Juz 30
(78:1 – 114:6)
عَمَّ يَتَسَآءَلُوۡنَ ۚ ١
78:1
About what are they asking one another?
عَنِ النَّبَاِ الۡعَظِيۡمِ ۙ ٢
78:2
About the great news -
الَّذِىۡ هُمۡ فِيۡهِ مُخۡتَلِفُوۡنَ ؕ ٣
78:3
That over which they are in disagreement.
كَلَّا سَيَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ۙ ٤
78:4
No! They are going to know.
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ؕ ٥
78:5
Then, no! They are going to know.
اَلَمۡ نَجۡعَلِ الۡاَرۡضَ مِهٰدًا ۙ ٦
78:6
Have We not made the earth a resting place?
وَّالۡجِبَالَ اَوۡتَادًا ۙ ٧
78:7
And the mountains as stakes?
وَّخَلَقۡنٰكُمۡ اَزۡوَاجًا ۙ ٨
78:8
And created you in pairs?
وَّجَعَلۡنَا نَوۡمَكُمۡ سُبَاتًا ۙ ٩
78:9
And made your sleep [a means of] rest?
وَّجَعَلۡنَا الَّيۡلَ لِبَاسًا ۙ ١٠
78:10
And made the night as a cover?
وَّجَعَلۡنَا النَّهَارَ مَعَاشًا ؕ ١١
78:11
And made the day for livelihood?
وَّبَنَيۡنَا فَوۡقَكُمۡ سَبۡعًا شِدَادًا ۙ ١٢
78:12
And built above you seven strong [heavens]?
وَّجَعَلۡنَا سِرَاجًا وَّهَّاجًا ۙ ١٣
78:13
And made [therein] a burning lamp?
وَّاَنۡزَلۡنَا مِنَ الۡمُعۡصِرٰتِ مَآءً ثَجَّاجًا ۙ ١٤
78:14
And sent down, from the rain clouds, pouring water
لِّنُخۡرِجَ بِهٖ حَبًّا وَّنَبَاتًا ۙ ١٥
78:15
That We may bring forth thereby grain and vegetation
وَّجَنّٰتٍ اَلۡفَافًا ؕ ١٦
78:16
And gardens of luxurious growth?
اِنَّ يَوۡمَ الۡفَصۡلِ كَانَ مِيۡقَاتًا ۙ ١٧
78:17
Indeed, the Day of Judgment is an appointed time -
يَّوۡمَ يُنۡفَخُ فِىۡ الصُّوۡرِ فَتَاۡتُوۡنَ اَفۡوَاجًا ۙ ١٨
78:18
The Day the Horn will be blown and you will come forth in multitudes
وَّفُتِحَتِ السَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتۡ اَبۡوَابًا ۙ ١٩
78:19
And the heaven will be opened and will become [like] gates
وَّسُيِّرَتِ الۡجِبَالُ فَكَانَتۡ سَرَابًا ؕ ٢٠
78:20
And the mountains will be removed and will become as a mirage.
اِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتۡ مِرۡصَادًا ۙ ٢١
78:21
Indeed, Hell is lying in wait,
لِّلطّٰغِيۡنَ مَاٰبًا ۙ ٢٢
78:22
For the transgressors, a place of return,
لّٰبِثِيۡنَ فِيۡهَاۤ اَحۡقَابًا ۚ ٢٣
78:23
In which they will remain for ages [unending].
لَّا يَذُوۡقُوۡنَ فِيۡهَا بَرۡدًا وَّلَا شَرَابًا ۙ ٢٤
78:24
They will not taste therein [any] coolness or drink
اِلَّا حَمِيۡمًا وَّغَسَّاقًا ۙ ٢٥
78:25
Except scalding water and [foul] pus -
جَزَآءً وِّفَاقًا ؕ ٢٦
78:26
An appropriate recompense.
اِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوۡا لَا يَرۡجُوۡنَ حِسَابًا ۚ ٢٧
78:27
Indeed, they were not expecting an account,
وَّكَذَّبُوۡا بِاٰيٰتِنَا كِذَّابًا ؕ ٢٨
78:28
And denied Our signs with [emphatic] denial.
وَكُلَّ شَىۡءٍ اَحۡصَيۡنٰهُ كِتٰبًا ۙ ٢٩
78:29
But all things We have enumerated in writing.
فَذُوۡقُوۡا فَلَنۡ نَّزِيۡدَكُمۡ اِلَّا عَذَابًا ؕ ٣٠
78:30
"So taste [the penalty]; for never will We increase you except in torment."
اِنَّ لِلۡمُتَّقِيۡنَ مَفَازًا ۙ ٣١
78:31
Indeed, for the righteous is [success and] achievement -
حَدَآٮِٕقَ وَاَعۡنَابًا ۙ ٣٢
78:32
Gardens and grapevines
وَّكَوَاعِبَ اَتۡرَابًا ۙ ٣٣
78:33
And full-breasted [companions] of equal age
وَّكَاۡسًا دِهَاقًا ۙ ٣٤
78:34
And a full cup [of wine].
لَّا يَسۡمَعُوۡنَ فِيۡهَا لَغۡوًا وَّلَا كِذّٰبًا ۚ ٣٥
78:35
No ill speech will they hear therein or any falsehood -
جَزَآءً مِّنۡ رَّبِّكَ عَطَآءً حِسَابًا ۙ ٣٦
78:36
[As] reward from your Lord, a gift [to account for what they did].
رَبِّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا الرَّحۡمٰنِ ۖ لَا يَمۡلِكُوۡنَ مِنۡهُ خِطَابًا ۘ ٣٧
78:37
The Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Most Merciful. They possess not from Him [authority for] speech.
يَوۡمَ يَقُوۡمُ الرُّوۡحُ وَالۡمَلٰٓٮِٕكَةُ صَفًّا ۙ لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُوۡنَ اِلَّا مَنۡ اَذِنَ لَهُ الرَّحۡمٰنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابًا ؕ ٣٨
78:38
The Day the Spirit [Gabriel] and the angels will stand in rows, they will not speak except for one whom the Most Merciful permits, and he will say what is correct.
ذٰلِكَ الۡيَوۡمُ الۡحَقُّ ۚ فَمَنۡ شَآءَ اتَّخَذَ اِلٰى رَبِّهٖ مَاٰبًا ؕ ٣٩
78:39
That is the Day of Reality; so whoever wills may take to his Lord a way of return.
اِنَّاۤ اَنۡذَرۡنٰكُمۡ عَذَابًا قَرِيۡبًا ۙ يَّوۡمَ يَنۡظُرُ الۡمَرۡءُ مَا قَدَّمَتۡ يَدَاهُ وَيَقُوۡلُ الۡكٰفِرُ يٰلَيۡتَنِىۡ كُنۡتُ تُرٰبًا ٪ ٤٠
78:40
Indeed, We have warned you of a near punishment on the Day when a man will look at what his hands have put forth and the disbeliever will say, "Oh, I wish that I were dust!"
وَالنّٰزِعٰتِ غَرۡقًا ۙ ١
79:1
By those [angels] who extract with violence,
وَّالنّٰشِطٰتِ نَشۡطًا ۙ ٢
79:2
And those [angels] who draw out gently,
وَّالسّٰبِحٰتِ سَبۡحًا ۙ ٣
79:3
And those [angels] who glide [as if] swimming,
فَالسّٰبِقٰتِ سَبۡقًا ۙ ٤
79:4
And those [angels] who race each other in a race
فَالۡمُدَبِّرٰتِ اَمۡرًا ؕ ٥
79:5
And those [angels] who arrange [each] matter,
يَوۡمَ تَرۡجُفُ الرَّاجِفَةُ ۙ ٦
79:6
The Day the first blast [of the Horn] shakes [the universe],
تَتۡبَعُهَا الرَّادِفَةُ ؕ ٧
79:7
Followed by the subsequent [blast].
قُلُوۡبٌ يَّوۡمَئِذٍ وَّاجِفَةٌ ۙ ٨
79:8
[Some] hearts, that Day, will tremble,
اَبۡصَارُهَا خَاشِعَةٌ ۙ ٩
79:9
Their sight humbled.
يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ ءَاِنَّا لَمَرۡدُوۡدُوۡنَ فِى الۡحَافِرَةِ ؕ ١٠
79:10
They are saying, "Are we indeed to be returned to [our] former state [of life]?
اَءِذَا كُنَّا عِظَامًا نَّخِرَةً ؕ ١١
79:11
Even if we should be decayed bones?"
قَالُوۡا تِلۡكَ اِذًا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٌ ؕ ١٢
79:12
They say, "That, then, would be a losing return."
فَاِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجۡرَةٌ وَّاحِدَةٌ ۙ ١٣
79:13
But indeed, it will be only a single [shout of] rebuke,
فَاِذَا هُمۡ بِالسَّاهِرَةِ ؕ ١٤
79:14
And suddenly they will be on the surface [of the earth].
هَلۡ اَتٰٮكَ حَدِيۡثُ مُوۡسٰى ؕ ١٥
79:15
Has there reached you the story of Moses?
اِذۡ نَادٰٮهُ رَبُّهٗ بِالۡوَادِ الۡمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى ۙ ١٦
79:16
When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Ṭuwā,
اذۡهَبۡ اِلٰى فِرۡعَوۡنَ اِنَّهٗ طَغٰى ۙ ١٧
79:17
"Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed.
فَقُلۡ هَلۡ لَّكَ اِلٰٓى اَنۡ تَزَكّٰى ۙ ١٨
79:18
And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself
وَاَهۡدِيَكَ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ فَتَخۡشٰى ؕ ١٩
79:19
And that I guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?' "
فَاَرٰٮهُ الۡاٰيَةَ الۡكُبۡرٰى ۙ ٢٠
79:20
And [Moses] showed him the greatest sign,
فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصٰى ۚ ٢١
79:21
But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed.
ثُمَّ اَدۡبَرَ يَسۡعٰى ۙ ٢٢
79:22
Then he turned his back, striving [against Moses].
فَحَشَرَ فَنَادٰى ۙ ٢٣
79:23
And he gathered [his people] and called out
فَقَالَ اَنَا رَبُّكُمُ الۡاَعۡلٰى ٢٤
79:24
And said, "I am your most exalted lord."
فَاَخَذَهُ اللّٰهُ نَكَالَ الۡاٰخِرَةِ وَالۡاُوۡلٰى ؕ ٢٥
79:25
So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [of his transgressions].
اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَعِبۡرَةً لِّمَنۡ يَّخۡشٰى ؕ ٢٦
79:26
Indeed in that is a lesson for whoever would fear [Allah].
ءَاَنۡتُمۡ اَشَدُّ خَلۡقًا اَمِ السَّمَآءُ ۚ بَنٰٮهَا ؕ ٢٧
79:27
Are you a more difficult creation or is the heaven? Allah constructed it.
رَفَعَ سَمۡكَهَا فَسَوّٰٮهَا ۙ ٢٨
79:28
He raised its canopy and proportioned it.
وَاَغۡطَشَ لَيۡلَهَا وَاَخۡرَجَ ضُحٰٮهَا ؕ ٢٩
79:29
And He darkened its night and extracted its brightness.
وَالۡاَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ ذٰلِكَ دَحٰٮهَا ؕ ٣٠
79:30
And after that He spread the earth.
اَخۡرَجَ مِنۡهَا مَآءَهَا وَمَرۡعٰٮهَا ؕ ٣١
79:31
He extracted from it its water and its pasture.
وَالۡجِبَالَ اَرۡسٰٮهَا ۙ ٣٢
79:32
And the mountains He set firmly
مَتَاعًا لَّكُمۡ وَلِاَنۡعَامِكُمۡ ؕ ٣٣
79:33
[As] provision for you and your grazing livestock.
فَاِذَا جَآءَتِ الطَّآمَّةُ الۡكُبۡرٰى ۙ ٣٤
79:34
But when there comes the greatest overwhelming calamity -
يَوۡمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ الۡاِنۡسَانُ مَا سَعٰى ۙ ٣٥
79:35
The Day when man will remember that for which he strove,
وَبُرِّزَتِ الۡجَحِيۡمُ لِمَنۡ يَّرٰى ؕ ٣٦
79:36
And Hellfire will be exhibited for [all] to see -
فَاَمَّا مَنۡ طَغٰى ۙ ٣٧
79:37
So as for he who transgressed
وَاٰثَرَ الۡحَيٰوةَ الدُّنۡيَا ۙ ٣٨
79:38
And preferred the life of the world,
فَاِنَّ الۡجَحِيۡمَ هِىَ الۡمَاۡوٰى ؕ ٣٩
79:39
Then indeed, Hellfire will be [his] refuge.
وَاَمَّا مَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهٖ وَنَهَى النَّفۡسَ عَنِ الۡهَوٰى ۙ ٤٠
79:40
But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination,
فَاِنَّ الۡجَنَّةَ هِىَ الۡمَاۡوٰى ؕ ٤١
79:41
Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge.
يَسۡـَٔلُوۡنَكَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ اَيَّانَ مُرۡسٰٮهَا ؕ ٤٢
79:42
They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour - when is its arrival?
فِيۡمَ اَنۡتَ مِنۡ ذِكۡرٰٮهَا ؕ ٤٣
79:43
In what [position] are you to mention it?
اِلٰى رَبِّكَ مُنۡتَهٰٮهَا ؕ ٤٤
79:44
To your Lord is its final determination.
اِنَّمَاۤ اَنۡتَ مُنۡذِرُ مَنۡ يَّخۡشٰٮهَا ؕ ٤٥
79:45
You are only a warner for those who fear it.
كَاَنَّهُمۡ يَوۡمَ يَرَوۡنَهَا لَمۡ يَلۡبَثُوۡۤا اِلَّا عَشِيَّةً اَوۡ ضُحٰٮهَا ٪ ٤٦
79:46
It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof.
عَبَسَ وَتَوَلّٰى ۙ ١
80:1
He frowned and turned away
اَنۡ جَآءَهُ الۡاَعۡمٰى ؕ ٢
80:2
Because there came to him the blind man,
وَمَا يُدۡرِيۡكَ لَعَلَّهٗ يَزَّكّٰى ۙ ٣
80:3
But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified
اَوۡ يَذَّكَّرُ فَتَنۡفَعَهُ الذِّكۡرٰى ؕ ٤
80:4
Or be reminded and the reminder would benefit him?
اَمَّا مَنِ اسۡتَغۡنٰى ۙ ٥
80:5
As for he who considers himself self-sufficient,
فَاَنۡتَ لَهٗ تَصَدّٰى ؕ ٦
80:6
To him you give attention.
وَمَا عَلَيۡكَ اَلَّا يَزَّكّٰى ؕ ٧
80:7
And you are not to be blamed if he would not be purified.
وَاَمَّا مَنۡ جَآءَكَ يَسۡعٰى ۙ ٨
80:8
But as for him who came to you striving [for knowledge]
وَهُوَ يَخۡشٰى ۙ ٩
80:9
While he fears [Allah],
فَاَنۡتَ عَنۡهُ تَلَهّٰى ؕ ١٠
80:10
From him you were diverted.
كَلَّاۤ اِنَّهَا تَذۡكِرَةٌ ۚ ١١
80:11
No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder;
فَمَنۡ شَآءَ ذَكَرَهٗ ؕ ١٢
80:12
So whoever wills may remember it.
فِىۡ صُحُفٍ مُّكَرَّمَةٍ ۙ ١٣
80:13
[It is recorded] in honored scrolls,
مَّرۡفُوۡعَةٍ مُّطَهَّرَةٍ ۙ ١٤
80:14
Exalted, purified,
بِاَيۡدِىۡ سَفَرَةٍ ۙ ١٥
80:15
By the hands of [noble] scribes [angels],
كِرَامٍ بَرَرَةٍ ؕ ١٦
80:16
Honorable and obedient.
قُتِلَ الۡاِنۡسَانُ مَاۤ اَكۡفَرَهُ ؕ ١٧
80:17
Destroyed is man; how ungrateful he is!
مِنۡ اَىِّ شَىۡءٍ خَلَقَهُ ؕ ١٨
80:18
From what substance did He create him?
مِنۡ نُّطۡفَةٍ ؕ خَلَقَهٗ فَقَدَّرَهٗ ؕ ١٩
80:19
From a sperm-drop He created him and determined his [aspects].
ثُمَّ السَّبِيۡلَ يَسَّرَهٗ ۙ ٢٠
80:20
Then He eased the way for him;
ثُمَّ اَمَاتَهٗ فَاَقۡبَرَهٗ ۙ ٢١
80:21
Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him.
ثُمَّ اِذَا شَآءَ اَنۡشَرَهٗ ؕ ٢٢
80:22
Then when He wills, He will resurrect him.
كَلَّا لَمَّا يَقۡضِ مَاۤ اَمَرَهُ ؕ ٢٣
80:23
No! Man has not yet fulfilled what He commanded him.
فَلۡيَنۡظُرِ الۡاِنۡسَانُ اِلٰى طَعَامِهٖ ۙ ٢٤
80:24
So let man observe his food -
اَنَّا صَبَبۡنَا الۡمَآءَ صَبًّا ۙ ٢٥
80:25
How We poured down water in torrents,
ثُمَّ شَقَقۡنَا الۡاَرۡضَ شَقًّا ۙ ٢٦
80:26
Then split the earth with [dramatic] fissures,
فَاَنۡۢبَتۡنَا فِيۡهَا حَبًّا ۙ ٢٧
80:27
And caused to grow within it grain
وَّعِنَبًا وَّقَضۡبًا ۙ ٢٨
80:28
And grapes and clover
وَّزَيۡتُوۡنًا وَّنَخۡلًا ۙ ٢٩
80:29
And olive and palm trees
وَّحَدَآٮِٕقَ غُلۡبًا ۙ ٣٠
80:30
And gardens of dense shrubbery
وَّفَاكِهَةً وَّاَبًّا ۙ ٣١
80:31
And fruits and [all kinds of] grass -
مَّتَاعًا لَّكُمۡ وَلِاَنۡعَامِكُمۡ ؕ ٣٢
80:32
[As] provision for you and your grazing livestock.
فَاِذَا جَآءَتِ الصَّآخَّةُ ۙ ٣٣
80:33
But when there comes the deafening cry
يَوۡمَ يَفِرُّ الۡمَرۡءُ مِنۡ اَخِيۡهِ ۙ ٣٤
80:34
On the Day when a man will flee from his brother
وَاُمِّهٖ وَاَبِيۡهِ ۙ ٣٥
80:35
And his mother and his father
وَصَاحِبَتِهٖ وَبَنِيۡهِ ؕ ٣٦
80:36
And his wife and his children,
لِكُلِّ امۡرِیٴٍ مِّنۡهُمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٍ شَاۡنٌ يُّغۡنِيۡهِ ؕ ٣٧
80:37
For every man, that Day, will be a matter occupying him.
وُجُوۡهٌ يَّوۡمَئِذٍ مُّسۡفِرَةٌ ۙ ٣٨
80:38
[Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant,
ضَاحِكَةٌ مُّسۡتَبۡشِرَةٌ ؕ ٣٩
80:39
Laughing, rejoicing at good news.
وَوُجُوۡهٌ يَّوۡمَئِذٍ عَلَيۡهَا غَبَرَةٌ ۙ ٤٠
80:40
And [other] faces, that Day, will have upon them dust,
تَرۡهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ ؕ ٤١
80:41
Blackness will cover them.
اُولٰۤٮِٕكَ هُمُ الۡكَفَرَةُ الۡفَجَرَةُ ٪ ٤٢
80:42
Those are the disbelievers, the wicked ones.
اِذَا الشَّمۡسُ كُوِّرَتۡ ۙ ١
81:1
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness],
وَاِذَا النُّجُوۡمُ انۡكَدَرَتۡ ۙ ٢
81:2
And when the stars fall [out of orbit],
وَاِذَا الۡجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتۡ ۙ ٣
81:3
And when the mountains are moved away,
وَاِذَا الۡعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتۡ ۙ ٤
81:4
And when the pregnant camels are neglected,
وَاِذَا الۡوُحُوۡشُ حُشِرَتۡ ۙ ٥
81:5
And when the wild beasts are gathered [together],
وَاِذَا الۡبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتۡ ۙ ٦
81:6
And when the seas are filled with fire,
وَاِذَا النُّفُوۡسُ زُوِّجَتۡ ۙ ٧
81:7
And when the souls are paired [with their deeds],
وَاِذَا الۡمَوۡءٗدَةُ سُئِلَتۡ ۙ ٨
81:8
And when the girl buried alive is asked
بِاَىِّ ذَنۡۢبٍ قُتِلَتۡ ؕ ٩
81:9
For what sin she was killed,
وَاِذَا الصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتۡ ۙ ١٠
81:10
And when the scrolls [of deeds] are spread open,
وَاِذَا السَّمَآءُ كُشِطَتۡ ۙ ١١
81:11
And when the heaven is removed,
وَاِذَا الۡجَحِيۡمُ سُعِّرَتۡ ۙ ١٢
81:12
And when Hellfire is set ablaze,
وَاِذَا الۡجَنَّةُ اُزۡلِفَتۡ ؕ ١٣
81:13
And when Paradise is brought near,
عَلِمَتۡ نَفۡسٌ مَّاۤ اَحۡضَرَتۡ ؕ ١٤
81:14
A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it].
فَلَاۤ اُقۡسِمُ بِالۡخُنَّسِ ۙ ١٥
81:15
So I swear by the retreating stars -
الۡجَوَارِ الۡكُنَّسِ ۙ ١٦
81:16
Those that run [their courses] and disappear -
وَالَّيۡلِ اِذَا عَسۡعَسَ ۙ ١٧
81:17
And by the night as it draws to a close,
وَالصُّبۡحِ اِذَا تَنَفَّسَ ۙ ١٨
81:18
And by the morning as it breathes,
اِنَّهٗ لَقَوۡلُ رَسُوۡلٍ كَرِيۡمٍ ۙ ١٩
81:19
Indeed, [the Qur'an] is the word of a noble Messenger [Gabriel]
ذِىۡ قُوَّةٍ عِنۡدَ ذِى الۡعَرۡشِ مَكِيۡنٍ ۙ ٢٠
81:20
[Who is] possessed of power and has a rank with the Lord of the Throne,
مُّطَاعٍ ثَمَّ اَمِيۡنٍ ؕ ٢١
81:21
Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy.
وَمَا صَاحِبُكُمۡ بِمَجۡنُوۡنٍ ۚ ٢٢
81:22
And your companion [Muhammad] is not [at all] mad.
وَلَقَدۡ رَاٰهُ بِالۡاُفُقِ الۡمُبِيۡنِ ۚ ٢٣
81:23
And he had already seen him [Gabriel] on the clear horizon.
وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى الۡغَيۡبِ بِظَنِيۡنٍ ۚ ٢٤
81:24
And [Muhammad] is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen.
وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوۡلِ شَيۡطٰنٍ رَّجِيۡمٍ ۚ ٢٥
81:25
And [the Qur'an] is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens].
فَاَيۡنَ تَذۡهَبُوۡنَ ؕ ٢٦
81:26
So where are you going?
اِنۡ هُوَ اِلَّا ذِكۡرٌ لِّلۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ ۙ ٢٧
81:27
It is not except a reminder to the worlds
لِمَنۡ شَآءَ مِنۡكُمۡ اَنۡ يَّسۡتَقِيۡمَ ؕ ٢٨
81:28
For whoever wills among you to take a right course.
وَمَا تَشَآءُوۡنَ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ يَّشَآءَ اللّٰهُ رَبُّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ ٪ ٢٩
81:29
And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds.
اِذَا السَّمَآءُ انۡفَطَرَتۡ ۙ ١
82:1
When the heaven is cleft asunder,
وَاِذَا الۡكَوَاكِبُ انۡتَثَرَتۡ ۙ ٢
82:2
And when the stars have scattered,
وَاِذَا الۡبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتۡ ۙ ٣
82:3
And when the seas are made to burst forth,
وَاِذَا الۡقُبُوۡرُ بُعۡثِرَتۡ ۙ ٤
82:4
And when the contents of the graves are scattered,
عَلِمَتۡ نَفۡسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتۡ وَاَخَّرَتۡ ؕ ٥
82:5
A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and [what it has] kept back.
يٰۤاَيُّهَا الۡاِنۡسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الۡكَرِيۡمِ ۙ ٦
82:6
O man, what has deceived you concerning your generous Lord,
الَّذِىۡ خَلَقَكَ فَسَوّٰٮكَ فَعَدَلَكَ ۙ ٧
82:7
Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you?
فِىۡۤ اَىِّ صُوۡرَةٍ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ ؕ ٨
82:8
In whatever form He willed, He put you together.
كَلَّا بَلۡ تُكَذِّبُوۡنَ بِالدِّيۡنِ ۙ ٩
82:9
Nay! But you deny the Day of Recompense.
وَاِنَّ عَلَيۡكُمۡ لَحٰفِظِيۡنَ ۙ ١٠
82:10
And indeed, [appointed] over you are guardians,
كِرَامًا كَاتِبِيۡنَ ۙ ١١
82:11
Noble recorders,
يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ مَا تَفۡعَلُوۡنَ ؕ ١٢
82:12
Who know [all] that you do.
اِنَّ الۡاَبۡرَارَ لَفِىۡ نَعِيۡمٍ ۙ ١٣
82:13
Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure,
وَّاِنَّ الۡفُجَّارَ لَفِىۡ جَحِيۡمٍ ۚ ١٤
82:14
And indeed, the wicked will be in a blazing fire.
يَصۡلَوۡنَهَا يَوۡمَ الدِّيۡنِ ؕ ١٥
82:15
They will [enter and] burn therein on the Day of Recompense,
وَمَا هُمۡ عَنۡهَا بِغَآٮِٕبِيۡنَ ؕ ١٦
82:16
And never are they absent therefrom.
وَمَاۤ اَدۡرٰٮكَ مَا يَوۡمُ الدِّيۡنِ ؕ ١٧
82:17
And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?
ثُمَّ مَاۤ اَدۡرٰٮكَ مَا يَوۡمُ الدِّيۡنِ ؕ ١٨
82:18
Again, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense?
يَوۡمَ لَا تَمۡلِكُ نَفۡسٌ لِّنَفۡسٍ شَيۡـًٔا ؕ وَالۡاَمۡرُ يَوۡمَئِذٍ لِّلّٰهِ ٪ ١٩
82:19
It is the Day when no soul will possess for [another] soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah.
وَيۡلٌ لِّلۡمُطَفِّفِيۡنَ ۙ ١
83:1
Woe to the defrauders,
الَّذِيۡنَ اِذَا اكۡتَالُوۡا عَلَى النَّاسِ يَسۡتَوۡفُوۡنَ ۙ ٢
83:2
Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full.
وَاِذَا كَالُوۡهُمۡ اَوۡ وَّزَنُوۡهُمۡ يُخۡسِرُوۡنَ ؕ ٣
83:3
But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss.
اَلَا يَظُنُّ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ اَنَّهُمۡ مَّبۡعُوۡثُوۡنَ ۙ ٤
83:4
Do those [defrauders] not think that they will be resurrected
لِيَوۡمٍ عَظِيۡمٍ ۙ ٥
83:5
For a tremendous Day -
يَوۡمَ يَقُوۡمُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ ؕ ٦
83:6
The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds?
كَلَّاۤ اِنَّ كِتٰبَ الۡفُجَّارِ لَفِىۡ سِجِّيۡنٍ ؕ ٧
83:7
No! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in Sijjīn.
وَمَاۤ اَدۡرٰٮكَ مَا سِجِّيۡنٌ ؕ ٨
83:8
And what can make you know what Sijjīn is?
كِتٰبٌ مَّرۡقُوۡمٌ ؕ ٩
83:9
It is a register [containing the deeds], inscribed.
وَيۡلٌ يَوۡمَئِذٍ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِيۡنَ ۙ ١٠
83:10
Woe, that Day, to the deniers -
الَّذِيۡنَ يُكَذِّبُوۡنَ بِيَوۡمِ الدِّيۡنِ ؕ ١١
83:11
Those who deny the Day of Recompense.
وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهٖۤ اِلَّا كُلُّ مُعۡتَدٍ اَثِيۡمٍ ۙ ١٢
83:12
And none denies it except every sinful transgressor.
اِذَا تُتۡلٰى عَلَيۡهِ اٰيٰتُنَا قَالَ اَسَاطِيۡرُ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ ؕ ١٣
83:13
When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former people."
كَلَّا بَلۡ رَانَ عَلٰى قُلُوۡبِهِمۡ مَّا كَانُوۡا يَكۡسِبُوۡنَ ؕ ١٤
83:14
No! But that which they used to earn has covered their hearts.
كَلَّاۤ اِنَّهُمۡ عَنۡ رَّبِّهِمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٍ لَّمَحۡجُوۡبُوۡنَ ۙ ١٥
83:15
No! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned.
ثُمَّ اِنَّهُمۡ لَصَالُو الۡجَحِيۡمِ ۙ ١٦
83:16
Then indeed, they will enter the Hellfire.
ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هٰذَا الَّذِىۡ كُنۡتُمۡ بِهٖ تُكَذِّبُوۡنَ ؕ ١٧
83:17
Then it will be said [to them], "This is that which you used to deny."
كَلَّاۤ اِنَّ كِتٰبَ الۡاَبۡرَارِ لَفِىۡ عِلِّيِّيۡنَ ؕ ١٨
83:18
No! Indeed, the record of the righteous is in 'Illiyūn.
وَمَاۤ اَدۡرٰٮكَ مَا عِلِّيُّوۡنَ ؕ ١٩
83:19
And what can make you know what 'Illiyūn is?
كِتٰبٌ مَّرۡقُوۡمٌ ۙ ٢٠
83:20
It is a register [containing the deeds], inscribed,
يَّشۡهَدُهُ الۡمُقَرَّبُوۡنَ ؕ ٢١
83:21
Witnessed by those brought near [to Allah].
اِنَّ الۡاَبۡرَارَ لَفِىۡ نَعِيۡمٍ ۙ ٢٢
83:22
Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure
عَلَى الۡاَرَآٮِٕكِ يَنۡظُرُوۡنَ ۙ ٢٣
83:23
On adorned couches, looking on [at all things].
تَعۡرِفُ فِىۡ وُجُوۡهِهِمۡ نَضۡرَةَ النَّعِيۡمِ ۚ ٢٤
83:24
You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure.
يُسۡقَوۡنَ مِنۡ رَّحِيۡقٍ مَّخۡتُوۡمٍ ۙ ٢٥
83:25
They will be given to drink [pure] wine that is sealed,
خِتٰمُهٗ مِسۡكٌ ؕ وَفِىۡ ذٰلِكَ فَلۡيَتَنَافَسِ الۡمُتَنَافِسُوۡنَ ؕ ٢٦
83:26
The last of it is musk. And for that let [all] those strive who strive.
وَمِزَاجُهٗ مِنۡ تَسۡنِيۡمٍ ۙ ٢٧
83:27
And its mixture will be from Tasnīm -
عَيۡنًا يَّشۡرَبُ بِهَا الۡمُقَرَّبُوۡنَ ؕ ٢٨
83:28
A spring from which those nearest to Allah drink.
اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ اَجۡرَمُوۡا كَانُوۡا مِنَ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا يَضۡحَكُوۡنَ ۙ ٢٩
83:29
Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed.
وَاِذَا مَرُّوۡا بِهِمۡ يَتَغَامَزُوۡنَ ۙ ٣٠
83:30
And whenever they passed by them, they would exchange scornful glances.
وَاِذَا انۡقَلَبُوۡۤا اِلٰٓى اَهۡلِهِمُ انۡقَلَبُوۡا فَكِهِيۡنَ ۙ ٣١
83:31
And whenever they returned to their people, they would return jesting.
وَاِذَا رَاَوۡهُمۡ قَالُوۡۤا اِنَّ هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ لَضَآلُّوۡنَ ۙ ٣٢
83:32
And when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, these are [now] astray."
وَمَاۤ اُرۡسِلُوۡا عَلَيۡهِمۡ حٰفِظِيۡنَ ؕ ٣٣
83:33
But they [the believers] had not been sent over them as guardians.
فَالۡيَوۡمَ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا مِنَ الۡكُفَّارِ يَضۡحَكُوۡنَ ۙ ٣٤
83:34
So Today those who believed are laughing at the disbelievers,
عَلَى الۡاَرَآٮِٕكِ يَنۡظُرُوۡنَ ؕ ٣٥
83:35
On adorned couches, looking on [at the consequence of denial].
هَلۡ ثُوِّبَ الۡكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوۡا يَفۡعَلُوۡنَ ٪ ٣٦
83:36
Have the disbelievers been rewarded for what they used to do?
اِذَا السَّمَآءُ انۡشَقَّتۡ ۙ ١
84:1
When the heaven is split open
وَاَذِنَتۡ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتۡ ۙ ٢
84:2
And attends to its Lord and is obligated [to do so],
وَاِذَا الۡاَرۡضُ مُدَّتۡ ۙ ٣
84:3
And when the earth has been extended
وَاَلۡقَتۡ مَا فِيۡهَا وَتَخَلَّتۡ ۙ ٤
84:4
And disgorges what is within it and is empty
وَاَذِنَتۡ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتۡ ؕ ٥
84:5
And attends to its Lord and is obligated [to do so] - [then comes the Day of Judgment].
يٰۤاَيُّهَا الۡاِنۡسَانُ اِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ كَدۡحًا فَمُلٰقِيۡهِ ؕ ٦
84:6
O mankind, indeed you are laboring toward your Lord with [great] exertion and will meet it [i.e., the result of that effort].
فَاَمَّا مَنۡ اُوۡتِىَ كِتٰبَهٗ بِيَمِيۡنِهٖ ۙ ٧
84:7
Then as for he who is given his record in his right hand,
فَسَوۡفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا يَّسِيۡرًا ۙ ٨
84:8
He will be judged with an easy accounting
وَّيَنۡقَلِبُ اِلٰٓى اَهۡلِهٖ مَسۡرُوۡرًا ؕ ٩
84:9
And return to his people in [from his Lord] pleasure.
وَاَمَّا مَنۡ اُوۡتِىَ كِتٰبَهٗ وَرَآءَ ظَهۡرِهٖ ۙ ١٠
84:10
But as for he who is given his record behind his back,
فَسَوۡفَ يَدۡعُوۡا ثُبُوۡرًا ۙ ١١
84:11
He will cry out for destruction
وَّيَصۡلٰى سَعِيۡرًا ؕ ١٢
84:12
And enter a blazing Fire.
اِنَّهٗ كَانَ فِىۡۤ اَهۡلِهٖ مَسۡرُوۡرًا ؕ ١٣
84:13
Indeed, he remained among his people in pleasure.
اِنَّهٗ ظَنَّ اَنۡ لَّنۡ يَّحُوۡرَ ۙ ١٤
84:14
Indeed, he thought that he would never return [to Allah].
بَلٰٓى اِنَّ رَبَّهٗ كَانَ بِهٖ بَصِيۡرًا ؕ ١٥
84:15
Yes! Indeed, his Lord was ever of him, Seeing.
فَلَاۤ اُقۡسِمُ بِالشَّفَقِ ۙ ١٦
84:16
So I swear by the twilight glow,
وَالَّيۡلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ ۙ ١٧
84:17
And [by] the night and whatever it envelops,
وَالۡقَمَرِ اِذَا اتَّسَقَ ۙ ١٨
84:18
And [by] the moon when it becomes full
لَتَرۡكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَنۡ طَبَقٍ ؕ ١٩
84:19
You will surely experience state after state.
فَمَا لَهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ ۙ ٢٠
84:20
So what is [the matter] with them that they do not believe,
وَاِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيۡهِمُ الۡقُرۡاٰنُ لَا يَسۡجُدُوۡنَ ؕ ٢١
84:21
And when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate [to Allah]?
بَلِ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا يُكَذِّبُوۡنَ ۙ ٢٢
84:22
Rather, those who disbelieve deny.
وَاللّٰهُ اَعۡلَمُ بِمَا يُوۡعُوۡنَ ۙ ٢٣
84:23
And Allah is most knowing of what they keep within themselves.
فَبَشِّرۡهُمۡ بِعَذَابٍ اَلِيۡمٍ ۙ ٢٤
84:24
So give them tidings of a painful punishment,
اِلَّا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَهُمۡ اَجۡرٌ غَيۡرُ مَمۡنُوۡنٍ ٪ ٢٥
84:25
Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds. For them is a reward uninterrupted.
وَالسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ الۡبُرُوۡجِ ۙ ١
85:1
By the heaven containing the constellations
وَالۡيَوۡمِ الۡمَوۡعُوۡدِ ۙ ٢
85:2
And [by] the promised Day
وَشَاهِدٍ وَّمَشۡهُوۡدٍ ؕ ٣
85:3
And [by] the witness and what is witnessed,
قُتِلَ اَصۡحٰبُ الۡاُخۡدُوۡدِ ۙ ٤
85:4
Cursed were the companions of the trench
النَّارِ ذَاتِ الۡوَقُوۡدِ ۙ ٥
85:5
[Containing] the fire, full of fuel,
اِذۡ هُمۡ عَلَيۡهَا قُعُوۡدٌ ۙ ٦
85:6
When they were sitting near it,
وَّهُمۡ عَلٰى مَا يَفۡعَلُوۡنَ بِالۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ شُهُوۡدٌ ؕ ٧
85:7
And they, to what they were doing to the believers, were witnesses.
وَمَا نَقَمُوۡا مِنۡهُمۡ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ يُّؤۡمِنُوۡا بِاللّٰهِ الۡعَزِيۡزِ الۡحَمِيۡدِ ۙ ٨
85:8
And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy,
الَّذِىۡ لَهٗ مُلۡكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ ؕ وَاللّٰهُ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ شَهِيۡدٌ ؕ ٩
85:9
To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness.
اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ فَتَنُوۡا الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ وَ الۡمُؤۡمِنٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمۡ يَتُوۡبُوۡا فَلَهُمۡ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابُ الۡحَرِيۡقِ ؕ ١٠
85:10
Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire.
اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَهُمۡ جَنّٰتٌ تَجۡرِىۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِهَا الۡاَنۡهٰرُ ؕ ذٰلِكَ الۡفَوۡزُ الۡكَبِيۡرُ ؕ ١١
85:11
Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment.
اِنَّ بَطۡشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيۡدٌ ؕ ١٢
85:12
Indeed, the seizure [punishment] of your Lord is severe.
اِنَّهٗ هُوَ يُبۡدِئُ وَيُعِيۡدُ ۚ ١٣
85:13
Indeed, it is He who originates and repeats [creation],
وَهُوَ الۡغَفُوۡرُ الۡوَدُوۡدُ ۙ ١٤
85:14
And He is the Forgiving, the Loving,
ذُو الۡعَرۡشِ الۡمَجِيۡدُ ۙ ١٥
85:15
Owner of the Throne, the Glorious,
فَعَّالٌ لِّمَا يُرِيۡدُ ؕ ١٦
85:16
Doer of what He intends.
هَلۡ اَتٰٮكَ حَدِيۡثُ الۡجُنُوۡدِ ۙ ١٧
85:17
Has there reached you the story of the armies -
فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَثَمُوۡدَ ؕ ١٨
85:18
[Those of] Pharaoh and Thamūd?
بَلِ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا فِىۡ تَكۡذِيۡبٍ ۙ ١٩
85:19
But those who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial,
وَاللّٰهُ مِنۡ وَّرَآٮِٕهِمۡ مُّحِيۡطٌ ۢ ؕ ٢٠
85:20
While Allah encompasses them from behind.
بَلۡ هُوَ قُرۡاٰنٌ مَّجِيۡدٌ ۙ ٢١
85:21
Rather, it is a glorious Qur'an
فِىۡ لَوۡحٍ مَّحۡفُوۡظٍ ٪ ٢٢
85:22
In a Preserved Tablet.
وَالسَّمَآءِ وَالطَّارِقِ ۙ ١
86:1
By the heaven and the nightcomer -
وَمَاۤ اَدۡرٰٮكَ مَا الطَّارِقُ ۙ ٢
86:2
And what can make you know what is the nightcomer?
النَّجۡمُ الثَّاقِبُ ۙ ٣
86:3
It is the piercing star -
اِنۡ كُلُّ نَفۡسٍ لَّمَّا عَلَيۡهَا حَافِظٌ ؕ ٤
86:4
There is no soul except that it has over it a guardian [angel].
فَلۡيَنۡظُرِ الۡاِنۡسَانُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ ؕ ٥
86:5
So let man observe from what he was created.
خُلِقَ مِنۡ مَآءٍ دَافِقٍ ۙ ٦
86:6
He was created from a fluid, ejected,
يَّخۡرُجُ مِنۡۢ بَيۡنِ الصُّلۡبِ وَالتَّرَآٮِٕبِ ؕ ٧
86:7
Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs.
اِنَّهٗ عَلٰى رَجۡعِهٖ لَقَادِرٌ ؕ ٨
86:8
Indeed, He, to return him [to life], is Able.
يَوۡمَ تُبۡلَى السَّرَآٮِٕرُ ۙ ٩
86:9
The Day when secrets will be exposed,
فَمَا لَهٗ مِنۡ قُوَّةٍ وَّلَا نَاصِرٍ ؕ ١٠
86:10
Then will man have no power or any helper.
وَالسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ الرَّجۡعِ ۙ ١١
86:11
By the heaven which returns [rain],
وَالۡاَرۡضِ ذَاتِ الصَّدۡعِ ۙ ١٢
86:12
And [by] the earth which splits [with growth],
اِنَّهٗ لَقَوۡلٌ فَصۡلٌ ۙ ١٣
86:13
Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement,
وَّمَا هُوَ بِالۡهَزۡلِ ؕ ١٤
86:14
And it is not amusement.
اِنَّهُمۡ يَكِيۡدُوۡنَ كَيۡدًا ۙ ١٥
86:15
Indeed, they are planning a plan,
وَاَكِيۡدُ كَيۡدًا ۚ ١٦
86:16
But I am planning a plan.
فَمَهِّلِ الۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ اَمۡهِلۡهُمۡ رُوَيۡدًا ٪ ١٧
86:17
So allow time for the disbelievers. Give them respite for a while.
سَبِّحِ اسۡمَ رَبِّكَ الۡاَعۡلَى ۙ ١
87:1
Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High,
الَّذِىۡ خَلَقَ فَسَوّٰى ۙ ٢
87:2
Who created and proportioned,
وَالَّذِىۡ قَدَّرَ فَهَدٰى ۙ ٣
87:3
And Who determined [everything] and [then] guided,
وَالَّذِىۡۤ اَخۡرَجَ الۡمَرۡعٰى ۙ ٤
87:4
And Who brings out the pasturage,
فَجَعَلَهٗ غُثَآءً اَحۡوٰى ؕ ٥
87:5
And then makes it dry, stained dark.
سَنُقۡرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنۡسٰٓى ۙ ٦
87:6
We will make you recite, and you will not forget,
اِلَّا مَا شَآءَ اللّٰهُ ؕ اِنَّهٗ يَعۡلَمُ الۡجَهۡرَ وَمَا يَخۡفٰى ؕ ٧
87:7
Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden.
وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلۡيُسۡرٰى ؕ ٨
87:8
And We will ease you toward ease.
فَذَكِّرۡ اِنۡ نَّفَعَتِ الذِّكۡرٰى ؕ ٩
87:9
So remind, if the reminder should benefit;
سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَنۡ يَّخۡشٰى ۙ ١٠
87:10
He who fears [Allah] will be reminded,
وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا الۡاَشۡقَى ۙ ١١
87:11
But the wretched one will avoid it -
الَّذِىۡ يَصۡلَى النَّارَ الۡكُبۡرٰى ۙ ١٢
87:12
He who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire,
ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوۡتُ فِيۡهَا وَلَا يَحۡيٰى ؕ ١٣
87:13
Neither dying therein nor living.
قَدۡ اَفۡلَحَ مَنۡ تَزَكّٰى ۙ ١٤
87:14
He has succeeded who purifies himself
وَذَكَرَ اسۡمَ رَبِّهٖ فَصَلّٰى ؕ ١٥
87:15
And mentions the name of his Lord and prays.
بَلۡ تُؤۡثِرُوۡنَ الۡحَيٰوةَ الدُّنۡيَا ۙ ١٦
87:16
But you prefer the worldly life,
وَالۡاٰخِرَةُ خَيۡرٌ وَّاَبۡقٰى ؕ ١٧
87:17
While the Hereafter is better and more enduring.
اِنَّ هٰذَا لَفِى الصُّحُفِ الۡاُوۡلٰى ۙ ١٨
87:18
Indeed, this is in the former scriptures,
صُحُفِ اِبۡرٰهِيۡمَ وَمُوۡسٰى ٪ ١٩
87:19
The scriptures of Abraham and Moses.
هَلۡ اَتٰٮكَ حَدِيۡثُ الۡغَاشِيَةِ ؕ ١
88:1
Has there reached you the narration of the overwhelming [event]?
وُجُوۡهٌ يَّوۡمَٮِٕذٍ خَاشِعَةٌ ۙ ٢
88:2
[Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled,
عَامِلَةٌ نَّاصِبَةٌ ۙ ٣
88:3
Working [hard], fatigued.
تَصۡلٰى نَارًا حَامِيَةً ۙ ٤
88:4
They will enter a burning Fire,
تُسۡقٰى مِنۡ عَيۡنٍ اٰنِيَةٍ ؕ ٥
88:5
Being given drink from a boiling spring.
لَيۡسَ لَهُمۡ طَعَامٌ اِلَّا مِنۡ ضَرِيۡعٍ ۙ ٦
88:6
For them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant
لَّا يُسۡمِنُ وَلَا يُغۡنِىۡ مِنۡ جُوۡعٍ ؕ ٧
88:7
Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger.
وُجُوۡهٌ يَّوۡمَٮِٕذٍ نَّاعِمَةٌ ۙ ٨
88:8
[Other] faces, that Day, will be joyful,
لِّسَعۡيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌ ۙ ٩
88:9
Pleased with their effort,
فِىۡ جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ ۙ ١٠
88:10
In an elevated Garden,
لَّا تَسۡمَعُ فِيۡهَا لَاغِيَةً ؕ ١١
88:11
Wherein they will not hear any ill speech.
فِيۡهَا عَيۡنٌ جَارِيَةٌ ۙ ١٢
88:12
Within it is a flowing spring.
فِيۡهَا سُرُرٌ مَّرۡفُوۡعَةٌ ۙ ١٣
88:13
Within it are couches raised high
وَّ اَقۡوَابٌ مَّوۡضُوۡعَةٌ ۙ ١٤
88:14
And cups put in place
وَّنَمَارِقُ مَصۡفُوۡفَةٌ ۙ ١٥
88:15
And cushions lined up
وَّزَرَابِىُّ مَبۡثُوۡثَةٌ ؕ ١٦
88:16
And carpets spread around.
اَفَلَا يَنۡظُرُوۡنَ اِلَى الۡاِبِلِ كَيۡفَ خُلِقَتۡ ۙ ١٧
88:17
Do they not look at the camels - how they are created?
وَاِلَى السَّمَآءِ كَيۡفَ رُفِعَتۡ ۙ ١٨
88:18
And at the heaven - how it is raised?
وَاِلَى الۡجِبَالِ كَيۡفَ نُصِبَتۡ ۙ ١٩
88:19
And at the mountains - how they are erected?
وَاِلَى الۡاَرۡضِ كَيۡفَ سُطِحَتۡ ؕ ٢٠
88:20
And at the earth - how it is spread out?
فَذَكِّرۡ ؕ اِنَّمَاۤ اَنۡتَ مُذَكِّرٌ ۙ ٢١
88:21
So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder.
لَّسۡتَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ بِمُصَيۡطِرٍ ۙ ٢٢
88:22
You are not over them a controller.
اِلَّا مَنۡ تَوَلّٰى وَكَفَرَ ۙ ٢٣
88:23
However, he who turns away and disbelieves,
فَيُعَذِّبُهُ اللّٰهُ الۡعَذَابَ الۡاَكۡبَرَ ؕ ٢٤
88:24
Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment.
اِنَّ اِلَيۡنَاۤ اِيَابَهُمۡ ۙ ٢٥
88:25
Indeed, to Us is their return.
ثُمَّ اِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا حِسَابَهُمۡ ٪ ٢٦
88:26
Then indeed, upon Us is their account.
وَالۡفَجۡرِ ۙ ١
89:1
By the dawn,
وَلَيَالٍ عَشۡرٍ ۙ ٢
89:2
And [by] ten nights,
وَّالشَّفۡعِ وَالۡوَتۡرِ ۙ ٣
89:3
And [by] the even and the odd [number, or all things which are even and odd],
وَالَّيۡلِ اِذَا يَسۡرِ ؕ ٤
89:4
And [by] the night when it passes,
هَلۡ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ قَسَمٌ لِّذِىۡ حِجۡرٍ ؕ ٥
89:5
Is there not in [all] that an oath [sufficient] for a person having sense?
اَلَمۡ تَرَ كَيۡفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ ۙ ٦
89:6
Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with 'Aad -
اِرَمَ ذَاتِ الۡعِمَادِ ۙ ٧
89:7
[With] Iram - who had lofty pillars,
الَّتِىۡ لَمۡ يُخۡلَقۡ مِثۡلُهَا فِى الۡبِلَادِ ۙ ٨
89:8
The likes of whom had never been created in the lands?
وَثَمُوۡدَ الَّذِيۡنَ جَابُوا الصَّخۡرَ بِالۡوَادِ ۙ ٩
89:9
And [with] Thamūd, who carved out the rocks in the valley?
وَفِرۡعَوۡنَ ذِى الۡاَوۡتَادِ ؕ ١٠
89:10
And [with] Pharaoh, owner of the stakes?
الَّذِيۡنَ طَغَوۡا فِى الۡبِلَادِ ۙ ١١
89:11
[All of] whom oppressed within the lands
فَاَكۡثَرُوۡا فِيۡهَا الۡفَسَادَ ۙ ١٢
89:12
And increased therein the corruption.
فَصَبَّ عَلَيۡهِمۡ رَبُّكَ سَوۡطَ عَذَابٍ ؕ ١٣
89:13
So your Lord poured upon them a scourge of [His] punishment.
اِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِالۡمِرۡصَادِ ؕ ١٤
89:14
Indeed, your Lord is in observation.
فَاَمَّا الۡاِنۡسَانُ اِذَا مَا ابۡتَلٰٮهُ رَبُّهٗ فَاَكۡرَمَهٗ وَنَعَّمَهٗ ۙ فَيَقُوۡلُ رَبِّىۡۤ اَكۡرَمَنِ ؕ ١٥
89:15
And as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and favors him, he says, "My Lord has honored me."
وَاَمَّاۤ اِذَا مَا ابۡتَلٰٮهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيۡهِ رِزۡقَهٗ ۙ فَيَقُوۡلُ رَبِّىۡۤ اَهَانَنِ ۚ ١٦
89:16
But when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me."
كَلَّا بَلۡ لَّا تُكۡرِمُوۡنَ الۡيَتِيۡمَ ۙ ١٧
89:17
No! But you do not honor the orphan
وَلَا تَحٰٓضُّوۡنَ عَلٰى طَعَامِ الۡمِسۡكِيۡنِ ۙ ١٨
89:18
And you do not encourage one another to feed the poor.
وَّتَاۡكُلُوۡنَ التُّرَاثَ اَكۡلًا لَّمًّا ۙ ١٩
89:19
And you consume inheritance, devouring [it] altogether,
وَّتُحِبُّوۡنَ الۡمَالَ حُبًّا جَمًّا ؕ ٢٠
89:20
And you love wealth with immense love.
كَلَّاۤ اِذَا دُكَّتِ الۡاَرۡضُ دَكًّا دَكًّا ۙ ٢١
89:21
No! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed -
وَّجَآءَ رَبُّكَ وَالۡمَلَكُ صَفًّا صَفًّا ۚ ٢٢
89:22
And your Lord has come and the angels, rank upon rank,
وَجِاىٓءَ يَوۡمَئِذٍ بِجَهَنَّمَ ۙ يَوۡمَئِذٍ يَتَذَكَّرُ الۡاِنۡسَانُ وَاَنّٰى لَهُ الذِّكۡرٰى ؕ ٢٣
89:23
And brought [forth] that Day is Hell - that Day will man remember, but how will the remembrance benefit him?
يَقُوۡلُ يٰلَيۡتَنِىۡ قَدَّمۡتُ لِحَيَاتِى ۚ ٢٤
89:24
He will say, "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life."
فَيَوۡمَئِذٍ لَّا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهٗۤ اَحَدٌ ۙ ٢٥
89:25
So on that Day, none will punish [as severely] as His punishment,
وَلَا يُوۡثِقُ وَثَاقَهٗۤ اَحَدٌ ؕ ٢٦
89:26
And none will shackle [as tightly] as His shackling.
يٰۤاَيَّتُهَا النَّفۡسُ الۡمُطۡمَٮِٕنَّةُ ۙ ٢٧
89:27
[To the righteous it will be said], "O contented soul,
ارۡجِعِىۡۤ اِلٰى رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةً مَّرۡضِيَّةً ۚ ٢٨
89:28
Return to your Lord, well pleased and pleasing [to Him],
فَادۡخُلِىۡ فِىۡ عِبٰدِى ۙ ٢٩
89:29
And enter among My [righteous] servants
وَادۡخُلِىۡ جَنَّتِىۡ ٪ ٣٠
89:30
And enter My Paradise."
لَاۤ اُقۡسِمُ بِهٰذَا الۡبَلَدِ ۙ ١
90:1
I swear by this city,
وَاَنۡتَ حِلٌّۢ بِهٰذَا الۡبَلَدِ ۙ ٢
90:2
And you, [O Muhammad], are a resident of this city,
وَوَالِدٍ وَّمَا وَلَدَ ۙ ٣
90:3
And [by] the father and that which he begot,
لَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا الۡاِنۡسَانَ فِىۡ كَبَدٍ ؕ ٤
90:4
We have certainly created man into [a life of] hardship.
اَيَحۡسَبُ اَنۡ لَّنۡ يَّقۡدِرَ عَلَيۡهِ اَحَدٌ ۙ ٥
90:5
Does he think that none will ever overcome him?
يَقُوۡلُ اَهۡلَكۡتُ مَالًا لُّبَدًا ؕ ٦
90:6
He says, "I have spent wealth in abundance."
اَيَحۡسَبُ اَنۡ لَّمۡ يَرَهُۤ اَحَدٌ ؕ ٧
90:7
Does he think that none has seen him?
اَلَمۡ نَجۡعَل لَّهٗ عَيۡنَيۡنِ ۙ ٨
90:8
Have We not made for him two eyes?
وَلِسَانًا وَّشَفَتَيۡنِ ۙ ٩
90:9
And a tongue and two lips?
وَّهَدَيۡنٰهُ النَّجۡدَيۡنِ ؕ ١٠
90:10
And shown him the two highways [of good and evil]?
فَلَا اقۡتَحَمَ الۡعَقَبَةَ ۚ ١١
90:11
But he has not attempted the steep ascent.
وَمَاۤ اَدۡرٰٮكَ مَا الۡعَقَبَةُ ؕ ١٢
90:12
And what can make you know what is [that] steep ascent?
فَكُّ رَقَبَةٍ ۙ ١٣
90:13
It is the freeing of a slave
اَوۡ اِطۡعٰمٌ فِىۡ يَوۡمٍ ذِىۡ مَسۡغَبَةٍ ۙ ١٤
90:14
Or feeding on a day of severe hunger
يَّتِيۡمًا ذَا مَقۡرَبَةٍ ۙ ١٥
90:15
An orphan of near relationship
اَوۡ مِسۡكِيۡنًا ذَا مَتۡرَبَةٍ ؕ ١٦
90:16
Or a poor man in [dire] poverty.
ثُمَّ كَانَ مِنَ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَتَوَاصَوۡا بِالصَّبۡرِ وَتَوَاصَوۡا بِالۡمَرۡحَمَةِ ؕ ١٧
90:17
Then he was of those who believed and advised one another to patience and advised one another to mercy.
اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ اَصۡحٰبُ الۡمَيۡمَنَةِ ؕ ١٨
90:18
Those are the companions of the right.
وَالَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا بِاٰيٰتِنَا هُمۡ اَصۡحٰبُ الۡمَشۡـَٔمَةِ ؕ ١٩
90:19
But those who disbelieved in Our signs - they are the companions of the left.
عَلَيۡهِمۡ نَارٌ مُّؤۡصَدَةٌ ٪ ٢٠
90:20
Over them will be fire closed in.
وَالشَّمۡسِ وَضُحٰٮهَا ۙ ١
91:1
By the sun and its brightness,
وَالۡقَمَرِ اِذَا تَلٰٮهَا ۙ ٢
91:2
And [by] the moon when it follows it,
وَالنَّهَارِ اِذَا جَلّٰٮهَا ۙ ٣
91:3
And [by] the day when it displays it,
وَالَّيۡلِ اِذَا يَغۡشٰٮهَا ۙ ٤
91:4
And [by] the night when it covers it,
وَالسَّمَآءِ وَمَا بَنٰٮهَا ۙ ٥
91:5
And [by] the heaven and He who built it,
وَالۡاَرۡضِ وَمَا طَحٰٮهَا ۙ ٦
91:6
And [by] the earth and He who spread it,
وَنَفۡسٍ وَّمَا سَوّٰٮهَا ۙ ٧
91:7
And [by] the soul and He who proportioned it
فَاَلۡهَمَهَا فُجُوۡرَهَا وَتَقۡوٰٮهَا ۙ ٨
91:8
And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness,
قَدۡ اَفۡلَحَ مَنۡ زَكّٰٮهَا ۙ ٩
91:9
He has succeeded who purifies it,
وَقَدۡ خَابَ مَنۡ دَسّٰٮهَا ؕ ١٠
91:10
And he has failed who instills [evil in] it.
كَذَّبَتۡ ثَمُوۡدُ بِطَغۡوٰٮهَا ٓ ۙ ١١
91:11
Thamūd denied [their prophet] by reason of their transgression,
اِذِ انۡۢبَعَثَ اَشۡقٰٮهَا ۙ ١٢
91:12
When the most wretched of them was sent forth [to kill the she-camel].
فَقَالَ لَهُمۡ رَسُوۡلُ اللّٰهِ نَاقَةَ اللّٰهِ وَسُقۡيٰهَا ؕ ١٣
91:13
And the messenger of Allah [Ṣāliḥ] said to them, "[Beware of] the she-camel of Allah and [prevent her from] her drink."
فَكَذَّبُوۡهُ فَعَقَرُوۡهَا فَدَمۡدَمَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ بِذَنۡۢبِهِمۡ فَسَوّٰٮهَا ؕ ١٤
91:14
But they denied him and hamstrung her. So their Lord brought down upon them destruction for their sin and leveled the earth over them.
وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقۡبٰهَا ٪ ١٥
91:15
And He did not fear the consequence thereof.
وَالَّيۡلِ اِذَا يَغۡشٰى ۙ ١
92:1
By the night when it covers [with darkness],
وَالنَّهَارِ اِذَا تَجَلّٰى ۙ ٢
92:2
And [by] the day when it appears,
وَمَا خَلَقَ الذَّكَرَ وَالۡاُنۡثٰى ؕ ٣
92:3
And [by] Him who created the male and female,
اِنَّ سَعۡيَكُمۡ لَشَتّٰى ؕ ٤
92:4
Indeed, your efforts are diverse.
فَاَمَّا مَنۡ اَعۡطٰى وَاتَّقٰى ۙ ٥
92:5
As for he who gives [in charity] and fears [Allah],
وَصَدَّقَ بِالۡحُسۡنٰى ۙ ٦
92:6
And believes in the best [reward],
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهٗ لِلۡيُسۡرٰى ؕ ٧
92:7
We will ease his way toward ease.
وَاَمَّا مَنۡۢ بَخِلَ وَاسۡتَغۡنٰى ۙ ٨
92:8
But as for he who withholds and considers himself self-sufficient,
وَكَذَّبَ بِالۡحُسۡنٰى ۙ ٩
92:9
And denies the best [reward],
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهٗ لِلۡعُسۡرٰى ؕ ١٠
92:10
We will ease his way toward difficulty.
وَمَا يُغۡنِىۡ عَنۡهُ مَالُهٗۤ اِذَا تَرَدّٰى ؕ ١١
92:11
And what will his wealth avail him when he falls [into the Fire]?
اِنَّ عَلَيۡنَا لَلۡهُدٰى ١٢
92:12
Indeed, [incumbent] upon Us is guidance.
وَاِنَّ لَنَا لَلۡاٰخِرَةَ وَالۡاُوۡلٰى ؕ ١٣
92:13
And indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life].
فَاَنۡذَرۡتُكُمۡ نَارًا تَلَظّٰى ۚ ١٤
92:14
So I have warned you of a Fire which flames,
لَا يَصۡلٰٮهَاۤ اِلَّا الۡاَشۡقَى ۙ ١٥
92:15
None will [enter and] burn therein except the most wretched one,
الَّذِىۡ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلّٰى ؕ ١٦
92:16
Who denied and turned away.
وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا الۡاَتۡقَى ۙ ١٧
92:17
But the righteous one will be kept away from it -
الَّذِىۡ يُؤۡتِىۡ مَالَهٗ يَتَزَكّٰى ۚ ١٨
92:18
He who gives his wealth that he may purify himself
وَمَا لِاَحَدٍ عِنۡدَهٗ مِنۡ نِّعۡمَةٍ تُجۡزٰٓى ۙ ١٩
92:19
And not [doing so] for anyone having a favor remaining to be repaid,
اِلَّا ابۡتِغَآءَ وَجۡهِ رَبِّهِ الۡاَعۡلٰى ۚ ٢٠
92:20
But only seeking the countenance of his Lord, Most High.
وَلَسَوۡفَ يَرۡضٰى ٪ ٢١
92:21
And he is going to be satisfied.
وَالضُّحٰى ۙ ١
93:1
By the morning hours,
وَالَّيۡلِ اِذَا سَجٰى ۙ ٢
93:2
And [by] the night when it covers [with darkness],
مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلٰى ؕ ٣
93:3
Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you].
وَلَلۡاٰخِرَةُ خَيۡرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ الۡاُوۡلٰى ؕ ٤
93:4
And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life].
وَلَسَوۡفَ يُعۡطِيۡكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرۡضٰى ؕ ٥
93:5
And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.
اَلَمۡ يَجِدۡكَ يَتِيۡمًا فَاٰوٰى ۙ ٦
93:6
Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge?
وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّا فَهَدٰى ۙ ٧
93:7
And He found you lost and guided [you]?
وَوَجَدَكَ عَآٮِٕلًا فَاَغۡنٰى ؕ ٨
93:8
And He found you poor and enriched [you]?
فَاَمَّا الۡيَتِيۡمَ فَلَا تَقۡهَرۡ ؕ ٩
93:9
So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him].
وَاَمَّا السَّآٮِٕلَ فَلَا تَنۡهَرۡ ؕ ١٠
93:10
And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him].
وَاَمَّا بِنِعۡمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثۡ ٪ ١١
93:11
But as for the favor of your Lord, declare it.
اَلَمۡ نَشۡرَحۡ لَكَ صَدۡرَكَ ۙ ١
94:1
Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your chest?
وَوَضَعۡنَا عَنۡكَ وِزۡرَكَ ۙ ٢
94:2
And relieve you of your burden
الَّذِىۡۤ اَنۡقَضَ ظَهۡرَكَ ۙ ٣
94:3
Which had weighed upon your back?
وَرَفَعۡنَا لَكَ ذِكۡرَكَ ؕ ٤
94:4
And raised high for you your mention?
فَاِنَّ مَعَ الۡعُسۡرِ يُسۡرًا ۙ ٥
94:5
For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.
اِنَّ مَعَ الۡعُسۡرِ يُسۡرًا ؕ ٦
94:6
Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.
فَاِذَا فَرَغۡتَ فَانۡصَبۡ ۙ ٧
94:7
So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship].
وَاِلٰى رَبِّكَ فَارۡغَب ٪ ٨
94:8
And to your Lord direct [your] longing.
وَالتِّيۡنِ وَالزَّيۡتُوۡنِ ۙ ١
95:1
By the fig and the olive
وَطُوۡرِ سِيۡنِيۡنَ ۙ ٢
95:2
And [by] Mount Sinai
وَهٰذَا الۡبَلَدِ الۡاَمِيۡنِ ۙ ٣
95:3
And [by] this city of security [Makkah],
لَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا الۡاِنۡسَانَ فِىۡۤ اَحۡسَنِ تَقۡوِيۡمٍ ۙ ٤
95:4
We have certainly created man in the best of stature;
ثُمَّ رَدَدۡنٰهُ اَسۡفَلَ سٰفِلِيۡنَ ۙ ٥
95:5
Then We return him to the lowest of the low,
اِلَّا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ فَلَهُمۡ اَجۡرٌ غَيۡرُ مَمۡنُوۡنٍ ؕ ٦
95:6
Except those who believe and do righteous deeds, for they will have a reward uninterrupted.
فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعۡدُ بِالدِّيۡنِ ؕ ٧
95:7
So what yet causes you to deny the Recompense?
اَلَيۡسَ اللّٰهُ بِاَحۡكَمِ الۡحٰكِمِيۡنَ ٪ ٨
95:8
Is not Allah the most just of judges?
اِقۡرَاۡ بِاسۡمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِىۡ خَلَقَ ۚ ١
96:1
Recite in the name of your Lord who created -
خَلَقَ الۡاِنۡسَانَ مِنۡ عَلَقٍ ۚ ٢
96:2
Created man from a clinging substance.
اِقۡرَاۡ وَرَبُّكَ الۡاَكۡرَمُ ۙ ٣
96:3
Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous -
الَّذِىۡ عَلَّمَ بِالۡقَلَمِ ۙ ٤
96:4
Who taught by the pen -
عَلَّمَ الۡاِنۡسَانَ مَا لَمۡ يَعۡلَمۡ ؕ ٥
96:5
Taught man that which he knew not.
كَلَّاۤ اِنَّ الۡاِنۡسَانَ لَيَطۡغٰى ٓ ۙ ٦
96:6
No! [But] indeed, man transgresses
اَنۡ رَّاٰهُ اسۡتَغۡنٰى ؕ ٧
96:7
Because he sees himself independent.
اِنَّ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ الرُّجۡعٰى ؕ ٨
96:8
Indeed, to your Lord is the return.
اَرَءَيۡتَ الَّذِىۡ يَنۡهٰى ۙ ٩
96:9
Have you seen the one who forbids
عَبۡدًا اِذَا صَلّٰى ؕ ١٠
96:10
A servant when he prays?
اَرَءَيۡتَ اِنۡ كَانَ عَلَى الۡهُدٰى ۙ ١١
96:11
Have you seen if he is upon guidance
اَوۡ اَمَرَ بِالتَّقۡوٰى ؕ ١٢
96:12
Or enjoins righteousness?
اَرَءَيۡتَ اِنۡ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلّٰى ؕ ١٣
96:13
Have you seen if he denies and turns away -
اَلَمۡ يَعۡلَمۡ بِاَنَّ اللّٰهَ يَرٰى ؕ ١٤
96:14
Does he not know that Allah sees?
كَلَّا لَئِنۡ لَّمۡ يَنۡتَهِ لَنَسۡفَعًا بِالنَّاصِيَةِ ۙ ١٥
96:15
No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock -
نَاصِيَةٍ كَاذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٍ ۚ ١٦
96:16
A lying, sinful forelock.
فَلۡيَدۡعُ نَادِيَهٗ ۙ ١٧
96:17
Then let him call upon his associates [to aid him];
سَنَدۡعُ الزَّبَانِيَةَ ؕ ١٨
96:18
We will call the angels of Hell [to deal with him].
كَلَّا ۖ لَا تُطِعۡهُ وَاسۡجُدۡ وَاقۡتَرِبۡ ٪ ١٩
96:19
No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah].
اِنَّاۤ اَنۡزَلۡنٰهُ فِىۡ لَيۡلَةِ الۡقَدۡرِ ۚ ١
97:1
Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree.
وَمَاۤ اَدۡرٰٮكَ مَا لَيۡلَةُ الۡقَدۡرِ ؕ ٢
97:2
And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree?
لَيۡلَةُ الۡقَدۡرِ خَيۡرٌ مِّنۡ اَلۡفِ شَهۡرٍ ؕ ٣
97:3
The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.
تَنَزَّلُ الۡمَلٰٓٮِٕكَةُ وَالرُّوۡحُ فِيۡهَا بِاِذۡنِ رَبِّهِمۡ مِّنۡ كُلِّ اَمۡرٍ ۛۚ ٤
97:4
The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter.
سَلٰمٌ هِىَ حَتّٰى مَطۡلَعِ الۡفَجۡرِ ٪ ٥
97:5
Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.
لَمۡ يَكُنِ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا مِنۡ اَهۡلِ الۡكِتٰبِ وَالۡمُشۡرِكِيۡنَ مُنۡفَكِّيۡنَ حَتّٰى تَاۡتِيَهُمُ الۡبَيِّنَةُ ۙ ١
98:1
Those who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists would not have [ceased from disbelief] until there came to them the clear evidence -
رَسُوۡلٌ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ يَتۡلُوۡا صُحُفًا مُّطَهَّرَةً ۙ ٢
98:2
A Messenger from Allah, reciting purified scrolls
فِيۡهَا كُتُبٌ قَيِّمَةٌ ؕ ٣
98:3
Within which are correct writings.
وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ الَّذِيۡنَ اُوۡتُوا الۡكِتٰبَ اِلَّا مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَآءَتۡهُمُ الۡبَيِّنَةُ ؕ ٤
98:4
Nor did those who were given the Scripture become divided until after there had come to them the clear evidence.
وَمَاۤ اُمِرُوۡۤا اِلَّا لِيَعۡبُدُوا اللّٰهَ مُخۡلِصِيۡنَ لَهُ الدِّيۡنَ ۙ حُنَفَآءَ وَيُقِيۡمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَيُؤۡتُوا الزَّكٰوةَ وَذٰلِكَ دِيۡنُ الۡقَيِّمَةِ ؕ ٥
98:5
And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and to give zakāh. And that is the correct religion.
اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا مِنۡ اَهۡلِ الۡكِتٰبِ وَالۡمُشۡرِكِيۡنَ فِىۡ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خٰلِدِيۡنَ فِيۡهَا ؕ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمۡ شَرُّ الۡبَرِيَّةِ ؕ ٦
98:6
Indeed, those who disbelieve among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. Those are the worst of creatures.
اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمۡ خَيۡرُ الۡبَرِيَّةِ ؕ ٧
98:7
Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - those are the best of creatures.
جَزَآؤُهُمۡ عِنۡدَ رَبِّهِمۡ جَنّٰتُ عَدۡنٍ تَجۡرِىۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِهَا الۡاَنۡهٰرُ خٰلِدِيۡنَ فِيۡهَاۤ اَبَدًا ؕ رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَنۡهُمۡ وَرَضُوۡا عَنۡهُ ؕ ذٰلِكَ لِمَنۡ خَشِىَ رَبَّهٗ ٪ ٨
98:8
Their reward with their Lord will be gardens of perpetual residence beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever. Allah will be pleased with them, and they will be pleased with Him. That is for whoever has feared his Lord.
اِذَا زُلۡزِلَتِ الۡاَرۡضُ زِلۡزَالَهَا ۙ ١
99:1
When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake
وَاَخۡرَجَتِ الۡاَرۡضُ اَثۡقَالَها ۙ ٢
99:2
And the earth discharges its burdens
وَقَالَ الۡاِنۡسَانُ مَا لَهَا ۚ ٣
99:3
And man says, "What is [wrong] with it?" -
يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ تُحَدِّثُ اَخۡبَارَهَا ۙ ٤
99:4
That Day, the earth will report its news
بِاَنَّ رَبَّكَ اَوۡحٰى لَهَا ؕ ٥
99:5
Because your Lord has inspired [instruction] to it.
يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ يَّصۡدُرُ النَّاسُ اَشۡتَاتًا ۙ لِّيُرَوۡا اَعۡمَالَهُمۡ ؕ ٦
99:6
That Day, the people will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds.
فَمَنۡ يَّعۡمَلۡ مِثۡقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيۡرًا يَّرَهٗ ؕ ٧
99:7
So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it,
وَمَنۡ يَّعۡمَلۡ مِثۡقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَّرَهٗ ٪ ٨
99:8
And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it.
وَالۡعٰدِيٰتِ ضَبۡحًا ۙ ١
100:1
By the galloping, panting horses,
فَالۡمُوۡرِيٰتِ قَدۡحًا ۙ ٢
100:2
And the strikers of sparks [with their hooves],
فَالۡمُغِيۡرٰتِ صُبۡحًا ۙ ٣
100:3
And the raiders at dawn,
فَاَثَرۡنَ بِهٖ نَقۡعًا ۙ ٤
100:4
Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust,
فَوَسَطۡنَ بِهٖ جَمۡعًا ۙ ٥
100:5
Arriving thereby in the center [of the enemy],
اِنَّ الۡاِنۡسَانَ لِرَبِّهٖ لَكَنُوۡدٌ ۚ ٦
100:6
Indeed, mankind is to his Lord ungrateful.
وَاِنَّهٗ عَلٰى ذٰلِكَ لَشَهِيۡدٌ ۚ ٧
100:7
And indeed, he is to that a witness.
وَاِنَّهٗ لِحُبِّ الۡخَيۡرِ لَشَدِيۡدٌ ؕ ٨
100:8
And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense.
اَفَلَا يَعۡلَمُ اِذَا بُعۡثِرَ مَا فِى الۡقُبُوۡرِ ۙ ٩
100:9
But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered
وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِى الصُّدُوۡرِ ۙ ١٠
100:10
And that within the chests is obtained,
اِنَّ رَبَّهُمۡ بِهِمۡ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ لَّخَبِيۡرٌ ٪ ١١
100:11
Indeed, their Lord is, concerning them, fully Aware on that Day?
اَلۡقَارِعَةُ ۙ ١
101:1
The Striking Calamity -
مَا الۡقَارِعَةُ ۚ ٢
101:2
What is the Striking Calamity?
وَمَاۤ اَدۡرٰٮكَ مَا الۡقَارِعَةُ ؕ ٣
101:3
And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity?
يَوۡمَ يَكُوۡنُ النَّاسُ كَالۡفَرَاشِ الۡمَبۡثُوۡثِ ۙ ٤
101:4
It is the Day when people will be like scattered moths
وَتَكُوۡنُ الۡجِبَالُ كَالۡعِهۡنِ الۡمَنۡفُوۡشِ ؕ ٥
101:5
And the mountains will be like plucked wool.
فَاَمَّا مَنۡ ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَازِيۡنُهٗ ۙ ٦
101:6
Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds],
فَهُوَ فِىۡ عِيۡشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ ؕ ٧
101:7
He will be in a pleasing life.
وَاَمَّا مَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَازِيۡنُهٗ ۙ ٨
101:8
But as for one whose scales are light,
فَاُمُّهٗ هَاوِيَةٌ ؕ ٩
101:9
His refuge will be an abyss [i.e., Hell].
وَمَاۤ اَدۡرٰٮكَ مَا هِيَهۡ ؕ ١٠
101:10
And what can make you know what that is?
نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌ ٪ ١١
101:11
It is a Fire, intensely hot.
اَلۡهٰٮكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُ ۙ ١
102:1
Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you
حَتّٰى زُرۡتُمُ الۡمَقَابِرَ ؕ ٢
102:2
Until you visit the graveyards.
كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ۙ ٣
102:3
No! You are going to know.
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ؕ ٤
102:4
Again, no! You are going to know.
كَلَّا لَوۡ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ عِلۡمَ الۡيَقِيۡنِ ؕ ٥
102:5
No! If you only knew with [certain] knowledge [what is coming]!
لَتَرَوُنَّ الۡجَحِيۡمَ ۙ ٦
102:6
You will surely see the Hellfire.
ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيۡنَ الۡيَقِيۡنِ ۙ ٧
102:7
Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty.
ثُمَّ لَتُسۡـَٔلُنَّ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ عَنِ النَّعِيۡمِ ٪ ٨
102:8
Then, on that Day, you will surely be asked about the pleasure [you indulged in].
وَالۡعَصۡرِ ۙ ١
103:1
By [the passage of] time,
اِنَّ الۡاِنۡسَانَ لَفِىۡ خُسۡرٍ ۙ ٢
103:2
Indeed, mankind is in [grave] loss,
اِلَّا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوۡا بِالۡحَقِّ ۙ وَتَوَاصَوۡا بِالصَّبۡرِ ٪ ٣
103:3
Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.
وَيۡلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةِ ۙ ١
104:1
Woe to every backbiter, slanderer,
الَّذِىۡ جَمَعَ مَالًا وَّعَدَّدَهٗ ۙ ٢
104:2
Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it.
يَحۡسَبُ اَنَّ مَالَهٗۤ اَخۡلَدَهٗ ۚ ٣
104:3
He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal.
كَلَّا لَيُنۡۢبَذَنَّ فِى الۡحُطَمَةِ ۫ ٤
104:4
No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher.
وَمَاۤ اَدۡرٰٮكَ مَا الۡحُطَمَةُ ؕ ٥
104:5
And what can make you know what the Crusher is?
نَارُ اللّٰهِ الۡمُوۡقَدَةُ ۙ ٦
104:6
It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled,
الَّتِىۡ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الۡاَفۡـِٕدَةِ ؕ ٧
104:7
Which mounts to the hearts.
اِنَّهَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ مُّؤۡصَدَةٌ ۙ ٨
104:8
Indeed, it will be closed down upon them
فِىۡ عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍ ٪ ٩
104:9
In extended columns.
اَلَمۡ تَرَ كَيۡفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِاَصۡحٰبِ الۡفِيۡلِ ؕ ١
105:1
Have you not considered, [O Muhammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant?
اَلَمۡ يَجۡعَلۡ كَيۡدَهُمۡ فِىۡ تَضۡلِيۡلٍ ۙ ٢
105:2
Did He not make their plan go astray?
وَاَرۡسَلَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ طَيۡرًا اَبَابِيۡلَ ۙ ٣
105:3
And He sent against them birds in flocks,
تَرۡمِيۡهِمۡ بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّنۡ سِجِّيۡلٍ ۙ ٤
105:4
Striking them with stones of hard clay,
فَجَعَلَهُمۡ كَعَصۡفٍ مَّاۡكُوۡلٍ ٪ ٥
105:5
And He made them like [fragments of] an eaten straw.
لِاِيۡلٰفِ قُرَيۡشٍ ۙ ١
106:1
For the accustomed security of [the tribe of] Quraysh -
اٖلٰفِهِمۡ رِحۡلَةَ الشِّتَآءِ وَالصَّيۡفِ ۚ ٢
106:2
Their accustomed security [in] the journey of winter and summer -
فَلۡيَعۡبُدُوۡا رَبَّ هٰذَا الۡبَيۡتِ ۙ ٣
106:3
Let them worship the Lord of this House,
الَّذِىۡۤ اَطۡعَمَهُمۡ مِّنۡ جُوۡعٍ وَّاٰمَنَهُمۡ مِّنۡ خَوۡفٍ ٪ ٤
106:4
Who has fed them, [saving them] from hunger and made them safe from fear.
اَرَءَيۡتَ الَّذِىۡ يُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّيۡنِؕ ١
107:1
Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense?
فَذٰلِكَ الَّذِىۡ يَدُعُّ الۡيَتِيۡمَ ۙ ٢
107:2
For that is the one who drives away the orphan
وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلٰى طَعَامِ الۡمِسۡكِيۡنِ ؕ ٣
107:3
And does not encourage the feeding of the poor.
فَوَيۡلٌ لِّلۡمُصَلِّيۡنَ ۙ ٤
107:4
So woe to those who pray
الَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ عَنۡ صَلَاتِهِمۡ سَاهُوۡنَ ۙ ٥
107:5
— [But] who are heedless of their prayer —
الَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ يُرَآءُوۡنَ ۙ ٦
107:6
Those who make show [of their deeds]
وَيَمۡنَعُوۡنَ الۡمَاعُوۡنَ ٪ ٧
107:7
And withhold [simple] assistance.
اِنَّاۤ اَعۡطَيۡنٰكَ الۡكَوۡثَرَ ؕ ١
108:1
Indeed, We have granted you, [O Muhammad], al-Kawthar.
فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانۡحَرۡ ؕ ٢
108:2
So pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone].
اِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ الۡاَبۡتَرُ ٪ ٣
108:3
Indeed, your enemy is the one cut off [from future hope].
قُلۡ يٰۤاَيُّهَا الۡكٰفِرُوۡنَ ۙ ١
109:1
Say, "O disbelievers,
لَاۤ اَعۡبُدُ مَا تَعۡبُدُوۡنَ ۙ ٢
109:2
I do not worship what you worship,
وَلَاۤ اَنۡتُمۡ عٰبِدُوۡنَ مَاۤ اَعۡبُدُ ۚ ٣
109:3
Nor are you worshippers of what I worship.
وَلَاۤ اَنَا عَابِدٌ مَّا عَبَدتُّمۡ ۙ ٤
109:4
Nor will I be a worshipper of what you worship.
وَلَاۤ اَنۡتُمۡ عٰبِدُوۡنَ مَاۤ اَعۡبُدُ ؕ ٥
109:5
Nor will you be worshippers of what I worship.
لَكُمۡ دِيۡنُكُمۡ وَلِىَ دِيۡنِ ٪ ٦
109:6
For you is your religion, and for me is my religion."
اِذَا جَآءَ نَصۡرُ اللّٰهِ وَالۡفَتۡحُ ۙ ١
110:1
When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest,
وَرَاَيۡتَ النَّاسَ يَدۡخُلُوۡنَ فِىۡ دِيۡنِ اللّٰهِ اَفۡوَاجًا ۙ ٢
110:2
And you see the people entering into the religion of Allah in multitudes,
فَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ وَاسۡتَغۡفِرۡهُ ؕ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ تَوَّابًا ٪ ٣
110:3
Then exalt [Him] with praise of your Lord and ask for His forgiveness. Indeed, He is ever Accepting of repentance.
تَبَّتۡ يَدَاۤ اَبِىۡ لَهَبٍ وَّتَبَّ ؕ ١
111:1
May the hands of Abū Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he.
مَاۤ اَغۡنٰى عَنۡهُ مَالُهٗ وَمَا كَسَبَ ؕ ٢
111:2
His wealth will not avail him or whatever he gained.
سَيَصۡلٰى نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ ۙ ٣
111:3
He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame
وَّامۡرَاَتُهٗ ؕ حَمَّالَةَ الۡحَطَبِ ۚ ٤
111:4
And his wife [as well], the carrier of firewood,
فِىۡ جِيۡدِهَا حَبۡلٌ مِّنۡ مَّسَدٍ ٪ ٥
111:5
Around her neck will be a rope of [twisted] palm fiber.
قُلۡ هُوَ اللّٰهُ اَحَدٌ ۚ ١
112:1
Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One,
اَللّٰهُ الصَّمَدُ ۚ ٢
112:2
Allah, the Eternal Refuge.
لَمۡ يَلِدۡ وَلَمۡ يُوۡلَدۡ ۙ ٣
112:3
He neither begats nor is born,
وَلَمۡ يَكُنۡ لَّهٗ كُفُوًا اَحَدٌ ٪ ٤
112:4
Nor is there to Him any equivalent."
قُلۡ اَعُوۡذُ بِرَبِّ الۡفَلَقِ ۙ ١
113:1
Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak
مِنۡ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ ۙ ٢
113:2
From the evil of that which He created
وَمِنۡ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ اِذَا وَقَبَ ۙ ٣
113:3
And from the evil of darkness when it settles
وَمِنۡ شَرِّ النَّفّٰثٰتِ فِى الۡعُقَدِ ۙ ٤
113:4
And from the evil of the blowers in knots [i.e., practitioners of black magic]
وَمِنۡ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ اِذَا حَسَدَ ٪ ٥
113:5
And from the evil of an envier when he envies."
قُلۡ اَعُوۡذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ ۙ ١
114:1
Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind,
مَلِكِ النَّاسِ ۙ ٢
114:2
The Sovereign of mankind,
اِلٰهِ النَّاسِ ۙ ٣
114:3
The God of mankind,
مِنۡ شَرِّ الۡوَسۡوَاسِ الۡخَنَّاسِ ۙ ٤
114:4
From the evil of the retreating whisperer -
الَّذِىۡ يُوَسۡوِسُ فِىۡ صُدُوۡرِ النَّاسِ ۙ ٥
114:5
Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind -
مِنَ الۡجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ ٪ ٦
114:6
[From] among the jinn and mankind."
