Juz 27
(51:31 – 57:29)
قَالَ فَمَا خَطۡبُكُمۡ اَيُّهَا الۡمُرۡسَلُوۡنَ ٣١
51:31
[Abraham] said, "Then what is your mission, O messengers?"
قَالُوۡۤا اِنَّاۤ اُرۡسِلۡنَاۤ اِلٰى قَوۡمٍ مُّجۡرِمِيۡنَ ۙ ٣٢
51:32
They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a criminal people,
لِنُرۡسِلَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ حِجَارَةً مِّنۡ طِيۡنٍ ۙ ٣٣
51:33
To send down upon them stones of clay,
مُّسَوَّمَةً عِنۡدَ رَبِّكَ لِلۡمُسۡرِفِيۡنَ ٣٤
51:34
Marked by your Lord for the transgressors."
فَاَخۡرَجۡنَا مَنۡ كَانَ فِيۡهَا مِنَ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ ؕ ٣٥
51:35
So We brought out whoever was in the cities of the believers.
فَمَا وَجَدۡنَا فِيۡهَا غَيۡرَ بَيۡتٍ مِّنَ الۡمُسۡلِمِيۡنَ ؕ ٣٦
51:36
But We found not therein any except one house of those who submitted [to Allah].
وَتَرَكۡنَا فِيۡهَاۤ اٰيَةً لِّلَّذِيۡنَ يَخَافُوۡنَ الۡعَذَابَ الۡاَلِيۡمَ ٣٧
51:37
And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment.
وَفِىۡ مُوۡسٰىۤ ۘ اِذۡ اَرۡسَلۡنٰهُ اِلٰى فِرۡعَوۡنَ بِسُلۡطٰنٍ مُّبِيۡنٍ ۙ ٣٨
51:38
And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority.
فَتَوَلّٰى بِرُكۡنِهٖ وَقَالَ سَاحِرٌ اَوۡ مَجۡنُوۡنٌ ٣٩
51:39
But he [Pharaoh] turned away with his force and said, "[He is] a magician or a madman."
فَاَخَذۡنٰهُ وَجُنُوۡدَهٗ فَنَبَذۡنٰهُمۡ فِىۡ الۡيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيۡمٌ ؕ ٤٠
51:40
So We seized him and his soldiers and threw them into the sea, and he was blameworthy.
وَفِىۡ عَادٍ ۘ اِذۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمُ الرِّيۡحَ الۡعَقِيۡمَ ۚ ٤١
51:41
And in 'Aad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind.
مَا تَذَرُ مِنۡ شَىۡءٍ اَتَتۡ عَلَيۡهِ اِلَّا جَعَلَتۡهُ كَالرَّمِيۡمِ ؕ ٤٢
51:42
It left nothing of what it came upon but that it rendered it like dust.
وَفِىۡ ثَمُوۡدَ ۘ اِذۡ قِيۡلَ لَهُمۡ تَمَتَّعُوۡا حَتّٰى حِيۡنٍ ۙ ٤٣
51:43
And in Thamūd [was a sign], when they were told, "Enjoy yourselves for a time."
فَعَتَوۡا عَنۡ اَمۡرِ رَبِّهِمۡ فَاَخَذَتۡهُمُ الصّٰعِقَةُ وَهُمۡ يَنۡظُرُوۡنَ ٤٤
51:44
But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on.
فَمَا اسۡتَطَاعُوۡا مِنۡ قِيَامٍ وَّمَا كَانُوۡا مُنۡتَصِرِيۡنَ ؕ ٤٥
51:45
And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves.
وَقَوۡمَ نُوۡحٍ مِّنۡ قَبۡلُ ؕ اِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوۡا قَوۡمًا فٰسِقِيۡنَ ࣖ ٤٦
51:46
And the people of Noah before [them]. Indeed, they were a defiantly disobedient people.
وَالسَّمَآءَ بَنَيۡنٰهَا بِاَيۡي۟دٍ وَّاِنَّا لَمُوۡسِعُوۡنَ ٤٧
51:47
And the heaven We constructed with power, and indeed, We are [all] expanding.
وَالۡاَرۡضَ فَرَشۡنٰهَا فَنِعۡمَ الۡمٰهِدُوۡنَ ٤٨
51:48
And the earth We have spread out, and excellent is the preparer.
وَمِنۡ كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ خَلَقۡنَا زَوۡجَيۡنِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَذَكَّرُوۡنَ ٤٩
51:49
And of everything We created pairs; perhaps you may remember.
فَفِرُّوۡۤا اِلَى اللّٰهِ ؕ اِنِّىۡ لَكُمۡ مِّنۡهُ نَذِيۡرٌ مُّبِيۡنٌ ۚ ٥٠
51:50
So flee to Allah. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner.
وَلَا تَجۡعَلُوۡا مَعَ اللّٰهِ اِلٰهًا اٰخَرَ ؕ اِنِّىۡ لَكُمۡ مِّنۡهُ نَذِيۡرٌ مُّبِيۡنٌ ٥١
51:51
And do not make with Allah another deity. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner.
كَذٰلِكَ ۚ مَاۤ اَتَى الَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِمۡ مِّنۡ رَّسُوۡلٍ اِلَّا قَالُوۡا سَاحِرٌ اَوۡ مَجۡنُوۡنٌ ٥٢
51:52
Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman."
اَتَوَاصَوۡا بِهٖ ۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمٌ طَاغُوۡنَ ٥٣
51:53
Did they suggest it to one another? Rather, they are a transgressing people.
فَتَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡ فَمَاۤ اَنۡتَ بِمَلُوۡمٍ ۚ ٥٤
51:54
So turn away from them, for you are not to be blamed.
وَذَكِّرۡ فَاِنَّ الذِّكۡرٰى تَنۡفَعُ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ ٥٥
51:55
And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers.
وَمَا خَلَقۡتُ الۡجِنَّ وَالۡاِنۡسَ اِلَّا لِيَعۡبُدُوۡنِ ٥٦
51:56
And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.
مَاۤ اُرِيۡدُ مِنۡهُمۡ مِّنۡ رِّزۡقٍ وَّمَاۤ اُرِيۡدُ اَنۡ يُّطۡعِمُوۡنِ ٥٧
51:57
I do not intend from them [any] provision nor do I intend that they feed Me.
اِنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُوۡ الۡقُوَّةِ الۡمَتِيۡنُ ٥٨
51:58
Indeed, it is Allah who is the [continual] Provider, the possessor of strength, the firm.
فَاِنَّ لِلَّذِيۡنَ ظَلَمُوۡا ذَنُوۡبًا مِّثۡلَ ذَنُوۡبِ اَصۡحٰبِهِمۡ فَلَا يَسۡتَعۡجِلُوۡنِ ٥٩
51:59
And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their companions, so let them not impatiently rush Me.
فَوَيۡلٌ لِّلَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا مِنۡ يَوۡمِهِمُ الَّذِىۡ يُوۡعَدُوۡنَ ٦٠
51:60
And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised.
وَالطُّوۡرِ ۙ ١
52:1
By the mount,
وَكِتٰبٍ مَّسۡطُوۡرٍ ۙ ٢
52:2
And [by] a Book inscribed
فِىۡ رَقٍّ مَّنۡشُوۡرٍ ۙ ٣
52:3
In parchment spread out,
وَالۡبَيۡتِ الۡمَعۡمُوۡرِ ۙ ٤
52:4
And [by] the frequented House,
وَالسَّقۡفِ الۡمَرۡفُوۡعِ ۙ ٥
52:5
And [by] the elevated ceiling [i.e., heaven],
وَالۡبَحۡرِ الۡمَسۡجُوۡرِ ۙ ٦
52:6
And [by] the sea filled [with fire or water].
اِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَاقِعٌ ۙ ٧
52:7
Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will occur.
مَّا لَهٗ مِنۡ دَافِعٍ ۙ ٨
52:8
There is none to prevent it.
يَوۡمَ تَمُوۡرُ السَّمَآءُ مَوۡرًا ۙ ٩
52:9
On the Day the heaven will sway with a [fearful] swaying
وَّتَسِيۡرُ الۡجِبَالُ سَيۡرًا ؕ ١٠
52:10
And the mountains will move away with [violent] motion.
فَوَيۡلٌ يَّوۡمَئِذٍ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِيۡنَ ۙ ١١
52:11
Then woe, that Day, to the deniers,
الَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ فِىۡ خَوۡضٍ يَّلۡعَبُوۡنَ ۙ ١٢
52:12
Who are in [the indulgence of] falsehood, amusing themselves.
يَوۡمَ يُدَعُّوۡنَ اِلٰى نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا ؕ ١٣
52:13
The Day they are thrust toward the fire of Hell with a [violent] thrust,
هٰذِهِ النَّارُ الَّتِىۡ كُنۡتُمۡ بِهَا تُكَذِّبُوۡنَ ؕ ١٤
52:14
[They will be told], "This is the Fire which you used to deny.
اَفَسِحۡرٌ هٰذَاۤ اَمۡ اَنۡتُمۡ لَا تُبۡصِرُوۡنَ ؕ ١٥
52:15
Is this magic, or are you not seeing?
اِصۡلَوۡهَا فَاصۡبِرُوۡۤا اَوۡ لَا تَصۡبِرُوۡا سَوَآءٌ عَلَيۡكُمۡ ؕ اِنَّمَا تُجۡزَوۡنَ مَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ١٦
52:16
Remain burning in it; so endure patiently or do not endure patiently - it is all the same for you. You are only being recompensed for what you used to do."
اِنَّ الۡمُتَّقِيۡنَ فِىۡ جَنّٰتٍ وَّنَعِيۡمٍ ۙ ١٧
52:17
Indeed, the righteous will be in gardens and pleasure,
فٰكِهِيۡنَ بِمَاۤ اٰتٰٮهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ ۙ وَوَقٰٮهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ عَذَابَ الۡجَحِيۡمِ ١٨
52:18
Enjoying what their Lord has given them, and their Lord will have protected them from the punishment of the Hellfire.
كُلُوۡا وَاشۡرَبُوۡا هَنِيۡٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ۙ ١٩
52:19
[They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you used to do."
مُتَّكِئِيۡنَ عَلٰى سُرُرٍ مَّصۡفُوۡفَةٍ ۚ وَزَوَّجۡنٰهُمۡ بِحُوۡرٍ عِيۡنٍ ٢٠
52:20
They will be reclining on couches lined up, and We will marry them to fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes.
وَالَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَاتَّبَعَتۡهُمۡ ذُرِّيَّتُهُمۡ بِاِيۡمَانٍ اَلۡحَقۡنَا بِهِمۡ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمۡ وَمَاۤ اَلَتۡنٰهُمۡ مِّنۡ عَمَلِهِمۡ مِّنۡ شَىۡءٍ ؕ كُلُّ امۡرِئٍ ۢ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِيۡنٌ ٢١
52:21
And those who believed and whose descendants followed them in faith - We will join with them their descendants, and We will not deprive them of anything from [the reward of] their deeds. Every person, for what he earned, is retained.
وَاَمۡدَدۡنٰهُمۡ بِفَاكِهَةٍ وَّلَحۡمٍ مِّمَّا يَشۡتَهُوۡنَ ٢٢
52:22
And We will provide them with fruit and meat from whatever they desire.
يَتَنَازَعُوۡنَ فِيۡهَا كَاۡسًا لَّا لَغۡوٌ فِيۡهَا وَلَا تَاۡثِيۡمٌ ٢٣
52:23
They will exchange with one another a cup [of wine] wherein [is] neither ill speech nor sin.
وَيَطُوۡفُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ غِلۡمَانٌ لَّهُمۡ كَاَنَّهُمۡ لُؤۡلُؤٌ مَّكۡنُوۡنٌ ٢٤
52:24
And there will circulate among them [servant] boys [as beautiful] as pearls well-protected.
وَاَقۡبَلَ بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلٰى بَعۡضٍ يَّتَسَآءَلُوۡنَ ٢٥
52:25
And they will approach one another asking questions.
قَالُوۡۤا اِنَّا كُنَّا قَبۡلُ فِىۡۤ اَهۡلِنَا مُشۡفِقِيۡنَ ۙ ٢٦
52:26
They will say, "Indeed, we were previously among our families fearing [the punishment of Allah].
فَمَنَّ اللّٰهُ عَلَيۡنَا وَوَقٰٮنَا عَذَابَ السَّمُوۡمِ ٢٧
52:27
So Allah conferred favor upon us and protected us from the punishment of the scorching fire.
اِنَّا كُنَّا مِنۡ قَبۡلُ نَدۡعُوۡهُ ؕ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ الۡبَرُّ الرَّحِيۡمُ ٢٨
52:28
Indeed, we used to supplicate Him before. Indeed, it is He who is the Beneficent, the Merciful."
فَذَكِّرۡ فَمَاۤ اَنۡتَ بِنِعۡمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍ وَّلَا مَجۡنُوۡنٍ ؕ ٢٩
52:29
So remind [O Muhammad], by the favor of your Lord, you are not a soothsayer or a madman.
اَمۡ يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ شَاعِرٌ نَّتَرَبَّصُ بِهٖ رَيۡبَ الۡمَنُوۡنِ ٣٠
52:30
Or do they say, "[He is] a poet for whom we await a misfortune of time?"
قُلۡ تَرَبَّصُوۡا فَاِنِّىۡ مَعَكُمۡ مِّنَ الۡمُتَرَبِّصِيۡنَ ٣١
52:31
Say, "Await, for indeed, I am with you among those who await."
اَمۡ تَاۡمُرُهُمۡ اَحۡلَامُهُمۡ بِهٰذَاۤ اَمۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمٌ طَاغُوۡنَ ؕ ٣٢
52:32
Or does their [evil] intelligence order them to this, or are they a transgressing people?
اَمۡ يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ تَقَوَّلَهٗ ؕ بَل لَّا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ ٣٣
52:33
Or do they say, "He invented it"? Rather, they do not believe.
فَلۡيَاۡتُوۡا بِحَدِيۡثٍ مِّثۡلِهٖۤ اِنۡ كَانُوۡا صٰدِقِيۡنَ ؕ ٣٤
52:34
Then let them produce a statement like it, if they should be truthful.
اَمۡ خُلِقُوۡا مِنۡ غَيۡرِ شَىۡءٍ اَمۡ هُمُ الۡخَالِقُوۡنَ ۙ ٣٥
52:35
Or were they created by nothing, or were they themselves the creators?
اَمۡ خَلَقُوۡا السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضَ ؕ بَل لَّا يُوۡقِنُوۡنَ ۙ ٣٦
52:36
Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain.
اَمۡ عِنۡدَهُمۡ خَزَآئِنُ رَبِّكَ اَمۡ هُمُ الۡمُصَيۡطِرُوۡنَ ؕ ٣٧
52:37
Or do they have the depositories of your Lord, or are they the controllers [of them]?
اَمۡ لَهُمۡ سُلَّمٌ يَّسۡتَمِعُوۡنَ فِيۡهِ ۚ فَلۡيَاۡتِ مُسۡتَمِعُهُمۡ بِسُلۡطٰنٍ مُّبِيۡنٍ ؕ ٣٨
52:38
Or do they have a stairway [into the heaven] upon which they listen? Then let their listener produce a clear authority.
اَمۡ لَهُ الۡبَنٰتُ وَلَكُمُ الۡبَنُوۡنَ ؕ ٣٩
52:39
Or has He daughters while you have sons?
اَمۡ تَسۡـَٔلُهُمۡ اَجۡرًا فَهُمۡ مِّنۡ مَّغۡرَمٍ مُّثۡقَلُوۡنَ ؕ ٤٠
52:40
Or do you ask them for a reward, so they are overcome by debt?
اَمۡ عِنۡدَهُمُ الۡغَيۡبُ فَهُمۡ يَكۡتُبُوۡنَ ؕ ٤١
52:41
Or do they have [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down?
اَمۡ يُرِيۡدُوۡنَ كَيۡدًا ؕ فَالَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا هُمُ الۡمَكِيۡدُوۡنَ ؕ ٤٢
52:42
Or do they intend a plot? But those who disbelieve - they are the ones being plotted against.
اَمۡ لَهُمۡ اِلٰهٌ غَيۡرُ اللّٰهِ ؕ سُبۡحٰنَ اللّٰهِ عَمَّا يُشۡرِكُوۡنَ ٤٣
52:43
Or have they a god other than Allah? Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him.
وَاِنۡ يَّرَوۡا كِسۡفًا مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ سَاقِطًا يَّقُوۡلُوۡا سَحَابٌ مَّرۡكُوۡمٌ ٤٤
52:44
And if they were to see a piece of the sky falling, they would say, "[It is merely] clouds heaped up."
فَذَرۡهُمۡ حَتّٰى يُلٰقُوۡا يَوۡمَهُمُ الَّذِىۡ فِيۡهِ يُصۡعَقُوۡنَ ۙ ٤٥
52:45
So leave them until they meet their Day in which they will be struck senseless.
يَوۡمَ لَا يُغۡنِىۡ عَنۡهُمۡ كَيۡدُهُمۡ شَيۡـًٔا وَّلَا هُمۡ يُنۡصَرُوۡنَ ؕ ٤٦
52:46
The Day their plot will not avail them at all, nor will they be helped.
وَاِنَّ لِلَّذِيۡنَ ظَلَمُوۡا عَذَابًا دُوۡنَ ذٰلِكَ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ٤٧
52:47
And indeed, for those who have wronged is a punishment before that, but most of them do not know.
وَاصۡبِرۡ لِحُكۡمِ رَبِّكَ فَاِنَّكَ بِاَعۡيُنِنَا ۘ وَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ حِيۡنَ تَقُوۡمُ ۙ ٤٨
52:48
And be patient for the decision of your Lord, for indeed, you are in Our eyes. And exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord when you arise.
وَمِنَ الَّيۡلِ فَسَبِّحۡهُ وَاِدۡبَارَ النُّجُوۡمِ ٤٩
52:49
And in [some] parts of the night exalt Him and after [the setting of] the stars.
وَالنَّجۡمِ اِذَا هَوٰى ۙ ١
53:1
By the star when it descends,
مَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمۡ وَمَا غَوٰى ۚ ٢
53:2
Your companion [Muhammad] has not strayed, nor has he erred,
وَمَا يَنۡطِقُ عَنِ الۡهَوٰى ؕ ٣
53:3
Nor does he speak from [his own] inclination.
اِنۡ هُوَ اِلَّا وَحۡىٌ يُّوۡحٰى ۙ ٤
53:4
It is not but a revelation revealed,
عَلَّمَهٗ شَدِيۡدُ الۡقُوٰى ۙ ٥
53:5
Taught to him by one intense in strength [Gabriel]
ذُوۡ مِرَّةٍ ؕ فَاسۡتَوٰى ۙ ٦
53:6
Having [beauty and] wisdom. Then he assumed his true form
وَهُوَ بِالۡاُفُقِ الۡاَعۡلٰى ؕ ٧
53:7
While he was in the highest part of the horizon.
ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلّٰى ۙ ٨
53:8
Then he approached and descended [further],
فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوۡسَيۡنِ اَوۡ اَدۡنٰى ۚ ٩
53:9
And was at a distance of two bow-lengths or nearer.
فَاَوۡحٰىۤ اِلٰى عَبۡدِهٖ مَاۤ اَوۡحٰى ؕ ١٠
53:10
And He revealed to His Servant what He revealed.
مَا كَذَبَ الۡفُؤَادُ مَا رَاٰى ١١
53:11
The heart did not lie [about] what it saw.
اَفَتُمٰرُوۡنَهٗ عَلٰى مَا يَرٰى ١٢
53:12
So will you dispute with him over what he sees?
وَلَقَدۡ رَاٰهُ نَزۡلَةً اُخۡرٰى ۙ ١٣
53:13
And he certainly saw him in another descent
عِنۡدَ سِدۡرَةِ الۡمُنۡتَهٰى ١٤
53:14
At the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary -
عِنۡدَهَا جَنَّةُ الۡمَاۡوٰى ؕ ١٥
53:15
Near it is the Garden of Refuge.
اِذۡ يَغۡشَى السِّدۡرَةَ مَا يَغۡشٰى ۙ ١٦
53:16
When there covered the Lote Tree that which covered it.
مَا زَاغَ الۡبَصَرُ وَمَا طَغٰى ١٧
53:17
The sight [of the Prophet] did not swerve, nor did it transgress [beyond what was revealed].
لَقَدۡ رَاٰى مِنۡ اٰيٰتِ رَبِّهِ الۡكُبۡرٰى ١٨
53:18
He certainly saw some of the greatest signs of his Lord.
اَفَرَءَيۡتُمُ اللَّاتَ وَالۡعُزّٰى ۙ ١٩
53:19
So have you considered al-Lāt and al-'Uzzā?
وَمَنٰوةَ الثَّالِثَةَ الۡاُخۡرٰى ؕ ٢٠
53:20
And Manāt, the third, the other?
اَلَكُمُ الذَّكَرُ وَلَهُ الۡاُنۡثٰى ٢١
53:21
Is the male for you and for Him the female?
تِلۡكَ اِذًا قِسۡمَةٌ ضِيۡزٰى ؕ ٢٢
53:22
That, then, is an unfair division.
اِنۡ هِىَ اِلَّاۤ اَسۡمَآءٌ سَمَّيۡتُمُوۡهَاۤ اَنۡتُمۡ وَاٰبَآؤُكُمۡ مَّاۤ اَنۡزَلَ اللّٰهُ بِهَا مِنۡ سُلۡطٰنٍ ؕ اِنۡ يَّتَّبِعُوۡنَ اِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَمَا تَهۡوَى الۡاَنۡفُسُ ۚ وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَهُمۡ مِّنۡ رَّبِّهِمُ الۡهُدٰى ؕ ٢٣
53:23
They are not but [mere] names you have named them - you and your fathers - for which Allah has sent down no authority. They follow not except assumption and what [their] souls desire, while there has already come to them from their Lord guidance.
اَمۡ لِلۡاِنۡسَانِ مَا تَمَنّٰى ۛ ۚ ٢٤
53:24
Or is there for man whatever he wishes?
فَلِلّٰهِ الۡاٰخِرَةُ وَالۡاُوۡلٰى ٢٥
53:25
Rather, to Allah belongs the last [life] and the first [life].
وَكَمۡ مِّنۡ مَّلَكٍ فِىۡ السَّمٰوٰتِ لَا تُغۡنِىۡ شَفَاعَتُهُمۡ شَيۡـًٔا اِلَّا مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ اَنۡ يَّاۡذَنَ اللّٰهُ لِمَنۡ يَّشَآءُ وَيَرۡضٰى ٢٦
53:26
And how many an angel is there in the heavens whose intercession will not avail at all except [only] after Allah has permitted [it] for whom He wills and approves.
اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِالۡاٰخِرَةِ لَيُسَمُّوۡنَ الۡمَلٰٓئِكَةَ تَسۡمِيَةَ الۡاُنۡثٰى ٢٧
53:27
Indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter name the angels female names.
وَمَا لَهُمۡ بِهٖ مِنۡ عِلۡمٍ ؕ اِنۡ يَّتَّبِعُوۡنَ اِلَّا الظَّنَّ ۚ وَاِنَّ الظَّنَّ لَا يُغۡنِىۡ مِنَ الۡحَقِّ شَيۡـًٔا ؕ ٢٨
53:28
And they have thereof no knowledge. They follow not except assumption, and indeed, assumption avails not against the truth at all.
فَاَعۡرِضۡ عَنۡ مَّنۡ تَوَلّٰى عَنۡ ذِكۡرِنَا وَلَمۡ يُرِدۡ اِلَّا الۡحَيٰوةَ الدُّنۡيَا ؕ ٢٩
53:29
So turn away from whoever turns his back on Our message and desires not except the worldly life.
ذٰلِكَ مَبۡلَغُهُمۡ مِّنَ الۡعِلۡمِ ؕ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ اَعۡلَمُ بِمَنۡ ضَلَّ عَنۡ سَبِيۡلِهٖ وَهُوَ اَعۡلَمُ بِمَنِ اهۡتَدٰى ؕ ٣٠
53:30
That is their extent of knowledge. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who has been guided.
وَلِلّٰهِ مَا فِىۡ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ لِيَجۡزِىَ الَّذِيۡنَ اَسَآؤُا بِمَا عَمِلُوۡا وَيَجۡزِىَ الَّذِيۡنَ اَحۡسَنُوۡا بِالۡحُسۡنٰى ۚ ٣١
53:31
And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, that He may recompense those who do evil with [the penalty of] what they have done and recompense those who do good with the best [reward] -
الَّذِيۡنَ يَجۡتَنِبُوۡنَ كَبٰٓئِرَ الۡاِثۡمِ وَالۡفَوَاحِشَ اِلَّا اللَّمَمَ ؕ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ وَاسِعُ الۡمَغۡفِرَةِ ؕ هُوَ اَعۡلَمُ بِكُمۡ اِذۡ اَنۡشَاَكُمۡ مِّنَ الۡاَرۡضِ وَاِذۡ اَنۡتُمۡ اَجِنَّةٌ فِىۡ بُطُوۡنِ اُمَّهٰتِكُمۡ ۖ فَلَا تُزَكُّوۡۤا اَنۡفُسَكُمۡ ؕ هُوَ اَعۡلَمُ بِمَنِ اتَّقٰى ٣٢
53:32
Those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, only [committing] slight ones. Indeed, your Lord is vast in forgiveness. He knows you best since He produced you from the earth and since you were fetuses in the wombs of your mothers. So do not claim yourselves to be pure; He is most knowing of who fears Him.
اَفَرَءَيۡتَ الَّذِىۡ تَوَلّٰى ۙ ٣٣
53:33
Have you seen the one who turned away
وَاَعۡطٰى قَلِيۡلًا وَّاَكۡدٰى ٣٤
53:34
And gave a little and [then] withheld?
اَعِنۡدَهٗ عِلۡمُ الۡغَيۡبِ فَهُوَ يَرٰىۤ ٣٥
53:35
Does he have knowledge of the unseen so that he sees?
اَمۡ لَمۡ يُنَبَّاۡ بِمَا فِىۡ صُحُفِ مُوۡسٰى ۙ ٣٦
53:36
Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses
وَاِبۡرٰهِيۡمَ الَّذِىۡ وَفّٰى ۙ ٣٧
53:37
And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] -
اَلَّا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزۡرَ اُخۡرٰى ۙ ٣٨
53:38
That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another
وَاَنۡ لَّيۡسَ لِلۡاِنۡسَانِ اِلَّا مَا سَعٰى ۙ ٣٩
53:39
And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives
وَاَنَّ سَعۡيَهٗ سَوۡفَ يُرٰى ۙ ٤٠
53:40
And that his effort is going to be seen -
ثُمَّ يُجۡزٰٮهُ الۡجَزَآءَ الۡاَوۡفٰى ۙ ٤١
53:41
Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense
وَاَنَّ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ الۡمُنۡتَهٰى ۙ ٤٢
53:42
And that to your Lord is the final end
وَاَنَّهٗ هُوَ اَضۡحَكَ وَاَبۡكٰى ۙ ٤٣
53:43
And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep
وَاَنَّهٗ هُوَ اَمَاتَ وَاَحۡيَا ۙ ٤٤
53:44
And that it is He who causes death and gives life
وَاَنَّهٗ خَلَقَ الزَّوۡجَيۡنِ الذَّكَرَ وَالۡاُنۡثٰى ۙ ٤٥
53:45
And that it is He who created the two mates - the male and female -
مِنۡ نُّطۡفَةٍ اِذَا تُمۡنٰى ۙ ٤٦
53:46
From a sperm-drop when it is emitted
وَاَنَّ عَلَيۡهِ النَّشۡاَةَ الۡاُخۡرٰى ۙ ٤٧
53:47
And that upon Him is the [responsibility for] the next creation
وَاَنَّهٗ هُوَ اَغۡنٰى وَاَقۡنٰى ۙ ٤٨
53:48
And that it is He who enriches and suffices
وَاَنَّهٗ هُوَ رَبُّ الشِّعۡرٰى ۙ ٤٩
53:49
And that it is He who is the Lord of [the star] Sirius
وَاَنَّهٗۤ اَهۡلَكَ عَادًا الۡاُوۡلٰى ۙ ٥٠
53:50
And that it was He who destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad
وَّثَمُوۡدَا فَمَاۤ اَبۡقٰى ۙ ٥١
53:51
And Thamūd and left none [alive]
وَقَوۡمَ نُوۡحٍ مِّنۡ قَبۡلُ ؕ اِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوۡا هُمۡ اَظۡلَمَ وَاَطۡغٰى ٥٢
53:52
And the people of Noah before - indeed, they were more unjust and more tyrannical.
وَالۡمُؤۡتَفِكَةَ اَهۡوٰى ۙ ٥٣
53:53
And the overturned cities [of Lot] He hurled down
فَغَشّٰٮهَا مَا غَشّٰى ؕ ٥٤
53:54
And covered them with that which He covered.
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكَ تَتَمَارٰى ؕ ٥٥
53:55
Then which of the favors of your Lord do you dispute?
هٰذَا نَذِيۡرٌ مِّنَ النُّذُرِ الۡاُوۡلٰى ؕ ٥٦
53:56
This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners.
اَزِفَتِ الۡاٰزِفَةُ ۚ ٥٧
53:57
The Approaching [Day of Resurrection] has approached.
لَيۡسَ لَهَا مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ كَاشِفَةٌ ؕ ٥٨
53:58
There is none besides Allah who can avert it.
اَفَمِنۡ هٰذَا الۡحَدِيۡثِ تَعۡجَبُوۡنَ ۙ ٥٩
53:59
Do you then wonder at this narration
وَتَضۡحَكُوۡنَ وَلَا تَبۡكُوۡنَ ۙ ٦٠
53:60
And laugh and do not weep
وَاَنۡتُمۡ سٰمِدُوۡنَ ؕ ٦١
53:61
While you are proudly sporting [i.e., heedless]?
فَاسۡجُدُوۡا لِلّٰهِ وَاعۡبُدُوۡا ٪ ٦٢
53:62
So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him].
اِقۡتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَةُ وَانۡشَقَّ الۡقَمَرُ ١
54:1
The Hour has approached and the moon has split [in two].
وَاِنۡ يَّرَوۡا اٰيَةً يُّعۡرِضُوۡا وَيَقُوۡلُوۡا سِحۡرٌ مُّسۡتَمِرٌّ ؕ ٢
54:2
And if they see a miracle, they turn away and say, "Passing magic."
وَكَذَّبُوۡا وَاتَّبَعُوۡۤا اَهۡوَآءَهُمۡ ؕ وَكُلُّ اَمۡرٍ مُّسۡتَقِرٌّ ؕ ٣
54:3
And they denied and followed their inclinations. And every matter will have its [appointed] settlement.
وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَهُمۡ مِّنَ الۡاَنۡۢبَآءِ مَا فِيۡهِ مُزۡدَجَرٌ ۙ ٤
54:4
And there has already come to them sufficient information containing a deterrent -
حِكۡمَةٌۢ بَالِغَةٌ فَمَا تُغۡنِ النُّذُرُ ؕ ٥
54:5
Perfect wisdom - but [continuing] warnings do not avail [them].
فَتَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡ ۘ يَوۡمَ يَدۡعُ الدَّاعِ اِلٰى شَىۡءٍ نُّكُرٍ ۙ ٦
54:6
So turn away from them. The Day the caller will call to something forbidding,
خُشَّعًا اَبۡصَارُهُمۡ يَخۡرُجُوۡنَ مِنَ الۡاَجۡدَاثِ كَاَنَّهُمۡ جَرَادٌ مُّنۡتَشِرٌ ۙ ٧
54:7
Their eyes humbled, they will emerge from the graves as if they were locusts spreading,
مُّهۡطِعِيۡنَ اِلَى الدَّاعِ ؕ يَقُوۡلُ الۡكٰفِرُوۡنَ هٰذَا يَوۡمٌ عَسِرٌ ؕ ٨
54:8
Racing toward the caller. The disbelievers will say, "This is a difficult Day."
كَذَّبَتۡ قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمُ نُوۡحٍ فَكَذَّبُوۡا عَبۡدَنَا وَقَالُوۡا مَجۡنُوۡنٌ وَّازۡدُجِرَ ؕ ٩
54:9
The people of Noah denied before them, and they denied Our servant and said, "A madman," and he was repelled.
فَدَعَا رَبَّهٗۤ اَنِّىۡ مَغۡلُوۡبٌ فَانۡتَصِرۡ ١٠
54:10
So he invoked his Lord, "Indeed, I am overcome, so take revenge."
فَفَتَحۡنَاۤ اَبۡوٰبَ السَّمَآءِ بِمَآءٍ مُّنۡهَمِرٍ ۙ ١١
54:11
So We opened the gates of the heaven with torrential water
وَّفَجَّرۡنَا الۡاَرۡضَ عُيُوۡنًا فَالۡتَقَى الۡمَآءُ عَلٰٓى اَمۡرٍ قَدۡ قُدِرَ ۚ ١٢
54:12
And caused the earth to burst forth with springs, and the waters met for a matter already predestined.
وَحَمَلۡنٰهُ عَلٰى ذَاتِ اَلۡوَاحٍ وَّدُسُرٍ ۙ ١٣
54:13
And We carried him upon [the Ark] of planks and nails,
تَجۡرِىۡ بِاَعۡيُنِنَا ۚ جَزَآءً لِّمَنۡ كَانَ كُفِرَ ؕ ١٤
54:14
Sailing under Our observation as reward for him who had been denied.
وَلَقَدۡ تَّرَكۡنٰهَاۤ اٰيَةً فَهَلۡ مِنۡ مُّدَّكِرٍ ؕ ١٥
54:15
And We left it as a sign, so is there any who will remember?
فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِىۡ وَنُذُرِ ١٦
54:16
And how [severe] was My punishment and warning.
وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا الۡقُرۡاٰنَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِنۡ مُّدَّكِرٍ ؕ ١٧
54:17
And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?
كَذَّبَتۡ عَادٌ فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِىۡ وَنُذُرِ ١٨
54:18
'Aad denied; and how [severe] was My punishment and warning.
اِنَّاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ رِيۡحًا صَرۡصَرًا فِىۡ يَوۡمِ نَحۡسٍ مُّسۡتَمِرٍّ ۙ ١٩
54:19
Indeed, We sent upon them a screaming wind on a day of continuous misfortune,
تَنۡزِعُ النَّاسَ ۙ كَاَنَّهُمۡ اَعۡجَازُ نَخۡلٍ مُّنۡقَعِرٍ ۙ ٢٠
54:20
Extracting the people as if they were trunks of palm trees uprooted.
فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِىۡ وَنُذُرِ ٢١
54:21
And how [severe] was My punishment and warning.
وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا الۡقُرۡاٰنَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِنۡ مُّدَّكِرٍ ؕ ٢٢
54:22
And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?
كَذَّبَتۡ ثَمُوۡدُ بِالنُّذُرِ ٢٣
54:23
Thamūd denied the warnings.
فَقَالُوۡۤا اَبَشَرًا مِّنَّا وَاحِدًا نَّتَّبِعُهٗۤ ۙ اِنَّاۤ اِذًا لَّفِىۡ ضَلٰلٍ وَّسُعُرٍ ۙ ٢٤
54:24
And they said, "Is it a man from among us, single [and alone], whom we are to follow? Indeed, we would then be in error and madness.
اَءُلۡقِىَ الذِّكۡرُ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡۢ بَيۡنِنَا بَلۡ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ اَشِرٌ ؕ ٢٥
54:25
Has the message been revealed to him alone from among us? Rather, he is an insolent liar."
سَيَعۡلَمُوۡنَ غَدًا مَّنِ الۡكَذَّابُ الۡاَشِرُ ٢٦
54:26
They will know tomorrow who is the insolent liar.
اِنَّا مُرۡسِلُوۡا النَّاقَةِ فِتۡنَةً لَّهُمۡ فَاَرۡتَقِبۡهُمۡ وَاصۡطَبِرۡ ۙ ٢٧
54:27
Indeed, We are sending the she-camel as a trial for them, so watch them and be patient.
وَنَبِّئۡهُمۡ اَنَّ الۡمَآءَ قِسۡمَةٌ ۢ بَيۡنَهُمۡ ۚ كُلُّ شِرۡبٍ مُّحۡتَضَرٌ ؕ ٢٨
54:28
And inform them that the water is to be shared between them, each drink being due in its turn.
فَنَادَوۡا صَاحِبَهُمۡ فَتَعَاطٰى فَعَقَرَ ؕ ٢٩
54:29
But they called their companion, and he dared and hamstrung [the camel].
فَكَيۡفَ كَانَ عَذَابِىۡ وَنُذُرِ ٣٠
54:30
And how [severe] was My punishment and warning.
اِنَّاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ صَيۡحَةً وَّاحِدَةً فَكَانُوۡا كَهَشِيۡمِ الۡمُحۡتَظِرِ ٣١
54:31
Indeed, We sent upon them one shout, and they became like the dry twig fragments of [one who constructs] a pen.
وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا الۡقُرۡاٰنَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِنۡ مُّدَّكِرٍ ؕ ٣٢
54:32
And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?
كَذَّبَتۡ قَوۡمُ لُوۡطٍ ۢ بِالنُّذُرِ ٣٣
54:33
The people of Lot denied the warnings.
اِنَّاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ حَاصِبًا اِلَّاۤ اٰلَ لُوۡطٍ ؕ نَجَّيۡنٰهُمۡ بِسَحَرٍ ۙ ٣٤
54:34
Indeed, We sent upon them a storm of stones, except the family of Lot - We saved them at dawn,
نِّعۡمَةً مِّنۡ عِنۡدِنَا ؕ كَذٰلِكَ نَجۡزِىۡ مَنۡ شَكَرَ ٣٥
54:35
As favor from Us. Thus do We reward he who is grateful.
وَلَقَدۡ اَنۡذَرَهُمۡ بَطۡشَتَنَا فَتَمَارَوۡا بِالنُّذُرِ ٣٦
54:36
And he had already warned them of Our grasp, but they disputed the warnings.
وَلَقَدۡ رَاوَدُوۡهُ عَنۡ ضَيۡفِهٖ فَطَمَسۡنَاۤ اَعۡيُنَهُمۡ فَذُوۡقُوۡا عَذَابِىۡ وَنُذُرِ ٣٧
54:37
And they had demanded from him his guests [for immoral purposes], so We obliterated their eyes [and said], "Taste My punishment and warning."
وَلَقَدۡ صَبَّحَهُمۡ بُكۡرَةً عَذَابٌ مُّسۡتَقِرٌّ ۙ ٣٨
54:38
And there came upon them in the morning an enduring punishment.
فَذُوۡقُوۡا عَذَابِىۡ وَنُذُرِ ٣٩
54:39
So taste My punishment and warning.
وَلَقَدۡ يَسَّرۡنَا الۡقُرۡاٰنَ لِلذِّكۡرِ فَهَلۡ مِنۡ مُّدَّكِرٍ ؕ ٤٠
54:40
And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?
وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَ اٰلَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ النُّذُرُ ٤١
54:41
And there certainly came to the people of Pharaoh warnings.
كَذَّبُوۡا بِاٰيٰتِنَا كُلِّهَا فَاَخَذۡنٰهُمۡ اَخۡذَ عَزِيۡزٍ مُّقۡتَدِرٍ ؕ ٤٢
54:42
They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with the seizure of an Almighty, Competent [one].
اَكُفَّارُكُمۡ خَيۡرٌ مِّنۡ اُولٰٓٮِٕكُمۡ اَمۡ لَكُمۡ بَرَآءَةٌ فِىۡ الزُّبُرِ ؕ ٤٣
54:43
Are your disbelievers better than those [previous ones], or have you immunity in the scriptures?
اَمۡ يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ نَحۡنُ جَمِيۡعٌ مُّنۡتَصِرٌ ؕ ٤٤
54:44
Or do they say, "We are an [i.e., invincible] assembly, [and] we will be helped"?
سَيُهۡزَمُ الۡجَمۡعُ وَيُوَلُّوۡنَ الدُّبُرَ ٤٥
54:45
[Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [and flee].
بَلِ السَّاعَةُ مَوۡعِدُهُمۡ وَالسَّاعَةُ اَدۡهٰى وَاَمَرُّ ٤٦
54:46
But the Hour is their appointed time [for punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter.
اِنَّ الۡمُجۡرِمِيۡنَ فِىۡ ضَلٰلٍ وَّسُعُرٍ ۘ ٤٧
54:47
Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness.
يَوۡمَ يُسۡحَبُوۡنَ فِىۡ النَّارِ عَلٰى وُجُوۡهِهِمۡ ؕ ذُوۡقُوۡا مَسَّ سَقَرَ ٤٨
54:48
The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar [hellfire]."
اِنَّا كُلَّ شَىۡءٍ خَلَقۡنٰهُ بِقَدَرٍ ٤٩
54:49
Indeed, all things We created with predestination.
وَمَاۤ اَمۡرُنَاۤ اِلَّا وَاحِدَةٌ كَلَمۡحٍۢ بِالۡبَصَرِ ٥٠
54:50
And Our command is but one [word] like the twinkling of an eye.
وَلَقَدۡ اَهۡلَكۡنَاۤ اَشۡيَاعَكُمۡ فَهَلۡ مِنۡ مُّدَّكِرٍ ؕ ٥١
54:51
And We have already destroyed your counterparts, so is there any who will remember?
وَكُلُّ شَىۡءٍ فَعَلُوۡهُ فِىۡ الزُّبُرِ ۙ ٥٢
54:52
And every matter they have done is in the written records.
وَكُلُّ صَغِيۡرٍ وَّكَبِيۡرٍ مُّسۡتَطَرٌ ٥٣
54:53
And every small and great [thing] is inscribed.
اِنَّ الۡمُتَّقِيۡنَ فِىۡ جَنّٰتٍ وَّنَهَرٍ ۙ ٥٤
54:54
Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers,
فِىۡ مَقۡعَدِ صِدۡقٍ عِنۡدَ مَلِيۡكٍ مُّقۡتَدِرٍ ٪ ٥٥
54:55
In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability.
الرَّحۡمٰنُ ۙ ١
55:1
The Most Merciful
عَلَّمَ الۡقُرۡاٰنَ ؕ ٢
55:2
Taught the Qur'an.
خَلَقَ الۡاِنۡسَانَ ۙ ٣
55:3
He created man,
عَلَّمَهُ الۡبَيَانَ ؕ ٤
55:4
Taught him eloquence.
الشَّمۡسُ وَالۡقَمَرُ بِحُسۡبَانٍ ۙ ٥
55:5
The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation,
وَّالنَّجۡمُ وَالشَّجَرُ يَسۡجُدَانِ ؕ ٦
55:6
And the stars and the trees prostrate.
وَالسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ الۡمِيۡزَانَ ۙ ٧
55:7
And the heaven He raised and set the balance
اَلَّا تَطۡغَوۡا فِىۡ الۡمِيۡزَانِ ۙ ٨
55:8
That you may not transgress [due measure] in the balance.
وَاَقِيۡمُوۡا الۡوَزۡنَ بِالۡقِسۡطِ وَلَا تُخۡسِرُوۡا الۡمِيۡزَانَ ؕ ٩
55:9
And establish the weight in justice, and do not make the scale deficient.
وَالۡاَرۡضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلۡاَنَامِ ۙ ١٠
55:10
And the earth He laid out for the creatures.
فِيۡهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَّالنَّخۡلُ ذَاتُ الۡاَكۡمَامِ ۙ ١١
55:11
Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates]
وَالۡحَبُّ ذُوۡ الۡعَصۡفِ وَالرَّيۡحَانُ ۚ ١٢
55:12
And grain having husks and fragrant plants.
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ١٣
55:13
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
خَلَقَ الۡاِنۡسَانَ مِنۡ صَلۡصَالٍ كَالۡفَخَّارِ ۙ ١٤
55:14
He created man from clay like [that of] pottery.
وَخَلَقَ الۡجَآنَّ مِنۡ مَّارِجٍ مِّنۡ نَّارٍ ۚ ١٥
55:15
And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ١٦
55:16
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
رَبُّ الۡمَشۡرِقَيۡنِ وَرَبُّ الۡمَغۡرِبَيۡنِ ۚ ١٧
55:17
[He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets.
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ١٨
55:18
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
مَرَجَ الۡبَحۡرَيۡنِ يَلۡتَقِيٰنِ ۙ ١٩
55:19
He released the two seas, meeting [side by side];
بَيۡنَهُمَا بَرۡزَخٌ لَّا يَبۡغِيٰنِ ۚ ٢٠
55:20
Between them is a barrier which neither of them transgresses.
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٢١
55:21
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
يَخۡرُجُ مِنۡهُمَا اللُّؤۡلُؤُ وَالۡمَرۡجَانُ ۚ ٢٢
55:22
From both of them emerge pearl and coral.
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٢٣
55:23
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
وَلَهُ الۡجَوَارِ الۡمُنۡشَاٰتُ فِىۡ الۡبَحۡرِ كَالۡاَعۡلَامِ ۚ ٢٤
55:24
And to Him belong the ships [that are] constructed, sailing through the sea, like mountains.
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٢٥
55:25
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
كُلُّ مَنۡ عَلَيۡهَا فَانٍ ۖ ٢٦
55:26
Everyone upon the earth will perish,
وَّيَبۡقٰى وَجۡهُ رَبِّكَ ذُوۡ الۡجَلٰلِ وَالۡاِكۡرَامِ ۚ ٢٧
55:27
And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٢٨
55:28
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
يَسۡـَٔلُهٗ مَنۡ فِىۡ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ ؕ كُلَّ يَوۡمٍ هُوَ فِىۡ شَاۡنٍ ۚ ٢٩
55:29
Whoever is within the heavens and earth asks Him; every day He is in [another] matter.
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٣٠
55:30
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
سَنَفۡرُغُ لَكُمۡ اَيُّهَ الثَّقَلٰنِ ۙ ٣١
55:31
We will attend to you, O prominent ones [jinn and mankind].
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٣٢
55:32
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
يٰمَعۡشَرَ الۡجِنِّ وَالۡاِنۡسِ اِنِ اسۡتَطَعۡتُمۡ اَنۡ تَنۡفُذُوۡا مِنۡ اَقۡطَارِ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ فَانۡفُذُوۡا ؕ لَا تَنۡفُذُوۡنَ اِلَّا بِسُلۡطٰنٍ ۚ ٣٣
55:33
O company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass. You will not pass except by authority [from Allah].
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٣٤
55:34
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
يُرۡسَلُ عَلَيۡكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّنۡ نَّارٍ وَّنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنۡتَصِرٰنِ ۚ ٣٥
55:35
There will be sent upon you a flame of fire and [melted] copper, and you will not be able to defend yourselves.
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٣٦
55:36
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
فَاِذَا انۡشَقَّتِ السَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتۡ وَرۡدَةً كَالدِّهَانِ ۚ ٣٧
55:37
And when the heaven is split apart and becomes rosy like paint,
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٣٨
55:38
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
فَيَوۡمَئِذٍ لَّا يُسۡـَٔلُ عَنۡ ذَنۡۢبِهِۦۤ اِنۡسٌ وَّلَا جَآنٌّ ۚ ٣٩
55:39
Then, on that Day, no man or jinn will be asked about his sin.
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٤٠
55:40
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
يُعۡرَفُ الۡمُجۡرِمُوۡنَ بِسِيۡمٰهُمۡ فَيُؤۡخَذُ بِالنَّوَاصِىۡ وَالۡاَقۡدَامِ ۚ ٤١
55:41
The criminals will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet.
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٤٢
55:42
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
هٰذِهٖ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِىۡ يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا الۡمُجۡرِمُوۡنَ ۚ ٤٣
55:43
This is the Hell which the criminals deny.
يَطُوۡفُوۡنَ بَيۡنَهَا وَبَيۡنَ حَمِيۡمٍ اٰنٍ ۚ ٤٤
55:44
They will circulate between it and scalding water, boiling hot.
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٤٥
55:45
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
وَلِمَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهٖ جَنَّتٰنِ ۚ ٤٦
55:46
But for he who has feared the standing before his Lord are two gardens -
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٤٧
55:47
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
ذَوَاتَاۤ اَفۡنَانٍ ۚ ٤٨
55:48
Having [everything] in abundance and diversity.
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٤٩
55:49
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
فِيۡهِمَا عَيۡنٰنِ تَجۡرِيٰنِ ۚ ٥٠
55:50
In both of them are two springs, flowing.
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٥١
55:51
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
فِيۡهِمَا مِنۡ كُلِّ فَاكِهَةٍ زَوۡجٰنِ ۚ ٥٢
55:52
In both of them are of every fruit two kinds.
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٥٣
55:53
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
مُتَّكِـِٕيۡنَ عَلٰى فُرُشٍ ۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنۡ اِسۡتَبۡرَقٍ ؕ وَجَنَى الۡجَنَّتَيۡنِ دَانٍ ۚ ٥٤
55:54
Reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low.
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٥٥
55:55
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
فِيۡهِنَّ قٰصِرٰتُ الطَّرۡفِ لَمۡ يَطۡمِثۡهُنَّ اِنۡسٌ قَبۡلَهُمۡ وَلَا جَآنٌّ ۚ ٥٦
55:56
In them are women limiting [their] glances, untouched before them by man or jinn -
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٥٧
55:57
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
كَاَنَّهُنَّ الۡيَاقُوۡتُ وَالۡمَرۡجَانُ ۚ ٥٨
55:58
As if they were rubies and coral.
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٥٩
55:59
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
هَلۡ جَزَآءُ الۡاِحۡسَانِ اِلَّا الۡاِحۡسَانُ ۚ ٦٠
55:60
Is the reward for good [anything] but good?
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٦١
55:61
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
وَمِنۡ دُوۡنِهِمَا جَنَّتٰنِ ۚ ٦٢
55:62
And below them both [in excellence] are two [other] gardens -
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٦٣
55:63
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
مُدۡهَآمَّتٰنِ ۚ ٦٤
55:64
Dark green [in color].
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٦٥
55:65
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
فِيۡهِمَا عَيۡنٰنِ نَضَّاخَتٰنِ ۚ ٦٦
55:66
In both of them are two springs, spouting.
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٦٧
55:67
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
فِيۡهِمَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَّنَخۡلٌ وَّرُمَّانٌ ۚ ٦٨
55:68
In both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates.
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٦٩
55:69
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
فِيۡهِنَّ خَيۡرٰتٌ حِسَانٌ ۚ ٧٠
55:70
In them are good and beautiful women -
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٧١
55:71
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
حُوۡرٌ مَّقۡصُوۡرٰتٌ فِىۡ الۡخِيَامِ ۚ ٧٢
55:72
Fair ones reserved in pavilions -
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٧٣
55:73
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
لَمۡ يَطۡمِثۡهُنَّ اِنۡسٌ قَبۡلَهُمۡ وَلَا جَآنٌّ ۚ ٧٤
55:74
Untouched before them by man or jinn.
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٧٥
55:75
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
مُتَّكِـِٕيۡنَ عَلٰى رَفۡرَفٍ خُضۡرٍ وَّعَبۡقَرِىٍّ حِسَانٍ ۚ ٧٦
55:76
Reclining on green cushions and beautiful fine carpets.
فَبِاَىِّ اٰلَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبٰنِ ٧٧
55:77
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
تَبٰرَكَ اسۡمُ رَبِّكَ ذِى الۡجَلٰلِ وَالۡاِكۡرَامِ ٪ ٧٨
55:78
Blessed is the name of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.
اِذَا وَقَعَتِ الۡوَاقِعَةُ ۙ ١
56:1
When the Event occurs -
لَيۡسَ لِوَقۡعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ ۙ ٢
56:2
There is, at its occurrence, no denial.
خَافِضَةٌ رَّافِعَةٌ ۙ ٣
56:3
It will bring down [some] and raise up [others].
اِذَا رُجَّتِ الۡاَرۡضُ رَجًّا ۙ ٤
56:4
When the earth is shaken with a violent shaking
وَّبُسَّتِ الۡجِبَالُ بَسًّا ۙ ٥
56:5
And the mountains are broken down, crumbling
فَكَانَتۡ هَبَآءً مُّنۡۢبَثًّا ؕ ٦
56:6
And become dispersed dust.
وَّكُنۡتُمۡ اَزۡوَاجًا ثَلٰثَةً ؕ ٧
56:7
And you become three kinds.
فَاَصۡحٰبُ الۡمَيۡمَنَةِ ۙ مَاۤ اَصۡحٰبُ الۡمَيۡمَنَةِ ؕ ٨
56:8
Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right?
وَاَصۡحٰبُ الۡمَشۡـَٔمَةِ ۙ مَاۤ اَصۡحٰبُ الۡمَشۡـَٔمَةِ ؕ ٩
56:9
And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left?
وَالسّٰبِقُوۡنَ السّٰبِقُوۡنَ ۙ ١٠
56:10
And the forerunners, the forerunners -
اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ الۡمُقَرَّبُوۡنَ ۙ ١١
56:11
Those are the ones brought near [to Allah]
فِىۡ جَنّٰتِ النَّعِيۡمِ ۙ ١٢
56:12
In the Gardens of Pleasure,
ثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ ۙ ١٣
56:13
A [large] company of the former peoples
وَقَلِيۡلٌ مِّنَ الۡاٰخِرِيۡنَ ؕ ١٤
56:14
And a few of the later peoples.
عَلٰى سُرُرٍ مَّوۡضُوۡنَةٍ ۙ ١٥
56:15
[They will be] on thrones woven with gold and precious stones,
مُّتَّكِـِٕيۡنَ عَلَيۡهَا مُتَقٰبِلِيۡنَ ؕ ١٦
56:16
Reclining on them, facing each other.
يَطُوۡفُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وِلۡدَانٌ مُّخَلَّدُوۡنَ ۙ ١٧
56:17
There will circulate among them [eternal] youths
بِاَكۡوَابٍ وَّاَبَارِيۡقَ ۙ وَكَاۡسٍ مِّنۡ مَّعِيۡنٍ ۙ ١٨
56:18
With cups and pitchers and a goblet [filled] from a flowing spring -
لَّا يُصَدَّعُوۡنَ عَنۡهَا وَلَا يُنۡزِفُوۡنَ ۙ ١٩
56:19
No headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated -
وَفَاكِهَةٍ مِّمَّا يَتَخَيَّرُوۡنَ ۙ ٢٠
56:20
And fruit of what they select
وَلَحۡمِ طَيۡرٍ مِّمَّا يَشۡتَهُوۡنَ ؕ ٢١
56:21
And the meat of bird, from whatever they desire.
وَحُوۡرٌ عِيۡنٌ ۙ ٢٢
56:22
And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes,
كَاَمۡثَالِ اللُّؤۡلُؤِ الۡمَكۡنُوۡنِ ؕ ٢٣
56:23
As an example of preserved pearls
جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَانُوۡا يَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ٢٤
56:24
[As] reward for what they used to do.
لَا يَسۡمَعُوۡنَ فِيۡهَا لَغۡوًا وَّلَا تَاۡثِيۡمًا ۙ ٢٥
56:25
No ill speech will they hear therein or any mention of sin -
اِلَّا قِيۡلًا سَلٰمًا سَلٰمًا ؕ ٢٦
56:26
Only the saying of peace, peace.
وَاَصۡحٰبُ الۡيَمِيۡنِ ۙ مَاۤ اَصۡحٰبُ الۡيَمِيۡنِ ؕ ٢٧
56:27
And the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right?
فِىۡ سِدۡرٍ مَّخۡضُوۡدٍ ۙ ٢٨
56:28
[They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed
وَّطَلۡحٍ مَّنۡضُوۡدٍ ۙ ٢٩
56:29
And [banana] trees layered [with fruit]
وَّظِلٍّ مَّمۡدُوۡدٍ ۙ ٣٠
56:30
And shade extended
وَّمَآءٍ مَّسۡكُوۡبٍ ۙ ٣١
56:31
And water [continually] poured out
وَفَاكِهَةٍ كَثِيۡرَةٍ ۙ ٣٢
56:32
And fruit in abundance
لَّا مَقۡطُوۡعَةٍ وَّلَا مَمۡنُوۡعَةٍ ۙ ٣٣
56:33
Neither ending nor forbidden,
وَّفُرُشٍ مَّرۡفُوۡعَةٍ ؕ ٣٤
56:34
And [upon] beds raised high.
اِنَّاۤ اَنۡشَاۡنٰهُنَّ اِنۡشَآءً ۙ ٣٥
56:35
Indeed, We have produced the women of Paradise in a [new] creation
فَجَعَلۡنٰهُنَّ اَبۡكَارًا ۙ ٣٦
56:36
And made them virgins,
عُرُبًا اَتۡرَابًا ۙ ٣٧
56:37
Loving, equal in age
لِّاَصۡحٰبِ الۡيَمِيۡنِ ؕ ٣٨
56:38
For the companions of the right -
ثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ ۙ ٣٩
56:39
A [large] company of the former peoples
وَثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ الۡاٰخِرِيۡنَ ؕ ٤٠
56:40
And a [large] company of the later peoples.
وَاَصۡحٰبُ الشِّمَالِ ۙ مَاۤ اَصۡحٰبُ الشِّمَالِ ؕ ٤١
56:41
And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left?
فِىۡ سَمُوۡمٍ وَّحَمِيۡمٍ ۙ ٤٢
56:42
[They will be] in scorching fire and scalding water
وَّظِلٍّ مِّنۡ يَحۡمُوۡمٍ ۙ ٤٣
56:43
And a shade of black smoke,
لَّا بَارِدٍ وَّلَا كَرِيۡمٍ ؕ ٤٤
56:44
Neither cool nor beneficial.
اِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوۡا قَبۡلَ ذٰلِكَ مُتۡرَفِيۡنَ ۙ ٤٥
56:45
Indeed, they were before that luxurious [in life].
وَكَانُوۡا يُصِرُّوۡنَ عَلَى الۡحِنۡثِ الۡعَظِيۡمِ ۙ ٤٦
56:46
And they used to persist in the great violation [of right and truth].
وَكَانُوۡا يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ اَئِذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَّعِظَامًا اَءِنَّا لَمَبۡعُوۡثُوۡنَ ۙ ٤٧
56:47
And they used to say, "When we die and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?
اَوَ اٰبَآؤُنَا الۡاَوَّلُوۡنَ ؕ ٤٨
56:48
Or [even] our forefathers?"
قُلۡ اِنَّ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ وَالۡاٰخِرِيۡنَ ۙ ٤٩
56:49
Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, the former generations and the later generations
لَمَجۡمُوۡعُوۡنَ اِلٰى مِيۡقَاتِ يَوۡمٍ مَّعۡلُوۡمٍ ؕ ٥٠
56:50
Are to be gathered together for an appointed meeting of a known Day."
ثُمَّ اِنَّكُمۡ اَيُّهَا الضَّآلُّوۡنَ الۡمُكَذِّبُوۡنَ ۙ ٥١
56:51
Then indeed, you, O those astray [who are] deniers,
لَاٰكِلُوۡنَ مِنۡ شَجَرٍ مِّنۡ زَقُّوۡمٍ ۙ ٥٢
56:52
Will surely eat from a tree of Zaqqūm
فَمَالِـُٔوۡنَ مِنۡهَا الۡبُطُوۡنَ ؕ ٥٣
56:53
And fill with it your bellies
فَشٰرِبُوۡنَ عَلَيۡهِ مِنَ الۡحَمِيۡمِ ۙ ٥٤
56:54
And drink on top of it [boiling] scalding water
فَشٰرِبُوۡنَ شُرۡبَ الۡهِيۡمِ ؕ ٥٥
56:55
And drink like thirsty camels.
هٰذَا نُزُلُهُمۡ يَوۡمَ الدِّيۡنِ ؕ ٥٦
56:56
That is their reception on the Day of Recompense.
نَحۡنُ خَلَقۡنٰكُمۡ فَلَوۡلَا تُصَدِّقُوۡنَ ؕ ٥٧
56:57
We have created you, so why do you not believe?
اَفَرَءَيۡتُمۡ مَّا تُمۡنُوۡنَ ؕ ٥٨
56:58
Have you considered the sperm that you emit?
ءَاَنۡتُمۡ تَخۡلُقُوۡنَهٗۤ اَمۡ نَحۡنُ الۡخٰلِقُوۡنَ ؕ ٥٩
56:59
Is it you who creates it, or are We the Creator?
نَحۡنُ قَدَّرۡنَا بَيۡنَكُمُ الۡمَوۡتَ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمَسۡبُوۡقِيۡنَ ۙ ٦٠
56:60
We have decreed among you [that] death [will occur], and We are not to be outdone
عَلٰٓى اَنۡ نُّبَدِّلَ اَمۡثٰلَكُمۡ وَنُنۡشِئَكُمۡ فِىۡ مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ؕ ٦١
56:61
In that We will change your forms and create you in that which you do not know.
وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡتُمُ النَّشۡاَةَ الۡاُوۡلٰى فَلَوۡلَا تَذَكَّرُوۡنَ ؕ ٦٢
56:62
And you had already known the first creation, so will you not remember?
اَفَرَءَيۡتُمۡ مَّا تَحۡرُثُوۡنَ ؕ ٦٣
56:63
And have you considered that which you cultivate?
ءَاَنۡتُمۡ تَزۡرَعُوۡنَهٗۤ اَمۡ نَحۡنُ الزّٰرِعُوۡنَ ؕ ٦٤
56:64
Is it you who makes it grow, or are We the grower?
لَوۡ نَشَآءُ لَجَعَلۡنٰهُ حُطَامًا فَظَلۡتُمۡ تَفَكَّهُوۡنَ ۙ ٦٥
56:65
If We willed, We could make it [dry] debris, and you would remain constantly wondering,
اِنَّا لَمُغۡرَمُوۡنَ ۙ ٦٦
56:66
[Saying], "Indeed, we are [now] in debt;
بَلۡ نَحۡنُ مَحۡرُوۡمُوۡنَ ؕ ٦٧
56:67
Rather, we have been deprived."
اَفَرَءَيۡتُمُ الۡمَآءَ الَّذِىۡ تَشۡرَبُوۡنَ ؕ ٦٨
56:68
And have you considered the water that you drink?
ءَاَنۡتُمۡ اَنۡزَلۡتُمُوۡهُ مِنَ الۡمُزۡنِ اَمۡ نَحۡنُ الۡمُنۡزِلُوۡنَ ؕ ٦٩
56:69
Is it you who brought it down from the clouds, or is it We who bring it down?
لَوۡ نَشَآءُ جَعَلۡنٰهُ اُجَاجًا فَلَوۡلَا تَشۡكُرُوۡنَ ؕ ٧٠
56:70
If We willed, We could make it bitter, so why are you not grateful?
اَفَرَءَيۡتُمُ النَّارَ الَّتِىۡ تُوۡرُوۡنَ ؕ ٧١
56:71
And have you considered the fire that you ignite?
ءَاَنۡتُمۡ اَنۡشَاۡتُمۡ شَجَرَتَهَاۤ اَمۡ نَحۡنُ الۡمُنۡشِـُٔوۡنَ ؕ ٧٢
56:72
Is it you who produced its tree, or are We the producer?
نَحۡنُ جَعَلۡنٰهَا تَذۡكِرَةً وَّمَتَاعًا لِّلۡمُقۡوِيۡنَ ؕ ٧٣
56:73
We have made it a reminder and provision for the travelers.
فَسَبِّحۡ بِاسۡمِ رَبِّكَ الۡعَظِيۡمِ ؕ ٧٤
56:74
So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great.
فَلَاۤ اُقۡسِمُ بِمَوٰقِعِ النُّجُوۡمِ ۙ ٧٥
56:75
Then I swear by the setting of the stars,
وَاِنَّهٗ لَقَسَمٌ لَّوۡ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ عَظِيۡمٌ ۙ ٧٦
56:76
And indeed, it is an oath of tremendous gravity, if you only knew.
اِنَّهٗ لَقُرۡاٰنٌ كَرِيۡمٌ ۙ ٧٧
56:77
Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an
فِىۡ كِتٰبٍ مَّكۡنُوۡنٍ ۙ ٧٨
56:78
In a Register well-protected;
لَّا يَمَسُّهٗۤ اِلَّا الۡمُطَهَّرُوۡنَ ؕ ٧٩
56:79
None touch it except the purified;
تَنۡزِيۡلٌ مِّنۡ رَّبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ ؕ ٨٠
56:80
A revelation from the Lord of the worlds.
اَفَبِهٰذَا الۡحَدِيۡثِ اَنۡتُمۡ مُّدۡهِنُوۡنَ ۙ ٨١
56:81
Then is it this statement [the Qur'an] that you disregard?
وَتَجۡعَلُوۡنَ رِزۡقَكُمۡ اَنَّكُمۡ تُكَذِّبُوۡنَ ؕ ٨٢
56:82
And make [your response to] your provision that you disbelieve?
فَلَوۡلَاۤ اِذَا بَلَغَتِ الۡحُلۡقُوۡمَ ۙ ٨٣
56:83
Then why, when the soul reaches the throat [at death]
وَاَنۡتُمۡ حِيۡنَئِذٍ تَنۡظُرُوۡنَ ۙ ٨٤
56:84
And you are at that time looking on -
وَنَحۡنُ اَقۡرَبُ اِلَيۡهِ مِنۡكُمۡ وَلٰكِن لَّا تُبۡصِرُوۡنَ ۙ ٨٥
56:85
And We are nearer to him than you, but you do not see -
فَلَوۡلَاۤ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ غَيۡرَ مَدِيۡنِيۡنَ ۙ ٨٦
56:86
Then why, if you are not to be judged,
تَرۡجِعُوۡنَهَاۤ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ صٰدِقِيۡنَ ؕ ٨٧
56:87
Do you not bring it [the soul] back, if you should be truthful?
فَاَمَّاۤ اِنۡ كَانَ مِنَ الۡمُقَرَّبِيۡنَ ۙ ٨٨
56:88
And if the deceased was of those brought near [to Allah],
فَرَوۡحٌ وَّرَيۡحَانٌ وَّجَنَّتُ نَعِيۡمٍ ؕ ٨٩
56:89
Then [there will be for him] rest and fragrance and a Garden of Pleasure.
وَاَمَّاۤ اِنۡ كَانَ مِنۡ اَصۡحٰبِ الۡيَمِيۡنِ ۙ ٩٠
56:90
But if he was of the companions of the right,
فَسَلٰمٌ لَّكَ مِنۡ اَصۡحٰبِ الۡيَمِيۡنِ ؕ ٩١
56:91
Then [it is said], "Peace to you from the companions of the right."
وَاَمَّاۤ اِنۡ كَانَ مِنَ الۡمُكَذِّبِيۡنَ الضَّآلِّيۡنَ ۙ ٩٢
56:92
But if he was of the deniers, the astray,
فَنُزُلٌ مِّنۡ حَمِيۡمٍ ۙ ٩٣
56:93
Then [for him is] hospitality of scalding water
وَّتَصۡلِيَةُ جَحِيۡمٍ ؕ ٩٤
56:94
And burning in Hellfire.
اِنَّ هٰذَا لَهُوَ حَقُّ الۡيَقِيۡنِ ؕ ٩٥
56:95
Indeed, this is the truth of certainty.
فَسَبِّحۡ بِاسۡمِ رَبِّكَ الۡعَظِيۡمِ ٪ ٩٦
56:96
So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great.
سَبَّحَ لِلّٰهِ مَا فِىۡ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ ۚ وَهُوَ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الۡحَكِيۡمُ ؕ ١
57:1
Whatever is in the heavens and earth exalts Allah, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
لَهُ مُلۡكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ ۚ يُحۡيِۦ وَيُمِيۡتُ ۚ وَهُوَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ قَدِيۡرٌ ؕ ٢
57:2
To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. He gives life and causes death, and He is over all things competent.
هُوَ الۡاَوَّلُ وَالۡاٰخِرُ وَالظَّاهِرُ وَالۡبَاطِنُ ۚ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَىۡءٍ عَلِيۡمٌ ؕ ٣
57:3
He is the First and the Last, the Manifest and the Hidden, and He is, of all things, Knowing.
هُوَ الَّذِىۡ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضَ فِىۡ سِتَّةِ اَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسۡتَوٰى عَلَى الۡعَرۡشِ ؕ يَعۡلَمُ مَا يَلِجُ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ وَمَا يَخۡرُجُ مِنۡهَا وَمَا يَنۡزِلُ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ وَمَا يَعۡرُجُ فِيۡهَا ؕ وَهُوَ مَعَكُمۡ اَيۡنَ مَا كُنۡتُمۡ ؕ وَاللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ بَصِيۡرٌ ؕ ٤
57:4
It is He who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne. He knows what penetrates the earth and what emerges from it and what descends from the heaven and what ascends therein. And He is with you wherever you are. And Allah, of whatever you do, is Seeing.
لَهُ مُلۡكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ ؕ وَاِلَى اللّٰهِ تُرۡجَعُ الۡاُمُوۡرُ ؕ ٥
57:5
To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and earth. And to Allah are returned [all] matters.
يُوۡلِجُ الَّيۡلَ فِىۡ النَّهَارِ وَيُوۡلِجُ النَّهَارَ فِىۡ الَّيۡلِ ۚ وَهُوَ عَلِيۡمٌۢ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُوۡرِ ؕ ٦
57:6
He causes the night to enter the day and causes the day to enter the night, and He is Knowing of that within the breasts.
اٰمِنُوۡا بِاللّٰهِ وَرَسُوۡلِهٖ وَاَنۡفِقُوۡا مِمَّا جَعَلَكُمۡ مُّسۡتَخۡلَفِيۡنَ فِيۡهِ ؕ فَالَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا مِنۡكُمۡ وَاَنۡفَقُوۡا لَهُمۡ اَجۡرٌ كَبِيۡرٌ ؕ ٧
57:7
Believe in Allah and His Messenger and spend out of that in which He has made you successors. For those among you who have believed and spent, there will be a great reward.
وَمَا لَكُمۡ لَا تُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِاللّٰهِ ۙ وَالرَّسُوۡلُ يَدۡعُوۡكُمۡ لِتُؤۡمِنُوۡا بِرَبِّكُمۡ وَقَدۡ اَخَذَ مِيۡثٰقَكُمۡ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ مُّؤۡمِنِيۡنَ ؕ ٨
57:8
And what is [the matter] with you that you believe not in Allah while the Messenger invites you to believe in your Lord, and He has taken your covenant, if you should [be willing to] believe?
هُوَ الَّذِىۡ يُنَزِّلُ عَلٰى عَبۡدِهٖۤ اٰيٰتٍۢ بَيِّنٰتٍ لِّيُخۡرِجَكُمۡ مِّنَ الظُّلُمٰتِ اِلَى النُّوۡرِ ؕ وَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ بِكُمۡ لَرَءُوۡفٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ ؕ ٩
57:9
It is He who sends down upon His Servant verses of clear evidence that He may bring you out from darknesses into the light. And indeed, Allah is to you Kind and Merciful.
وَمَا لَكُمۡ اَلَّا تُنۡفِقُوۡا فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ وَلِلّٰهِ مِيۡرَاثُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ ؕ لَا يَسۡتَوِىۡ مِنۡكُمۡ مَّنۡ اَنۡفَقَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِ الۡفَتۡحِ وَقٰتَلَ ؕ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ اَعۡظَمُ دَرَجَةً مِّنَ الَّذِيۡنَ اَنۡفَقُوۡا مِنۡۢ بَعۡدُ وَقٰتَلُوۡا ؕ وَكُلًّا وَّعَدَ اللّٰهُ الۡحُسۡنٰى ؕ وَاللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ خَبِيۡرٌ ؕ ١٠
57:10
And why do you not spend in the cause of Allah while to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Not equal among you are those who spent before the conquest [of Makkah] and fought [and those who did so after it]. Those are greater in degree than they who spent afterwards and fought. But to all has Allah promised the best [reward]. And Allah is, with what you do, Acquainted.
مَنۡ ذَا الَّذِىۡ يُقۡرِضُ اللّٰهَ قَرۡضًا حَسَنًا فَيُضٰعِفَهٗ لَهُ وَلَهُ اَجۡرٌ كَرِيۡمٌ ؕ ١١
57:11
Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him and he will have a noble reward?
يَوۡمَ تَرَى الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ وَالۡمُؤۡمِنٰتِ يَسۡعٰى نُوۡرُهُمۡ بَيۡنَ اَيۡدِيۡهِمۡ وَبِاَيۡمَانِهِمۡ بُشۡرٰىكُمُ الۡيَوۡمَ جَنّٰتٌ تَجۡرِىۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِهَا الۡاَنۡهٰرُ خٰلِدِيۡنَ فِيۡهَا ؕ ذٰلِكَ هُوَ الۡفَوۡزُ الۡعَظِيۡمُ ۚ ١٢
57:12
On the Day you see the believing men and believing women, their light proceeding before them and on their right, [it will be said], "Good tidings for you today - gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein you will abide forever." That is the great attainment.
يَوۡمَ يَقُوۡلُ الۡمُنٰفِقُوۡنَ وَالۡمُنٰفِقٰتُ لِلَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوا انۡظُرُوۡنَا نَقۡتَبِسۡ مِنۡ نُّوۡرِكُمۡ ۚ قِيۡلَ ارۡجِعُوۡا وَرَآءَكُمۡ فَالۡتَمِسُوۡا نُوۡرًا ؕ فَضُرِبَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ بِسُوۡرٍ لَّهُ بَابٌ ؕ بَاطِنُهٗ فِيۡهِ الرَّحۡمَةُ وَظَاهِرُهٗ مِنۡ قِبَلِهِ الۡعَذَابُ ؕ ١٣
57:13
On the Day the hypocrite men and hypocrite women will say to those who believed, "Wait for us that we may acquire some of your light." It will be said, "Go back behind you and seek light." And a wall will be placed between them with a gate, the interior of which contains mercy, and the exterior of which is toward the punishment.
يُنَادُوۡنَهُمۡ اَلَمۡ نَكُنۡ مَّعَكُمۡ ؕ قَالُوۡا بَلٰى وَلٰكِنَّكُمۡ فَتَنۡتُمۡ اَنۡفُسَكُمۡ وَتَرَبَّصۡتُمۡ وَارۡتَبۡتُمۡ وَغَرَّتۡكُمُ الۡاَمَانِىُّ حَتّٰى جَآءَ اَمۡرُ اللّٰهِ وَغَرَّكُمۡ بِاللّٰهِ الۡغَرُوۡرُ ؕ ١٤
57:14
They will call to them, "Were we not with you?" They will say, "Yes, but you afflicted yourselves and awaited [misfortune for us] and doubted, and wishful thinking deluded you until there came the command of Allah. And the Deceiver deceived you concerning Allah.
فَالۡيَوۡمَ لَا يُؤۡخَذُ مِنۡكُمۡ فِدۡيَةٌ وَّلَا مِنَ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا ؕ مَاۡوٰٮكُمُ النَّارُ ؕ هِىَ مَوۡلٰٮكُمۡ ؕ وَبِئۡسَ الۡمَصِيۡرُ ؕ ١٥
57:15
So today no ransom will be taken from you or from those who disbelieved. Your refuge is the Fire. It is [most] worthy of you, and wretched is the destination."
اَلَمۡ يَاۡنِ لِلَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اَنۡ تَخۡشَعَ قُلُوۡبُهُمۡ لِذِكۡرِ اللّٰهِ وَمَا نَزَلَ مِنَ الۡحَقِّ ۙ وَلَا يَكُوۡنُوۡا كَالَّذِيۡنَ اُوۡتُوۡا الۡكِتٰبَ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ فَطَالَ عَلَيۡهِمُ الۡاَمَدُ فَقَسَتۡ قُلُوۡبُهُمۡ ؕ وَكَثِيۡرٌ مِّنۡهُمۡ فٰسِقُوۡنَ ؕ ١٦
57:16
Has the time not arrived for those who believed that their hearts should become humbly submissive at the remembrance of Allah and what has come down of the truth? And let them not be like those who were given the Scripture before, and a long period passed over them, so their hearts hardened; and many of them are defiantly disobedient.
اِعۡلَمُوۡۤا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ يُحۡيِ الۡاَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِهَا ؕ قَدۡ بَيَّنَّا لَكُمُ الۡاٰيٰتِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَعۡقِلُوۡنَ ؕ ١٧
57:17
Know that Allah gives life to the earth after its lifelessness. We have made clear to you the signs, that you might reason.
اِنَّ الۡمُصَّدِّقِيۡنَ وَالۡمُصَّدِّقٰتِ وَاَقۡرَضُوۡا اللّٰهَ قَرۡضًا حَسَنًا يُّضٰعَفُ لَهُمۡ وَلَهُمۡ اَجۡرٌ كَرِيۡمٌ ؕ ١٨
57:18
Indeed, the men who practice charity and the women who practice charity and [who] have loaned Allah a goodly loan - it will be multiplied for them, and they will have a noble reward.
وَالَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا بِاللّٰهِ وَرُسُلِهٖۤ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ الصِّدِّيۡقُوۡنَ ؕ وَالشُّهَدَآءُ عِنۡدَ رَبِّهِمۡ ؕ لَهُمۡ اَجۡرُهُمۡ وَنُوۡرُهُمۡ ؕ وَالَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا وَكَذَّبُوۡا بِاٰيٰتِنَاۤ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ اَصۡحٰبُ الۡجَحِيۡمِ ؕ ١٩
57:19
And those who have believed in Allah and His messengers - those are [in the ranks of] the подтверждающие truth (Siddiqoon) and the martyrs in the sight of their Lord. For them is their reward and their light. But those who have disbelieved and denied Our signs - those are the companions of the Hellfire.
اِعۡلَمُوۡۤا اَنَّمَا الۡحَيٰوةُ الدُّنۡيَا لَعِبٌ وَّلَهۡوٌ وَّزِيۡنَةٌ وَّتَفَاخُرٌۢ بَيۡنَكُمۡ وَتَكَاثُرٌ فِىۡ الۡاَمۡوَالِ وَالۡاَوۡلَادِ ؕ كَمَثَلِ غَيۡثٍ اَعۡجَبَ الۡكُفَّارَ نَبَاتُهٗ ثُمَّ يَهِيۡجُ فَتَرٰٮهُ مُصۡفَرًّا ثُمَّ يَكُوۡنُ حُطَامًا ؕ وَفِىۡ الۡاٰخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ شَدِيۡدٌ ۙ وَّمَغۡفِرَةٌ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ وَرِضۡوَانٌ ؕ وَمَا الۡحَيٰوةُ الدُّنۡيَاۤ اِلَّا مَتَاعُ الۡغُرُوۡرِ ؕ ٢٠
57:20
Know that the life of this world is only play and amusement, pomp and mutual boasting among you and rivalry in respect of wealth and children. [It is] like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it [become] yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and [also] forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion.
سَابِقُوۡۤا اِلٰى مَغۡفِرَةٍ مِّنۡ رَّبِّكُمۡ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرۡضُهَا كَعَرۡضِ السَّمَآءِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ اُعِدَّتۡ لِلَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا بِاللّٰهِ وَرُسُلِهٖ ؕ ذٰلِكَ فَضۡلُ اللّٰهِ يُؤۡتِيۡهِ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ ؕ وَاللّٰهُ ذُوۡ الۡفَضۡلِ الۡعَظِيۡمِ ؕ ٢١
57:21
Race toward forgiveness from your Lord and a Garden whose width is like the width of the heavens and earth, prepared for those who believed in Allah and His messengers. That is the bounty of Allah which He gives to whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty.
مَاۤ اَصَابَ مِنۡ مُّصِيۡبَةٍ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ وَلَا فِىۡۤ اَنۡفُسِكُمۡ اِلَّا فِىۡ كِتٰبٍ مِّنۡ قَبۡلِ اَنۡ نَّبۡرَاَهَا ؕ اِنَّ ذٰلِكَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ يَسِيۡرٌ ۚ ٢٢
57:22
No disaster strikes upon the earth or among yourselves except that it is in a register before We bring it into being - indeed that, for Allah, is easy -
لِّكَيۡلَا تَاۡسَوۡا عَلٰى مَا فَاتَكُمۡ وَلَا تَفۡرَحُوۡا بِمَاۤ اٰتٰٮكُمۡ ؕ وَاللّٰهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخۡتَالٍ فَخُوۡرٍ ۙ ٢٣
57:23
In order that you might not grieve over what has escaped you nor exult [too much] over what has come to you. And Allah does not like every self-deluded and boastful [person] -
الَّذِيۡنَ يَبۡخَلُوۡنَ وَيَاۡمُرُوۡنَ النَّاسَ بِالۡبُخۡلِ ؕ وَمَنۡ يَّتَوَلَّ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الۡغَنِىُّ الۡحَمِيۡدُ ؕ ٢٤
57:24
Those who are stingy and enjoin upon people stinginess. And whoever turns away - then indeed, Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy.
لَقَدۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَا رُسُلَنَا بِالۡبَيِّنٰتِ وَاَنۡزَلۡنَا مَعَهُمُ الۡكِتٰبَ وَالۡمِيۡزَانَ لِيَقُوۡمَ النَّاسُ بِالۡقِسۡطِ ۚ وَاَنۡزَلۡنَا الۡحَدِيۡدَ فِيۡهِ بَاۡسٌ شَدِيۡدٌ وَّمَنَافِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلِيَعۡلَمَ اللّٰهُ مَنۡ يَّنۡصُرُهٗ وَرُسُلَهٗ بِالۡغَيۡبِ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ قَوِىٌّ عَزِيۡزٌ ؕ ٢٥
57:25
We have already sent Our messengers with clear evidences and sent down with them the Scripture and the balance that the people may maintain [their affairs] in justice. And We sent down iron, wherein is great military might and benefits for the people, and that Allah may make evident those who support Him and His messengers unseen. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.
وَلَقَدۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَا نُوۡحًا وَّاِبۡرٰهِيۡمَ وَجَعَلۡنَا فِىۡ ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا النُّبُوَّةَ وَالۡكِتٰبَ فَمِنۡهُمۡ مُّهۡتَدٍ ۚ وَكَثِيۡرٌ مِّنۡهُمۡ فٰسِقُوۡنَ ؕ ٢٦
57:26
And We have already sent Noah and Abraham and placed in their descendants prophethood and the Scripture; and among them is he who is guided, but many of them are defiantly disobedient.
ثُمَّ قَفَّيۡنَا عَلٰٓى اٰثٰرِهِمۡ بِرُسُلِنَا وَقَفَّيۡنَا بِعِيۡسَى ابۡنِ مَرۡيَمَ وَاٰتَيۡنٰهُ الۡاِنۡجِيۡلَ ۖ وَجَعَلۡنَا فِىۡ قُلُوۡبِ الَّذِيۡنَ اتَّبَعُوۡهُ رَاۡفَةً وَّرَحۡمَةً ؕ وَرَهۡبَانِيَّةَۨ ابۡتَدَعُوۡهَا مَا كَتَبۡنٰهَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ اِلَّا ابۡتِغَآءَ رِضۡوَانِ اللّٰهِ فَمَا رَعَوۡهَا حَقَّ رِعَايَتِهَا ۚ فَاٰتَيۡنَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا مِنۡهُمۡ اَجۡرَهُمۡ ۚ وَكَثِيۡرٌ مِّنۡهُمۡ فٰسِقُوۡنَ ؕ ٢٧
57:27
Then We sent following their footsteps Our messengers and followed [them] with Jesus, the son of Mary, and gave him the Gospel. And We put in the hearts of those who followed him compassion and mercy. And monasticism, they invented it; We did not prescribe it for them except [that they did so] seeking the approval of Allah. But they did not observe it with due observance. So We gave those who believed among them their reward, but many of them are defiantly disobedient.
يٰۤاَيُّهَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاٰمِنُوۡا بِرَسُوۡلِهٖ يُؤۡتِكُمۡ كِفۡلَيۡنِ مِنۡ رَّحۡمَتِهٖ وَيَجۡعَلۡ لَّكُمۡ نُوۡرًا تَمۡشُوۡنَ بِهٖ وَيَغۡفِرۡ لَكُمۡ ؕ وَاللّٰهُ غَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ ۙ ٢٨
57:28
O you who have believed, fear Allah and believe in His Messenger; He will [then] give you two portions of His mercy and make for you a light by which you will walk and forgive you; and Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
لِّئَلَّا يَعۡلَمَ اَهۡلُ الۡكِتٰبِ اَلَّا يَقۡدِرُوۡنَ عَلٰى شَىۡءٍ مِّنۡ فَضۡلِ اللّٰهِ ۙ وَاَنَّ الۡفَضۡلَ بِيَدِ اللّٰهِ يُؤۡتِيۡهِ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ ؕ وَاللّٰهُ ذُوۡ الۡفَضۡلِ الۡعَظِيۡمِ ٪ ٢٩
57:29
[Provision is made] so that the People of the Scripture may know that they have no control over anything of the bounty of Allah, and that [all] bounty is in the hand of Allah; He grants it to whom He wills. And Allah is the possessor of great bounty.
