Juz 25
(41:47 – 45:37)
اِلَيۡهِ يُرَدُّ عِلۡمُ السَّاعَةِ ؕ وَمَا تَخۡرُجُ مِنۡ ثَمَرٰتٍ مِّنۡ اَكۡمَامِهَا وَمَا تَحۡمِلُ مِنۡ اُنۡثٰى وَلَا تَضَعُ اِلَّا بِعِلۡمِهٖ ؕ وَيَوۡمَ يُنَادِيۡهِمۡ اَيۡنَ شُرَكَآءِىۡ قَالُوۡا اٰذَنّٰكَ مَا مِنَّا مِنۡ شَهِيۡدٍ ٤٧
41:47
To Him is referred [the knowledge of] the Hour. And no fruits emerge from their coverings nor does a female conceive or give birth except with His knowledge. And the Day He will call to them, "Where are My 'partners'?" they will say, "We announce to You that there is [no longer] among us any witness [of that]."
وَضَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡ مَّا كَانُوۡا يَدۡعُوۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ وَظَنُّوۡا مَا لَهُمۡ مِّنۡ مَّحِيۡصٍ ٤٨
41:48
And lost from them will be whatever they used to invoke before, and they will be certain that they have no escape.
لَا يَسۡـَٔمُ الۡاِنۡسَانُ مِنۡ دُعَآءِ الۡخَيۡرِ وَاِنۡ مَّسَّهُ الشَّرُّ فَيَـُٔوۡسٌ قَنُوۡطٌ ٤٩
41:49
Man is not weary of supplication for good [things], but if evil touches him, he is hopeless and despairing.
وَلَئِنۡ اَذَقۡنٰهُ رَحۡمَةً مِّنَّا مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ ضَرَّاۤءَ مَسَّتۡهُ لَيَقُوۡلَنَّ هٰذَا لِىۡ وَمَاۤ اَظُنُّ السَّاعَةَ قَآئِمَةً ۙ وَّلَئِنۡ رُّجِعۡتُ اِلٰى رَبِّىۡۤ اِنَّ لِىۡ عِنۡدَهٗ لَلۡحُسۡنٰى ؕ فَلَنُنَبِّئَنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا بِمَا عَمِلُوۡا وَلَنُذِيۡقَنَّهُمۡ مِّنۡ عَذَابٍ غَلِيۡظٍ ٥٠
41:50
And if We let him taste mercy from Us after adversity has touched him, he will surely say, "This is [due] to me, and I do not think the Hour will occur; and [even] if I should be returned to my Lord, indeed, I will have with Him the best [reward]." But We will surely inform those who disbelieved about what they did and will surely make them taste a severe punishment.
وَاِذَاۤ اَنۡعَمۡنَا عَلَى الۡاِنۡسَانِ اَعۡرَضَ وَنَاٰى بِجَانِبِهٖ ۚ وَاِذَا مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ فَذُوۡ دُعَآءٍ عَرِيۡضٍ ٥١
41:51
And when We bestow favor upon man, he turns away and moves aside [in arrogance]; but when evil touches him, then he is one of extensive supplication.
قُلۡ اَرَءَيۡتُمۡ اِنۡ كَانَ مِنۡ عِنۡدِ اللّٰهِ ثُمَّ كَفَرۡتُمۡ بِهٖ مَنۡ اَضَلُّ مِمَّنۡ هُوَ فِىۡ شِقَاقٍ ۢ بَعِيۡدٍ ٥٢
41:52
Say, "Have you considered: if the Qur'an was from Allah, and you disbelieved in it, who would be more astray than one who is in extreme dissension?"
سَنُرِيۡهِمۡ اٰيٰتِنَا فِىۡ الۡاٰفَاقِ وَفِىۡۤ اَنۡفُسِهِمۡ حَتّٰى يَتَبَيَّنَ لَهُمۡ اَنَّهُ الۡحَقُّ ؕ اَوَلَمۡ يَكۡفِ بِرَبِّكَ اَنَّهٗ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ شَهِيۡدٌ ؕ ٥٣
41:53
We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth. But is it not sufficient concerning your Lord that He is, over all things, a Witness?
اَلَاۤ اِنَّهُمۡ فِىۡ مِرۡيَةٍ مِّنۡ لِّقَآءِ رَبِّهِمۡ ؕ اَلَاۤ اِنَّهٗ بِكُلِّ شَىۡءٍ مُّحِيۡطٌ ٥٤
41:54
Unquestionably, they are in doubt about the meeting with their Lord. Unquestionably, He is of all things encompassing.
حٰمٓ ١
42:1
Ḥā. Mīm.
عٓسٓقٓ ٢
42:2
'Ain. Sīn. Qāf.
كَذٰلِكَ يُوۡحِىۡۤ اِلَيۡكَ وَاِلَى الَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِكَ اللّٰهُ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الۡحَكِيۡمُ ٣
42:3
Thus does Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise, reveal to you, [O Muhammad], and to those before you.
لَهٗ مَا فِىۡ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ ؕ وَهُوَ الۡعَلِىُّ الۡعَظِيۡمُ ٤
42:4
To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and He is the Most High, the Most Great.
تَكَادُ السَّمٰوٰتُ يَتَفَطَّرۡنَ مِنۡ فَوۡقِهِنَّ وَالۡمَلٰٓئِكَةُ يُسَبِّحُوۡنَ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَيَسۡتَغۡفِرُوۡنَ لِمَنۡ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ ؕ اَلَاۤ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الۡغَفُوۡرُ الرَّحِيۡمُ ٥
42:5
The heavens almost break from above them, as the angels exalt [Allah] with praise of their Lord and ask forgiveness for those on earth. Unquestionably, it is Allah who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.
وَالَّذِيۡنَ اتَّخَذُوۡا مِنۡ دُوۡنِهٖۤ اَوۡلِيَآءَ اللّٰهُ حَفِيۡظٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ۖ وَمَاۤ اَنۡتَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ بِوَكِيۡلٍ ٦
42:6
And those who take protectors besides Him - Allah is [monitoring] over them, and you, [O Muhammad], are not over them a manager.
وَكَذٰلِكَ اَوۡحَيۡنَاۤ اِلَيۡكَ قُرۡاٰنًا عَرَبِيًّا لِّتُنۡذِرَ اُمَّ الۡقُرٰى وَمَنۡ حَوۡلَهَا وَتُنۡذِرَ يَوۡمَ الۡجَمۡعِ لَا رَيۡبَ فِيۡهِ ؕ فَرِيۡقٌ فِىۡ الۡجَنَّةِ وَفَرِيۡقٌ فِىۡ السَّعِيۡرِ ٧
42:7
And thus have We inspired to you an Arabic Qur'an that you may warn the Mother of Cities [Makkah] and those around it and warn of the Day of Assembly, about which there is no doubt. A party will be in Paradise and a party in the Blaze.
وَلَوۡ شَآءَ اللّٰهُ لَجَعَلَهُمۡ اُمَّةً وَّاحِدَةً وَّلٰكِنۡ يُدۡخِلُ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ فِىۡ رَحۡمَتِهٖ ؕ وَالظّٰلِمُوۡنَ مَا لَهُمۡ مِّنۡ وَّلِىٍّ وَّلَا نَصِيۡرٍ ٨
42:8
And if Allah had willed, He could have made them [of] one religion, but He admits whom He wills into His mercy. And the wrongdoers will have no protector and no helper.
اَمِ اتَّخَذُوۡا مِنۡ دُوۡنِهٖۤ اَوۡلِيَآءَ ۚ فَاللّٰهُ هُوَ الۡوَلِىُّ وَهُوَ يُحۡىِ الۡمَوۡتٰى وَهُوَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ قَدِيۡرٌ ؕ ٩
42:9
Or have they taken protectors besides Him? But Allah - He is the Protector, and He gives life to the dead, and He is over all things competent.
وَمَا اخۡتَلَفۡتُمۡ فِيۡهِ مِنۡ شَىۡءٍ فَحُكۡمُهٗۤ اِلَى اللّٰهِ ؕ ذٰلِكُمُ اللّٰهُ رَبِّىۡ عَلَيۡهِ تَوَكَّلۡتُ وَاِلَيۡهِ اُنِيۡبُ ١٠
42:10
And in anything over which you disagree - its ruling is [to be referred] to Allah. [Say], "That is Allah, my Lord; upon Him I have relied, and to Him I turn in repentance."
فَاطِرُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ ؕ جَعَلَ لَكُمۡ مِّنۡ اَنۡفُسِكُمۡ اَزۡوَاجًا وَّمِنَ الۡاَنۡعَامِ اَزۡوَاجًا ۚ يَذۡرَؤُكُمۡ فِيۡهِ ؕ لَيۡسَ كَمِثۡلِهٖ شَىۡءٌ ۚ وَهُوَ السَّمِيۡعُ الۡبَصِيۡرُ ١١
42:11
[He is] Creator of the heavens and the earth. He has made for you mates from among yourselves, and mates from the cattle; He multiplies you thereby. There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing.
لَهٗ مَقَالِيۡدُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ ۚ يَبۡسُطُ الرِّزۡقَ لِمَنۡ يَّشَآءُ وَيَقۡدِرُ ؕ اِنَّهٗ بِكُلِّ شَىۡءٍ عَلِيۡمٌ ١٢
42:12
To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth. He extends provision for whom He wills and restricts [it]. Indeed, He is, of all things, Knowing.
شَرَعَ لَكُمۡ مِّنَ الدِّيۡنِ مَا وَصّٰى بِهٖ نُوۡحًا وَّالَّذِىۡۤ اَوۡحَيۡنَاۤ اِلَيۡكَ وَمَا وَصَّيۡنَا بِهٖۤ اِبۡرٰهِيۡمَ وَمُوۡسٰى وَعِيۡسٰىۤ اَنۡ اَقِيۡمُوا الدِّيۡنَ وَلَا تَتَفَرَّقُوۡا فِيۡهِ ؕ كَبُرَ عَلَى الۡمُشۡرِكِيۡنَ مَا تَدۡعُوۡهُمۡ اِلَيۡهِ ؕ اَللّٰهُ يَجۡتَبِىۡۤ اِلَيۡهِ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ وَيَهۡدِىۡۤ اِلَيۡهِ مَنۡ يُّنِيۡبُ ١٣
42:13
He has ordained for you of religion what He enjoined upon Noah and that which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what We enjoined upon Abraham and Moses and Jesus - to establish the religion and not be divided therein. Difficult for those who associate others with Allah is that to which you invite them. Allah chooses for Himself whom He wills and guides to Himself whoever turns back [to Him].
وَمَا تَفَرَّقُوۡۤا اِلَّا مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَآءَهُمُ الۡعِلۡمُ بَغۡيًا ۢ بَيۡنَهُمۡ ؕ وَلَوۡلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتۡ مِنۡ رَّبِّكَ اِلٰىۤ اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى لَّقُضِىَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ ؕ وَاِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ اُوۡرِثُوۡا الۡكِتٰبَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ لَفِىۡ شَكٍّ مِّنۡهُ مُرِيۡبٍ ١٤
42:14
And they did not become divided until after knowledge had come to them - out of jealous animosity between themselves. And if not for a word that preceded from your Lord [deferring punishment] until a specified time, it would have been concluded between them. And indeed, those who were granted inheritance of the Scripture after them are in disquieting doubt concerning it.
فَلِذٰلِكَ فَادۡعُ ۚ وَاسۡتَقِمۡ كَمَاۤ اُمِرۡتَ ۚ وَلَا تَتَّبِعۡ اَهۡوَآءَهُمۡ ۚ وَقُلۡ اٰمَنۡتُ بِمَاۤ اَنۡزَلَ اللّٰهُ مِنۡ كِتٰبٍ ۚ وَاُمِرۡتُ لِاَعۡدِلَ بَيۡنَكُمُ ؕ اَللّٰهُ رَبُّنَا وَرَبُّكُمۡ ؕ لَنَاۤ اَعۡمَالُنَا وَلَكُمۡ اَعۡمَالُكُمۡ ۚ لَا حُجَّةَ بَيۡنَنَا وَبَيۡنَكُمُ ؕ اَللّٰهُ يَجۡمَعُ بَيۡنَنَا ۚ وَاِلَيۡهِ الۡمَصِيۡرُ ١٥
42:15
So to that [religion of Allah] invite, and remain on a straight course as you were commanded, and do not follow their inclinations but say, "I have believed in what Allah has revealed of [the] Book, and I have been commanded to do justice among you. Allah is our Lord and your Lord. For us are our deeds, and for you are your deeds. There is no [need for] argument between us and you. Allah will bring us together, and to Him is the final destination."
وَالَّذِيۡنَ يُحَآجُّوۡنَ فِىۡ اللّٰهِ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَا اسۡتُجِيۡبَ لَهٗ حُجَّتُهُمۡ دَاحِضَةٌ عِنۡدَ رَبِّهِمۡ وَعَلَيۡهِمۡ غَضَبٌ وَّلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ شَدِيۡدٌ ١٦
42:16
And those who argue concerning Allah after He has been responded to - their argument is refuted with their Lord, and upon them is [His] wrath, and for them is a severe punishment.
اللّٰهُ الَّذِىۡۤ اَنۡزَلَ الۡكِتٰبَ بِالۡحَقِّ وَالۡمِيۡزَانَ ؕ وَمَا يُدۡرِيۡكَ لَعَلَّ السَّاعَةَ قَرِيۡبٌ ١٧
42:17
It is Allah who has sent down the Book in truth and the balance. And what will make you perceive that [perhaps] the Hour is near?
يَسۡتَعۡجِلُ بِهَا الَّذِيۡنَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِهَا ۚ وَالَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا مُشۡفِقُوۡنَ مِنۡهَا وَيَعۡلَمُوۡنَ اَنَّهَا الۡحَقُّ ؕ اَلَاۤ اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ يُمَارُوۡنَ فِىۡ السَّاعَةِ لَفِىۡ ضَلٰلٍ ۢ بَعِيۡدٍ ١٨
42:18
Those who do not believe in it seek to hasten it, but those who believe are fearful of it and know that it is the truth. Unquestionably, those who dispute concerning the Hour are in extreme error.
اللّٰهُ لَطِيۡفٌۢ بِعِبَادِهٖ يَرۡزُقُ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ ۚ وَهُوَ الۡقَوِىُّ الۡعَزِيۡزُ ١٩
42:19
Allah is subtle with His servants; He gives provision to whom He wills. And He is the Powerful, the Exalted in Might.
مَنۡ كَانَ يُرِيۡدُ حَرۡثَ الۡاٰخِرَةِ نَزِدۡ لَهٗ فِىۡ حَرۡثِهٖ ۚ وَمَنۡ كَانَ يُرِيۡدُ حَرۡثَ الدُّنۡيَا نُؤۡتِهٖ مِنۡهَا وَمَا لَهٗ فِىۡ الۡاٰخِرَةِ مِنۡ نَّصِيۡبٍ ٢٠
42:20
Whoever desires the harvest of the Hereafter - We increase for him in his harvest. And whoever desires the harvest of this world - We give him thereof, but there is not for him in the Hereafter any share.
اَمۡ لَهُمۡ شُرَكٰٓؤُا شَرَعُوۡا لَهُمۡ مِّنَ الدِّيۡنِ مَا لَمۡ يَاۡذَنۡۢ بِهِ اللّٰهُ ؕ وَلَوۡلَا كَلِمَةُ الۡفَصۡلِ لَقُضِىَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ ؕ وَاِنَّ الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ لَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ اَلِيۡمٌ ٢١
42:21
Or have they other deities who have ordained for them a religion which Allah has not permitted? But had it not been for the decisive word [i.e., decree from Allah], it would have been judged between them. And indeed, the wrongdoers will have a painful punishment.
تَرَى الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ مُشۡفِقِيۡنَ مِمَّا كَسَبُوۡا وَهُوَ وَاقِعٌۢ بِهِمۡ ؕ وَالَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوۡا الصّٰلِحٰتِ فِىۡ رَوۡضٰتِ الۡجَنّٰتِ ۚ لَهُمۡ مَّا يَشَآءُوۡنَ عِنۡدَ رَبِّهِمۡ ؕ ذٰلِكَ هُوَ الۡفَضۡلُ الۡكَبِيۡرُ ٢٢
42:22
You will see the wrongdoers fearful of what they have earned, and it will [surely] befall them. But those who have believed and done righteous deeds will be in the luxurious gardens of Paradise, having whatever they wish in the presence of their Lord. That is the great bounty.
ذٰلِكَ الَّذِىۡ يُبَشِّرُ اللّٰهُ عِبَادَهُ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوۡا الصّٰلِحٰتِ ؕ قُل لَّاۤ اَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ اَجۡرًا اِلَّا الۡمَوَدَّةَ فِىۡ الۡقُرۡبٰى ؕ وَمَنۡ يَقۡتَرِفۡ حَسَنَةً نَّزِدۡ لَهٗ فِيۡهَا حُسۡنًا ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُوۡرٌ شَكُوۡرٌ ٢٣
42:23
That is what Allah gives good tidings of to His servants who believe and do righteous deeds. Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for the reward for this [Qur'an] except affection for [my] kindred." And whoever earns a good deed - We will increase for him good therein. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Appreciative.
اَمۡ يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ افۡتَرٰى عَلَى اللّٰهِ كَذِبًا ۚ فَاِنۡ يَّشَاِ اللّٰهُ يَخۡتِمۡ عَلٰى قَلۡبِكَ ؕ وَيَمۡحُ اللّٰهُ الۡبَاطِلَ وَيُحِقُّ الۡحَقَّ بِكَلِمٰتِهٖ ؕ اِنَّهٗ عَلِيۡمٌ ۢ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُوۡرِ ٢٤
42:24
Or do they say, "He has invented about Allah a lie"? But if Allah had willed, He could have sealed over your heart. And Allah abolishes falsehood and confirms the truth by His words. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts.
وَهُوَ الَّذِىۡ يَقۡبَلُ التَّوۡبَةَ عَنۡ عِبَادِهٖ وَيَعۡفُوۡ عَنِ السَّيِّاٰتِ وَيَعۡلَمُ مَا تَفۡعَلُوۡنَ ٢٥
42:25
And it is He who accepts repentance from His servants and pardons sins, and He knows what you do.
وَيَسۡتَجِيۡبُ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ وَيَزِيۡدُهُمۡ مِّنۡ فَضۡلِهٖ ؕ وَالۡكٰفِرُوۡنَ لَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ شَدِيۡدٌ ٢٦
42:26
And He answers [the supplication of] those who have believed and done righteous deeds and increases [reward] for them from His bounty. But the disbelievers will have a severe punishment.
وَلَوۡ بَسَطَ اللّٰهُ الرِّزۡقَ لِعِبَادِهٖ لَبَغَوۡا فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ وَلٰكِنۡ يُنَزِّلُ بِقَدَرٍ مَّا يَشَآءُ ؕ اِنَّهٗ بِعِبَادِهٖ خَبِيۡرٌ ۢ بَصِيۡرٌ ٢٧
42:27
And if Allah had extended [unlimited] provision for His servants, they would have committed tyranny throughout the earth. But He sends down [provision] in due measure as He wills. Indeed, He is, of His servants, Acquainted and Seeing.
وَهُوَ الَّذِىۡ يُنَزِّلُ الۡغَيۡثَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَا قَنَطُوۡا وَيَنۡشُرُ رَحۡمَتَهٗ ؕ وَهُوَ الۡوَلِىُّ الۡحَمِيۡدُ ٢٨
42:28
And it is He who sends down the rain after they have despaired and spreads His mercy. And He is the Protector, the Praiseworthy.
وَمِنۡ اٰيٰتِهٖ خَلۡقُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ وَمَا بَثَّ فِيۡهِمَا مِنۡ دَآبَّةٍ ؕ وَهُوَ عَلٰى جَمۡعِهِمۡ اِذَا يَشَآءُ قَدِيۡرٌ ٢٩
42:29
And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and earth and what He has dispersed throughout them of creatures. And He, for gathering them when He wills, is competent.
وَمَاۤ اَصَابَكُمۡ مِّنۡ مُّصِيۡبَةٍ فَبِمَا كَسَبَتۡ اَيۡدِيۡكُمۡ وَيَعۡفُوۡ عَنۡ كَثِيۡرٍ ٣٠
42:30
And whatever disaster strikes you is for what your own hands have earned, and He pardons much.
وَمَاۤ اَنۡتُمۡ بِمُعۡجِزِيۡنَ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ ۚ وَمَا لَكُمۡ مِّنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ مِنۡ وَّلِىٍّ وَّلَا نَصِيۡرٍ ٣١
42:31
And you are not to cause failure [to Allah] upon the earth, and you have not besides Allah any protector or helper.
وَمِنۡ اٰيٰتِهِ الۡجَوَارِ فِىۡ الۡبَحۡرِ كَالۡاَعۡلَامِ ؕ ٣٢
42:32
And of His signs are the ships in the sea like mountains.
اِنۡ يَّشَاۡ يُسۡكِنِ الرِّيۡحَ فَيَظۡلَلۡنَ رَوَاكِدَ عَلٰى ظَهۡرِهٖ ؕ اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُوۡرٍ ۙ ٣٣
42:33
If He wills, He quiets the wind, and they remain motionless on its surface. Indeed in that are signs for everyone patient and grateful.
اَوۡ يُوۡبِقۡهُنَّ بِمَا كَسَبُوۡا وَيَعۡفُ عَنۡ كَثِيۡرٍ ۙ ٣٤
42:34
Or He wrecks them for what they earned, and He pardons much.
وَيَعۡلَمَ الَّذِيۡنَ يُجَادِلُوۡنَ فِىۡۤ اٰيٰتِنَا ؕ مَا لَهُمۡ مِّنۡ مَّحِيۡصٍ ٣٥
42:35
And those who dispute concerning Our signs may know that for them there is no place of escape.
فَمَاۤ اُوۡتِيۡتُمۡ مِّنۡ شَىۡءٍ فَمَتَاعُ الۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَا ۚ وَمَا عِنۡدَ اللّٰهِ خَيۡرٌ وَّاَبۡقٰى لِلَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَلٰى رَبِّهِمۡ يَتَوَكَّلُوۡنَ ۚ ٣٦
42:36
So whatever thing you have been given - it is but [for] the enjoyment of worldly life. But what is with Allah is better and more lasting for those who have believed and upon their Lord rely.
وَالَّذِيۡنَ يَجۡتَنِبُوۡنَ كَبٰٓئِرَ الۡاِثۡمِ وَالۡفَوَاحِشَ وَاِذَا مَا غَضِبُوۡا هُمۡ يَغۡفِرُوۡنَ ۚ ٣٧
42:37
And those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, and when they rage, they forgive;
وَالَّذِيۡنَ اسۡتَجَابُوۡا لِرَبِّهِمۡ وَاَقَامُوۡا الصَّلٰوةَ ۖ وَاَمۡرُهُمۡ شُوۡرٰى بَيۡنَهُمۡ ۖ وَمِمَّا رَزَقۡنٰهُمۡ يُنۡفِقُوۡنَ ۚ ٣٨
42:38
And those who have responded to their Lord and established prayer and whose affair is [determined by] consultation among themselves, and from what We have provided them, they spend.
وَالَّذِيۡنَ اِذَاۤ اَصَابَهُمُ الۡبَغۡىُ هُمۡ يَنۡتَصِرُوۡنَ ٣٩
42:39
And those who, when tyranny strikes them, they defend themselves,
وَجَزٰٓؤُا سَيِّئَةٍ سَيِّئَةٌ مِّثۡلُهَا ۚ فَمَنۡ عَفَا وَاَصۡلَحَ فَاَجۡرُهٗ عَلَى اللّٰهِ ؕ اِنَّهٗ لَا يُحِبُّ الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ ٤٠
42:40
And the recompense of an evil deed is an evil deed equal thereto. But whoever pardons and makes reconciliation - his reward is [due] from Allah. Indeed, He does not like wrongdoers.
وَلَمَنِ انۡتَصَرَ بَعۡدَ ظُلۡمِهٖ فَاُولٰٓئِكَ مَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ مِّنۡ سَبِيۡلٍ ؕ ٤١
42:41
And whoever defends himself after having been wronged - those [persons] are not to be blamed
اِنَّمَا السَّبِيۡلُ عَلَى الَّذِيۡنَ يَظۡلِمُوۡنَ النَّاسَ وَيَبۡغُوۡنَ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ بِغَيۡرِ الۡحَقِّ ؕ اُولٰٓئِكَ لَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ اَلِيۡمٌ ٤٢
42:42
The blame is only upon those who wrong the people and tyrannize upon the earth without right. Those will have a painful punishment.
وَلَمَنۡ صَبَرَ وَغَفَرَ اِنَّ ذٰلِكَ لَمِنۡ عَزۡمِ الۡاُمُوۡرِ ٤٣
42:43
And whoever is patient and forgives - indeed, that is of the matters [requiring] determination.
وَمَنۡ يُّضۡلِلِ اللّٰهُ فَمَا لَهٗ مِنۡ وَّلِىٍّ مِّنۡۢ بَعۡدِهٖ ؕ وَتَرَى الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ لَمَّا رَاَوۡا الۡعَذَابَ يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ هَلۡ اِلٰى مَرَدٍّ مِّنۡ سَبِيۡلٍ ۙ ٤٤
42:44
And he whom Allah leaves astray - for him there is no protector after Him. And you will see the wrongdoers, when they see the punishment, saying, "Is there any way to return [to the worldly life]?"
وَتَرٰٮهُمۡ يُعۡرَضُوۡنَ عَلَيۡهَا خٰشِعِيۡنَ مِنَ الذُّلِّ يَنۡظُرُوۡنَ مِنۡ طَرۡفٍ خَفِىٍّ ؕ وَقَالَ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا اِنَّ الۡخٰسِرِيۡنَ الَّذِيۡنَ خَسِرُوۡۤا اَنۡفُسَهُمۡ وَاَهۡلِيۡهِمۡ يَوۡمَ الۡقِيٰمَةِ ؕ اَلَاۤ اِنَّ الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ فِىۡ عَذَابٍ مُّقِيۡمٍ ٤٥
42:45
And you will see them being exposed to it, humbled from humiliation, looking from [behind] a covert glance. And those who believed will say, "Indeed, the losers are the ones who lost themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection. Unquestionably, the wrongdoers are in lasting punishment."
وَمَا كَانَ لَهُمۡ مِّنۡ اَوۡلِيَآءَ يَنۡصُرُوۡنَهُمۡ مِّنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ ؕ وَمَنۡ يُّضۡلِلِ اللّٰهُ فَمَا لَهٗ مِنۡ سَبِيۡلٍ ٤٦
42:46
And there will be for them no allies to aid them other than Allah. And he whom Allah leaves astray - there is for him no way [of return].
اِسۡتَجِيۡبُوۡا لِرَبِّكُمۡ مِّنۡ قَبۡلِ اَنۡ يَّاۡتِىَ يَوۡمٌ لَّا مَرَدَّ لَهٗ مِنَ اللّٰهِ ؕ مَا لَكُمۡ مِّنۡ مَّلۡجَاٍ يَوۡمَئِذٍ وَّمَا لَكُمۡ مِّنۡ نَّكِيۡرٍ ٤٧
42:47
Respond to your Lord before there comes from Allah a Day for which there will be no repelling. You will have no refuge that day, nor will you have cause to deny [your sins].
فَاِنۡ اَعۡرَضُوۡا فَمَاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنٰكَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ حَفِيۡظًا ؕ اِنۡ عَلَيۡكَ اِلَّا الۡبَلٰغُ ؕ وَاِنَّاۤ اِذَاۤ اَذَقۡنَا الۡاِنۡسَانَ مِنَّا رَحۡمَةً فَرِحَ بِهَا ۚ وَاِنۡ تُصِبۡهُمۡ سَيِّئَةٌۢ بِمَا قَدَّمَتۡ اَيۡدِيۡهِمۡ فَاِنَّ الۡاِنۡسَانَ كَفُوۡرٌ ٤٨
42:48
But if they turn away - then We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], over them as a guardian; upon you is only [the duty of] notification. And indeed, when We let man taste mercy from us, he rejoices in it; but if evil afflicts them for what their hands have put forth, then indeed, is man ungrateful.
لِلّٰهِ مُلۡكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ ؕ يَخۡلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُ ؕ يَهَبُ لِمَنۡ يَّشَآءُ اِنَاثًا وَّيَهَبُ لِمَنۡ يَّشَآءُ الذُّكُوۡرَ ۙ ٤٩
42:49
To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. He creates what He wills. He gives to whom He wills female [children], and He gives to whom He wills males.
اَوۡ يُزَوِّجُهُمۡ ذُكۡرَانًا وَّاِنَاثًا ۚ وَيَجۡعَلُ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ عَقِيۡمًا ؕ اِنَّهٗ عَلِيۡمٌ قَدِيۡرٌ ٥٠
42:50
Or He makes them [both] males and females, and He renders whom He wills barren. Indeed, He is Knowing and Competent.
وَمَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ اَنۡ يُّكَلِّمَهُ اللّٰهُ اِلَّا وَحۡيًا اَوۡ مِنۡ وَّرَآئِ حِجَابٍ اَوۡ يُرۡسِلَ رَسُوۡلًا فَيُوۡحِىَ بِاِذۡنِهٖ مَا يَشَآءُ ؕ اِنَّهٗ عَلِىٌّ حَكِيۡمٌ ٥١
42:51
And it is not for any human being that Allah should speak to him except by [direct] inspiration or from behind a partition or that He sends a messenger to reveal by His permission whatever He wills. Indeed, He is Most High, All-Wise.
وَكَذٰلِكَ اَوۡحَيۡنَاۤ اِلَيۡكَ رُوۡحًا مِّنۡ اَمۡرِنَا ؕ مَا كُنۡتَ تَدۡرِىۡ مَا الۡكِتٰبُ وَلَا الۡاِيۡمَانُ وَلٰكِنۡ جَعَلۡنٰهُ نُوۡرًا نَّهۡدِىۡ بِهٖ مَنۡ نَّشَآءُ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ؕ وَاِنَّكَ لَتَهۡدِىۡۤ اِلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسۡتَقِيۡمٍ ۙ ٥٢
42:52
And thus We have sent to you an inspiration of Our command. You did not know what the Scripture was or [what] the faith [was]. But We have made it a light by which We guide whom We will of Our servants. And indeed, [O Muhammad], you guide to a straight path -
صِرَاطِ اللّٰهِ الَّذِىۡ لَهٗ مَا فِىۡ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ ؕ اَلَاۤ اِلَى اللّٰهِ تَصِيۡرُ الۡاُمُوۡرُ ٥٣
42:53
The path of Allah, to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Unquestionably, to Allah do [all] matters evolve.
حٰمٓ ١
43:1
Ḥā. Mīm.
وَالۡكِتٰبِ الۡمُبِيۡنِ ۙ ٢
43:2
By the clear Book,
اِنَّا جَعَلۡنٰهُ قُرۡاٰنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَّعَلَّكُمۡ تَعۡقِلُوۡنَ ۚ ٣
43:3
Indeed, We have made it an Arabic Qur'an that you might understand.
وَاِنَّهٗ فِىۡۤ اُمِّ الۡكِتٰبِ لَدَيۡنَا لَعَلِىٌّ حَكِيۡمٌ ؕ ٤
43:4
And indeed it is, in the Mother of the Book [i.e., the Preserved Tablet] with Us, exalted and full of wisdom.
اَفَنَضۡرِبُ عَنۡكُمُ الذِّكۡرَ صَفۡحًا اَنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ قَوۡمًا مُّسۡرِفِيۡنَ ٥
43:5
Then should We withhold the message from you because you are a transgressing people?
وَكَمۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَا مِنۡ نَّبِىٍّ فِىۡ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ ٦
43:6
And how many a prophet did We send among the former peoples,
وَمَا يَاۡتِيۡهِمۡ مِّنۡ نَّبِىٍّ اِلَّا كَانُوۡا بِهٖ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُوۡنَ ٧
43:7
And no prophet came to them except that they ridiculed him.
فَاَهۡلَكۡنَاۤ اَشَدَّ مِنۡهُمۡ بَطۡشًا وَّمَضَىٰ مَثَلُ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ ٨
43:8
So We destroyed [peoples] stronger than them in might, and the example of the former peoples has passed on.
وَلَئِنۡ سَاَلۡتَهُمۡ مَّنۡ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضَ لَيَقُوۡلُنَّ خَلَقَهُنَّ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الۡعَلِيۡمُ ۙ ٩
43:9
And if you asked them, "Who created the heavens and the earth?" they would surely say, "They were created by the Exalted in Might, the Knowing."
الَّذِىۡ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الۡاَرۡضَ مَهۡدًا وَّجَعَلَ لَكُمۡ فِيۡهَا سُبُلًا لَّعَلَّكُمۡ تَهۡتَدُوۡنَ ۚ ١٠
43:10
[He] who made for you the earth a resting place and made for you in it roads that you might be guided -
وَالَّذِىۡ نَزَّلَ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ مَآءًۢ بِقَدَرٍ ۚ فَاَنۡشَرۡنَا بِهٖ بَلۡدَةً مَّيۡتًا ۚ كَذٰلِكَ تُخۡرَجُوۡنَ ١١
43:11
And who sends down from the sky water, in measure, and We revive thereby a dead land - thus will you be removed [from the graves].
وَالَّذِىۡ خَلَقَ الۡاَزۡوَاجَ كُلَّهَا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمۡ مِّنَ الۡفُلۡكِ وَالۡاَنۡعَامِ مَا تَرۡكَبُوۡنَ ۙ ١٢
43:12
And [He] who created the species, all of them, and appointed for you of ships and animals those which you ride
لِتَسۡتَوُوۡا عَلٰى ظُهُوۡرِهٖ ثُمَّ تَذۡكُرُوۡا نِعۡمَةَ رَبِّكُمۡ اِذَا اسۡتَوَيۡتُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ وَتَقُوۡلُوۡا سُبۡحٰنَ الَّذِىۡ سَخَّرَ لَنَا هٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهٗ مُقۡرِنِيۡنَ ۙ ١٣
43:13
That you may settle yourselves upon their backs and then remember the favor of your Lord when you settle upon them and say, "Exalted is He who has subjected this to us, and we could not have [otherwise] subdued it,
وَاِنَّاۤ اِلٰى رَبِّنَا لَمُنۡقَلِبُوۡنَ ١٤
43:14
And indeed, to our Lord we will return."
وَجَعَلُوۡا لَهٗ مِنۡ عِبَادِهٖ جُزۡءًا ؕ اِنَّ الۡاِنۡسَانَ لَكَفُوۡرٌ مُّبِيۡنٌ ١٥
43:15
But they have attributed to Him among His servants a share [of His divinity]. Indeed, is man clearly ungrateful.
اَمِ اتَّخَذَ مِمَّا يَخۡلُقُ بَنٰتٍ وَّاَصۡفٰٮكُمۡ بِالۡبَنِيۡنَ ؕ ١٦
43:16
Or has He taken, out of those He creates, daughters and chosen you [men] to have sons?
وَاِذَا بُشِّرَ اَحَدُهُمۡ بِمَا ضَرَبَ لِلرَّحۡمٰنِ مَثَلًا ظَلَّ وَجۡهُهٗ مُسۡوَدًّا وَّهُوَ كَظِيۡمٌ ١٧
43:17
And when one of them is given good tidings of that which he attributes to the Most Merciful in comparison, his face remains darkened, while he is suppressed by grief.
اَوَمَنۡ يُّنَشَّاُ فِىۡ الۡحِلۡيَةِ وَهُوَ فِىۡ الۡخِصَامِ غَيۡرُ مُبِيۡنٍ ١٨
43:18
Or [is it He who is] brought up in ornaments while he is in conflict unaccustomed to make clear?
وَجَعَلُوۡا الۡمَلٰٓئِكَةَ الَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ عِبٰدُ الرَّحۡمٰنِ اِنَاثًا ؕ اَشَهِدُوۡا خَلۡقَهُمۡ ؕ سَتُكۡتَبُ شَهٰدَتُهُمۡ وَيُسۡـَٔلُوۡنَ ۙ ١٩
43:19
And they have made the angels, who are servants of the Most Merciful, females. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony will be recorded, and they will be questioned.
وَقَالُوۡا لَوۡ شَآءَ الرَّحۡمٰنُ مَا عَبَدۡنٰهُمۡ ؕ مَّا لَهُمۡ بِذٰلِكَ مِنۡ عِلۡمٍ ؕ اِنۡ هُمۡ اِلَّا يَخۡرُصُوۡنَ ٢٠
43:20
And they said, "If the Most Merciful had willed, we would not have worshipped them." They have no knowledge of that; they are only lying.
اَمۡ اٰتَيۡنٰهُمۡ كِتٰبًا مِّنۡ قَبۡلِهٖ فَهُمۡ بِهٖ مُسۡتَمۡسِكُوۡنَ ٢١
43:21
Or did We give them a book before it, to which they are adhering?
بَلۡ قَالُوۡۤا اِنَّا وَجَدۡنَاۤ اٰبَآءَنَا عَلٰٓى اُمَّةٍ وَّاِنَّا عَلٰٓى اٰثٰرِهِمۡ مُّهۡتَدُوۡنَ ٢٢
43:22
Rather, they say, "Indeed, we found our fathers upon a religion, and we are in their footsteps [rightly] guided."
وَكَذٰلِكَ مَاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَا مِنۡ قَبۡلِكَ فِىۡ قَرۡيَةٍ مِّنۡ نَّذِيۡرٍ اِلَّا قَالَ مُتۡرَفُوۡهَاۤ اِنَّا وَجَدۡنَاۤ اٰبَآءَنَا عَلٰٓى اُمَّةٍ وَّاِنَّا عَلٰٓى اٰثٰرِهِمۡ مُّقۡتَدُوۡنَ ٢٣
43:23
And similarly, We did not send before you into any city a warner except that its affluent ones said, "Indeed, we found our fathers upon a religion, and we are, in their footsteps, following."
قَالَ اَوَلَوۡ جِئۡتُكُمۡ بِاَهۡدٰى مِمَّا وَجَدۡتُّمۡ عَلَيۡهِ اٰبَآءَكُمۡ ؕ قَالُوۡۤا اِنَّا بِمَاۤ اُرۡسِلۡتُمۡ بِهٖ كٰفِرُوۡنَ ٢٤
43:24
He said, "Even if I brought you better guidance than that upon which you found your fathers?" They said, "Indeed, we are disbelievers in that with which you were sent."
فَانۡتَقَمۡنَا مِنۡهُمۡ فَانۡظُرۡ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الۡمُكَذِّبِيۡنَ ؕ ٢٥
43:25
So We took retribution from them; then look how was the end of the deniers.
وَاِذۡ قَالَ اِبۡرٰهِيۡمُ لِاَبِيۡهِ وَقَوۡمِهٖۤ اِنَّنِىۡ بَرَآءٌ مِّمَّا تَعۡبُدُوۡنَ ۙ ٢٦
43:26
And [mention, O Muhammad], when Abraham said to his father and his people, "Indeed, I am disassociated from that which you worship,
اِلَّا الَّذِىۡ فَطَرَنِىۡ فَاِنَّهٗ سَيَهۡدِيۡنِ ٢٧
43:27
Except for He who created me; for indeed, He will guide me."
وَجَعَلَهَا كَلِمَةً بَاقِيَةً فِىۡ عَقِبِهٖ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَرۡجِعُوۡنَ ٢٨
43:28
And he made it a word remaining among his descendants that they might return [to it].
بَلۡ مَتَّعۡتُ هٰٓؤُلَآءِ وَاٰبَآءَهُمۡ حَتّٰى جَآءَهُمُ الۡحَقُّ وَرَسُوۡلٌ مُّبِيۡنٌ ؕ ٢٩
43:29
But I gave enjoyment to these [people of Makkah] and their fathers until the truth and a clear messenger came to them.
وَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمُ الۡحَقُّ قَالُوۡا هٰذَا سِحۡرٌ وَّاِنَّا بِهٖ كٰفِرُوۡنَ ٣٠
43:30
And when the truth came to them, they said, "This is magic, and indeed we are disbelievers in it."
وَقَالُوۡا لَوۡلَا نُزِّلَ هٰذَا الۡقُرۡاٰنُ عَلٰى رَجُلٍ مِّنَ الۡقَرۡيَتَيۡنِ عَظِيۡمٍ ٣١
43:31
And they said, "Why was this Qur'an not sent down upon a great man from [one of] the two cities [Makkah or Ṭā’if]?"
اَهُمۡ يَقۡسِمُوۡنَ رَحۡمَةَ رَبِّكَ ؕ نَحۡنُ قَسَمۡنَا بَيۡنَهُمۡ مَّعِيۡشَتَهُمۡ فِىۡ الۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَا ۚ وَرَفَعۡنَا بَعۡضَهُمۡ فَوۡقَ بَعۡضٍ دَرَجٰتٍ لِّيَتَّخِذَ بَعۡضُهُمۡ بَعۡضًا سُخۡرِيًّا ؕ وَرَحۡمَتُ رَبِّكَ خَيۡرٌ مِّمَّا يَجۡمَعُوۡنَ ٣٢
43:32
Do they apportion the mercy of your Lord? It is We who have apportioned among them their livelihood in the worldly life and have raised some of them above others in degrees [of rank] that they may make one another subservient. But the mercy of your Lord is better than whatever they accumulate.
وَلَوۡلَاۤ اَنۡ يَّكُوۡنَ النَّاسُ اُمَّةً وَّاحِدَةً لَّجَعَلۡنَا لِمَنۡ يَّكۡفُرُ بِالرَّحۡمٰنِ لِبُيُوۡتِهِمۡ سُقُفًا مِّنۡ فِضَّةٍ وَّمَعَارِجَ عَلَيۡهَا يَظۡهَرُوۡنَ ۙ ٣٣
43:33
And if it were not that the people would become of one community [of disbelievers], We would have made for those who disbelieve in the Most Merciful - for their houses - ceilings and stairways of silver upon which to ascend,
وَلِبُيُوۡتِهِمۡ اَبۡوَابًا وَّسُرُرًا عَلَيۡهَا يَتَّكِــُٔوۡنَ ۙ ٣٤
43:34
And for their houses doors and couches, upon which they could recline,
وَزُخۡرُفًا ؕ وَاِنۡ كُلُّ ذٰلِكَ لَمَّا مَتَاعُ الۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَا ؕ وَالۡاٰخِرَةُ عِنۡدَ رَبِّكَ لِلۡمُتَّقِيۡنَ ٣٥
43:35
And gold adornments. But all that is not except the enjoyment of worldly life. And the Hereafter with your Lord is for the righteous.
وَمَنۡ يَّعۡشُ عَنۡ ذِكۡرِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ نُقَيِّضۡ لَهٗ شَيۡطٰنًا فَهُوَ لَهٗ قَرِيۡنٌ ٣٦
43:36
And whoever is blinded from remembrance of the Most Merciful - We appoint for him a devil, and he is to him a companion.
وَاِنَّهُمۡ لَيَصُدُّوۡنَهُمۡ عَنِ السَّبِيۡلِ وَيَحۡسَبُوۡنَ اَنَّهُمۡ مُّهۡتَدُوۡنَ ؕ ٣٧
43:37
And indeed, the devils avert them from the way [of guidance] while they think that they are [rightly] guided.
حَتّٰىۤ اِذَا جَآءَنَا قَالَ يٰلَيۡتَ بَيۡنِىۡ وَبَيۡنَكَ بُعۡدَ الۡمَشۡرِقَيۡنِ فَبِئۡسَ الۡقَرِيۡنُ ٣٨
43:38
Until, when he comes to Us [on the Day of Judgement], he says [to his companion], "Oh, would that between me and you was the distance between the two easts - an evil companion, indeed!"
وَلَنۡ يَّنۡفَعَكُمُ الۡيَوۡمَ اِذۡ ظَلَمۡتُمۡ اَنَّكُمۡ فِىۡ الۡعَذَابِ مُشۡتَرِكُوۡنَ ٣٩
43:39
And [it will be said], "Never will it benefit you that you committed wrong, for you are in the punishment sharing [the guilt]."
اَفَاَنۡتَ تُسۡمِعُ الصُّمَّ اَوۡ تَهۡدِىۡ الۡعُمۡىَ وَمَنۡ كَانَ فِىۡ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِيۡنٍ ٤٠
43:40
Then will you [O Muhammad] make the deaf hear or guide the blind or he who is in manifest error?
فَاِمَّا نَذۡهَبَنَّ بِكَ فَاِنَّا مِنۡهُمۡ مُّنۡتَقِمُوۡنَ ۙ ٤١
43:41
And whether We take you away [by death] - indeed, We will take retribution upon them,
اَوۡ نُرِيَنَّكَ الَّذِىۡ وَعَدۡنٰهُمۡ فَاِنَّا عَلَيۡهِمۡ مُّقۡتَدِرُوۡنَ ٤٢
43:42
Or [whether] We show you that which We have promised them, for indeed, We are competent to do so.
فَاسۡتَمۡسِكۡ بِالَّذِىۡۤ اُوۡحِىَ اِلَيۡكَ ۚ اِنَّكَ عَلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسۡتَقِيۡمٍ ٤٣
43:43
So adhere to that which has been revealed to you. Indeed, you are on a straight path.
وَاِنَّهٗ لَذِكۡرٌ لَّكَ وَلِقَوۡمِكَ ۚ وَسَوۡفَ تُسۡـَٔلُوۡنَ ٤٤
43:44
And indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder for you and your people, and you are going to be questioned.
وَسۡـَٔلۡ مَنۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَا مِنۡ قَبۡلِكَ مِنۡ رُّسُلِنَاۤ اَجَعَلۡنَا مِنۡ دُوۡنِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ اٰلِهَةً يُّعۡبَدُوۡنَ ٤٥
43:45
And ask [O Muhammad] those of Our messengers whom We sent before you; have We made besides the Most Merciful any deities to be worshipped?
وَلَقَدۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَا مُوۡسٰى بِاٰيٰتِنَاۤ اِلٰى فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَمَلَاِْ۠ئِهٖ فَقَالَ اِنِّىۡ رَسُوۡلُ رَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ ٤٦
43:46
And We certainly sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his establishment, and he said, "Indeed, I am a messenger of the Lord of the worlds."
فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمۡ بِاٰيٰتِنَاۤ اِذَا هُمۡ مِّنۡهَا يَضۡحَكُوۡنَ ٤٧
43:47
But when he brought them Our signs, suddenly they were laughing at them.
وَمَا نُرِيۡهِمۡ مِّنۡ اٰيَةٍ اِلَّا هِىَ اَكۡبَرُ مِنۡ اُخۡتِهَا ؕ وَاَخَذۡنٰهُمۡ بِالۡعَذَابِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَرۡجِعُوۡنَ ٤٨
43:48
And We showed them not a sign except that it was greater than its sister, and We seized them with the punishment that perhaps they might return [to faith].
وَقَالُوۡا يٰۤاَيُّهَ السَّاحِرُ ادۡعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ بِمَا عَهِدَ عِنۡدَكَ اِنَّنَا لَمُهۡتَدُوۡنَ ٤٩
43:49
And they said, "O magician, invoke for us your Lord by what He has covenanted with you; indeed, we will be guided."
فَلَمَّا كَشَفۡنَا عَنۡهُمُ الۡعَذَابَ اِذَا هُمۡ يَنۡكُثُوۡنَ ٥٠
43:50
But when We removed from them the punishment, immediately they broke their word.
وَنَادٰى فِرۡعَوۡنُ فِىۡ قَوۡمِهٖ قَالَ يٰقَوۡمِ اَلَيۡسَ لِىۡ مُلۡكُ مِصۡرَ وَهٰذِهِ الۡاَنۡهٰرُ تَجۡرِىۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِىۡ ؕ اَفَلَا تُبۡصِرُوۡنَ ۙ ٥١
43:51
And Pharaoh called out among his people, saying, "O my people, does not the kingdom of Egypt belong to me, and these rivers flowing beneath me? Then do you not see?
اَمۡ اَنَا خَيۡرٌ مِّنۡ هٰذَا الَّذِىۡ هُوَ مَهِيۡنٌ وَّلَا يَكَادُ يُبِيۡنُ ٥٢
43:52
Or am I better than this one, who is contemptible and can hardly make [himself] clear?
فَلَوۡلَاۤ اُلۡقِىَ عَلَيۡهِ اَسۡوِرَةٌ مِّنۡ ذَهَبٍ اَوۡ جَآءَ مَعَهُ الۡمَلٰٓئِكَةُ مُقۡتَرِنِيۡنَ ٥٣
43:53
Then why have not bracelets of gold been put upon him, or [why has not] there come with him the angels in [successive] company?"
فَاسۡتَخَفَّ قَوۡمَهٗ فَاَطَاعُوۡهُ ؕ اِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوۡا قَوۡمًا فٰسِقِيۡنَ ٥٤
43:54
So he (Pharaoh) swayed his people, and they obeyed him. Indeed, they were a defiantly disobedient people.
فَلَمَّاۤ اٰسَفُوۡنَا انۡتَقَمۡنَا مِنۡهُمۡ فَاَغۡرَقۡنٰهُمۡ اَجۡمَعِيۡنَ ٥٥
43:55
And when they angered Us, We took retribution from them and drowned them all.
فَجَعَلۡنٰهُمۡ سَلَفًا وَّمَثَلًا لِّلۡاٰخِرِيۡنَ ٥٦
43:56
And We made them a precedent and an example for the later peoples.
وَلَمَّا ضُرِبَ ابۡنُ مَرۡيَمَ مَثَلًا اِذَا قَوۡمُكَ مِنۡهُ يَصِدُّوۡنَ ۙ ٥٧
43:57
And when the son of Mary was presented as an example, immediately your people laughed aloud.
وَقَالُوۡۤا ءَاٰلِهَتُنَا خَيۡرٌ اَمۡ هُوَ ؕ مَا ضَرَبُوۡهُ لَكَ اِلَّا جَدَلًا ؕ بَلۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمٌ خَصِمُوۡنَ ٥٨
43:58
And they said, "Are our gods better, or is he [Jesus]?" They did not present the comparison except for argument. But [in fact], they are a quarrelsome people.
اِنۡ هُوَ اِلَّا عَبۡدٌ اَنۡعَمۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ وَجَعَلۡنٰهُ مَثَلًا لِّبَنِىۡۤ اِسۡرٰٓءِيۡلَ ٥٩
43:59
He (Jesus) was not but a servant upon whom We bestowed favor, and We made him an example for the Children of Israel.
وَلَوۡ نَشَآءُ لَجَعَلۡنَا مِنۡكُمۡ مَّلٰٓئِكَةً فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ يَخۡلُفُوۡنَ ٦٠
43:60
And if We willed, We could make [instead] of you angels succeeding [one another] on the earth.
وَاِنَّهٗ لَعِلۡمٌ لِّلسَّاعَةِ فَلَا تَمۡتَرُنَّ بِهَا وَاتَّبِعُوۡنِ ؕ هٰذَا صِرٰطٌ مُّسۡتَقِيۡمٌ ٦١
43:61
And indeed, Jesus will be [a sign for] knowledge of the Hour, so do not be in doubt of it and follow Me. This is a straight path.
وَلَا يَصُدَّنَّكُمُ الشَّيۡطٰنُ ۚ اِنَّهٗ لَكُمۡ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِيۡنٌ ٦٢
43:62
And never let Satan avert you. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.
وَلَمَّا جَآءَ عِيۡسٰى بِالۡبَيِّنٰتِ قَالَ قَدۡ جِئۡتُكُمۡ بِالۡحِكۡمَةِ وَلِاُبَيِّنَ لَكُمۡ بَعۡضَ الَّذِىۡ تَخۡتَلِفُوۡنَ فِيۡهِ ۚ فَاتَّقُوۡا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيۡعُوۡنِ ٦٣
43:63
And when Jesus brought clear proofs, he said, "I have come to you with wisdom and to make clear to you some of that over which you differ, so fear Allah and obey me.
اِنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ رَبِّىۡ وَرَبُّكُمۡ فَاعۡبُدُوۡهُ ؕ هٰذَا صِرٰطٌ مُّسۡتَقِيۡمٌ ٦٤
43:64
Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is a straight path."
فَاخۡتَلَفَ الۡاَحۡزَابُ مِنۡۢ بَيۡنِهِمۡ ۚ فَوَيۡلٌ لِّلَّذِيۡنَ ظَلَمُوۡا مِنۡ عَذَابِ يَوۡمٍ اَلِيۡمٍ ٦٥
43:65
But the factions from among them differed [over the nature of Jesus]. So woe to those who wronged from the punishment of a painful Day.
هَلۡ يَنۡظُرُوۡنَ اِلَّا السَّاعَةَ اَنۡ تَاۡتِيَهُمۡ بَغۡتَةً وَّهُمۡ لَا يَشۡعُرُوۡنَ ٦٦
43:66
Do they await except the Hour - that it should come upon them unexpectedly while they perceive not?
الۡاَخِلَّآءُ يَوۡمَئِذٍۢ بَعۡضُهُمۡ لِبَعۡضٍ عَدُوٌّ اِلَّا الۡمُتَّقِيۡنَ ؕ ٦٧
43:67
Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to one another, except for the righteous.
يٰعِبَادِ لَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَيۡكُمُ الۡيَوۡمَ وَلَاۤ اَنۡتُمۡ تَحۡزَنُوۡنَ ۚ ٦٨
43:68
[Allah will say], "O My servants, no fear will there be concerning you this Day, nor will you grieve,
الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا بِاٰيٰتِنَا وَكَانُوۡا مُسۡلِمِيۡنَ ؕ ٦٩
43:69
Those who believed in Our verses and were Muslims.
ادۡخُلُوۡا الۡجَنَّةَ اَنۡتُمۡ وَاَزۡوَاجُكُمۡ تُحۡبَرُوۡنَ ٧٠
43:70
Enter Paradise, you and your spouses, in happiness."
يُطَافُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ بِصِحَافٍ مِّنۡ ذَهَبٍ وَّاَكۡوَابٍ ۚ وَفِيۡهَا مَا تَشۡتَهِيۡهِ الۡاَنۡفُسُ وَتَلَذُّ الۡاَعۡيُنُ ۚ وَاَنۡتُمۡ فِيۡهَا خٰلِدُوۡنَ ۚ ٧١
43:71
Circulated among them will be plates of gold and cups, and therein is whatever the souls desire and [what] delights the eyes, and you will abide therein eternally.
وَتِلۡكَ الۡجَنَّةُ الَّتِىۡۤ اُوۡرِثۡتُمُوۡهَا بِمَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ٧٢
43:72
And that is Paradise which you are made to inherit for what you used to do.
لَكُمۡ فِيۡهَا فَاكِهَةٌ كَثِيۡرَةٌ مِّنۡهَا تَاۡكُلُوۡنَ ٧٣
43:73
For you therein is much fruit from which you will eat.
اِنَّ الۡمُجۡرِمِيۡنَ فِىۡ عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ خٰلِدُوۡنَ ۚ ٧٤
43:74
Indeed, the criminals will be in the punishment of Hell, abiding eternally.
لَا يُفَتَّرُ عَنۡهُمۡ وَهُمۡ فِيۡهِ مُبۡلِسُوۡنَ ۚ ٧٥
43:75
It will not be eased for them, and they will be in it in despair.
وَمَا ظَلَمۡنٰهُمۡ وَلٰكِنۡ كَانُوۡا هُمُ الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ ٧٦
43:76
And We did not wrong them, but it was they who were the wrongdoers.
وَنَادَوۡا يٰمٰلِكُ لِيَقۡضِ عَلَيۡنَا رَبُّكَ ؕ قَالَ اِنَّكُمۡ مّٰكِثُوۡنَ ٧٧
43:77
And they will call, "O Malik, let your Lord put an end to us!" He will say, "Indeed, you will remain."
لَقَدۡ جِئۡنٰكُمۡ بِالۡحَقِّ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكۡثَرَكُمۡ لِلۡحَقِّ كٰرِهُوۡنَ ٧٨
43:78
We had certainly brought you the truth, but most of you, to the truth, were averse.
اَمۡ اَبۡرَمُوۡۤا اَمۡرًا فَاِنَّا مُبۡرِمُوۡنَ ۙ ٧٩
43:79
Or have they made an affair [i.e., determined a plan]? Indeed, We are planning [too].
اَمۡ يَحۡسَبُوۡنَ اَنَّا لَا نَسۡمَعُ سِرَّهُمۡ وَنَجۡوٰٮهُمۡ ؕ بَلٰى وَرُسُلُنَا لَدَيۡهِمۡ يَكۡتُبُوۡنَ ٨٠
43:80
Or do they think that We hear not their secrets and their private talk? Yes, [We do], and Our messengers are with them recording.
قُلۡ اِنۡ كَانَ لِلرَّحۡمٰنِ وَلَدٌ فَاَنَا اَوَّلُ الۡعٰبِدِيۡنَ ؕ ٨١
43:81
Say, [O Muhammad], "If the Most Merciful had a son, then I would be the first of [His] worshippers."
سُبۡحٰنَ رَبِّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ رَبِّ الۡعَرۡشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُوۡنَ ٨٢
43:82
Exalted is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, Lord of the Throne, above what they describe.
فَذَرۡهُمۡ يَخُوۡضُوۡا وَيَلۡعَبُوۡا حَتّٰى يُلٰقُوۡا يَوۡمَهُمُ الَّذِىۡ يُوۡعَدُوۡنَ ٨٣
43:83
So leave them to immerse [themselves] in vain talk and amusement until they meet their Day which they are promised.
وَهُوَ الَّذِىۡ فِىۡ السَّمَآءِ اِلٰهٌ وَّفِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ اِلٰهٌ ؕ وَهُوَ الۡحَكِيۡمُ الۡعَلِيۡمُ ٨٤
43:84
And it is He who is [the only] God in the heaven and [the only] God on the earth. And He is the Wise, the Knowing.
وَتَبٰرَكَ الَّذِىۡ لَهٗ مُلۡكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا ۚ وَعِنۡدَهٗ عِلۡمُ السَّاعَةِ ۚ وَاِلَيۡهِ تُرۡجَعُوۡنَ ٨٥
43:85
And blessed is He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them. And with Him is the knowledge of the Hour, and to Him you will be returned.
وَلَا يَمۡلِكُ الَّذِيۡنَ يَدۡعُوۡنَ مِنۡ دُوۡنِهِ الشَّفَاعَةَ اِلَّا مَنۡ شَهِدَ بِالۡحَقِّ وَهُمۡ يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ٨٦
43:86
And those whom they invoke besides Him do not possess [power of] intercession; but only those who testify to the truth [i.e., the oneness of Allah] and they know.
وَلَئِنۡ سَاَلۡتَهُمۡ مَّنۡ خَلَقَهُمۡ لَيَقُوۡلُنَّ اللّٰهُ ۫ فَاَنّٰى يُؤۡفَكُوۡنَ ؕ ٨٧
43:87
And if you asked them who created them, they would surely say, "Allah." So how are they deluded?
وَقِيۡلِهٖ يٰرَبِّ اِنَّ هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ قَوۡمٌ لَّا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ ٨٨
43:88
And [Allah knows] his statement, "O my Lord, indeed these are a people who will not believe."
فَاصۡفَحۡ عَنۡهُمۡ وَقُلۡ سَلٰمٌ ؕ فَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ٨٩
43:89
But pardon them and say, "Peace," for they are going to know.
حٰمٓ ١
44:1
Ḥā. Mīm.
وَالۡكِتٰبِ الۡمُبِيۡنِ ۙ ٢
44:2
By the clear Book,
اِنَّاۤ اَنۡزَلۡنٰهُ فِىۡ لَيۡلَةٍ مُّبٰرَكَةٍ اِنَّا كُنَّا مُنۡذِرِيۡنَ ٣
44:3
Indeed, We sent it down during a blessed night. Indeed, We were to warn [mankind].
فِيۡهَا يُفۡرَقُ كُلُّ اَمۡرٍ حَكِيۡمٍ ۙ ٤
44:4
Therein is made distinct every precise matter -
اَمۡرًا مِّنۡ عِنۡدِنَا ؕ اِنَّا كُنَّا مُرۡسِلِيۡنَ ۙ ٥
44:5
[As] a command [i.e., revelation] from Us. Indeed, We were to send [a messenger].
رَحۡمَةً مِّنۡ رَّبِّكَ ؕ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ السَّمِيۡعُ الۡعَلِيۡمُ ۙ ٦
44:6
[As] mercy from your Lord. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
رَبِّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا ۘ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ مُّوۡقِنِيۡنَ ٧
44:7
Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, if you would be certain.
لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ يُحۡيِۦ وَيُمِيۡتُ ؕ رَبُّكُمۡ وَرَبُّ اٰبَآئِكُمُ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ ٨
44:8
There is no deity except Him; He gives life and causes death. [He is] your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers.
بَلۡ هُمۡ فِىۡ شَكٍّ يَّلۡعَبُوۡنَ ٩
44:9
But they are in doubt, amusing themselves.
فَارۡتَقِبۡ يَوۡمَ تَاۡتِىۡ السَّمَآءُ بِدُخَانٍ مُّبِيۡنٍ ۙ ١٠
44:10
Then wait for the Day when the sky will bring a visible smoke.
يَّغۡشَى النَّاسَ ؕ هٰذَا عَذَابٌ اَلِيۡمٌ ١١
44:11
Covering the people; this is a painful punishment.
رَبَّنَا اكۡشِفۡ عَنَّا الۡعَذَابَ اِنَّا مُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ ١٢
44:12
[They will say], "Our Lord, remove from us the punishment; indeed, we are believers."
اَنّٰى لَهُمُ الذِّكۡرٰى وَقَدۡ جَآءَهُمۡ رَسُوۡلٌ مُّبِيۡنٌ ۙ ١٣
44:13
How can there be for them a reminder [at that time] when a clear messenger had already come to them?
ثُمَّ تَوَلَّوۡا عَنۡهُ وَقَالُوۡا مُعَلَّمٌ مَّجۡنُوۡنٌ ١٤
44:14
Then they turned away from him and said, "[He is] taught, one possessed."
اِنَّا كَاشِفُوۡ الۡعَذَابِ قَلِيۡلًا ۙ اِنَّكُمۡ عَآئِدُوۡنَ ١٥
44:15
Indeed, We will remove the punishment for a little; indeed, you [will be] returning [to disbelief].
يَوۡمَ نَبۡطِشُ الۡبَطۡشَةَ الۡكُبۡرٰىۤ اِنَّا مُنۡتَقِمُوۡنَ ١٦
44:16
On the Day We will strike with the greatest assault, indeed, We will take retribution.
وَلَقَدۡ فَتَنَّا قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَجَآءَهُمۡ رَسُوۡلٌ كَرِيۡمٌ ۙ ١٧
44:17
And We had already tried before them the people of Pharaoh, when there came to them a noble messenger,
اَنۡ اَدُّوۡۤا اِلَىَّ عِبَادَ اللّٰهِ ؕ اِنِّىۡ لَكُمۡ رَسُوۡلٌ اَمِيۡنٌ ۙ ١٨
44:18
[Saying], "Render to me the servants of Allah. Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger,
وَّاَنۡ لَّا تَعۡلُوۡا عَلَى اللّٰهِ ۚ اِنِّىۡۤ اٰتِيۡكُمۡ بِسُلۡطٰنٍ مُّبِيۡنٍ ۚ ١٩
44:19
And [saying], 'Do not be haughty with Allah. Indeed, I have come to you with clear authority.
وَاِنِّىۡ عُذۡتُ بِرَبِّىۡ وَرَبِّكُمۡ اَنۡ تَرۡجُمُوۡنِ ؕ ٢٠
44:20
And indeed, I have sought refuge in my Lord and your Lord, lest you stone me.
وَاِنۡ لَّمۡ تُؤۡمِنُوۡا لِىۡ فَاعۡتَزِلُوۡنِ ٢١
44:21
But if you do not believe me, then leave me alone [i.e., desist from harming me].'"
فَدَعَا رَبَّهٗۤ اَنَّ هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ قَوۡمٌ مُّجۡرِمُوۡنَ ٢٢
44:22
And [finally] he called to his Lord that these were a criminal people.
فَاَسۡرِ بِعِبَادِىۡ لَيۡلًا اِنَّكُمۡ مُّتَّبَعُوۡنَ ۙ ٢٣
44:23
[Allah said], "Then set out with My servants by night; indeed, you will be pursued.
وَاتۡرُكِ الۡبَحۡرَ رَهۡوًا ؕ اِنَّهُمۡ جُنۡدٌ مُّغۡرَقُوۡنَ ٢٤
44:24
And leave the sea in stillness. Indeed, they are an army to be drowned."
كَمۡ تَرَكُوۡا مِنۡ جَنّٰتٍ وَّعُيُوۡنٍ ۙ ٢٥
44:25
How much they left behind of gardens and springs
وَّزُرُوۡعٍ وَّمَقَامٍ كَرِيۡمٍ ۙ ٢٦
44:26
And crops and noble sites
وَنَعۡمَةٍ كَانُوۡا فِيۡهَا فٰكِهِيۡنَ ۙ ٢٧
44:27
And comfort wherein they were enjoying themselves.
كَذٰلِكَ ۚ وَاَوۡرَثۡنٰهَا قَوۡمًا اٰخَرِيۡنَ ٢٨
44:28
Thus. And We caused to inherit it another people.
فَمَا بَكَتۡ عَلَيۡهِمُ السَّمَآءُ وَالۡاَرۡضُ وَمَا كَانُوۡا مُنۡظَرِيۡنَ ٢٩
44:29
And the heaven and earth wept not for them, nor were they reprieved.
وَلَقَدۡ نَجَّيۡنَا بَنِىۡۤ اِسۡرٰٓءِيۡلَ مِنۡ عَذَابٍ مُّهِيۡنٍ ۙ ٣٠
44:30
And We certainly saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating punishment -
مِّنۡ فِرۡعَوۡنَ ؕ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ عَالِيًا مِّنَ الۡمُسۡرِفِيۡنَ ٣١
44:31
From Pharaoh. Indeed, he was arrogant among the transgressors.
وَلَقَدِ اخۡتَرۡنٰهُمۡ عَلٰى عِلۡمٍ عَلَى الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ ۚ ٣٢
44:32
And We certainly chose them over [all] the worlds on the basis of knowledge.
وَاٰتَيۡنٰهُمۡ مِّنَ الۡاٰيٰتِ مَا فِيۡهِ بَلٰٓؤٌا مُّبِيۡنٌ ٣٣
44:33
And We gave them of signs that in which there was a clear trial.
اِنَّ هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ لَيَقُوۡلُوۡنَ ۙ ٣٤
44:34
Indeed, these [disbelievers] are saying,
اِنۡ هِىَ اِلَّا مَوۡتَتُنَا الۡاُوۡلٰى وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمُنۡشَرِيۡنَ ۚ ٣٥
44:35
"There is none but our first death, and we are not to be resurrected.
فَاۡتُوۡا بِاٰبَآئِنَاۤ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ صٰدِقِيۡنَ ٣٦
44:36
Bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful."
اَهُمۡ خَيۡرٌ اَمۡ قَوۡمُ تُبَّعٍ وَّالَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِمۡ ؕ اَهۡلَكۡنٰهُمۡ ۚ اِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوۡا مُجۡرِمِيۡنَ ٣٧
44:37
Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them, for indeed, they were criminals.
وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا لٰعِبِيۡنَ ٣٨
44:38
And We did not create the heavens and earth and what is between them in play.
مَا خَلَقۡنٰهُمَاۤ اِلَّا بِالۡحَقِّ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ٣٩
44:39
We created them not except in truth, but most of them do not know.
اِنَّ يَوۡمَ الۡفَصۡلِ مِيۡقَاتُهُمۡ اَجۡمَعِيۡنَ ۙ ٤٠
44:40
Indeed, the Day of Separation is the appointed time for them all.
يَوۡمَ لَا يُغۡنِىۡ مَوۡلًى عَنۡ مَّوۡلًى شَيۡـًٔا وَّلَا هُمۡ يُنۡصَرُوۡنَ ۙ ٤١
44:41
The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped -
اِلَّا مَنۡ رَّحِمَ اللّٰهُ ؕ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الرَّحِيۡمُ ٤٢
44:42
Except [for] those upon whom Allah has mercy. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
اِنَّ شَجَرَتَ الزَّقُّوۡمِ ۙ ٤٣
44:43
Indeed, the tree of Zaqqūm
طَعَامُ الۡاَثِيۡمِ ؕ ٤٤
44:44
Is the food of the sinner.
كَالۡمُهۡلِ ۚ يَغۡلِىۡ فِىۡ الۡبُطُوۡنِ ۙ ٤٥
44:45
Like molten copper, it boils in the bellies
كَغَلۡىِ الۡحَمِيۡمِ ٤٦
44:46
Like the boiling of scalding water.
خُذُوۡهُ فَاعۡتِلُوۡهُ اِلٰى سَوَآءِ الۡجَحِيۡمِ ۙ ٤٧
44:47
[It will be commanded], "Seize him and drag him into the midst of the Hellfire;
ثُمَّ صُبُّوۡا فَوۡقَ رَاۡسِهٖ مِنۡ عَذَابِ الۡحَمِيۡمِ ؕ ٤٨
44:48
Then pour over his head from the torment of scalding water."
ذُقۡ ۙ اِنَّكَ اَنۡتَ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الۡكَرِيۡمُ ٤٩
44:49
[Saying], "Taste! Indeed, you are the honorable, the noble!
اِنَّ هٰذَا مَا كُنۡتُمۡ بِهٖ تَمۡتَرُوۡنَ ؕ ٥٠
44:50
Indeed, this is what you used to dispute."
اِنَّ الۡمُتَّقِيۡنَ فِىۡ مَقَامٍ اَمِيۡنٍ ۙ ٥١
44:51
Indeed, the righteous will be in a secure place -
فِىۡ جَنّٰتٍ وَّعُيُوۡنٍ ۙ ٥٢
44:52
Within gardens and springs,
يَلۡبَسُوۡنَ مِنۡ سُنۡدُسٍ وَّاِسۡتَبۡرَقٍ مُّتَقٰبِلِيۡنَ ۚ ٥٣
44:53
Wearing [garments of] fine silk and brocade, facing each other.
كَذٰلِكَ ؕ وَزَوَّجۡنٰهُمۡ بِحُوۡرٍ عِيۡنٍ ٥٤
44:54
Thus. And We will marry them to fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes.
يَدۡعُوۡنَ فِيۡهَا بِكُلِّ فَاكِهَةٍ اٰمِنِيۡنَ ۙ ٥٥
44:55
They will call therein for every [kind of] fruit in peace and security.
لَا يَذُوۡقُوۡنَ فِيۡهَا الۡمَوۡتَ اِلَّا الۡمَوۡتَةَ الۡاُوۡلٰى ۚ وَوَقٰٮهُمۡ عَذَابَ الۡجَحِيۡمِ ۙ ٥٦
44:56
They will not taste death therein except the first death, and He will have protected them from the punishment of the Hellfire
فَضۡلًا مِّنۡ رَّبِّكَ ؕ ذٰلِكَ هُوَ الۡفَوۡزُ الۡعَظِيۡمُ ٥٧
44:57
As bounty from your Lord. That is the great attainment.
فَاِنَّمَا يَسَّرۡنٰهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَتَذَكَّرُوۡنَ ٥٨
44:58
And indeed, We have eased the Qur'an in your tongue that they might be reminded.
فَارۡتَقِبۡ اِنَّهُمۡ مُّرۡتَقِبُوۡنَ ٥٩
44:59
So wait, [O Muhammad]; indeed, they [too] are waiting.
حٰمٓ ١
45:1
Ḥā. Mīm.
تَنۡزِيۡلُ الۡكِتٰبِ مِنَ اللّٰهِ الۡعَزِيۡزِ الۡحَكِيۡمِ ٢
45:2
The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
اِنَّ فِىۡ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ ؕ ٣
45:3
Indeed, in the heavens and the earth are signs for the believers.
وَفِىۡ خَلۡقِكُمۡ وَمَا يَبُثُّ مِنۡ دَآبَّةٍ اٰيٰتٌ لِّقَوۡمٍ يُّوۡقِنُوۡنَ ۙ ٤
45:4
And in your creation and whatever He has dispersed of [moving] creatures are signs for people who are certain [in faith].
وَاخۡتِلَافِ الَّيۡلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَمَاۤ اَنۡزَلَ اللّٰهُ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ مِنۡ رِّزۡقٍ فَاَحۡيَا بِهِ الۡاَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِهَا وَتَصۡرِيۡفِ الرِّيٰحِ اٰيٰتٌ لِّقَوۡمٍ يَّعۡقِلُوۡنَ ٥
45:5
And [in] the alternation of night and day and [in] what Allah sends down from the sky of provision [i.e., rain] and revives thereby the earth after its lifelessness and [in] the directing of winds are signs for people who reason.
تِلۡكَ اٰيٰتُ اللّٰهِ نَتۡلُوۡهَا عَلَيۡكَ بِالۡحَقِّ ۚ فَبِاَىِّ حَدِيۡثٍ ۢ بَعۡدَ اللّٰهِ وَاٰيٰتِهٖ يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ ؕ ٦
45:6
These are the verses of Allah which We recite to you in truth. So in what statement after Allah and His verses will they believe?
وَيۡلٌ لِّكُلِّ اَفَّاكٍ اَثِيۡمٍ ۙ ٧
45:7
Woe to every sinful liar
يَّسۡمَعُ اٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ تُتۡلٰى عَلَيۡهِ ثُمَّ يُصِرُّ مُسۡتَكۡبِرًا كَاَنۡ لَّمۡ يَسۡمَعۡهَا ۚ فَبَشِّرۡهُ بِعَذَابٍ اَلِيۡمٍ ٨
45:8
Who hears the verses of Allah recited to him, then persists arrogantly as if he had not heard them. So give him tidings of a painful punishment.
وَاِذَا عَلِمَ مِنۡ اٰيٰتِنَا شَيۡئًا اتَّخَذَهَا هُزُوًا ؕ اُولٰٓئِكَ لَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ مُّهِيۡنٌ ؕ ٩
45:9
And when he learns anything of Our verses, he takes them in ridicule. For those there will be a humiliating punishment.
مِنۡ وَرَآئِهِمۡ جَهَنَّمُ ۙ وَلَا يُغۡنِىۡ عَنۡهُمۡ مَّا كَسَبُوۡا شَيۡـًٔا وَّلَا مَا اتَّخَذُوۡا مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ اَوۡلِيَآءَ ۚ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ عَظِيۡمٌ ١٠
45:10
Before them is Hell, and there will not avail them whatever they earned or whatever they took in exclusion to Allah as allies. And for them is a great punishment.
هٰذَا هُدًى ۚ وَالَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا بِاٰيٰتِ رَبِّهِمۡ لَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ مِّنۡ رِّجۡزٍ اَلِيۡمٌ ١١
45:11
This [Qur'an] is guidance; and those who have disbelieved in the verses of their Lord will have a painful punishment of foul nature.
اللّٰهُ الَّذِىۡ سَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الۡبَحۡرَ لِتَجۡرِىَ الۡفُلۡكُ فِيۡهِ بِاَمۡرِهٖ وَلِتَبۡتَغُوۡا مِنۡ فَضۡلِهٖ وَلَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُوۡنَ ۚ ١٢
45:12
It is Allah who subjected to you the sea so that ships may sail upon it by His command and that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful.
وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمۡ مَّا فِىۡ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ جَمِيۡعًا مِّنۡهُ ؕ اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِّقَوۡمٍ يَّتَفَكَّرُوۡنَ ١٣
45:13
And He has subjected to you whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth - all from Him. Indeed in that are signs for people who give thought.
قُلۡ لِّلَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا يَغۡفِرُوۡا لِلَّذِيۡنَ لَا يَرۡجُوۡنَ اَيَّامَ اللّٰهِ لِيَجۡزِىَ قَوۡمًا ۢ بِمَا كَانُوۡا يَكۡسِبُوۡنَ ١٤
45:14
Say, [O Muhammad], to the believers to forgive those who do not expect the days of Allah [i.e., judgement] - that He may recompense a people for what they used to earn.
مَنۡ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلِنَفۡسِهٖ ۚ وَمَنۡ اَسَآءَ فَعَلَيۡهَا ؕ ثُمَّ اِلٰى رَبِّكُمۡ تُرۡجَعُوۡنَ ١٥
45:15
Whoever does righteousness - it is for his [own] soul; and whoever does evil [does so] against it. Then to your Lord you will be returned.
وَلَقَدۡ اٰتَيۡنَا بَنِىۡۤ اِسۡرٰٓءِيۡلَ الۡكِتٰبَ وَالۡحُكۡمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ وَرَزَقۡنٰهُمۡ مِّنَ الطَّيِّبٰتِ وَفَضَّلۡنٰهُمۡ عَلَى الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ ۚ ١٦
45:16
And We did certainly give the Children of Israel the Scripture and authority and prophethood, and We provided them with good things and preferred them over the worlds.
وَاٰتَيۡنٰهُمۡ بَيِّنٰتٍ مِّنَ الۡاَمۡرِ ۚ فَمَا اخۡتَلَفُوۡۤا اِلَّا مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَآءَهُمُ الۡعِلۡمُ ۙ بَغۡيًا ۢ بَيۡنَهُمۡ ؕ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقۡضِىۡ بَيۡنَهُمۡ يَوۡمَ الۡقِيٰمَةِ فِيۡمَا كَانُوۡا فِيۡهِ يَخۡتَلِفُوۡنَ ١٧
45:17
And We gave them clear proofs of the matter [of religion]. And they did not differ until after knowledge had come to them - out of jealous animosity among themselves. Indeed, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that in which they used to differ.
ثُمَّ جَعَلۡنٰكَ عَلٰى شَرِيۡعَةٍ مِّنَ الۡاَمۡرِ فَاتَّبِعۡهَا وَلَا تَتَّبِعۡ اَهۡوَآءَ الَّذِيۡنَ لَا يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ١٨
45:18
Then We put you, [O Muhammad], upon an ordained way concerning the matter [of religion]; so follow it and do not follow the inclinations of those who do not know.
اِنَّهُمۡ لَنۡ يُغۡنُوۡا عَنۡكَ مِنَ اللّٰهِ شَيۡـًٔا ؕ وَاِنَّ الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ بَعۡضُهُمۡ اَوۡلِيَآءُ بَعۡضٍ ۚ وَاللّٰهُ وَلِىُّ الۡمُتَّقِيۡنَ ١٩
45:19
Indeed, they will never avail you against Allah at all. And indeed, the wrongdoers are allies of one another; but Allah is the Protector of the righteous.
هٰذَا بَصٰٓئِرُ لِلنَّاسِ وَهُدًى وَّرَحۡمَةٌ لِّقَوۡمٍ يُّوۡقِنُوۡنَ ٢٠
45:20
This [Qur'an] is enlightenment for mankind and guidance and mercy for a people who are certain [in faith].
اَمۡ حَسِبَ الَّذِيۡنَ اجۡتَرَحُوۡا السَّيِّاٰتِ اَنۡ نَّجۡعَلَهُمۡ كَالَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوۡا الصّٰلِحٰتِ سَوَآءً مَّحۡيَاهُمۡ وَمَمَاتُهُمۡ ؕ سَآءَ مَا يَحۡكُمُوۡنَ ٢١
45:21
Or did those who committed evil deeds think that We would make them like those who believed and did righteous deeds - that their living and their dying would be equal? Evil is the judgement they make.
وَخَلَقَ اللّٰهُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضَ بِالۡحَقِّ وَلِتُجۡزٰى كُلُّ نَفۡسٍ ۢ بِمَا كَسَبَتۡ وَهُمۡ لَا يُظۡلَمُوۡنَ ٢٢
45:22
And Allah created the heavens and earth in truth and so that every soul may be recompensed for what it has earned, and they will not be wronged.
اَفَرَءَيۡتَ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ اِلٰهَهٗ هَوٰٮهُ وَاَضَلَّهُ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى عِلۡمٍ وَّخَتَمَ عَلٰى سَمۡعِهٖ وَقَلۡبِهٖ وَجَعَلَ عَلٰى بَصَرِهٖ غِشٰوَةً ؕ فَمَنۡ يَّهۡدِيۡهِ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ اللّٰهِ ؕ اَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُوۡنَ ٢٣
45:23
Have you seen he who has taken as his god his [own] desire, and Allah has sent him astray due to knowledge and set a seal upon his hearing and his heart and put over his vision a veil? So who will guide him after Allah? Then will you not be reminded?
وَقَالُوۡا مَا هِىَ اِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنۡيَا نَمُوۡتُ وَنَحۡيَا وَمَا يُهۡلِكُنَاۤ اِلَّا الدَّهۡرُ ۚ وَمَا لَهُمۡ بِذٰلِكَ مِنۡ عِلۡمٍ ۚ اِنۡ هُمۡ اِلَّا يَظُنُّوۡنَ ٢٤
45:24
And they say, "There is none but our worldly life; we die and live, and nothing destroys us except time." And they have of that no knowledge; they are only guessing.
وَاِذَا تُتۡلٰى عَلَيۡهِمۡ اٰيٰتُنَا بَيِّنٰتٍ مَّا كَانَ حُجَّتَهُمۡ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ قَالُوا ايۡتُوۡا بِاٰبَآئِنَاۤ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ صٰدِقِيۡنَ ٢٥
45:25
And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, their argument is only that they say, "Bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful."
قُلِ اللّٰهُ يُحۡيِيۡكُمۡ ثُمَّ يُمِيۡتُكُمۡ ثُمَّ يَجۡمَعُكُمۡ اِلٰى يَوۡمِ الۡقِيٰمَةِ لَا رَيۡبَ فِيۡهِ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكۡثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ؕ ٢٦
45:26
Say, "Allah gives you life, then causes you to die; then He will assemble you for the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt, but most of the people do not know."
وَلِلّٰهِ مُلۡكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ ؕ وَيَوۡمَ تَقُوۡمُ السَّاعَةُ يَوۡمَئِذٍ يَّخۡسَرُ الۡمُبۡطِلُوۡنَ ٢٧
45:27
And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And the Day the Hour occurs - that Day the falsifiers will lose.
وَتَرٰى كُلَّ اُمَّةٍ جَاثِيَةً ؕ كُلُّ اُمَّةٍ تُدۡعٰى اِلٰى كِتٰبِهَا ؕ الۡيَوۡمَ تُجۡزَوۡنَ مَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ٢٨
45:28
And you will see every nation kneeling [in fear]. Every nation will be called to its record [of deeds]. [They will be told], "Today you will be recompensed for what you used to do.
هٰذَا كِتٰبُنَا يَنۡطِقُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ بِالۡحَقِّ ؕ اِنَّا كُنَّا نَسۡتَنۡسِخُ مَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ٢٩
45:29
This, Our record, speaks about you with truth. Indeed, We were transcribing whatever you used to do."
فَاَمَّا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ فَيُدۡخِلُهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ فِىۡ رَحۡمَتِهٖ ؕ ذٰلِكَ هُوَ الۡفَوۡزُ الۡمُبِيۡنُ ٣٠
45:30
FFor those who believed and did righteous deeds, their Lord will admit them into His mercy. That is the obvious attainment.
وَاَمَّا الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا اَفَلَمۡ تَكُنۡ اٰيٰتِىۡ تُتۡلٰى عَلَيۡكُمۡ فَاسۡتَكۡبَرۡتُمۡ وَكُنۡتُمۡ قَوۡمًا مُّجۡرِمِيۡنَ ٣١
45:31
But as for those who disbelieved, [it will be said], "Were not My verses recited to you, but you were arrogant and became a criminal people?
وَاِذَا قِيۡلَ اِنَّ وَعۡدَ اللّٰهِ حَقٌّ وَّالسَّاعَةُ لَا رَيۡبَ فِيۡهَا قُلۡتُمۡ مَّا نَدۡرِىۡ مَا السَّاعَةُ اِنۡ نَّظُنُّ اِلَّا ظَنًّا وَّمَا نَحۡنُ بِمُسۡتَيۡقِنِيۡنَ ٣٢
45:32
And when it was said, 'Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth and the Hour [is coming] - no doubt about it,' you said, 'We know not what the Hour is. We merely assume [it] and are not convinced.'"
وَبَدَا لَهُمۡ سَيِّاٰتُ مَا عَمِلُوۡا وَحَاقَ بِهِمۡ مَّا كَانُوۡا بِهٖ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُوۡنَ ٣٣
45:33
And the evil consequences of what they did will become apparent to them, and they will be enveloped by what they used to ridicule.
وَقِيۡلَ الۡيَوۡمَ نَنۡسٰٮكُمۡ كَمَا نَسِيۡتُمۡ لِقَآءَ يَوۡمِكُمۡ هٰذَا وَمَاۡوٰٮكُمُ النَّارُ وَمَا لَكُمۡ مِّنۡ نَّاصِرِيۡنَ ۚ ٣٤
45:34
And it will be said, "Today We will forget you as you forgot the meeting of this Day of yours, and your refuge is the Fire, and for you there are no helpers.
ذٰلِكُمۡ بِاَنَّكُمُ اتَّخَذۡتُمۡ اٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ هُزُوًا وَّغَرَّتۡكُمُ الۡحَيٰوةُ الدُّنۡيَا ۚ فَالۡيَوۡمَ لَا يُخۡرَجُوۡنَ مِنۡهَا وَلَا هُمۡ يُسۡتَعۡتَبُوۡنَ ٣٥
45:35
That is because you took the verses of Allah in ridicule, and worldly life deluded you." So today they will not be removed from it, nor will they be asked to appease [Allah].
فَلِلّٰهِ الۡحَمۡدُ رَبِّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَرَبِّ الۡاَرۡضِ رَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ ۚ ٣٦
45:36
Then to Allah belongs [all] praise - Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth, Lord of the worlds.
وَلَهُ الۡكِبۡرِيَآءُ فِىۡ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ ؕ وَهُوَ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الۡحَكِيۡمُ ٣٧
45:37
And to Him belongs [all] grandeur in the heavens and the earth, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
