Juz 07

(5:82 – 6:110)

5:82

You will surely find the most intense of people in enmity toward the believers to be the Jews and the polytheists. And you will surely find the nearest of them in affection to the believers to be those who say, “We are Christians.” That is because among them are priests and monks and because they are not arrogant.

5:83

And when they hear what has been revealed to the Messenger, you see their eyes overflowing with tears because of the truth they have recognized. They say, “Our Lord, we have believed, so register us with the witnesses.

5:84

And why should we not believe in Allāh and the truth that has come to us, while we long that our Lord will admit us with the righteous people?”

5:85

So Allāh rewarded them for what they said with Gardens under which rivers flow, abiding therein forever. And that is the recompense of the good-doers.

5:86

But those who disbelieve and reject Our revelations—it is they who will be the residents of the Blazing Fire.

5:87

O believers! Do not forbid the good things that Allāh has made lawful for you, and do not transgress. Indeed, Allāh does not like transgressors.

5:88

And eat from what Allāh has provided for you as lawful and good, and be mindful of Allāh, in whom you believe.

5:89

Allāh will not hold you accountable for the laghū (unintentional) oaths you make, but He will hold you accountable for the deliberate oaths you commit to. The expiation for a deliberate oath is feeding ten poor people from the average of what you feed your families, or clothing them, or freeing a slave. But whoever cannot afford this must fast for three days. That is the expiation for your oaths when you have sworn. So safeguard your oaths. Thus Allāh makes clear to you His verses so that you may be grateful.

5:90

O believers! Intoxicants, gambling, stone altars, and divining arrows are all detestable acts of Satan. So shun them so you may succeed.

5:91

Satan only seeks to provoke enmity and hatred among you through intoxicants and gambling, and to divert you from the remembrance of Allāh and from prayer. So will you not desist?

5:92

And obey Allāh and obey the Messenger, and be cautious. But if you turn away, then know that Our Messenger’s duty is only to deliver the clear message.

5:93

There is no blame upon those who believe and do good deeds for what they ate ˹in the past˺, as long as they were mindful ˹of Allāh˺ and believed and did good deeds, and then continued to be mindful and believed, and then continued to be mindful and perfected their deeds. And Allāh loves the good-doers.

5:94

O believers! Allāh will surely test you with something of the game that your hands and spears can reach, so that Allāh may know who fears Him unseen. And whoever transgresses after that will have a painful punishment.

5:95

O believers! Do not kill game while you are in the state of iḥrām. Whoever among you deliberately kills game, the penalty is a compensatory offering—an animal, equivalent to the one killed, judged by two just people among you—to be delivered to the Ka‘bah, or expiation by feeding the poor, or equivalent fasting, so that the killer may taste the consequence of their deed. Allāh forgives what is past, but whoever relapses, Allāh will take retribution from them. And Allāh is Almighty, Avenger.

5:96

Lawful for you is the game of the sea and its food as a provision for you and for travellers. But forbidden to you is the game of the land as long as you are in the state of iḥrām. And be mindful of Allāh, to whom you will be gathered.

5:97

Allāh has made the Ka‘bah, the Sacred House, a refuge for mankind, and the Sacred Month, and the sacrificial animals, and the garlanded ˹ones˺. This is so that you may know that Allāh knows whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and that Allāh is All-Knowing of everything.

5:98

Know that Allāh is severe in punishment and that Allāh is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

5:99

The Messenger’s duty is only to deliver ˹the message˺. And Allāh knows what you disclose and what you conceal.

5:100

Say, “The evil and the good are not equal, even if the abundance of evil pleases you.” So be mindful of Allāh, O people of reason, so that you may succeed.

5:101

O believers! Do not ask about things which, if they were disclosed to you, would trouble you. But if you ask about them while the Qur’an is being revealed, they will be disclosed to you. Allāh has pardoned what is past. And Allāh is All-Forgiving, Most Forbearing.

5:102

Indeed, a people before you asked about them, and then by doing so, they became disbelievers in them.

5:103

Allāh has not instituted ˹superstitions like˺ a Baḥīrah (slit-ear female camel), or a Sā’ibah (female camel let loose), or a Waṣīlah (female sheep that gives birth to twins), or a Ḥām (stallion camel set free). But those who disbelieve invent lies against Allāh, and most of them do not reason.

5:104

And when it is said to them, “Come to what Allāh has revealed and to the Messenger,” they say, “Sufficient for us is what we found our fathers doing.” Even though their fathers knew nothing and were not guided?

5:105

O believers! Take care of yourselves. The straying of others will not harm you if you are ˹rightly˺ guided. To Allāh is your return all together; then He will inform you of what you used to do.

5:106

O believers! When death approaches any of you, let two just men from among you act as witnesses to the making of a will. Or ˹you may choose˺ two others from outside your group if you are travelling through the land and the affliction of death strikes you. Detain the witnesses after prayer, and let them swear by Allāh, if you doubt them, ˹saying,˺ “We will not exchange our testimony for any price, even if it concerns a near relative, and we will not withhold the testimony of Allāh, for then we would surely be among the sinners.”

5:107

But if it becomes known that the two ˹original witnesses˺ have committed a sin ˹by false swearing˺, then two others should stand in their place from among those whose rights were violated, the nearest ˹heirs˺, and let them swear by Allāh: “Our testimony is truer than their testimony, and we have not transgressed the limits. For then we would surely be among the wrongdoers.”

5:108

That is more likely to ensure that they bring the testimony forth in its true form or fear that ˹other˺ oaths will be taken after their oaths. And be mindful of Allāh and listen. For Allāh does not guide the rebellious people.

5:109

˹Imagine˺ the Day when Allāh will gather the messengers and ask ˹them˺, “What was the response you received ˹from your people˺?” They will say, “We have no knowledge. Indeed, You alone are the Knower of all unseen.”

5:110

˹Then remember˺ when Allāh said, “O Jesus, son of Mary, recall My favour upon you and upon your mother, when I supported you with the holy spirit ˹Gabriel˺, enabling you to speak to people in the cradle and in maturity; and when I taught you the Scripture and wisdom, the Torah and the Gospel; and when you would shape from clay the figure of a bird by My permission, then you would breathe into it, and it would become a ˹living˺ bird by My permission; and you would cure the blind and the leper by My permission; and when you would bring the dead out ˹from the graves˺ by My permission; and when I prevented the Children of Israel from harming you when you came to them with clear proofs, and the disbelievers among them said, ‘This is nothing but clear magic!’”

5:111

And ˹recall˺ when I inspired the disciples ˹of Jesus˺ to believe in Me and My Messenger. They said, “We believe, and bear witness that we are those who submit ˹Muslims˺.”

5:112

˹Remember˺ when the disciples said, “O Jesus, son of Mary! Can your Lord send down to us a table spread with food from the heaven?” He said, “Be mindful of Allāh, if you are believers.”

5:113

They said, “We wish to eat from it, so that our hearts may be assured, and that we may know that you have told us the truth, and that we may be witnesses to it.”

5:114

Jesus, son of Mary, prayed, “O Allāh, our Lord! Send down to us a table spread with food from the heaven, to be a feast for us—for the first and the last of us—and a sign from You. And provide for us, for You are the Best Provider.”

5:115

Allāh responded, “I will indeed send it down to you. But whoever among you disbelieves after that, I will certainly punish him with a punishment I have never inflicted on anyone in the world.”

5:116

And ˹beware of˺ the Day when Allāh will say, “O Jesus, son of Mary! Did you tell people, ‘Take me and my mother as two gods besides Allāh’?” He will reply, “Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right to say. If I had said it, You would have certainly known it. You know what is within my soul, but I do not know what is within Yours. Indeed, You alone are the Knower of all unseen.”

5:117

“I only told them what You commanded me: ‘Worship Allāh, my Lord and your Lord.’ I was a witness over them as long as I remained among them, but when You took me up, You were the Observer over them. And You are a Witness over all things.

5:118

If You punish them, they are Your servants; and if You forgive them, indeed, You are the Almighty, the All-Wise.”

5:119

Allāh will say, “This is the Day when the truthfulness of the truthful will benefit them.” For them are Gardens under which rivers flow, abiding therein forever. Allāh is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. That is the great triumph.

5:120

To Allāh belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is within them. And He is over all things All-Powerful.

6:1

All praise is due to Allāh, who created the heavens and the earth and made the darkness and the light. Yet, those who disbelieve equate others with their Lord.

6:2

He is the One who created you from clay, then decreed a term (for your life)—and a term is fixed with Him ˹for your resurrection˺—yet you still doubt.

6:3

And He is Allāh in the heavens and the earth. He knows your secrets and what you make public, and He knows what you earn.

6:4

Yet, no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they turn away from it.

6:5

They have rejected the truth when it came to them, so the news of what they mocked will soon reach them.

6:6

Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them? We had established them on earth more firmly than We have established you, and We sent down abundant rain upon them, and made rivers flow beneath them. Yet, We destroyed them for their sins and raised up other generations after them.

6:7

Even if We had sent down to you ˹O Prophet˺ a book inscribed on paper, and they had touched it with their own hands, the disbelievers would still have said, “This is nothing but clear magic.”

6:8

And they say, “Why was no angel sent down to him?” Had We sent down an angel, the matter would have been settled immediately, and they would have been given no respite.

6:9

And if We had made him an angel, We would have certainly made him appear as a man, and thus We would have confused them in the same way they are now confused.

6:10

Indeed, messengers before you were mocked, but those who scoffed were encircled by the very punishment they used to ridicule.

6:11

Say, “Travel through the land and observe how was the end of those who denied.”

6:12

Say, “To whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth?” Say, “To Allāh.” He has decreed upon Himself mercy. He will surely assemble you on the Day of Resurrection—there is no doubt about it. Those who have lost their souls are the ones who do not believe.

6:13

And to Him belongs whatever rests in the night and the day. And He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.

6:14

Say, “Shall I take as a guardian other than Allāh, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, who feeds and is not fed?” Say, “Indeed, I have been commanded to be the first of those who submit [Muslims], and not to be among the polytheists.”

6:15

Say, “Indeed, I fear, if I were to disobey my Lord, the punishment of a tremendous Day.”

6:16

Whoever is spared from it on that Day—Allāh has certainly been merciful to him. And that is the clear triumph.

6:17

If Allāh touches you with harm, none can remove it except Him; and if He touches you with good, then He is over all things All-Powerful.

6:18

And He is the Irresistible, dominant over His servants. And He is the All-Wise, the All-Aware.

6:19

Say, “What thing is greatest in testimony?” Say, “Allāh is Witness between me and you. And this Qur’ān has been revealed to me that I may warn you with it and whoever it reaches. Do you truly testify that there are other gods with Allāh?” Say, “I do not testify ˹to that˺.” Say, “Indeed, He is but One God, and indeed, I am free of what you associate with Him.”

6:20

Those to whom We have given the Scripture recognize him (the Prophet) as they recognize their own sons. But those who have lost their souls do not believe.

6:21

And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allāh or denies His revelations? Indeed, the wrongdoers will never succeed.

6:22

And ˹beware of˺ the Day when We will gather them all together, then We will say to those who associated partners, “Where are your ‘partners’ whom you used to claim?”

6:23

Then their only trial will be to say, “By Allāh, our Lord, we were not polytheists!”

6:24

See how they lie against themselves, and what they used to invent has vanished from them!

6:25

And among them are those who listen to you, but We have cast veils over their hearts, so they do not understand it, and deafness in their ears. Even if they saw every sign, they would not believe in it. When they come to you, they dispute with you, saying—those who disbelieve—“This is nothing but legends of the former peoples.”

6:26

They forbid others from it and keep away from it themselves. They only destroy themselves, though they do not realize it.

6:27

If only you could see when they are made to stand before the Fire! They will say, “Oh, if only we could be sent back! We would not deny the revelations of our Lord, and we would be among the believers.”

6:28

But what they used to conceal earlier has become apparent to them. And even if they were sent back, they would certainly return to what they were forbidden, for they are truly liars.

6:29

And they say, “There is nothing except our life in this world, and we will not be resurrected.”

6:30

If only you could see when they are made to stand before their Lord! He will say, “Is this not the truth?” They will say, “Yes, by our Lord!” He will say, “Then taste the punishment for what you used to disbelieve.”

6:31

Lost indeed are those who denied the meeting with Allāh, until, when the Hour comes upon them suddenly, they will say, “Alas for us, for our negligence concerning it!” And they will bear their burdens on their backs. Evil indeed is what they will bear!

6:32

The life of this world is nothing but play and diversion. But the Home of the Hereafter is far better for those who are mindful of Allāh. Will you not then reason?

6:33

We certainly know that what they say grieves you. Yet, it is not you they deny, but it is the revelations of Allāh that the wrongdoers reject.

6:34

And indeed, messengers before you were denied, but they patiently endured the denial and the persecution until Our help came to them. There is no changer of the words of Allāh. And there has already come to you some information about the messengers.

6:35

If their avoidance is distressing to you, then if you are able to seek a tunnel into the earth or a ladder into the sky and bring them a sign ˹then do so˺! But if Allāh had willed, He would have gathered them all to guidance. So do not be among the ignorant.

6:36

Only those who listen will respond. As for the dead, Allāh will resurrect them, then to Him they will be returned.

6:37

And they say, “Why has no sign been sent down to him from his Lord?” Say, “Indeed, Allāh is able to send down a sign, but most of them do not know.”

6:38

There is no moving creature on the earth or bird flying with its wings except that they are communities like you. We have not neglected anything in the Register. Then to their Lord they will be gathered.

6:39

But those who deny Our revelations are deaf and dumb, in utter darkness. Whomever Allāh wills, He leaves to stray; and whomever He wills, He places him on a straight path.

6:40

Say, “Tell me, if the punishment of Allāh came upon you or the Hour came upon you, would you call upon anyone other than Allāh, if you are truthful?”

6:41

No, you would only call upon Him! Then, if He wills, He would remove the affliction for which you called upon Him, and you would forget whatever partners you associated ˹with Him˺.

6:42

We certainly sent messengers to nations before you, and We seized them with poverty and adversity that they might humble themselves ˹to Us˺.

6:43

If only, when Our punishment came upon them, they had humbled themselves! But their hearts hardened, and Satan made attractive to them what they were doing.

6:44

But when they disregarded the warnings they were given, We opened for them the doors to everything ˹enjoyable˺ until, when they rejoiced in what they were given, We seized them suddenly, and they were plunged into despair.

6:45

So the roots of the people who did wrong were cut off. And all praise is due to Allāh, the Lord of all worlds.

6:46

Say, “Tell me, if Allāh were to take away your hearing and your sight, and seal your hearts, which god other than Allāh could restore them to you?” See how We diversify the signs; yet they turn away.

6:47

Say, “Tell me, if the punishment of Allāh came upon you suddenly or openly, would any be destroyed except the wrongdoing people?”

6:48

We do not send the messengers except as bearers of good news and as warners. So those who believe and correct themselves—there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.

6:49

But those who deny Our revelations—the punishment will afflict them for their persistent rebellion.

6:50

Say, “I do not say to you that I possess the treasures of Allāh, nor do I know the unseen, nor do I say to you that I am an angel. I only follow what is revealed to me.” Say, “Are the blind and the seeing equal? Will you not then reflect?”

6:51

And warn with it (the Qur’ān) those who fear that they will be gathered to their Lord—when there will be for them no protector or intercessor besides Him—so that they may become righteous.

6:52

And do not drive away those who call upon their Lord morning and evening, seeking His Face. You are not responsible for their reckoning in any way, nor are they responsible for yours, so if you drive them away, you will be among the wrongdoers.

6:53

And thus We have tested some of them with others so they might say, “Are these the ones Allāh has favoured among us?” Is not Allāh most knowing of those who are grateful?

6:54

And when those who believe in Our revelations come to you, say, “Peace be upon you. Your Lord has decreed upon Himself mercy, that whoever of you does wrong in ignorance and then repents after that and corrects himself—then indeed, Allāh is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”

6:55

And thus We explain the revelations, and so the way of the criminals may become clear.

6:56

Say, “I have been forbidden to worship those whom you call upon instead of Allāh.” Say, “I will not follow your desires; for then I would have strayed and would not be among the guided.”

6:57

Say, “Indeed, I stand upon clear proof from my Lord, and you have denied it. I do not possess what you seek to hasten. The judgement is only for Allāh. He relates the truth, and He is the best of judges.”

6:58

Say, “If I had what you seek to hasten, the matter between me and you would have been concluded. But Allāh is most knowing of the wrongdoers.”

6:59

And with Him are the keys of the unseen; none knows them except Him. And He knows what is on the land and in the sea. Not a leaf falls but that He knows it. Nor is there a grain in the darkness of the earth or anything wet or dry but that it is in a clear record.

6:60

And He is the One who takes your souls at night and knows what you have done by day. Then He raises you up again therein that an appointed term may be fulfilled. Then to Him is your return; then He will inform you of what you used to do.

6:61

And He is the Irresistible, dominant over His servants, and He sends over you protectors, until, when death comes to one of you, Our messengers take him, and they do not fail ˹in their duty˺.

6:62

Then they are returned to Allāh, their true Protector. Unquestionably, His is the judgement, and He is the swiftest of reckoners.

6:63

Say, “Who saves you from the darkness ˹dangers˺ of the land and sea? You call upon Him imploring ˹Him˺ humbly and secretly, ˹saying,˺ ‘If He saves us from this, we will surely be among the grateful.’”

6:64

Say, “Allāh saves you from them and from every distress; then you still associate others ˹with Him˺.”

6:65

Say, “He is the One who has the power to send upon you punishment from above you or from beneath your feet, or to divide you into contending factions and make some of you taste the violence of others.” Look how We diversify the revelations that they might understand.

6:66

But your people have denied it, though it is the truth. Say, “I am not a guardian over you.”

6:67

For every prophecy there is a fixed time, and you will soon know ˹it˺.

6:68

And when you see those who engage in idle discourse about Our verses, turn away from them until they enter into a different conversation. But if Satan causes you to forget, then after the remembrance, do not sit with the wrongdoing people.

6:69

There is no accountability upon those who are righteous regarding their reckoning, but it is a reminder so that they may become mindful ˹of Allāh˺.

6:70

And leave those who take their religion as amusement and play and whom the worldly life has deluded. But remind with the Qur’ān lest a soul be given over to ruin for what it earned. It will have no protector or intercessor besides Allāh. And even if it offered every ransom, it would not be accepted from it. Those are the ones given over to ruin for what they earned. For them will be a drink of scalding water and a painful punishment because of their disbelief.

6:71

Say, “Shall we call upon other than Allāh what neither benefits nor harms us, and turn back on our heels after Allāh has guided us? ˹We would be˺ like the one whom the devils have lured away in the land, bewildered, while he has companions calling to him to the guidance, ˹saying,˺ ‘Come to us!’” Say, “Indeed, the guidance of Allāh is the ˹only true˺ guidance. And we have been commanded to submit to the Lord of all worlds.

6:72

And to establish prayer and fear Him.” And He is the One to whom you will be gathered.

6:73

And He is the One who created the heavens and the earth in truth. And on the Day He says, “Be,” and it is, His word is the truth. And His is the dominion on the Day the Horn is blown. He is the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed. And He is the All-Wise, the All-Aware.

6:74

And ˹remember, O Prophet, when˺ Abraham said to his father, Azar, “Do you take idols as gods? Indeed, I see you and your people in clear error.”

6:75

And thus did We show Abraham the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, that he might be among those certain ˹in faith˺.

6:76

When the night covered him, he saw a star. He said, “This is my Lord.” But when it set, he said, “I do not love those that disappear.”

6:77

When he saw the moon rising, he said, “This is my Lord.” But when it set, he said, “Unless my Lord guides me, I will surely be among the misguided people.”

6:78

When he saw the sun rising, he said, “This is my Lord; this is greater.” But when it set, he said, “O my people! Indeed, I am free from what you associate ˹with Allāh˺.

6:79

Indeed, I have turned my face towards the One who created the heavens and the earth, inclining toward truth, and I am not of the polytheists.”

6:80

And his people argued with him. He said, “Do you argue with me concerning Allāh, while He has guided me? And I do not fear what you associate with Him, unless my Lord wills otherwise. My Lord encompasses all things in knowledge. Will you not then be mindful?

6:81

And why should I fear what you have associated ˹with Him˺, while you do not fear associating with Allāh that for which He has not sent down any authority upon you? So which of the two parties is more worthy of security, if you only knew?”

6:82

Those who believe and do not mix their faith with wrongdoing (polytheism)—it is they who will have security, and they are rightly guided.

6:83

And that was Our argument which We gave to Abraham against his people. We raise in ranks whom We will. Indeed, your Lord is All-Wise, All-Knowing.

6:84

And We gave him Isaac and Jacob—We guided each of them. And before him, We guided Noah. And from his descendants, David, Solomon, Job, Joseph, Moses, and Aaron. And thus We reward the good-doers.

6:85

And Zechariah, John, Jesus, and Elijah—each one of them was among the righteous.

6:86

And Ishmael, Elisha, Jonah, and Lot. And all ˹of them˺ We favoured over the worlds.

6:87

And some of their fathers, descendants, and brothers. And We chose them and guided them to a straight path.

6:88

That is the guidance of Allāh by which He guides whom He wills of His servants. But if they had associated partners ˹with Him˺, their deeds would have become worthless for them.

6:89

Those are the ones to whom We gave the Scripture and authority and prophethood. But if these ˹disbelievers˺ deny it, then We have entrusted it to a people who will never be deniers of it.

6:90

Those are the ones Allāh guided, so follow their guidance. Say, “I ask you no reward for it. It is nothing but a reminder for all worlds.”

6:91

And they did not appraise Allāh with the appraisal due to Him when they said, “Allāh has not revealed anything to a human being.” Say, “Who revealed the Book that Moses brought as a light and a guidance for the people? You make it into separate sheets, displaying some and concealing much. And you were taught what neither you nor your forefathers had known.” Say, “Allāh.” Then leave them to their idle discourse, playing.

6:92

And this is a blessed Book which We have sent down, confirming what was before it, so that you may warn the Mother of Cities (Mecca) and all those around it. And those who believe in the Hereafter believe in it and safeguard their prayers.

6:93

And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allāh or says, “It has been revealed to me,” when nothing has been revealed to him, or one who says, “I can reveal the like of what Allāh has revealed”? If only you could see when the wrongdoers are in the agonies of death while the angels stretch out their hands, ˹saying,˺ “Yield up your souls! Today you will be recompensed with the punishment of disgrace for what you used to say about Allāh other than the truth and for being arrogant toward His revelations.”

6:94

“And you have certainly come to Us alone as We created you the first time, and you have left behind you what We had bestowed upon you. And We do not see with you your intercessors whom you claimed were partners with Allāh among you. The ties between you have been severed, and what you used to claim has vanished from you.”

6:95

Indeed, Allāh is the Splitter of the grain and the date seed. He brings the living out of the dead, and He is the Bringer of the dead out of the living. That is Allāh, so how are you deluded?

6:96

He is the Splitter of the dawn. He has made the night a rest, and the sun and the moon for reckoning. That is the decree of the Almighty, the All-Knowing.

6:97

And He is the One who made the stars for you that you may be guided by them through the darknesses of the land and the sea. We have detailed the revelations for a people who know.

6:98

And He is the One who produced you from a single soul, and there is a resting place (in the womb or grave) and a repository (on earth). We have detailed the revelations for a people who understand.

6:99

And He is the One who sent down rain from the sky, and We brought forth by it the growth of all things. We brought forth from it greenery from which We bring forth grains piled up. And from the palm trees—of its emerging clusters are dates hanging low. And ˹We brought forth˺ gardens of grapevines, olives, and pomegranates, similar ˹in species˺ and dissimilar ˹in taste˺. Look at its fruit when it yields and ˹when˺ it ripens. Indeed, in that are signs for a people who believe.

6:100

But they have ascribed to Allāh partners from among the jinn, although He created them, and they falsely attribute to Him sons and daughters without knowledge. Exalted and High is He above what they describe.

6:101

He is the Originator of the heavens and the earth. How could He have a son when He has no consort? He created all things, and He is All-Knowing of everything.

6:102

That is Allāh, your Lord. There is no god except Him, the Creator of all things, so worship Him. And He is the Guardian over all things.

6:103

Vision does not encompass Him, but He encompasses ˹all˺ vision. And He is the Most Subtle, the All-Aware.

6:104

There has come to you enlightenment from your Lord. So whoever sees clearly does so for his own soul, and whoever is blind does so against it. And I am not a guardian over you.

6:105

And thus We diversify the revelations, so that they may say, “You have studied,” and so that We may make it clear for a people who know.

6:106

Follow what has been revealed to you from your Lord; there is no god except Him; and turn away from the polytheists.

6:107

Had Allāh willed, they would not have associated partners ˹with Him˺. But We have not made you a guardian over them, nor are you a disposer of their affairs.

6:108

Do not insult those whom they call upon instead of Allāh, lest they insult Allāh in enmity without knowledge. Thus We have made attractive to every community its deeds. Then to their Lord is their return, and He will inform them about what they used to do.

6:109

And they swore by Allāh their strongest oaths that if a sign came to them, they would surely believe in it. Say, “The signs are only with Allāh.” And what will make you realize that when they ˹the signs˺ come, they will not believe?

6:110

And We will turn their hearts and their vision, just as they refused to believe in it the first time, and We will leave them in their transgression, wandering blindly.
