاٰتِ يَوۡمَئِذٍ فَقَدۡ رَحِمۡتَهٗ ؕ وَذٰلِكَ هُوَ الۡفَوۡزُ الۡعَظِيۡمُ ٩
40:9
And protect them from the evil consequences [of their deeds]. And he whom You protect from evil consequences that Day - You will have bestowed mercy upon him. And that is the great attainment."
اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا يُنَادَوۡنَ لَمَقۡتُ اللّٰهِ اَكۡبَرُ مِنۡ مَّقۡتِكُمۡ اَنۡفُسَكُمۡ اِذۡ تُدۡعَوۡنَ اِلَى الۡاِيۡمَانِ فَتَكۡفُرُوۡنَ ١٠
40:10
Indeed, those who disbelieve will be addressed, "The hatred of Allah for you when you were called to faith and refused is greater than your hatred of yourselves [today]."
قَالُوۡا رَبَّنَاۤ اَمَتَّنَا اثۡنَتَيۡنِ وَاَحۡيَيۡتَنَا اثۡنَتَيۡنِ فَاعۡتَرَفۡنَا بِذُنُوۡبِنَا فَهَلۡ اِلٰى خُرُوۡجٍ مِّنۡ سَبِيۡلٍ ١١
40:11
They will say, "Our Lord, You caused us to die two times and gave us life two times, and we have confessed our sins. So is there any way for us to exit [the Fire]?"
ذٰلِكُمۡ بِاَنَّهٗۤ اِذَا دُعِىَ اللّٰهُ وَحۡدَهٗ كَفَرۡتُمۡ ۚ وَاِنۡ يُّشۡرَكۡ بِهٖ تُؤۡمِنُوۡا ؕ فَالۡحُكۡمُ لِلّٰهِ الۡعَلِىِّ الۡكَبِيۡرِ ١٢
40:12
[They will be answered], "That is because, when Allah was called upon alone, you disbelieved; but if others were associated with Him, you believed. So the judgment is with Allah, the Exalted, the Grand."
هُوَ الَّذِىۡ يُرِيۡكُمۡ اٰيٰتِهٖ وَيُنَزِّلُ لَكُمۡ مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ رِزۡقًا ؕ وَمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ اِلَّا مَنۡ يُّنِيۡبُ ١٣
40:13
It is He who shows you His signs and sends down to you from the sky provision. But none will remember except he who turns to Allah [in repentance].
فَادۡعُوۡا اللّٰهَ مُخۡلِصِيۡنَ لَهُ الدِّيۡنَ وَلَوۡ كَرِهَ الۡكٰفِرُوۡنَ ١٤
40:14
So supplicate Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion, although the disbelievers dislike it.
رَفِيۡعُ الدَّرَجٰتِ ذُوۡ الۡعَرۡشِ ۚ يُلۡقِى الرُّوۡحَ مِنۡ اَمۡرِهٖ عَلٰى مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ مِنۡ عِبَادِهٖ لِيُنۡذِرَ يَوۡمَ التَّلَاقِ ۙ ١٥
40:15
[He is] the Exalter of ranks, Owner of the Throne; He casts the inspiration [i.e., revelation] of His command upon whomever He wills of His servants to warn [people] of the Day of Meeting -
يَوۡمَ هُمۡ بٰرِزُوۡنَ ۫ لَا يَخۡفٰى عَلَى اللّٰهِ مِنۡهُمۡ شَىۡءٌ ؕ لِمَنِ الۡمُلۡكُ الۡيَوۡمَ ؕ لِلّٰهِ الۡوَاحِدِ الۡقَهَّارِ ١٦
40:16
The Day they will come forth, nothing concerning them will be concealed from Allah. To whom belongs [all] sovereignty this Day? To Allah, the One, the Irresistible.
الۡيَوۡمَ تُجۡزٰى كُلُّ نَفۡسٍ ۢ بِمَا كَسَبَتۡ ؕ لَا ظُلۡمَ الۡيَوۡمَ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ سَرِيۡعُ الۡحِسَابِ ١٧
40:17
This Day every soul will be recompensed for what it earned. No injustice today! Indeed, Allah is swift in account.
وَاَنۡذِرۡهُمۡ يَوۡمَ الۡاٰزِفَةِ اِذِ الۡقُلُوۡبُ لَدَى الۡحَنَاجِرِ كٰظِمِيۡنَ ؕ مَا لِلظّٰلِمِيۡنَ مِنۡ حَمِيۡمٍ وَّلَا شَفِيۡعٍ يُّطَاعُ ١٨
40:18
And warn them, [O Muhammad], of the Day approaching, when hearts will be at the throats, filled [with distress]. For the wrongdoers there will be no devoted friend among the relatives and no intercessor whose argument is accepted.
يَعۡلَمُ خَآئِنَةَ الۡاَعۡيُنِ وَمَا تُخۡفِىۡ الصُّدُوۡرُ ١٩
40:19
He knows [the details of] every目を of deceit and what the breasts conceal.
وَاللّٰهُ يَقۡضِىۡ بِالۡحَقِّ ؕ وَالَّذِيۡنَ يَدۡعُوۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِهٖ لَا يَقۡضُوۡنَ بِشَىۡءٍ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ السَّمِيۡعُ الۡبَصِيۡرُ ٢٠
40:20
And Allah judges with truth, while those they invoke besides Him judge not with anything. Indeed, Allah is the Hearing, the Seeing.
اَوَلَمۡ يَسِيۡرُوۡا فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ فَيَنۡظُرُوۡا كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِيۡنَ كَانُوۡا مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِمۡ ؕ كَانُوۡا هُمۡ اَشَدَّ مِنۡهُمۡ قُوَّةً وَّاٰثَارًا فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ فَاَخَذَهُمُ اللّٰهُ بِذُنُوۡبِهِمۡ ؕ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُمۡ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ مِنۡ وَّاقٍ ٢١
40:21
Have they not traveled through the earth and observed how was the end of those who were before them? They were greater than them in strength and in traces on the earth. But Allah seized them for their sins, and they had none to protect them from Allah.
ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمۡ كَانَتۡ تَّاۡتِيۡهِمۡ رُسُلُهُمۡ بِالۡبَيِّنٰتِ فَكَفَرُوۡا فَاَخَذَهُمُ اللّٰهُ ؕ اِنَّهٗ قَوِىٌّ شَدِيۡدُ الۡعِقَابِ ٢٢
40:22
That was because their messengers used to come to them with clear evidences, but they disbelieved, so Allah seized them. Indeed, He is Powerful and severe in punishment.
وَلَقَدۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَا مُوۡسٰى بِاٰيٰتِنَا وَسُلۡطٰنٍ مُّبِيۡنٍ ۙ ٢٣
40:23
And We did certainly send Moses with Our signs and a clear authority
اِلٰى فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَهَامٰنَ وَقَارُوۡنَ فَقَالُوۡا سَاحِرٌ كَذَّابٌ ٢٤
40:24
To Pharaoh, Haman, and Qarun; but they said, "[He is] a lying magician."
فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمۡ بِالۡحَقِّ مِنۡ عِنۡدِنَا قَالُوۡا اقۡتُلُوۡۤا اَبۡنَآءَ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا مَعَهٗ وَاسۡتَحۡيُوۡا نِسَآءَهُمۡ ؕ وَمَا كَيۡدُ الۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ اِلَّا فِىۡ ضَلٰلٍ ٢٥
40:25
And when he brought them the truth from Us, they said, "Kill the sons of those who believed with him and keep their women alive." But the plot of the disbelievers is not but in error.
وَقَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ ذَرُوۡنِىۡۤ اَقۡتُلۡ مُوۡسٰى وَلۡيَدۡعُ رَبَّهٗ ۚ اِنِّىۡۤ اَخَافُ اَنۡ يُّبَدِّلَ دِيۡنَكُمۡ اَوۡ اَنۡ يُّظۡهِرَ فِى الۡاَرۡضِ الۡفَسَادَ ٢٦
40:26
And Pharaoh said, "Let me kill Moses and let him call upon his Lord. Indeed, I fear that he will change your religion or that he will cause corruption in the land."
وَقَالَ مُوۡسٰىۤ اِنِّىۡ عُذۡتُ بِرَبِّىۡ وَرَبِّكُمۡ مِّنۡ كُلِّ مُتَكَبِّرٍ لَّا يُؤۡمِنُ بِيَوۡمِ الۡحِسَابِ ٢٧
40:27
And Moses said, "Indeed, I have sought refuge in my Lord and your Lord from every arrogant one who does not believe in the Day of Account."
وَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مُّؤۡمِنٌ مِّنۡ اٰلِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ يَكۡتُمُ اِيۡمَانَهٗۤ اَتَقۡتُلُوۡنَ رَجُلًا اَنۡ يَّقُوۡلَ رَبِّيَ اللّٰهُ وَقَدۡ جَآءَكُمۡ بِالۡبَيِّنٰتِ مِنۡ رَّبِّكُمۡ ؕ وَاِنۡ يَّكُ كَاذِبًا فَعَلَيۡهِ كَذِبُهٗ ۚ وَاِنۡ يَّكُ صَادِقًا يُّصِبۡكُمۡ بَعۡضُ الَّذِىۡ يَعِدُكُمۡ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يَهۡدِىۡ مَنۡ هُوَ مُسۡرِفٌ كَذَّابٌ ٢٨
40:28
And a believing man from the family of Pharaoh who concealed his faith said, "Are you going to kill a man because he says, 'My Lord is Allah' while he has brought you clear proofs from your Lord? And if he should be lying, then upon him is [the consequence of] his lie; but if he should be truthful, there will strike you some of [the consequence of] what he promises you. Indeed, Allah does not guide one who is a transgressor and a liar.
يٰقَوۡمِ لَكُمُ الۡمُلۡكُ الۡيَوۡمَ ظَاهِرِيۡنَ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ فَمَنۡ يَّنۡصُرُنَا مِنۡۢ بَاۡسِ اللّٰهِ اِنۡ جَآءَنَا ؕ قَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ مَاۤ اُرِيۡكُمۡ اِلَّا مَاۤ اَرٰى وَمَاۤ اَهۡدِيۡكُمۡ اِلَّا سَبِيۡلَ الرَّشَادِ ٢٩
40:29
O my people, sovereignty is yours today, [being] dominant in the land. But who would protect us from the punishment of Allah if it came to us?" Pharaoh said, "I do not show you except what I see [to be correct], and I do not guide you except to the way of right conduct."
وَقَالَ الَّذِىۡۤ اٰمَنَ يٰقَوۡمِ اِنِّىۡۤ اَخَافُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ مِّثۡلَ يَوۡمِ الۡاَحۡزَابِ ۙ ٣٠
40:30
And the one who believed said, "O my people, indeed I fear for you [a fate] like the day of the confederates -
مِثۡلَ دَاۡبِ قَوۡمِ نُوۡحٍ وَّعَادٍ وَّثَمُوۡدَ وَّالَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ ؕ وَمَا اللّٰهُ يُرِيۡدُ ظُلۡمًا لِّلۡعِبَادِ ٣١
40:31
Like the custom of the people of Noah and 'Aad and Thamūd and those after them. And Allah does not intend injustice for [His] servants.
وَيٰقَوۡمِ اِنِّىۡۤ اَخَافُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ يَوۡمَ التَّنَادِ ۙ ٣٢
40:32
And O my people, indeed I fear for you the Day of Calling Out -
يَوۡمَ تُوَلُّوۡنَ مُدۡبِرِيۡنَ ۚ مَا لَكُمۡ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ مِنۡ عَاصِمٍ ؕ وَمَنۡ يُضۡلِلِ اللّٰهُ فَمَا لَهٗ مِنۡ هَادٍ ٣٣
40:33
The Day you will turn your backs fleeing; there will be for you no protector from Allah. And whomsoever Allah leaves astray - there is for him no guide.
وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَكُمۡ يُوۡسُفُ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ بِالۡبَيِّنٰتِ فَمَا زِلۡتُمۡ فِىۡ شَكٍّ مِّمَّا جَآءَكُمۡ بِهٖ ؕ حَتّٰىۤ اِذَا هَلَكَ قُلۡتُمۡ لَنۡ يَّبۡعَثَ اللّٰهُ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِهٖ رَسُوۡلًا ؕ كَذٰلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللّٰهُ مَنۡ هُوَ مُسۡرِفٌ مُّرۡتَابٌ ۙ ٣٤
40:34
And Joseph had certainly come to you before with clear proofs, but you remained in doubt concerning that which he brought you. Until, when he died, you said, 'Never will Allah send after him a messenger.' Thus does Allah leave astray he who is a transgressor and skeptic."
الَّذِيۡنَ يُجَادِلُوۡنَ فِىۡۤ اٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ بِغَيۡرِ سُلۡطٰنٍ اَتٰٮهُمۡ ؕ كَبُرَ مَقۡتًا عِنۡدَ اللّٰهِ وَعِنۡدَ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا ؕ كَذٰلِكَ يَطۡبَعُ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى كُلِّ قَلۡبِ مُتَكَبِّرٍ جَبَّارٍ ٣٥
40:35
Those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah without any authority having come to them - great is hatred [of it] in the sight of Allah and in the sight of those who have believed. Thus does Allah seal over every heart [belonging to] an arrogant tyrant.
وَقَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ يٰهَامٰنُ ابۡنِ لِىۡ صَرۡحًا لَّعَلِّىۡۤ اَبۡلُغُ الۡاَسۡبَابَ ۙ ٣٦
40:36
And Pharaoh said, "O Haman, construct for me a tower that I might reach the ways -
اَسۡبَابَ السَّمٰوٰتِ فَاَطَّلِعَ اِلٰى اِلٰهِ مُوۡسٰى وَاِنِّىۡ لَاَظُنُّهٗ كَاذِبًا ؕ وَكَذٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِفِرۡعَوۡنَ سُوۡٓءُ عَمَلِهٖ وَصُدَّ عَنِ السَّبِيۡلِ ؕ وَمَا كَيۡدُ فِرۡعَوۡنَ اِلَّا فِىۡ تَبَابٍ ٣٧
40:37
The ways of the heavens - so that I may look upon the God of Moses; but indeed, I think he is a liar." And thus was made attractive to Pharaoh the evil of his deed, and he was averted from the [right] way. And the plot of Pharaoh was not but in ruin.
وَقَالَ الَّذِىۡۤ اٰمَنَ يٰقَوۡمِ اتَّبِعُوۡنِ اَهۡدِكُمۡ سَبِيۡلَ الرَّشَادِ ؕ ٣٨
40:38
And the one who believed said, "O my people, follow me, I will guide you to the way of right conduct.
يٰقَوۡمِ اِنَّمَا هٰذِهِ الۡحَيٰوةُ الدُّنۡيَا مَتَاعٌ ۖ وَّاِنَّ الۡاٰخِرَةَ هِىَ دَارُ الۡقَرَارِ ٣٩
40:39
O my people, this worldly life is only [temporary] enjoyment, and indeed, the Hereafter - that is the home of [permanent] settlement.
مَنۡ عَمِلَ سَيِّئَةً فَلَا يُجۡزٰۤى اِلَّا مِثۡلَهَا ۚ وَمَنۡ عَمِلَ صٰلِحًا مِّنۡ ذَكَرٍ اَوۡ اُنۡثٰى وَهُوَ مُؤۡمِنٌ فَاُولٰٓئِكَ يَدۡخُلُوۡنَ الۡجَنَّةَ يُرۡزَقُوۡنَ فِيۡهَا بِغَيۡرِ حِسَابٍ ٤٠
40:40
Whoever does an evil deed will not be recompensed except by the like thereof; but whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - those will enter Paradise, receiving provision therein without account.
وَيٰقَوۡمِ مَا لِىۡۤ اَدۡعُوۡكُمۡ اِلَى النَّجٰوةِ وَتَدۡعُوۡنَنِىۡۤ اِلَى النَّارِ ٤١
40:41
And O my people, how is it that I invite you to salvation while you invite me to the Fire?
تَدۡعُوۡنَنِىۡ لِاَكۡفُرَ بِاللّٰهِ وَاُشۡرِكَ بِهٖ مَا لَيۡسَ لِىۡ بِهٖ عِلۡمٌ ۚ وَاَنَا۠ اَدۡعُوۡكُمۡ اِلَى الۡعَزِيۡزِ الۡغَفَّارِ ٤٢
40:42
You invite me to disbelieve in Allah and associate with Him that of which I have no knowledge, and I invite you to the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver.
لَا جَرَمَ اَنَّمَا تَدۡعُوۡنَنِىۡۤ اِلَيۡهِ لَيۡسَ لَهٗ دَعۡوَةٌ فِىۡ الدُّنۡيَا وَلَا فِىۡ الۡاٰخِرَةِ ۙ وَاَنَّ مَرَدَّنَاۤ اِلَى اللّٰهِ وَاَنَّ الۡمُسۡرِفِيۡنَ هُمۡ اَصۡحٰبُ النَّارِ ٤٣
40:43
Assuredly, what you call me to has no [basis for] appeal in this world or in the Hereafter, and indeed, our return is to Allah, and indeed, the transgressors will be companions of the Fire.
فَسَتَذۡكُرُوۡنَ مَاۤ اَقُوۡلُ لَكُمۡ ؕ وَاُفَوِّضُ اَمۡرِىۡۤ اِلَى اللّٰهِ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ بَصِيۡرٌ ۢ بِالۡعِبَادِ ٤٤
40:44
And you will remember what I [now] say to you, and I entrust my affair to Allah. Indeed, Allah is Seeing of [His] servants."
فَوَقٰٮهُ اللّٰهُ سَيِّاٰتِ مَا مَكَرُوۡا وَحَاقَ بِاٰلِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ سُوۡٓءُ الۡعَذَابِ ۙ ٤٥
40:45
So Allah protected him from the evil consequences of what they plotted, and the worst of punishment encompassed the people of Pharaoh -
النَّارُ يُعۡرَضُوۡنَ عَلَيۡهَا غُدُوًّا وَّعَشِيًّا ؕ وَيَوۡمَ تَقُوۡمُ السَّاعَةُ اَدۡخِلُوۡۤا اٰلَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ اَشَدَّ الۡعَذَابِ ٤٦
40:46
The Fire, they are exposed to it morning and afternoon. And the Day the Hour appears [it will be said], "Admit the people of Pharaoh to the severest punishment!"
وَاِذۡ يَتَحَآجُّوۡنَ فِىۡ النَّارِ فَيَقُوۡلُ الضُّعَفٰٓؤُا لِلَّذِيۡنَ اسۡتَكۡبَرُوۡۤا اِنَّا كُنَّا لَكُمۡ تَبَعًا فَهَلۡ اَنۡتُمۡ مُّغۡنُوۡنَ عَنَّا نَصِيۡبًا مِّنَ النَّارِ ٤٧
40:47
And [mention] when they will dispute in the Fire and the weak will say to those who were arrogant, "Indeed, we were in the world following you, so will you [now] relieve us of a portion of the Fire?"
قَالَ الَّذِيۡنَ اسۡتَكۡبَرُوۡۤا اِنَّا كُلٌّ فِيۡهَاۤ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ قَدۡ حَكَمَ بَيۡنَ الۡعِبَادِ ٤٨
40:48
Those who were arrogant will say, "Indeed, all [of us] are in it. Indeed, Allah has judged between the servants."
وَقَالَ الَّذِيۡنَ فِىۡ النَّارِ لِخَزَنَةِ جَهَنَّمَ ادۡعُوۡا رَبَّكُمۡ يُخَفِّفۡ عَنَّا يَوۡمًا مِّنَ الۡعَذَابِ ٤٩
40:49
And those in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell, "Supplicate your Lord to lighten for us one day from the punishment."
قَالُوۡۤا اَوَلَمۡ تَكُ تَاۡتِيۡكُمۡ رُسُلُكُمۡ بِالۡبَيِّنٰتِ ؕ قَالُوۡا بَلٰى ؕ قَالُوۡا فَادۡعُوۡا ۚ وَمَا دُعٰٓؤُا الۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ اِلَّا فِىۡ ضَلٰلٍ ٥٠
40:50
They will say, "Did there not come to you your messengers with clear evidences?" They will say, "Yes." They will reply, "Then supplicate [yourselves], but the supplication of the disbelievers is not but in error."
اِنَّا لَنَنۡصُرُ رُسُلَنَا وَالَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا فِىۡ الۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَا وَيَوۡمَ يَقُوۡمُ الۡاَشۡهَادُ ۙ ٥١
40:51
Indeed, We will support Our messengers and those who believe during the worldly life and on the Day when the witnesses will stand -
يَوۡمَ لَا يَنۡفَعُ الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ مَعۡذِرَتُهُمۡ ۖ وَلَهُمُ الۡلَّعۡنَةُ وَلَهُمۡ سُوۡٓءُ الدَّارِ ٥٢
40:52
The Day their excuse will not benefit the wrongdoers, and they will have the curse and they will have the worst home.
وَلَقَدۡ اٰتَيۡنَا مُوۡسَى الۡهُدٰى وَاَوۡرَثۡنَا بَنِىۡۤ اِسۡرَآءِيۡلَ الۡكِتٰبَ ۙ ٥٣
40:53
And We certainly gave Moses guidance, and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit the Scripture
هُدًى وَّذِكۡرٰى لِاُولِى الۡاَلۡبَابِ ٥٤
40:54
As guidance and a reminder for those of understanding.
فَاصۡبِرۡ اِنَّ وَعۡدَ اللّٰهِ حَقٌّ وَّاسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لِذَنۡۢبِكَ وَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ بِالۡعَشِىِّ وَالۡاِبۡكَارِ ٥٥
40:55
So be patient, [O Muhammad]. Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth. And ask forgiveness for your sin and exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord in the evening and the morning.
اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ يُجَادِلُوۡنَ فِىۡۤ اٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ بِغَيۡرِ سُلۡطٰنٍ اَتٰٮهُمۡ ۙ اِنۡ فِىۡ صُدُوۡرِهِمۡ اِلَّا كِبۡرٌ مَّا هُمۡ بِبَالِغِيۡهِ ۚ فَاسۡتَعِذۡ بِاللّٰهِ ؕ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ السَّمِيۡعُ الۡبَصِيۡرُ ٥٦
40:56
Indeed, those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah without [any] authority having come to them - nothing is in their breasts except pride, which they will not attain. So seek refuge in Allah. Indeed, it is He who is the Hearing, the Seeing.
لَخَلۡقُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ اَكۡبَرُ مِنۡ خَلۡقِ النَّاسِ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكۡثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ٥٧
40:57
The creation of the heavens and earth is greater than the creation of mankind, but most of the people do not know.
وَمَا يَسۡتَوِى الۡاَعۡمٰى وَالۡبَصِيۡرُ ۙ وَالَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ وَلَا الۡمُسِىۡٓءُ ؕ قَلِيۡلًا مَّا تَتَذَكَّرُوۡنَ ٥٨
40:58
And not equal are the blind and the seeing, nor are those who believe and do righteous deeds and the doer of evil. Little do you remember.
اِنَّ السَّاعَةَ لَاٰتِيَةٌ لَّا رَيۡبَ فِيۡهَا وَلٰكِنَّ اَكۡثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ ٥٩
40:59
Indeed, the Hour is coming - no doubt about it - but most of the people do not believe.
وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادۡعُوۡنِىۡۤ اَسۡتَجِبۡ لَكُمۡ ؕ اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ يَسۡتَكۡبِرُوۡنَ عَنۡ عِبَادَتِىۡ سَيَدۡخُلُوۡنَ جَهَنَّمَ دَاخِرِيۡنَ ٦٠
40:60
And your Lord says, "Call upon Me; I will respond to you." Indeed, those who are too arrogant to worship Me will enter Hell humiliated.
اللّٰهُ الَّذِىۡ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الَّيۡلَ لِتَسۡكُنُوۡا فِيۡهِ وَالنَّهَارَ مُبۡصِرًا ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَذُوۡ فَضۡلٍ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكۡثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَشۡكُرُوۡنَ ٦١
40:61
It is Allah who made for you the night that you may rest therein and the day enlightening. Indeed, Allah is full of bounty to the people, but most of the people are not grateful.
ذٰلِكُمُ اللّٰهُ رَبُّكُمۡ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ لَّاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ ۚ فَاَنّٰى تُؤۡفَكُوۡنَ ٦٢
40:62
That is Allah, your Lord, Creator of all things; there is no deity except Him, so how are you averted?
كَذٰلِكَ يُؤۡفَكُ الَّذِيۡنَ كَانُوۡا بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ يَجۡحَدُوۡنَ ٦٣
40:63
Thus were averted those who were rejecting the signs of Allah.
اللّٰهُ الَّذِىۡ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الۡاَرۡضَ قَرَاَرًا وَّالسَّمَآءَ بِنَآءً وَّصَوَّرَكُمۡ فَاَحۡسَنَ صُوَرَكُمۡ وَرَزَقَكُمۡ مِّنَ الطَّيِّبٰتِ ؕ ذٰلِكُمُ اللّٰهُ رَبُّكُمۡ ۚ فَتَبٰرَكَ اللّٰهُ رَبُّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ ؕ ٦٤
40:64
It is Allah who made for you the earth a place of settlement and the sky a canopy and formed you and perfected your forms and provided you with good things. That is Allah, your Lord; so blessed is Allah, Lord of the worlds.
هُوَ الۡحَىُّ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ فَادۡعُوۡهُ مُخۡلِصِيۡنَ لَهُ الدِّيۡنَ ؕ الۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ ٦٥
40:65
He is the Ever-Living; there is no deity except Him, so call upon Him, [being] sincere to Him in religion. [All] praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
قُلۡ اِنِّىۡ نُهِيۡتُ اَنۡ اَعۡبُدَ الَّذِيۡنَ تَدۡعُوۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ لَمَّا جَآءَنِىَ الۡبَيِّنٰتُ مِنۡ رَّبِّىۡ وَاُمِرۡتُ اَنۡ اُسۡلِمَ لِرَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ ٦٦
40:66
Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, I have been forbidden to worship those you invoke besides Allah since clear evidences have come to me from my Lord, and I have been commanded to submit to the Lord of the worlds."
هُوَ الَّذِىۡ خَلَقَكُمۡ مِّنۡ تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِنۡ نُّطۡفَةٍ ثُمَّ مِنۡ عَلَقَةٍ ثُمَّ يُخۡرِجُكُمۡ طِفۡلًا ثُمَّ لِتَبۡلُغُوۡۤا اَشُدَّكُمۡ ثُمَّ لِتَكُوۡنُوۡا شُيُوۡخًا ۚ وَمِنۡكُمۡ مَّنۡ يُّتَوَفّٰى مِنۡ قَبۡلُ وَلِتَبۡلُغُوۡۤا اَجَلًا مُّسَمًّى وَّلَعَلَّكُمۡ تَعۡقِلُوۡنَ ٦٧
40:67
It is He who created you from dust, then from a drop of fluid, then from a clinging clot. Then He brings you out as a child; then [allows you] to reach your [period of] maturity; then [allows you] to become elders. And among you is he who is taken in death before [that], and [He lets you live] that you reach an appointed term and perhaps establish understanding.
هُوَ الَّذِىۡ يُحۡيِىۡ وَيُمِيۡتُ ۚ فَاِذَا قَضٰۤى اَمۡرًا فَاِنَّمَا يَقُوۡلُ لَهٗ كُنۡ فَيَكُوۡنُ ٦٨
40:68
It is He who gives life and causes death; and when He decrees a matter, He but says to it, "Be," and it is.
اَلَمۡ تَرَ اِلَى الَّذِيۡنَ يُجَادِلُوۡنَ فِىۡۤ اٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ ؕ اَنّٰى يُصۡرَفُوۡنَ ۚ ٦٩
40:69
Have you not considered those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah - how are they averted?
الَّذِيۡنَ كَذَّبُوۡا بِالۡكِتٰبِ وَبِمَاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَا بِهٖ رُسُلَنَا ؕ فَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ۙ ٧٠
40:70
Those who denied the Book and that with which We sent Our messengers - they are going to know,
اِذِ الۡاَغۡلٰلُ فِىۡۤ اَعۡنَاقِهِمۡ وَالسَّلٰسِلُ ؕ يُسۡحَبُوۡنَ ۙ ٧١
40:71
When the shackles are around their necks and the chains; they will be dragged
فِىۡ الۡحَمِيۡمِ ثُمَّ فِىۡ النَّارِ يُسۡجَرُوۡنَ ۚ ٧٢
40:72
In boiling water; then in the Fire they will be burned.
ثُمَّ قِيۡلَ لَهُمۡ اَيۡنَ مَا كُنۡتُمۡ تُشۡرِكُوۡنَ ۙ ٧٣
40:73
Then it will be said to them, "Where are those you used to associate [with Allah]
مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ ؕ قَالُوۡا ضَلُّوۡا عَنَّا بَلۡ لَّمۡ نَكُنۡ نَّدۡعُوۡ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ شَيۡئًا ؕ كَذٰلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللّٰهُ الۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ ٧٤
40:74
Other than Allah?" They will say, "They have departed from us; rather, we did not used to invoke anything before." Thus does Allah put astray the disbelievers.
ذٰلِكُمۡ بِمَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَفۡرَحُوۡنَ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ بِغَيۡرِ الۡحَقِّ وَبِمَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَمۡرَحُوۡنَ ٧٥
40:75
That was because you used to rejoice on earth without right and because you used to exult [with pride].
ادۡخُلُوۡۤا اَبۡوَابَ جَهَنَّمَ خٰلِدِيۡنَ فِيۡهَا ۚ فَبِئۡسَ مَثۡوَى الۡمُتَكَبِّرِيۡنَ ٧٦
40:76
Enter the gates of Hell to abide eternally therein, and wretched is the residence of the arrogant.
فَاصۡبِرۡ اِنَّ وَعۡدَ اللّٰهِ حَقٌّ ؕ فَاِمَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعۡضَ الَّذِىۡ نَعِدُهُمۡ اَوۡ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَاِلَيۡنَا يُرۡجَعُوۡنَ ٧٧
40:77
So be patient, [O Muhammad]. Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth. And whether We show you some of what We promise them or We take you in death, to Us they will be returned.
وَلَقَدۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَا رُسُلًا مِّنۡ قَبۡلِكَ مِنۡهُمۡ مَّنۡ قَصَصۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ وَمِنۡهُمۡ مَّنۡ لَّمۡ نَقۡصُصۡ عَلَيۡكَ ؕ وَمَا كَانَ لِرَسُوۡلٍ اَنۡ يَّاۡتِىَ بِاٰيَةٍ اِلَّا بِاِذۡنِ اللّٰهِ ۚ فَاِذَا جَآءَ اَمۡرُ اللّٰهِ قُضِىَ بِالۡحَقِّ وَخَسِرَ هُنَالِكَ الۡمُبۡطِلُوۡنَ ٧٨
40:78
And We have already sent messengers before you. Among them are those [whose stories] We have related to you, and among them are those [whose stories] We have not related to you. And it was not for any messenger to bring a sign [or miracle] except by permission of Allah. So when the command of Allah comes, it will be concluded in truth, and the falsifiers will thereupon lose [everything].
اللّٰهُ الَّذِىۡ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الۡاَنۡعٰمَ لِتَرۡكَبُوۡا مِنۡهَا وَمِنۡهَا تَاۡكُلُوۡنَ ۙ ٧٩
40:79
It is Allah who made for you the livestock, that you may ride some of them and eat some of them.
وَلَكُمۡ فِيۡهَا مَنَافِعُ اُخۡرٰى وَلِتَبۡلُغُوۡا عَلَيۡهَا حَاجَةً فِىۡ صُدُوۡرِكُمۡ وَعَلَيۡهَا وَعَلَى الۡفُلۡكِ تُحۡمَلُوۡنَ ٨٠
40:80
And for you in them are [other] benefits and that you may reach thereby a need within your breasts; and upon them and upon ships you are carried.
وَيُرِيۡكُمۡ اٰيٰتِهٖ فَاَىَّ اٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ تُنۡكِرُوۡنَ ٨١
40:81
And He shows you His signs. So which of the signs of Allah do you deny?
اَفَلَمۡ يَسِيۡرُوۡا فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ فَيَنۡظُرُوۡا كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِمۡ ؕ كَانُوۡۤ اَكۡثَرَ مِنۡهُمۡ وَاَشَدَّ قُوَّةً وَّاٰثَارًا فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ فَمَاۤ اَغۡنٰى عَنۡهُمۡ مَّا كَانُوۡا يَكۡسِبُوۡنَ ٨٢
40:82
Have they not traveled through the earth and seen how was the end of those before them? They were more numerous than themselves and greater in strength and in [the effect of] their traces in the land, but what they were earning did not avail them.
فَلَمَّا جَآءَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُهُمۡ بِالۡبَيِّنٰتِ فَرِحُوۡا بِمَا عِنۡدَهُمۡ مِّنَ الۡعِلۡمِ وَحَاقَ بِهِمۡ مَّا كَانُوۡا بِهٖ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُوۡنَ ٨٣
40:83
And when their messengers came to them with clear evidences, they rejoiced in what they had of knowledge, but they were enveloped by what they used to ridicule.
فَلَمَّا رَاَوۡا بَاۡسَنَا قَالُوۡۤا اٰمَنَّا بِاللّٰهِ وَحۡدَهٗ وَكَفَرۡنَا بِمَا كُنَّا بِهٖ مُشۡرِكِيۡنَ ٨٤
40:84
And when they saw Our punishment, they said, "We believe in Allah alone and we reject what we used to associate with Him."
فَلَمۡ يَكُ يَنۡفَعُهُمۡ اِيۡمَانُهُمۡ لَمَّا رَاَوۡا بَاۡسَنَا ؕ سُنَّتَ اللّٰهِ الَّتِىۡ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ فِىۡ عِبَادِهٖ ۚ وَخَسِرَ هُنَالِكَ الۡكٰفِرُوۡنَ ٨٥
40:85
But their belief when they saw Our punishment was not to benefit them. [This is] the established way of Allah which has preceded regarding His servants. And the disbelievers thereupon lost [everything].
>
حٰمٓ ١
41:1
Ḥā. Mīm.
تَنۡزِيۡلٌ مِّنَ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ ۚ ٢
41:2
[This is] a revelation from the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
كِتٰبٌ فُصِّلَتۡ اٰيٰتُهٗ قُرۡاٰنًا عَرَبِيًّا لِّقَوۡمٍ يَّعۡلَمُوۡنَ ۙ ٣
41:3
A Book whose verses have been detailed [i.e., explained in detail] as an Arabic Qur'an for a people who know,
بَشِيۡرًا وَّنَذِيۡرًا ۙ فَاَعۡرَضَ اَكۡثَرُهُمۡ فَهُمۡ لَا يَسۡمَعُوۡنَ ٤
41:4
As a bringer of good tidings and a warner; but most of them turn away, so they do not hear.
وَقَالُوۡا قُلُوۡبُنَا فِىۡۤ اَكِنَّةٍ مِّمَّا تَدۡعُوۡنَاۤ اِلَيۡهِ وَفِىۡۤ اٰذَانِنَا وَقۡرٌ وَّمِنۡۢ بَيۡنِنَا وَبَيۡنِكَ حِجَابٌ فَاعۡمَلۡ اِنَّنَا عٰمِلُوۡنَ ٥
41:5
And they say, "Our hearts are within coverings from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a barrier. So work; indeed, we are working."
قُلۡ اِنَّمَاۤ اَنَا بَشَرٌ مِّثۡلُكُمۡ يُوۡحٰىۤ اِلَىَّ اَنَّمَاۤ اِلٰهُكُمۡ اِلٰهٌ وَّاحِدٌ فَاسۡتَقِيۡمُوۡۤا اِلَيۡهِ وَاسۡتَغۡفِرُوۡهُ ؕ وَوَيۡلٌ لِّلۡمُشۡرِكِيۡنَ ۙ ٦
41:6
Say, [O Muhammad], "I am only a man like you, to whom has been revealed that your god is but one God; so take a straight course toward Him and seek His forgiveness." And woe to the polytheists -
الَّذِيۡنَ لَا يُؤۡتُوۡنَ الزَّكٰوةَ وَهُمۡ بِالۡاٰخِرَةِ هُمۡ كٰفِرُوۡنَ ٧
41:7
Those who do not give zakāh and in the Hereafter they are disbelievers.
اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوۡا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَهُمۡ اَجۡرٌ غَيۡرُ مَمۡنُوۡنٍ ٨
41:8
Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds - for them is a reward without interruption.
قُلۡ اَئِنَّكُمۡ لَتَكۡفُرُوۡنَ بِالَّذِىۡ خَلَقَ الۡاَرۡضَ فِىۡ يَوۡمَيۡنِ وَتَجۡعَلُوۡنَ لَهٗۤ اَنۡدَادًا ؕ ذٰلِكَ رَبُّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ ۚ ٩
41:9
Say, "Do you indeed disbelieve in He who created the earth in two days and attribute to Him equals? That is the Lord of the worlds."
وَجَعَلَ فِيۡهَا رَوَاسِىَ مِنۡ فَوۡقِهَا وَبٰرَكَ فِيۡهَا وَقَدَّرَ فِيۡهَاۤ اَقۡوَاتَهَا فِىۡۤ اَرۡبَعَةِ اَيَّامٍ ؕ سَوَآءً لِّلسَّآئِلِيۡنَ ١٠
41:10
And He placed on the earth firmly set mountains over its surface, and He blessed it and determined therein its [distributed] sustenance in four days without distinction - for [the inquiry of] those who ask.
ثُمَّ اسۡتَوٰۤى اِلَى السَّمَآءِ وَهِىَ دُخَانٌ فَقَالَ لَهَا وَلِلۡاَرۡضِ ائۡتِيَا طَوۡعًا اَوۡ كَرۡهًا ؕ قَالَتَاۤ اَتَيۡنَا طَآئِعِيۡنَ ١١
41:11
Then He directed Himself to the heaven while it was smoke and said to it and to the earth, "Come [into being], willingly or by compulsion." They said, "We have come willingly."
فَقَضٰٮهُنَّ سَبۡعَ سَمٰوٰتٍ فِىۡ يَوۡمَيۡنِ وَاَوۡحٰى فِىۡ كُلِّ سَمَآءٍ اَمۡرَهَا ؕ وَزَيَّنَّا السَّمَآءَ الدُّنۡيَا بِمَصَابِيۡحَ وَحِفۡظًا ؕ ذٰلِكَ تَقۡدِيۡرُ الۡعَزِيۡزِ الۡعَلِيۡمِ ١٢
41:12
And He completed them as seven heavens within two days and inspired in each heaven its command. And We adorned the nearest heaven with lamps and as protection. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.
فَاِنۡ اَعۡرَضُوۡا فَقُلۡ اَنۡذَرۡتُكُمۡ صٰعِقَةً مِّثۡلَ صٰعِقَةِ عَادٍ وَّثَمُوۡدَ ؕ ١٣
41:13
But if they turn away, then say, "I have warned you of a thunderbolt like the thunderbolt [that struck] 'Aad and Thamūd."
اِذۡ جَآءَتۡهُمُ الرُّسُلُ مِنۡۢ بَيۡنِ اَيۡدِيۡهِمۡ وَمِنۡ خَلۡفِهِمۡ اَلَّا تَعۡبُدُوۡۤا اِلَّا اللّٰهَ ؕ قَالُوۡا لَوۡ شَآءَ رَبُّنَا لَاَنۡزَلَ مَلٰٓئِكَةً فَاِنَّا بِمَاۤ اُرۡسِلۡتُمۡ بِهٖ كٰفِرُوۡنَ ١٤
41:14
When the messengers had come to them before them and after them, [saying], "Do not worship except Allah," they said, "If our Lord had willed, He would have sent down angels [instead]. So indeed we, in that with which you have been sent, are disbelievers."
فَاَمَّا عَادٌ فَاسۡتَكۡبَرُوۡا فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ بِغَيۡرِ الۡحَقِّ وَقَالُوۡا مَنۡ اَشَدُّ مِنَّا قُوَّةً ؕ اَوَلَمۡ يَرَوۡا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ الَّذِىۡ خَلَقَهُمۡ هُوَ اَشَدُّ مِنۡهُمۡ قُوَّةً ؕ وَكَانُوۡا بِاٰيٰتِنَا يَجۡحَدُوۡنَ ١٥
41:15
As for 'Aad, they were arrogant upon the earth without right and said, "Who is greater than us in strength?" Did they not consider that Allah who created them was greater than them in strength? But they were rejecting Our signs.
فَاَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ رِيۡحًا صَرۡصَرًا فِىۡۤ اَيَّامٍ نَّحِسَاتٍ لِّنُذِيۡقَهُمۡ عَذَابَ الۡخِزۡىِ فِىۡ الۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَا ؕ وَلَعَذَابُ الۡاٰخِرَةِ اَخۡزٰى ۫ وَهُمۡ لَا يُنۡصَرُوۡنَ ١٦
41:16
So We sent upon them a howling wind during days of misfortune to make them taste the punishment of disgrace in worldly life; but the punishment of the Hereafter is more disgracing, and they will not be helped.
وَاَمَّا ثَمُوۡدُ فَهَدَيۡنٰهُمۡ فَاسۡتَحَبُّوا الۡعَمٰى عَلَى الۡهُدٰى فَاَخَذَتۡهُمۡ صٰعِقَةُ الۡعَذَابِ الۡهُوۡنِ بِمَا كَانُوۡا يَكۡسِبُوۡنَ ١٧
41:17
And as for Thamūd, We guided them, but they preferred blindness over guidance, so the thunderbolt of humiliating punishment seized them for what they used to earn.
وَنَجَّيۡنَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَكَانُوۡا يَتَّقُوۡنَ ١٨
41:18
But We saved those who believed and used to fear Allah.
وَيَوۡمَ يُحۡشَرُ اَعۡدَآءُ اللّٰهِ اِلَى النَّارِ فَهُمۡ يُوۡزَعُوۡنَ ۙ ١٩
41:19
And [mention] the Day when the enemies of Allah will be gathered to the Fire, and they will be [driven] in groups.
حَتّٰىۤ اِذَا مَا جَآءُوۡهَا شَهِدَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ سَمۡعُهُمۡ وَاَبۡصَارُهُمۡ وَجُلُوۡدُهُمۡ بِمَا كَانُوۡا يَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ٢٠
41:20
Until, when they reach it, their hearing and their eyes and their skins will testify against them of what they used to do.
وَقَالُوۡا لِجُلُوۡدِهِمۡ لِمَ شَهِدۡتُّمۡ عَلَيۡنَا ؕ قَالُوۡۤا اَنۡطَقَنَا اللّٰهُ الَّذِىۡۤ اَنۡطَقَ كُلَّ شَىۡءٍ وَّهُوَ خَلَقَكُمۡ اَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَّاِلَيۡهِ تُرۡجَعُوۡنَ ٢١
41:21
And they will say to their skins, "Why have you testified against us?" They will say, "We were made to speak by Allah, who has made everything speak; and He created you the first time, and to Him you are returned.
وَمَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَسۡتَتِرُوۡنَ اَنۡ يَّشۡهَدَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ سَمۡعُكُمۡ وَلَاۤ اَبۡصَارُكُمۡ وَلَا جُلُوۡدُكُمۡ وَلٰكِنۡ ظَنَنۡتُمۡ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يَعۡلَمُ كَثِيۡرًا مِّمَّا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ٢٢
41:22
And you were not concealing yourselves so that your hearing or your sight or your skins would not testify against you, but you thought that Allah does not know much of what you do.
وَذٰلِكُمۡ ظَنُّكُمُ الَّذِىۡ ظَنَنۡتُمۡ بِرَبِّكُمۡ اَرۡدٰٮكُمۡ فَاَصۡبَحۡتُمۡ مِّنَ الۡخٰسِرِيۡنَ ٢٣
41:23
And that was your thought which you assumed about your Lord that ruined you, and you became among the losers."
فَاِنۡ يَّصۡبِرُوۡا فَالنَّارُ مَثۡوًى لَّهُمۡ ۚ وَاِنۡ يَّسۡتَعۡتِبُوۡا فَمَا هُمۡ مِّنَ الۡمُعۡتَبِيۡنَ ٢٤
41:24
So [even] if they endure, the Fire is a residence for them; and if they ask to appease [Allah], they will not be of those who are allowed to appease.
وَقَيَّضۡنَا لَهُمۡ قُرَنَآءَ فَزَيَّنُوۡا لَهُمۡ مَّا بَيۡنَ اَيۡدِيۡهِمۡ وَمَا خَلۡفَهُمۡ وَحَقَّ عَلَيۡهِمُ الۡقَوۡلُ فِىۡۤ اُمَمٍ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِمۡ مِّنَ الۡجِنِّ وَالۡاِنۡسِ ۚ اِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوۡا خٰسِرِيۡنَ ٢٥
41:25
And We appointed for them companions [of jinn and men] who made attractive to them what was before them [of worldly pleasures] and what was behind them [of promises of Hell], and the word [i.e., decree] proved true upon them [as it had upon] nations which had passed on before them of jinn and men. Indeed, they were losers.
وَقَالَ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا لَا تَسۡمَعُوۡا لِهٰذَا الۡقُرۡاٰنِ وَالۡغَوۡا فِيۡهِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَغۡلِبُوۡنَ ٢٦
41:26
And those who disbelieve say, "Do not listen to this Qur'an and speak noisily during [the recitation of] it that perhaps you will overcome."
فَلَنُذِيۡقَنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا عَذَابًا شَدِيۡدًا وَلَنَجۡزِيَنَّهُمۡۤ اَسۡوَاَ الَّذِىۡ كَانُوۡا يَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ٢٧
41:27
But We will surely cause those who disbelieve to taste a severe punishment, and We will surely recompense them for the worst of what they used to do.
ذٰلِكَ جَزَآءُ اَعۡدَآءِ اللّٰهِ النَّارُ ؕ لَهُمۡ فِيۡهَا دَارُ الۡخُلۡدِ ؕ جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَانُوۡا بِاٰيٰتِنَا يَجۡحَدُوۡنَ ٢٨
41:28
That is the recompense of the enemies of Allah - the Fire. For them therein is the home of perpetual residence as recompense for what they used to deny of Our verses.
وَقَالَ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا رَبَّنَاۤ اَرِنَا الَّذَيۡنِ اَضَلّٰنَا مِنَ الۡجِنِّ وَالۡاِنۡسِ نَجۡعَلۡهُمَا تَحۡتَ اَقۡدَامِنَا لِيَكُوۡنَا مِنَ الۡاَسۡفَلِيۡنَ ٢٩
41:29
And those who disbelieve will say, "Our Lord, show us those who misled us of the jinn and men [so] we may put them under our feet that they will be among the lowest."
اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ قَالُوۡا رَبُّنَا اللّٰهُ ثُمَّ اسۡتَقَامُوۡا تَتَنَزَّلُ عَلَيۡهِمُ الۡمَلٰٓئِكَةُ اَلَّا تَخَافُوۡا وَلَا تَحۡزَنُوۡا وَاَبۡشِرُوۡا بِالۡجَنَّةِ الَّتِىۡ كُنۡتُمۡ تُوۡعَدُوۡنَ ٣٠
41:30
Indeed, those who have said, "Our Lord is Allah," and then remained on a straight course - the angels will descend upon them, [saying], "Do not fear and do not grieve but receive good tidings of Paradise, which you were promised.
نَحۡنُ اَوۡلِيٰٓؤُكُمۡ فِىۡ الۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَا وَفِىۡ الۡاٰخِرَةِ ۚ وَلَكُمۡ فِيۡهَا مَا تَشۡتَهٰىۤ اَنۡفُسُكُمۡ وَلَكُمۡ فِيۡهَا مَا تَدَّعُوۡنَ ؕ ٣١
41:31
We were your allies in the worldly life and [are so] in the Hereafter. And you will have therein whatever your souls desire, and you will have therein whatever you request [or wish] -
نُزُلًا مِّنۡ غَفُوۡرٍ رَّحِيۡمٍ ٣٢
41:32
As accommodation from a [Lord who is] Forgiving and Merciful."
وَمَنۡ اَحۡسَنُ قَوۡلًا مِّمَّنۡ دَعَاۤ اِلَى اللّٰهِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا وَّقَالَ اِنَّنِىۡ مِنَ الۡمُسۡلِمِيۡنَ ٣٣
41:33
And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims."
وَلَا تَسۡتَوِى الۡحَسَنَةُ وَلَا السَّيِّئَةُ ؕ اِدۡفَعۡ بِالَّتِىۡ هِىَ اَحۡسَنُ فَاِذَا الَّذِىۡ بَيۡنَكَ وَبَيۡنَهٗ عَدَاوَةٌ كَاَنَّهٗ وَلِىٌّ حَمِيۡمٌ ٣٤
41:34
And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel [evil] with that which is better, and immediately the one whom between you and him was enmity will become as though he was a devoted friend.
وَمَا يُلَقّٰٮهَاۤ اِلَّا الَّذِيۡنَ صَبَرُوۡا ۚ وَمَا يُلَقّٰٮهَاۤ اِلَّا ذُوۡ حَظٍّ عَظِيۡمٍ ٣٥
41:35
But none is granted it except those who are patient, and none is granted it except one having a great portion [of good fortune].
وَاِمَّا يَنۡزَغَنَّكَ مِنَ الشَّيۡطٰنِ نَزۡغٌ فَاسۡتَعِذۡ بِاللّٰهِ ؕ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ السَّمِيۡعُ الۡعَلِيۡمُ ٣٦
41:36
And if there comes to you from Satan an evil suggestion, then seek refuge in Allah. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
وَمِنۡ اٰيٰتِهِ الَّيۡلُ وَالنَّهَارُ وَالشَّمۡسُ وَالۡقَمَرُ ؕ لَا تَسۡجُدُوۡا لِلشَّمۡسِ وَلَا لِلۡقَمَرِ وَاسۡجُدُوۡا لِلّٰهِ الَّذِىۡ خَلَقَهُنَّ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ اِيَّاهُ تَعۡبُدُوۡنَ ٣٧
41:37
And of His signs are the night and day and the sun and moon. Do not prostrate to the sun or to the moon, but prostrate to Allah, who created them, if it should be Him that you worship.
فَاِنِ اسۡتَكۡبَرُوۡا فَالَّذِيۡنَ عِنۡدَ رَبِّكَ يُسَبِّحُوۡنَ لَهٗ بِالَّيۡلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَهُمۡ لَا يَسۡـَٔمُوۡنَ ؕ ٣٨
41:38
But if they are arrogant - then those who are with your Lord exalt Him [by praise] night and day, and they do not tire.
وَمِنۡ اٰيٰتِهِۤ اَنَّكَ تَرَى الۡاَرۡضَ خَاشِعَةً فَاِذَاۤ اَنۡزَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهَا الۡمَآءَ اهۡتَزَّتۡ وَرَبَتۡ ؕ اِنَّ الَّذِىۡۤ اَحۡيَاهَا لَمُحۡىِ الۡمَوۡتٰى ؕ اِنَّهٗ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ قَدِيۡرٌ ٣٩
41:39
And of His signs is that you see the earth stilled, but when We send down upon it rain, it quivers and grows. Indeed, He who gives it life is the Giver of life to the dead. Indeed, He is over all things competent.
اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ يُلۡحِدُوۡنَ فِىۡۤ اٰيٰتِنَا لَا يَخۡفَوۡنَ عَلَيۡنَا ؕ اَفَمَنۡ يُّلۡقٰى فِىۡ النَّارِ خَيۡرٌ اَمۡ مَّنۡ يَّاۡتِىۡۤ اٰمِنًا يَوۡمَ الۡقِيٰمَةِ ؕ اعۡمَلُوۡا مَا شِئۡتُمۡ ۙ اِنَّهٗ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ بَصِيۡرٌ ٤٠
41:40
Indeed, those who inject deviation into Our verses are not concealed from Us. So, is he who is cast into the Fire better or he who comes secure on the Day of Resurrection? Do whatever you will; indeed, He is Seeing of what you do.
اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا بِالذِّكۡرِ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمۡ ۚ وَاِنَّهٗ لَكِتٰبٌ عَزِيۡزٌ ۙ ٤١
41:41
Indeed, those who disbelieve in the message after it has come to them are subject to punishment, and indeed, the Qur'an is a Exalted Book.
لَا يَاۡتِيۡهِ الۡبَاطِلُ مِنۡۢ بَيۡنِ يَدَيۡهِ وَلَا مِنۡ خَلۡفِهٖ ؕ تَنۡزِيۡلٌ مِّنۡ حَكِيۡمٍ حَمِيۡدٍ ٤٢
41:42
Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or from behind it; [it is] a revelation from a [Lord who is] Wise and Praiseworthy.
مَا يُقَالُ لَكَ اِلَّا مَا قَدۡ قِيۡلَ لِلرُّسُلِ مِنۡ قَبۡلِكَ ؕ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُوۡ مَغۡفِرَةٍ وَّذُوۡ عِقَابٍ اَلِيۡمٍ ٤٣
41:43
Nothing is said to you [O Muhammad] except what was already said to the messengers before you. Indeed, your Lord is an owner of forgiveness and an owner of painful penalty.
وَلَوۡ جَعَلۡنٰهُ قُرۡاٰنًا اَعۡجَمِيًّا لَّقَالُوۡا لَوۡلَا فُصِّلَتۡ اٰيٰتُهٗ ؕ ءَا۠عۡجَمِىٌّ وَّعَرَبِىٌّ ؕ قُلۡ هُوَ لِلَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا هُدًى وَّشِفَآءٌ ؕ وَالَّذِيۡنَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ فِىۡۤ اٰذَانِهِمۡ وَقۡرٌ وَّهُوَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ عَمًى ؕ اُولٰٓئِكَ يُنَادَوۡنَ مِنۡ مَّكَانٍ ۢ بَعِيۡدٍ ٤٤
41:44
And if We had made it a non-Arabic Qur'an, they would have said, "Why were its verses not explained in detail [in our language]? Is it a non-Arabic [recitation] and an Arab [messenger]?" Say, "It is, for those who believe, a guidance and a cure." And those who do not believe - in their ears is deafness, and it is upon them blindness. Those are being called from a distant place.
وَلَقَدۡ اٰتَيۡنَا مُوۡسَى الۡكِتٰبَ فَاخۡتُلِفَ فِيۡهِ ؕ وَلَوۡلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتۡ مِنۡ رَّبِّكَ لَقُضِىَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ ؕ وَاِنَّهُمۡ لَفِىۡ شَكٍّ مِّنۡهُ مُرِيۡبٍ ٤٥
41:45
And We had already given Moses the Scripture, but difference arose concerning it. And if not for a word that preceded from your Lord, it would have been judged between them. And indeed they are, concerning it, in disquieting doubt.
مَنۡ عَمِلَ صٰلِحًا فَلِنَفۡسِهٖ ۚ وَمَنۡ اَسَآءَ فَعَلَيۡهَا ؕ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِظَلَّامٍ لِّلۡعَبِيۡدِ ٤٦
41:46
Whoever does righteousness - it is for his [own] soul; and whoever does evil [does so] against it. And your Lord is not ever unjust to [His] servants.
